It had been about almost a year since Luna had adopted Linc. She has taught him so many things about being a wolf. To be exact, how to hunt, how to know where you're going, how to survive with very little but yourself and how to take care of a pact. Of course, since Linc was a human child, getting him to understand all of this was taking some time, since it seemed like he didn't even know what the heck Luna was talking about. But she didn't care, since she just enjoyed spending time with her little pup...

Meanwhile, somewhere deep within the woods, a wounded female wolf with blonde fur was wondering the woodland grounds. She went by the name Sam. It had been a few week since she had lost her pack to human hunters. It left her not only with physical wounds and scars, but a newfound hatred. A hatred for humans. They took everything from her, and now she wishes to do the same with them. However, she didn't the strength to carry on with her desire since she was starving and tired, running with food for days now. Only the fresh water from streams and rivers were willing to sustain her, but she could still feel her body growing weaker. She needed to find something, and fast.

Sam:"Something...anything to eat."

Looking around, just as she was about give out, she was surprised to see some meat that had been piled up. She thought this was a call from heaven to not give up hope just yet as she rushes over to the food. She did however suspect that it was just another pact's latest hunt, and decides to go over to it slowly...

Sam:"I'm really hoping they don't mind if I just sneak some for myself."

But as she was getting close to taking a bite out of the meat, something came from the bushes and attacked her. Sam did her best to protect herself as she felt herself getting clawed and bitten on. Fortunately for her, another figure got the first on off her, allowing her to recover. Sam could barely open her eyes as she saw that it was three other wolves, two who also had blonde fur and were older than her and another with brown fur and was a year younger than her. The oldest growled angrily at Sam as she could barely stand...

Lori:"Trying to steal our food, huh? Well, tough luck."

Sam:"I'm just so hungry. It's been weeks since my pact was killed or when I had some food. Please, forgive me."

Lori:"Scurry along, loner, before I bite your throat out."

Leni:"Lori! Why are you like this?!"

Lori:"I'm doing what is needed so that I can protect our pact."

Leni:"She just injured and hungry! You can't like your savage instincts get the better of you as always!"

Lori:"You have the nerve to call me a savage?!"

Luan:"Yes! You were hurting her for just sneaking food! And she's just a kid!"

Growling at her sisters talking back to her, Lori turned back to Sam, who was trying to keep herself from tumbling over. Letting out a heavy sigh, Lori grabs something from the meat pile, being a giant fish and throws it over to Sam...

Lori:"Here. Eat up then get lost."

Sam:"(takes the fish) Thank you."

Running along, Sam sits by a river as she chows down on the fish, wanting to get ever last bit of meat it had on it's body. It was the most decent meal she had in a while. As she manages to relax herself, she thinks back to all the stuff that has happened to her lately. Her pact was slaughtered, she's been running through the woods, wounded and broken, she was nearly killed because she just needed food. All of this was caused...humans. They ruined her life, destroyed her family, she has nothing left to lose. How the blood boils at the thought of humans...

Sam:"...I will see to it that every human I see in these woods are killed."

Later on, Luna was walking through the woods with her pup sleeping on her back. But her walk was soon interrupted when she saw an old friend of hers, Sam. She was happy to see her, but also shocked to see that she was covered in claw, teeth marks and dry blood...

Luna:"Oh my gosh. Sam, what happened?"

Sam:"The worst moments of my life?"

Luna:"Where's your pact?"

Sam:"Gone. Killed off by hunters."

Luna:"Oh gosh...I am so sorry."

Sam:"It's okay...It's not your fault. But now, I have a bitter hatred for humans."

Luna:"All humans?"

Sam:"Yes. They destroyed my family, ruined my life. I have nothing left."

Luna:"Can join me and my pact. You can be part of our family."

Sam:"That's...very nice of you, Luna. But this is something out of your control. If humans are going to treat us like we're nothing but animals, I'll be more than happy to oblige."

Luna:"Sam...if you go down this path, coming back will not be easy. You do not have nothing. You have me and you have my sisters."

Sam:"Your sister, Lori, nearly killed me!"

