"Hi girl, welcome home" He said gladly and she felt her eyes filling with tears as the fear took over her body, she was back in that room, it wasn't a nightmare, she was there, he was there and all the effort she'd put into escaping and building a new life had been for nothing. She was a prisoner again, nothing had changed.
"Daddy, please…" Jade said scared and he sat down on the bed next to her, so she stared at him terrified, she felt he was about to punish her for leaving him "Please…" she said as she trembled and tried to move back.
"Baby, why are you so scared? You're home, you're safe with me, I'm your real family" He affirmed and smiled "Take a breath, it's okay" He said and Jade obeyed, she wasn't in position to say no "Come on, take it in and out…" He said and she started taking breaths to calm down.
"That's good, very good" He said "Feeling better?" He asked.
"Yeah…" She muttered and took another breath.
"I know you feel guilty because you've been a very bad girl, but I'm willing to forgive you and forget your betrayal because I'm a good daddy" He said and held her hands "You know I love you, right?" He asked, but she just stared at him scared, she didn't really know what to say.
"I…" She started and he sighed annoyed as he let go of her hands.
"I'm trying to leave this behind us, but we can't do that if you keep this attitude" He commented and she looked down.
"I'm sorry" Jade said as she stared at the floor and he nodded.
"I know you are, honey" He said as he stroked the tears off her face "I want us to have what we had before, it was just the two of us and we were so happy, remember?" He commented.
"Yes" Jade said nervously, she knew she wouldn't convince him so there was no point in trying, she could only plan her escape again, so she looked around the room and realized the door was different.
"You see the new door I got you?" He asked, it was like he could read her mind "It's got an electronic lock, only I know the passcode that opens it, so if you ever tried to hurt me, you'd be stuck in here and you'd starve to death, but I know you wouldn't be so silly" He said and smiled while she stared at him terrified.
"Why would I hurt you?" Jade asked and he shrugged.
"Just taking some precautions, I wasn't careful enough before and look what happened, you got lost" He commented "And I know you were brainwashed, now you think I abused you and you might feel that you need to leave me again, but I know in my heart you'll eventually realize this is your place, this is home" He affirmed as he held her hands "You understand, right? This is not a prison, but we need to protect you from yourself and all those people out there" He added.
"Okay…" Jade said nervously as she looked into space, she didn't want to keep talking. It was over anyway, there was nothing she could do to change her situation, she knew he would never trust her again.
"You look so beautiful" He said as he stroked her face and she tried to smile.
"Thank you…" She said nervously.
"You're a woman now, but you'll always be my little girl" He said as he moved his hand down her neck and then her shoulders, so she started trembling even more, she knew where he was going "Come here" He said and hugged her, she tried to hug him back but she couldn't bring herself to do it.
Jade was just trembling as he hugged her tightly and then she felt him sniffing her head, he stroked her hair and moaned a little, so she closed her eyes disgusted "You smell so good…" He said and slowly broke the hug, so she knew what was about to happen and she only wanted to disappear into thin air.
"Dad…" She whispered nervously and he smiled as he stroked her arm.
"Oh…I've missed you" He said as he slowly made her lay down and got on top of her, he started kissing her face and neck and she simply closed her eyes as several tears streamed down her cheeks "You're still my little girl, aren't you?" He whispered on her ear, but she didn't want to respond.
"Daddy, please don't" Jade said terrified and he glared at her angrily.
"You're still my girl, say it" He demanded coldly, but she refused so he put his hand around her neck "Say it" He ordered and she had trouble breathing, so she nodded.
"Y…yes" Jade said with a shaky voice and he let go of her neck.
"SAY IT!" He demanded upset as he undressed her and she cried even more, so he grabbed her jaw tightly "Say it" He said right on her face and she stared at him terrified.
"I'm your little girl" Jade said and he smiled.
"Say it again" He said and continued kissing her chest.
"I'm your little girl" Jade repeated as she cried her eyes out and then felt him pushing himself into her body, so she closed her eyes in pain and frustration "Ah…" She said because he'd hurt her, but he didn't care.
"Again…" He demanded and pushed himself into her again.
"I'm your little girl" Jade said and he smiled.
"Again" He said as he caught his breath.
"I'm your little girl" She repeated again and kept crying, so he smiled.
