Chapter 4 is finally here! I sincerely apologize for not posting last week. I didn't feel ready to post this chapter, so I am posting it now. This chapter features a training session between Sumire and Midoriya. Enjoy!

The next day was a special training day. Everyone had changed into their hero costumes and stood waiting at ground beta. "Since we have a new student, I wanted to do something a little bit different today" Mr. Aizawa stood with Ectoplasm. "I assume that you guys already know what Kenshutsu's quirk is." The class nodded in agreement. "However, you probably don't know anything beyond a general description." He turned to look at Ectoplasm, "Everyone will be doing quirk training with Ectoplasm, but individually you will be pulled to face off against Kenshutsu." Mr. Aizawa turned back towards the students, "This will test everyone's skills at adapting to situations and formulating strategy against unknown enemies. We will be doing this training for the next 3 days with 5 students per day. Don't tell your peers anything so that everyone truly benefits and learns from this training. With that said, the first student to face Kenshutsu will be Sato."

"Alright" Sato nodded.

"Kenshutsu and Sato, follow me, and the rest of you follow Ectoplasm" Mr. Aizawa said before he began walking to the left with Sumire and Sato following behind. The rest of the class followed Ectoplasm to the right.

Once inside one of the buildings within the training grounds, Mr. Aizawa explained the rules of the one-on-one training. "Kenshutsu will be the villain and Sato will be the hero. Both of you will have capture tape that you need to wrap around your opponent to win, but there is a 10 minute time limit. In the scenario, this building is in a busy city center, so the hero will want to keep destruction to a minimum. I want you guys to capture your opponent without knocking them out, so you are going to have to be able to strategize well." He turned to Sumire, "Kenshutsu, choose a place in the building to start at." He turned back to Sato, "Sato, go to the entrance, and I will let you both know when the time starts." They both began to walk to their respective starting places with capture tape and earpieces. Once they were there and ready to start, Mr. Aizawa began the training session.

Sumire stood on the third floor of the building thinking of a strategy. Sato, his quirk was called sugar rush. He gets super strength from eating sugar. Okay so my best bet is to ambush and then capture him, so I'm going to need to keep track of his movements. She closed her eyes and increased her sense of hearing. Her ears instantly picked up the sound of his footsteps coming from the right side of the second floor. She traced his movements as he began to rise to the third floor. She gripped her capture tape in one hand, counting down the seconds before he would turn the corner, 5...4...3...2...1...

After Sato returned from his individual session, Ectoplasm informed the next student to go. That day the other students that went were Kaminari, Tsu, Iida, and Hagakure. The following day, the order was Todoroki, Uraraka, Mineta, Sero, and Yaoyorozu. On the third day, Koda went first. Then Ectoplasm notified Midoriya that it was his turn.

As Midoriya made his way over to the building where Sumire and Mr. Aizawa were, he thought about the challenge that lay before him. I know she can manipulate the five senses, but I wonder to what extent? I'm sure she'll try to locate me with her senses if we are separated, but if we start together then she'll probably focus on decreasing my sense of sight. I need to avoid her quirk as much as possible, but if she uses it on me then I'll need to be able to fight even with handicaps. He finally made it to the building and listened to Mr. Aizawa recite the rules. Okay so she'll probably be able to sneak up on me thanks to her quirk. I'm going to have to rely on my speed to counteract that. I need to be able to get close enough so that I can capture her. He continued to think things over as the training commenced.

Sumire stood on the fifth floor listening and thinking, So he's another fast one like Iida, and on top of that he also has increased strength. He'll be tough, but as long as I keep my distance at first I should be fine... She was forced to finish her thoughts because Midoriya was ascending the building very quickly. She distanced herself from the side he would come up and waited.

He burst through and immediately sent a blast of air towards her, Strike first and adapt to the situation. She wasn't able to move out of the way in time and had to brace herself from the air blast. Midoriya began to close the distance between them, but she was finally able to activate her quirk on him. Okay I can't really see, he held his hand in front of him ready to send another blast of air. Should I just shoot randomly? No. I need to recall her position in the room to shoot and then move away while also keeping track of my position.

Sumire remained where she stood and withheld from moving closer. I don't want to get close just in case he starts blindly attacking, her thoughts flashed back to her match with Sero. Suddenly an air blast hit her by surprise. She was knocked back but somehow remained on her feet, and watched as Midoriya started to carefully move away. Okay he's very adaptive. I need to capture him now so that this doesn't drag on. She shifted and began to move towards him, trying to stay away from his outstretched hand. Suddenly, he sent two air blasts to his left and right, with the right one knocking her to the ground as he finally made it out of the room.

