Hey guys! Here is chapter 3 for you a day early! I was thinking about splitting this chapter because it was longer than the previous two. Instead, you guys get a slightly longer chapter. Enjoy!
Once everyone had arrived at the dorms, it didn't take long for 30 minutes to pass by. Everyone was in the common area at the appointed time… except for Bakugo and Kirishima who were in Bakugo's room. "Dude I thought you agreed to go" Kirishima stood leaning against the wall of the room.
"I never agreed to anything" Bakugo replied from his position on the bed.
"Come ooooon man" Kirishima begged.
"Dammit Kirishima, why do you have to be so annoying and persistent?" Bakugo stood up, "I was going to go anyway you dimwit."
"That's the spirit Bakugo" Kirishima held out a fist, but Bakugo ignored him and walked out the door.
In the common area, Iida looked around counting, "16… 17… 18… and 19 including myself. Hmm… it seems we are missing Kirishima."
"No we aren't" Kirishima replied as he appeared with Bakugo trudging in slowly after him. "Sorry I thought I had everything handled before we got back to the dorms, but Bakugo kept changing his mind."
"Shut up before I change my mind again" Bakugo said as he glared at everyone, daring them to reply.
"Well now that everyone is here we can begin. As all of you know, I am Tenya Iida, and I am also the class rep. Thus, I will go first unless anyone prefers otherwise." Iida looked around at everyone. "No? Okay, my quirk is called engine. Thanks to the boosters in my legs, I can run much faster than a normal person can. Another thing I would like to share is that I am the younger brother of former pro hero Ingenium. I have taken his hero name in order to preserve his legacy, and though I have a long way to go, I hope to one day be a hero as inspiring and helpful as he was." He paused for a moment, "Whoever wants to go next, feel free to say something along the same lines. Of course, you can also say whatever else you want about yourself."
From there, things went smoothly as Aoyama, Mina, Toru, Ojiro, Sato, Sero, Shoji, Tokoyami, Koda, Tsu, Jiro, Kaminari, Mineta, Todoroki, Uraraka, and Kirishima each described their quirks and other interesting facts about themselves. As Yaoyorozu went, Midoriya thought about what he should say. I definitely need to mention that All Might is my inspiration, and my classmates inspire me through their hard work. Oh and I should mention my mom as well… Suddenly it was his turn. He stood up, cleared his throat, and began, "My name is Izuku Midoriya and my quirk is super-power. I can enhance my strength and speed in my entire body. Personally, I was inspired to become a hero at a young age. All Might has always been an inspiration for me, and I strive to follow in his footsteps by saving people with a smile. I was devastated when he had to retire, but it gives me all the more reason to become a great hero. I am grateful to the many people that support and believe in me. My mother supports me wholeheartedly and I am thankful everyday for her love. You my classmates also inspire me to work harder, through..."
"Geez Deku, you're not supposed to be giving a damn speech" Bakugo interjected.
"S…s…sorry Kacchan" Midoriya stuttered as Bakugo glared at him.
"It's my turn now so listen up extras" Bakugo turned toward everyone. "My name is Katsuki Bakugo and my quirk is explosion. Basically I can explode things because I sweat a nitroglycerin-like substance, and I'm going to be the #1 hero, even better than All Might…" He paused to think for a moment, "…that's it." He started to walk away but stopped, "Actually" He turned around, "Hey new girl." Sumire looked at him nervously, "Why did you look at me weirdly on the way here."
"Hey Bakugo be nice…" Mina started.
"It's okay Mina." Sumire took a deep breath to calm herself, "He has a right to know." She turned back to him, "Sorry, I was using my quirk." She continued talking before he could reply, "As everyone should already know, my name is Sumire Kenshutsu. My quirk is called organoleptic. With it, I can manipulate the five senses of myself or somebody else. That's what you saw in my eyes." Bakugo remained silent, "I had enhanced my vision to look around at everyone, and I happened to notice you were looking at me. I assumed you were curious about me since I am new here, so I enhanced your vision slightly as well."
Bakugo frowned, Now that I think about it, I was standing pretty far away from her, but I could still see her eyes so distinctly.
"I guess I shouldn't be so reckless using my quirk on random people" she smiled sheepishly.
Mina spoke up, "Wait did you just say Bakugo was looking at you? Like, as in staring at you?"
"Shut up Pinky. We just happened to look at each other at the same time. It was a coincidence" Bakugo replied with a growl.
"Calm down Bakugo, I was joking" Mina replied with a laugh.
"Anyway…" Sumire began again, "…other things about me… Oh I have two brothers, and my dad is an engineer. I think someone asked what my connection to Mr. Aizawa is, my dad is actually a childhood friend of his. Also some hobbies I have include biking, reading, and playing instruments."
"Hey wait what do you play?" Jiro asked coolly.
"Oh I play piano and guitar" Sumire answered.
"You should totally play something for me sometime" Jiro twirled her earphone jack.
"Oh yeah you play bass right? Sumire recalled. "You should play something for me too." She turned back to the group, "Does anyone else have a question for me?"
Toru raised her invisible hand, "I do! What's something unique about you?"
Sumire paused to think, "Something unique?... Um I like to collect nice hats. I guess that's something unique."
Sumire was about to continue when she noticed Mr. Aizawa approach the group, "Sorry to break up your bonding experience but it's dinner time."
"It's okay Mr. Aizawa, we were basically done" Sumire replied. Everyone got up and began to make their way over to eat. As Sumire walked, she thought back to what Mina had said, Was he staring at me? No way. Sumire shook her head. Why would anyone be interested in someone like me?