"That's right, you are mine, only mine, don't ever forget it" He said satisfied on her ear and continued raping her, so she just closed her eyes and tried to pretend she wasn't there, but feeling him on top of her, feeling him inside her, feeling his lips on her face, all of it, transported her back to her childhood and all she wanted was to die.
Hours, days and weeks passed and the police didn't have a lead to find Jade yet, her father had been extremely careful so they didn't know how to locate them and everyone was going crazy.
"This is ridiculous, it's been a month and you can't tell me anything new, what is your job exactly?" Mr. West asked the detectives angrily and they sighed.
"I understand your anger, but believe me, we are doing everything we can to find your daughter" Alex affirmed.
"And what's that, uh? You've reviewed security footage a thousand times, it's obvious you won't find her there, what else are you doing?" Evelyn asked upset.
"Someone in the squad had the idea to monitor the dark web, we know he rented her out when she was a kid and he probably used some under the radar website to do it, people don't change so…" Anna explained.
"What are you saying? You think he is going to start prostituting her again?" Mr. West asked.
"It's a possibility and right now, it would be great if he did" Alex said.
"What the hell is wrong with you? How is that great? Other men would be abusing her too, she doesn't need that" Tori said angrily.
"It's the only way we are going to find her, the only information we have so far is that she is in some room underground with no way out and that's not gonna lead us to her" Anna commented "But if he offered her up, the client would have to go to the house and we would find her"
"That is so messed up…" Andre commented.
"And? Have you found anything?" Diana asked.
"We just started monitoring some known sites, but nothing yet, we'll keep you posted"
Jade had been in the room for a month, but it felt like a year, every day was agony for her in that place and the minutes went by slowly, so she didn't know exactly how long it'd been, she truly felt it was an eternity. She could only walk around the tiny room, look at the ceiling and think about all the things she'd never have back, she missed her parents, she missed her friends, she missed school and she missed her freedom.
Jade was just in her bed staring at the wall when she heard steps coming, so she sighed, she knew it was her father, so she simply stared at the door waiting for him to come in. He opened it, he put in the code to lock it again and smiled at her.
"Hey darling, I brought lunch" He said and handed her a salad, so she grabbed it.
"Thanks…" She said.
"That's not all, I also got you some new clothes" He informed as he showed her a bag and she immediately recognized the logo, it was a lingerie store.
"What for?" Jade asked nervously.
"You know that already, don't you remember?" He commented "When we get visitors, you have to look nice"
"Dad, why can't we just be normal?" Jade asked sincerely "Do you even love me? Really?"
"You are my own flesh and blood, honey, of course I love you" He said and stroked her face "But our love goes beyond a normal father-daughter relationship, we are soulmates" He commented and she was just thinking about how she had actually believed that for most of her life, but after having been free for three years, she could only think about how sick their relationship was. He was her father and she'd had sex with him so many times that she had lost count, she felt disgusting.
"Now let's eat, I'm starving and I'm sure you are too" He said and they sat down on the floor to eat lunch.
He simply looked at her as she ate her salad and smiled to himself, it felt good to have her back and he was going to make sure she stayed there forever. "Tell me girl, what was your other life like? Did you play games with your daddy too?" He asked and she looked at him coldly.
"No" Jade said.
"I bet he wanted to, who wouldn't?" He commented smirking and she looked down ashamedly "Don't be ashamed, you're beautiful, it's normal"
"He…didn't like me like that" Jade informed and kept playing with her salad nervously.
"What about that boy you were dating? I saw your pictures with him, I'm sure you two had a lot of fun together" He commented smiling "I taught you lots of things, I'm sure he enjoyed it" He said and Jade put her fork down disgusted, she'd lost her appetite
"I don't want to talk about this" Jade said.
"Come on, tell me…I want to know" He said as he got closer to her.
"Please don't" She said nervously, but he didn't care.
"You let him touch you, you let him slip his hand under your panties, didn't you?" He questioned and smiled cynically, so she closed her eyes uncomfortably "You moaned with him like you moan with me" He added as he touched her thighs and made his way up.
"Dad, please stop…" She said nervously and pushed his hand away.
"Do me like you did him" He ordered.
"What?" Jade asked scared.
"You heard me, do me like you did him" He demanded coldly, but she only stared at him nervously, so he grabbed the back of her head violently "DO ME LIKE YOU DID HIM" He screamed.
