Eevee sat up and looked around. She had just woken up, and she had no idea where she was. Waves lapped on a sandy shore, and a few Wingull flew over the ocean. A Luvdisc splashed up from the water, then dove back down.
Curious, she walked over to the water and looked in. A furry brown Eevee with big ears and fluffy neck fur looked back. She screamed and dashed away, bumping into a Popplio.
Popplio rubbed her snout and looked at Eevee, confused. "Why are you so scared?"
"I was a human!" Eevee shouted in worry. "And now I'm an Eevee!"
"Oh... well that's odd. I've never heard of that happening before," Popplio said to herself. "Where do you come from? How did you get here?"
Eevee looked at her paws. "I don't remember anything besides the fact that I was a human..."
"Aw, I'm sorry," Popplio comforted, reaching a flipper and patting Eevee's back with it. Suddenly her eyes lit up.
"I just met my friend Litten. She was walking with a Mudkip, who also claimed he was a human. She said they were going to start a Rescue Team."
"A Rescue Team?"
"They save Pokemon from Mystery Dungeons. They're really mysterious and wild Pokemon, enraged by the recent natural disasters, jump out and attack you." She shivered.
Well, if it will help me become a human again... "I'll join!" Eevee exclaimed, finishing her thought aloud.
"Yay!" Popplio barked, clapping her flippers together in joy. "Follow me to PokeTown. That's where the Rescue Team Bulletin Board is. Rescue Teams go there to find jobs and become... well, a Rescue Team!" She dashed away, starting down the beach.
Eevee followed her new friend and together they walked down the shore, chatting.
