Hey guys. I would just like to apologize for not uploading a chapter for a whole month. I will continue this fanfic, so don't give up on it! This is a pretty long chapter involving three different pairs. They each get their own little spotlight. I hope you enjoy!
Tokoyami sat silently in his room. He was a quiet guy. He generally kept to himself, and he was fine with that. Over time, he had made friends like Midoriya and his best friend Shoji. He had even confided his feelings about a certain someone to them. Though he had revealed those feelings, he had never acted on them. Of course Shoji, being a great friend, created the opportunity for Tokoyami to finally do something about it. He sighed and stood up, Well I should start getting ready for school. Tokoyami went to go wash up and change. Once he had everything he needed, he began to head over early as usual. As he stepped out of the dorms, he looked over to see Mina and Kirishima passed out on a bench. Did they stay out here all night? "Ahem" Tokoyami cleared his throat to wake up Kirishima. "Kirishima, you and Mina should probably get ready for school."
"Huh… wait what time is it?" Kirishima blinked and rubbed his eyes.
"It's almost 8:00" Tokoyami answered.
"Oh shoot! Looks like I won't be eating breakfast today" Kirishima turned to Mina and shook her lightly. "Hey Mina! Wake up! We have to get ready for school!"
Mina yawned, "Why what time is it?"
"It's basically 8:00! Home room is starting in less than half an hour, and Mr. Aizawa will not be happy if we're late!"
"8:00! I need to take a shower!" Mina jumped up and ran inside with Kirishima in tow.
Tokoyami watched them in amusement and then began making his way to class. He entered the room at 8:02 and noticed he was one of the first students in class as usual. He sat at his desk in silence while keeping a close eye on the door. As the minutes went by, more students began to trickle in. At 8:14, Uraraka and Tsu walked into class together. Tokoyami took a deep breath and stood up. He walked over to the two girls, "Uraraka, Tsu." He turned to both of them and greeted them before looking directly at Tsu. "I apologize, but may I speak to you in private Tsu?"
She glanced over at Uraraka who smiled and gave a thumbs up before refocusing her attention on Tokoyami, "Sure thing ribbit."
Tokoyami and Tsu stepped out of the room and around the corner to talk.
"So Tokoyami, what did you want to say to me?" Tsu asked him once they were alone.
Tokoyami looked at Tsu, "I was wondering if you would like to go as my date to the party. It's okay if you don't want to."
"I would be happy to accompany you to the party as your date ribbit" Tsu said with a smile.
"Um... thank you" Tokoyami looked away bashfully.
Wait is he blushing? It's hard to tell. Tsu blushed back at him.
"Well we should head back to class..." Tokoyami turned but stopped as he felt his hand being grabbed. His breath caught in his throat, and he blushed harder.
"Tokoyami, are you embarrassed?" Tsu asked him as she intertwined her fingers with his.
"No... I um... I just have never felt this way before" he said quietly.
They began to walk back together, hand in hand. Tokoyami glanced sideways at Tsu and smiled lightly.
Sumire was sitting in class and noticed Tokoyami and Tsu walk in holding hands. I guess there are three different pairs now. Suddenly, Kaminari and Sero ran in with confetti and noise makers as Ojiro followed in with a large bouquet of flowers. And I guess there is about to be four.
Ojiro stood in front of the class with Kaminari and Sero at his sides. Everyone turned their attention to them. Ojiro was blushing slightly, "Toru, I would love to go to the party with you as my date." Everyone looked back to where she was standing, but she wasn't there anymore.
"Oh Ojiro! Yes! Yes! YES!" Toru exclaimed as she threw herself at him out of nowhere. The two of them tumbled onto the ground. Kaminari and Sero began throwing confetti and using the noise makers as the rest of the class cheered.
Ojiro blushed hard, "Oh I'm glad you're so excited to go with me."
"Excited is an understatement!" Toru said as she helped him up. Once he had gotten up, he gave her the flowers, which had somehow not been crushed. In response, she gave him an invisible kiss on the cheek.
Ojiro turned extremely red, Did she just...
Suddenly, Mina and Kirishima burst into the room out of breath. "We... aren't... late" Mina said triumphantly despite being winded.
Kirishima looked around at the confetti, "Did we miss something?"
"Oui, Ojiro asked Toru to be his date to the party, and she accepted!" Aoyama stated excitedly.
"Nice man! Uh is he okay? Kirishima said as he looked at Ojiro who was still in a daze from the kiss.
"I'm sure he'll be fine" Kaminari responded with a chuckle.
Everyone went to go sit at their desks because it was finally time for class to start. As the bell rang, Mr. Aizawa entered the room. He looked around and frowned at the confetti strewn across the class. "Just because you all passed your final exams doesn't mean you can just do whatever you want. Don't forget that you will get much busier next year." He put his mouth in a straight line, "I want everyone to stay behind after class to clean up."