Once out of the room, his sight returned. Okay so I'm guessing she can only use her quirk on others if she can see them. He stood watching the entrance, So I need to draw her to a floor with more walls and less open space. He took off, heading to the second floor, which had plenty of walls.

Sumire got up from the ground, He is proving to be a more difficult opponent than I thought. She focused her hearing and detected him quickly making his way down to the second floor. First he surprised me with a long-distance attack, second he was still able to manage without his sight, and now he's going to a floor with lots of walls. I guess he figured out that I can't use my quirk on other people unless they're in my line of sight. With her sense of hearing still increased, she began making her way towards him. I need to predict his actions better and catch him off guard.

Meanwhile Midoriya was waiting on the second floor, No doubt she'll be able to detect where I am, but if I can get close enough to her... He held his breath for a moment and tried to listen, but he couldn't hear anything. I need to memorize what the area looks like so I can escape if needed. He looked around to take in his surroundings. I should go to a smaller area so that she's forced to come close if she wants to use her quirk. If I do that, maybe I can immobilize her.

Sumire finally made it to the second floor, I can hear his breathing in the far left corner. I need to be careful when I get to him, but if it comes to close combat, if I can get one hit, then that might be enough. She headed towards the corner.

Suddenly she was there, and Midoriya lunged towards her, I don't think she'll be able to dodge this, and an actual punch will wear her down more than an air blast. Wait I can still see... Despite his speed, Sumire was able to land a punch first because she had the element of surprise. Right before she struck, she increased his sense of touch drastically. Although the punch was average in strength, it felt like it had shattered all of the bones in his chest.

She watched as Midoriya quickly leaped out of sight, I have been surprised once more. I really thought that he wouldn't have been able to move so fast after a punch like that. She frowned and began trying to come up with a new plan.

Mr. Aizawa's voice came through the earpieces, "There are only two minutes remaining."

Midoriya was heading back up to the fifth floor. Shoot, there isn't much time left. He gritted his teeth, Geez that hurt a lot. If I hadn't broken my fingers so much in the past, I think she would've gotten me. He clutched his chest. The pain was no longer as severe, but there were still lingering traces.

Sumire made it to the fifth floor and activated her quirk on him again, I need to hurry. However, Midoriya began rapidly jumping all over the room just like Gran Torino. He's too fast. She kept her eyes trained on him while also trying to avoid getting hit. After watching his movements for a while, she waited in one place. He came hurtling towards her, and she held a fist back waiting and ready to strike; her fist and his leg moments from smashing into each other…

"Time's up!" Mr. Aizawa signaled, "This session results in a tie." Sumire just managed to dodge Midoriya and released her quirk. Midoriya landed ungracefully onto the ground, and both students sighed. As they made their way down, they talked about the match.

"You have a really incredible quirk, and you're strategic too" Midoriya complimented.

"Thanks! You were a really great strategist too. You were able to adapt quickly to different situations and figure out information about your opponent. I'm just lucky to have a really strong quirk" Sumire said as she shrugged.

"That's not true" he said as he shook his head in disagreement. "People can be still be weak even if they have a strong quirk. It takes skill and hard work to handle a quirk the way you did" Midoriya replied. They finally made it to the first floor.

"That match was very close between you two" Mr. Aizawa said as they made their way to him. "I hope you both learned something from this training exercise. He turned to Midoriya, "Midoriya, you can head back and tell Ectoplasm to send the next student. Then you can head to Recovery Girl's office if you got hurt."

"Yes sir. I think I'm fine though" Midoriya replied. "See you guys later!" He headed out of the building toward Ectoplasm and the rest of class 1-A. After his session, he was followed by Aoyama, Shoji, and Mina. On the final day, the order was Kirishima, Jiro, Ojiro, and Tokoyami.

"Bakugo, you're the last one" Ectoplasm told him once Tokoyami had returned.

"I already knew that" Bakugo grumbled. He set off towards Sumire and Mr. Aizawa. Sure quirk training is helping us improve, but why did I have to be stuck being the last damn person to go. He set his mouth in a straight line as he thought about the training ahead. I am going to win. He clenched his fists, I am going to beat that Sumire girl.

I hope this chapter was as exciting for you guys to read as it was for me to write. Chapter 5 is going to feature Sumire vs. Bakugo! Who do you think will win? Or will it result in a tie? How will the fight play out between the two? Remember to feel free to leave a review with tips, requests, or comments.
