Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: A Dawning Path

Six humans from the Pokemon-Human World must now journey to the Pokemon World and become Pokemon. Will Fennekin, Mudkip, Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, and Cydanquil, along with their partners (Snivy, Litten, Charmander, Popplio, Torchic, and Totodile) be able to save the Pokemon World before it's too late?

7. Chapter 6:Cyndaquil

Hi everyone! Happy Friday and welcome to Chapter 6:Cyndaquil! Cyndaquil, you may hold up the sign.

Cyndaquil felt something sturdy pushing and prodding him. He groaned and sat up.

A Totodile was looking at him with a worried expression on his face. This expression turned happy once he saw that Cyndaquil was okay.

"Hi there!" he said cheerfully, extending a clawed paw in a gesture of greeting. "I'm Totodile. What's a Fire-Type Cyndaquil like you doing here on this beach?"

"AM I DREAMING OR DID A TOTODILE JUST TALK?" Cyndaquil shouted out loud.

"Uh... well, you're a Pokemon too, and you can talk," Totodile protested with a confused look on his blue face.

"I'm a human, not a Cyndaquil!" Cyndaquil tried to explain.

"Then you can go have a look in the ocean over there," Totodile said, pointing a paw at the rippling ocean. Cyndaquil shrugged and nodded, but as he was walking over, he saw an Eevee and Popplio walking through the sand together. Something is familiar about that Eevee... he thought. But what could it be?

He turned his attention back to the ocean. A Cyndaquil stared straight back at him. He yelled and jumped back, rolling right into Totodile.

Totodile sweat-dropped. "So, you really are a human?" he joked, helping Cyndaquil up. "Well, as long as you're here..." His eyes shone. "I've been looking for a partner to start a Rescue Team with! Would you like to join?

Cyndaquil shook his head. "I have to find out why I became a Pokemon. Sorry."

"Oh...okay," Totodile muttered, beginning to plod off down the beach alone.

"But, maybe if we can find out why I'm a human and be a.. uh... Rescue Team?" Cyndaquil began, feeling sorry for Totodile. He stopped mid-sentence, confused. "What is a 'Rescue Team?'"

"They save Pokemon from Mystery Dungeons!" Totodile explained, whirling around and looking at Cyndaquil. "Many natural disasters have occurred lately, causing Pokemon to get worked up and attack you. Rescue Teams battle them, and then save innocent Pokemon from danger!" He got a dreamy look in his eyes. "That could be us... Well, if we want to sign up, follow me!"

"To where?" Cyndaquil asked as they walked down the beach together.

"PokeTown, where the Rescue Team Bulletin Board is up. There, Rescue Teams take jobs and sign up to become a Rescue Team!"

Cyndaquil nodded to show he understood.

And so, they walked to PokeTown!