Luna:"Lori? Well, I would expect that from her at this point. She's been on edge ever since I brought back my brand new child."

Sam:"New child?"

Luna:"...Did I say that out loud?"

Sam:"Where is this pup of yours?"

Luna:"I'm...not so sure you would wish to see him right now."

Sam:"Come on. I'm sure it'll be fine."

After hearing what Sam had just told her, Luna knew it was not gonna be fine. She knew that Sam would kill Linc when she gets the chance at this point. But she has been working with her sisters so that she can get them used to Linc. Surely she can do the same with her best friend...

Luna:"Okay, just...Please try to remain calm."

Sam:"O-Okay then."

With Luna turning around, Sam was shocked to see Luna's new 'pup'. A human child with white hair on his head. Now she understood why Luna felt so unsure...

Luna:"Sam...this is Linc. My pup."

Sam:"...Your pup is a human."

Luna:"Yes...I found him a while back, alone and without someone to care for him. I thought it best to take him in as my own."

Sam:"...And your sisters."

Luna:"They're all getting used to him...All except Lori, who sees him as a possible threat in the future."

Sam:"...I agree with her."

Luna:"Sam-"

Sam:"The humans destroyed my family, Luna! I can't bare to see another to soon."

Luna:"Please, just listen-"

Sam:"And I can't tolerate you having one as a child."

Luna stayed silent as tears were starting to form at her eyes, same as Sam...

Sam:"...Goodbye, Luna."

And thus, Luna's best friend took off, leaving the young mother with her little pup. Luna laid down, feeling upset and regretful of what just happened. But she felt a tiny hand be placed at her cheek. She turned to see her child petting her, wanting to make you happy. She smiled at the thought of it...

Luna:"Even if I regret everything else for the rest of my life...I will never regret having you my child."

Returning to her pact, Luna could see her siblings gnawing down on some fish and deer meat. She was about to dig in herself, but as soon as she gets close, Lori glares at her before leaving the food. Luna roles her eyes as she sees Lori with her own pup, Leo, beginning to lick him clean. It was then that Lucy walked over to Luna and was staring at Linc with wonder. Although that was impossible to tell since her black fur covers her eyes...

Luna:"What's wrong, Lucy?"

Lucy:"...I wondering if I can watch over Lincoln for right now? Maybe even play with him?"

Luna had let that sunk in for a moment. It was about time that at least one of her sisters grew to be more attached to Linc. She smiled as she carried places Linc in front of her little sister...

Luna:"Okay, but please be careful with him. He's only 2 years old from what I know, so he's rather fragile."

Lucy:"I promise to be careful with him."

Luna:"Good."

Meanwhile, Lisa was stirring something in a cauldron, adding some of odd ingredients as she continues on. Leni saw this from a distance and decides to go over and ask her sister what she's been up to...

Leni:"Hey, Lisa. What are you doing?"

Lisa:"I might need to ask you to back away, Leni. This brew takes patience and I can't afford to let anything undo my hard work."

Leni:"I'm just asking what's it for."

Lisa:"It's fore Luna's child. I want him to understand us better, should we continue to tolerate him."

Leni:"I really do like Linc. He's so cute! Maybe he will grow up to be like us."

Lisa:"Doubtful, but I'm willing to change that. All I need now is Luna's permission."

Luna:"Permission for what?"

Startled by Luna's sudden appearance, Lisa almost screwed up the potion...

Lisa:"Make a sound next time! Anyway, this is for your child."

Luna:"I'm not letting you do anything crazy with him, Lisa."

Lisa:"No, no, no! This is all so that he can understand us better!"

Luna:"Really?"

Lisa:"He'll be able to communicate with us. He really will be like us."

Luna:"...I don't know."

Lisa:"It's your call. I won't force him to take it."

Thinking really hard about this, Luna reminded herself that Linc was just a baby. If anything goes wrong, she could ruin her child. But if things go right, it'll feel like she and him will be even more closer than before...

Luna:"...Okay. But make sure this goes right."

Lisa:"I will. Trust me."