"Daddy, please…" Jade insisted as several tears streamed down her cheeks, but he only smiled maliciously.
"On your knees, whore" He ordered and put her on her knees on the floor, he pushed her head down and she felt him unzipping his pants.
"Dad, please" Jade begged as she cried and tried to crawl away from him, but he kept holding her close.
"You are mine, you hear me? Only mine" He affirmed and proceeded to rape her again, he'd been doing it constantly, but it never became any easier, if anything, she felt worse after each time.
He finished raping her after a while and simply zipped his pants while she sat down on the bed, her knees hurt after being on the ground and having him all over her "Don't look at me like that, girl" He said coldly, because she was just glaring at him "This was only to remind you that you're mine, you whored yourself out to that stupid boy and for what? He doesn't care, no one does" He affirmed.
"He cares more about me than you ever have" Jade responded coldly and he chuckled.
"Really? Oh honey, you're so naïve" He said and shook his head "That boy just wanted to fuck you and I'm sure he did, countless times, didn't he?" He asked upset, but she didn't respond "Of course he did, you spread your legs for him like a whore and that's why he was with you, easy sex, are you proud of yourself for that?"
"You don't even know him" Jade said upset.
"I know men, especially young men, he played you and you still think he loves you" Her father said and laughed "You're not ready for the outside world, you're better off in here with me, safe"
"Safe?" Jade asked angrily as her eyes filled with tears "I live with my rapist" She added.
"What did you call me?" He asked angrily.
"You heard me, rapist, because that's what you are!" Jade exclaimed and the next thing she felt was his hand across her face, he'd slapped her but she didn't care, she'd been honest and finally called him what he was "You can hit me, but you can't erase what you are, what you did to me" She said angrily.
"I see how things are" He said emotionlessly "I hope you enjoyed your meal, I'll come back when you have a better attitude" He added and she knew exactly what he meant, but she didn't say anything, he simply left the room, locked the door and a few seconds later, the lights went out.
Jade simply laid down on the bed and started crying, she felt so hopeless in his hands. She closed her eyes and all she could see was her father, even in all that darkness, his face was vivid as if he were still there and his voice resounded in her head over and over, all the things he'd said to her.
She knew he was manipulating her, but she couldn't help to feel he was right in some ways, she felt he owned her and she even started questioning her relationship with Beck, maybe her father was right, maybe he'd only been with her because she gave him easy sex, she knew in her head it was just her fear, she loved him and she felt he loved her back, but her father's words replayed in her head so many times, that she couldn't even trust her own instincts anymore, she just wanted everything to end.
Jade's friends always went to her house after school to see if there were any news, so they arrived on Friday and Diana opened the door.
"Guys, we have news" She said gladly and they looked at her surprised.
"Really? What is it?" Beck asked.
"Come on in" She said and they followed her into the living room, Anna and Alex were there with her parents and there was a picture of Jade from the slap on the TV screen.
"What happened?" Tori questioned.
"He did it, the bastard finally opened the business" Anna said.
"Is that it?" Andre asked referring to the picture on the screen "I thought it'd be something a little racier, for an advertisement, this is just her profile picture"
"He is not concealing her identity, he is advertising her as a high school girl, that's why he took her photo from her the slap page, these things are not explicit…it's all coded" He explained and they looked at the screen, it was a picture of Jade smiling with a microphone in her hand.
"Bastard" Evelyn said angrily.
"Any takers yet?" Andre questioned.
"She is getting some attention, as expected but her father hasn't arranged anything yet, as soon as he makes the appointment, we'll have him" Alex said.
"But what if we don't get there in time? What if another bastard rapes her?" Beck asked worriedly.
"We have to trust the plan, we'll do everything we can to make sure she is okay" Anna said.
"I don't think 'okay' is really a possibility after all this time" Tori said sadly "I mean, she's been with that creep for over a month, I don't think they've been just talking"
"My poor baby…" Evelyn said and looked down wiping her tears away, she'd barely slept all that time and every time she thought about what was happening to Jade, she felt her heart was being ripped out of her body. She just wanted to hug her and protect her.
"Let's not think about that right now" Anna said trying to make them feel better "We need to focus on finding her"
"You really think this is going to work?" Diana asked questioned worriedly and the detectives looked at each other.
"It has to work, because we don't have a lot of options"