Once the classes were over, everyone headed back to the dorms for the night. At dinner time, Momo and Sumire were sitting together when Todoroki suddenly sat down next to them. "Hi Todoroki" Momo greeted him.
"What brings you over here?" Sumire asked.
"Hello Yaoyorozu, Kenshutsu" he nodded at both of them. "I was wondering if you would like to hang out… together."
"That's sounds nice, we'd love to" Momo replied.
"And I would love to, but I already made plans to hang out with Bakugo" Sumire added quickly.
"That's okay. Do you still want to hang out Yaoyorozu?" Todoroki turned to Momo.
"Yes that's fine" she smiled.
Todoroki finished his soba quickly and told Yaoyorozu that he would be in his room. As soon as he left, Momo turned to Sumire, "Do you really have something planned with Bakugo?"
"Not yet..."
"Then why did you say that?!" Momo questioned.
"So that you could be alone with him" Sumire replied innocently as she finished her food.
Momo turned red, "I need backup! I need you to be there with me! Just come with me and tell Todoroki that Bakugo cancelled on you."
"Look Momo, you don't need backup. You are strong and smart. You can handle Todoroki by yourself. You should really put more faith in yourself because you are totally amazing" Sumire said with a serious tone.
Momo opened and then closed her mouth. She opened it again, "Thanks Sumire."
"Well good luck! I'm going to go bother Bakugo now" Sumire stood up and walked away.
Momo stood outside Todoroki's room nervously. Should I not have changed my clothes? Also I may have sprayed too much perfume. I hope he's fine with it. What does he plan to do together? I guess I'll just have to find out.
She finally knocked and waited. The door opened after a few seconds, and she entered.
She looked around at the traditional Japanese room she had seen only once before.
"Yaoyorozu, I know you like tea, so I made some Jasmine tea. Would you like some?" Todoroki spoke.
"Yes. Thank you, you didn't have to" Momo said as she sat down.
"I wanted to" Todoroki replied as he poured two cups of tea. Momo didn't know how to respond, so she just accepted the tea. The pair quietly sipped their tea until Todoroki broke the silence, "I also have something else for you." He stood up to walk over to a drawer and pull out a book. He sat back down across from Momo, and handed her the book.
She read the title, "Todoroki! Where did you get this, and how did you know I wanted it?"
"I overheard you complaining to Jiro about how the school library didn't have it, and I remembered seeing the book on a shelf at my home." Todoroki sipped his tea.
"Oh Todoroki you really didn't have to, but thank you so much! I will return it to you as soon as I finish it" she said.
"No Yaoyorozu, you can keep it. You deserve it" he replied.
"What do you mean by that?" Momo asked as she set the book down.
Todoroki set down his tea cup and looked at Momo, "You deserve it because you work so hard and don't give yourself enough credit. Ever since we took the midterms together, and even before that, I always knew you were incredible. You will be a splendid hero. In fact, you already are one."
Momo just sat and stared at Todoroki not believing what she was hearing, I know I helped us pass the midterms, but I just got lucky. "I'm not so sure that's true..." Momo said as she looked down at her tea cup.
"Stop." Momo looked up at Todoroki in surprise. "Momo, you are so intelligent, skilled, and powerful." Not to mention you're beautiful too Todoroki thought. "Your only downfall is that you don't believe in yourself the way you should. You are amazing, and you need to realize that."
"Todoroki I..." Momo began as tears began to fall down her face.
Oh no I made her cry! I've insulted her! I used her first name without permission! I can't believe I just did that. Todoroki began to apologize,"I am so sorry, I didn't mean to..."
"No Todoroki, I'm not sad" Momo wiped away her tears.
"But you're crying" Todoroki said with a confused look on his face.
"I'm crying happy tears because of you. You are one of the most capable students in our class, and you are complimenting me. Because of you, I think I'm beginning to see myself differently. Thank you" Momo smiled.
Todoroki smiled back, "I'm glad." They sat in silence for a moment. "Also, I was wondering if you would like to be my date… to the party?"
"That would be wonderful" Momo replied. They finished their tea and talked for a while. As night drew closer, they decided to say their goodbyes.
"Goodnight Yaoyorozu, see you tomorrow" Todoroki said as Momo stood in the doorway.
"Goodnight to you too." She turned and paused, "Todoroki, you can call me Momo."
He also paused for a moment. "Goodnight… Momo" he said softly.
"Goodnight." The door closed, and Momo made her way downstairs to wash up for bed. I wonder if anyone is awake. She finally made it down and entered the common area where she was met with the sight of Sumire and Bakugo sitting next to each other asleep on a couch. Bakugo would kill me if he knew I was here. Momo quietly made her way to the bathrooms. She washed up and quietly made her way back across the common area. She took a step up the stairs and looked back at the pair. She began to ascend the steps and smiled, They look very cute together.
