The Squad-

The next week had been crappy for Amy to say the least. She embarrassed herself in Holt's class with a shockingly wrong answer and of course the break up was still fresh on her mind. She tried to not be down when they all hung out and when her and Jake did homework and things like that. But it was hard because she was sad and couldn't even tell Jake her feelings because he was still seemingly really happy with Sophia. She needed to push all this out of mind, although she did hope she wouldn't have to see Sophia as much if at all.

On Friday they went through their essays in Holt's class about why they chose the career and education path they were currently on. Jake said he was gonna be a cop because of Die Hard, Charles said because of Jake and because he wanted to help people, and Rosa said because it was cool (not a surprising amount of information from her though). Gina wasn't planning on becoming a cop so her essay focused more psychology and social stuff, although at some points it was very hard to follow along with what she was talking about. Terry said he wants to be a cop because he wants to be a hero (or a superhero, depending on the part he was at, because when he was kid and was getting bullied, the cop that helped him was like a superhero in his eyes and made him want to help people the same way that cop helped him. And Amy wrote that she wanted to become a cop because she wants to help people and because her dad and grandpa, along with other family members although it was mainly those two, have always been her heroes and she looked up to them and wanted to be like them. Holt actually smiled at Amy and Terry's essays, which made Amy feel her week was back on track finally, although it took until Friday.

On Saturday (about eight days after the party) she was happily surprised when the other five had her come with them off campus. She felt a bit bad when she was happy Sophia wasn't there, because she made Jake happy and that's all Amy cares about. She pushes those thoughts out of her mind and she grins when they arrive at a laser tag place. Almost certainly Jake's idea, but she was happy to be doing something fun with everyone. They head in and split into teams of three. They decide to do a best of seven rounds, since they have nothing else to do. They split into two teams of three made up of Amy, Rosa, and Gina on one versus Jake, Charles, and Terry on the other. They were joking around and trash talking before their first round started. "Hey Jake are you ready to get embarrassed when we have a clean four round sweep?" Amy asks mockingly.

"Ha ha Amy. I'd watch the trash talk cuz when you lose it'll be embarrassing that you thought you'd win," Jake fires back.

"You guys have no idea what you are asking for during this. You won't even see me coming," Rosa says, menacingly.

"Oh Terry isn't worried about you three. I'm gonna wipe the floor with you!" Terry chimes in.

"Oh haha we are already in your heads! You have no chance cuz Gina Linetti has already won the mind games!" Gina adds.

"We got this in the bag! Plus we have Jake who could beat all of us! You guys can't win!" Charles says with a chuckle as he high fives Jake.

"Hmm let's make it interesting then! Losers have to buy lunch!" Amy says.

"Oh you're on!" Jake says as they all shake on it. "Let the battle begin!" he yells as they head into the laser tag arena. The first two rounds go to the girls as the second two goes to the guys. Round five gets super competitive with Rosa hiding on the tops of walls and structures, while Jake uses Terry as a shield. That round goes to the guys but round six goes to the girls. Finally they come to round seven, the tiebreaker. Everyone has gotten super competitive (more than usual, which is a pretty big feat) when they head in for the final round. Charles is walking by a window in one of the walls (it's also very dark in the arena) when Rosa comes down through it from above and he shrieks with a high pitched, "Ahhhhhhhh!" which is followed by her eliminating him, but since Charles scream was so high pitched and loud Terry came over and got Rosa out before himself being eliminated by Gina. Not long after Jake eliminates Gina, which brings it down to Peralta vs Santiago for bragging rights and free lunch. They lock eyes soon after and Jake rolls to cover before Amy gets a chance to end it. Soon he gets eyes on her again but she notices and loses him. A bit later Jake is quietly walking through when he hears her behind him. "It's over Jake! I'm too close for you to get away!"

"Well ya know I could do this!" he exclaims trying to spin and get a shot at her quick. He has no chance and she immediately shoots him and ends the game. They meet up with the others and Gina and Rosa are celebrating with her. "Yesss girl I knew you could win!" Gina says as they all decide where to eat.

"Let's go bowling and get lunch there!" Jake says, quickly getting everyone else to agree as well. They head to the bowling alley and get a game ready while ordering food that guys pay for. They already made a bet about the bowling game before they even arrived too. Loser has to pay for ice cream afterwards, which everyone agreed to. Jake was telling them how good he is and how he's definitely gonna win when Amy says, "Well get ready to be disappointed!"

"Get ready to be disappointed, title of your sextape!" h fires back, which makes everyone including Amy laugh. They start the game and everyone is doing well for the most part. By halfway through everyone surprisingly had at least a strike, but Jake and Amy were neck and neck for the lead by the time they neared the end. Charles was dead last so he was already resigned to his fate. Gina was in second to last, followed by Terry in fourth, and Rosa in third as Jake and Amy took their last turns. Amy finished hers with nine pins getting knocked down on the final turn and lead. However, Jake came up and threw a strike followed by another eight pins for the win! Amy groans with a smile as they clean up and head out, all smiling (yes even Rosa) as they made their way to get ice cream. They sat outside eating the ice cream for a bit and then began heading back to campus. "Guys today was so much fun and I love hanging with you guys so much," Amy says.

"Agreed it was great!" Jake says.

"It was pretty dope," Gina says.

"I loved it! We should do stuff like this more often!" Charles adds.

"Ya it was pretty fun," Rosa says.

"Terry had a great time! I had so much fun with you guys!" Terry tells them. They continue heading back to the dorm, Terry and Gina split off to go back to their places, and as the rest of them get to the dorm they see Sophia waiting by Jake's room. They all said goodbye and Jake chatted with Sophia out of the room before walking off with her as Amy felt that little pang of jealousy again.
