The pack had been running until nightfall. From one side to another, could they hear the snapping of tree branches and trucks fall from their bases. It was becoming very aware that their home was being destroyed. It was almost unbelievable, then again, it wasn't the first time it's happened. Last time it did happen, they had lost their parents and Lori's been leading and taking care of them ever since. But, they could've bare the thought of losing another, and they did not attend to do so. As they continued to run, they were reaching the edge of the forest, were on the other side, a wide open field was shown stretching for miles. The sound of their woods crumbling now complete list behind them, and they just kept running to nowhere.

After a day or so, they grew tired and hungry, having no where else to go as there didn't seem to be an end to the wide open field they were walking through. They were lucky to find sort of small animals to feed off of, but it wasn't enough. Lori started to fear that soon, one by one, they would all start to give out. But they were in luck, for soon enough, they found a human dwelling not far from them. Most of them rushed as quickly as they could towards it, in hopes of finding food and place to stay. But they approached it, it came into better view and their new found hope was...short lived. It was just an old farm, abandoned and collecting dust. It looked to have been deprived of...anything. But they believed that it would serve as then all got settled into the barn. All except Luna and Linc, as Lori blocked them from going inside...

Luna:"Lori, what are you-?"

Lori:"Leave it outside, Luna."

Luna:"What?"

Lori:"The child. Leave it outside right now."

Luna:"What?! I'm not gonna do that!"

Lori:"For gosh's sake, you're unbelievable! That thing is the reason as to why we have to sleep in this house of sticks in the first place!"

Luna:"Are you serious?! How in the world is any of this his fault, Lori?!"

Lori:"It was his kind that came into our territory and forced us to leave home! He is to blame!"

Luna:"That's ridiculous! It's not like he signaled them or anything!"

Leni:"Lori, that's way out of the hand!"

Lori:"SHUT UP! I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!"

Luna:"No, you don't!"

Luan:"Lori, please calm down! You go feral when you're angry!"

Lori:"All I care about is protecting this pact, and the only way to do so is to exclude any humans from it! Now, Luna, you can either do the right thing and leave that thing alone, or go with it and leave this pack alone!"

Luna:"You would kick me out just for protecting a child?!"

Lori:"It's not worth it, Luna. It's not your child."

Luna:"It is my child! I took him in! I'm raising him! And he's worth everything to me!"

Lori:"If that's what you think, then you're welcome to leave."

Luna:"I'm not going anywhere. This is still my pack."

Lori:"Was."

Luna growled at her sister, but she had failed to notice that Linc had gotten off her back. She then saw her child begin to crawl over to Lori, having a face of curiosity as he puts out his hand, wanting to reach out to her...

Linc:"Wori?"

Lori:"Get away from me!"

Linc:"Wha-? Bu...bu, Wori!"

Lori:"I said BACK!"

Out of spiteful anger, Lori had accidentally scratched the child across the face with her claws, shocking everyone, and making Luna grow more angry. By the time Lori realized what she had done, it was too late...

Lori:"...Luna, I-"

So suddenly, Luna leaped at her old sister, gripping onto her with her class and biting at her. Pretty soon, Luna had Lori pinned against the old wall of the barn...

Luna:"Touch him again...and I'll give you the fight of your life."

Sam:"Luna, stop it!"

Luna takes a look at her best friend, who has watery tears in her eyes...

Sam:"If you continue to act like this, even Linc will resent you."

She could see that Sam was tell the truth, as her little child was hiding behind Sam's tail. Her fury was replaced with sorrow as she dropped Lori, who growled in pain and anger...

Luna:"... We're done here. If you need me... I'll be outside."

And with that, Luna puts Linc back on top of her as she heads outside of the barn. Lori recovers from that scene that she and Luna just made and turns toward the rest of her pack, seeing the fear in their eyes. She lashed out anything young, not even a human child. She then shrugs it off as she turns over to Sam...

Lori:"Sam, if you wish to be with our pack, I would like for you to keep the human away from the rest of us. Else, you're welcome to join them if you'd like...

Sam:"...I'll...do what you say."

Outside, Luna was licking the wound Linc has on his cheek. Luckily, the cut wasn't deep, so it was barely even bleeding. Even Luna was frightened by the scene she and Lori had just made, seeing the sadness in her own child's eyes. She shrugged it off she looked for a place to rest in, as it's been a long day. She was lucky to see that an old hen house was still standing, thinking it work well for Linc to sleep in. Inside, she places Linc in one of the old nest and begins to rest right next to him...

Luna:"I am truly sorry, you had to see that my child. I am also sorry you were hurt. You deserve better."

Linc:"Momma..."as he hugged her

Luna:"I won't leave you. You, are my world."she lick his face

It was then that she heard what sound like Linc's stomach growling...

Luna:"Oh, you must be hungry. Heaven knows that we all are. I'll be right back, my child. I'll try to find something to feed you with."

And with that, Luna leaves Linc to rest as she searches for any sort of food. But as she left, she failed to see that a shadowy figure was approaching the hen house.
