Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be getting some shocking reveals and a new Hokage, but not one any of you might think. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
The morning after, the group had departed Tanzaku Gai, with a resigned Tsunade and Shizune in tow, making their way back to Konoha. During the trip though, Naruko could practically feel Shizune glaring a hole into her head.
Given how Naruko had used Tsunade's hemophobia against her, a fear she only developed after the deaths of her brother and fiancé, Shizune's uncle. It was understandable that Shizune was angry at Naruko, for how she rendered Tsunade nearly catatonic.
Normally, Naruko would have already killed anyone who glared at her like that, or tortured them into insanity, depending on her mood. The only reason she hasn't, is because the blonde Uzumaki was hoping Shizune would try attacking her, just so she claim she acted in self-defense.
'Hmhmhm, perhaps I'll even take her as a toy, after I make her submit.' Naruko thought, licking her lips, as she'd admit that Shizune was rather attractive, and would make a decent stress reliever.
Plus, Naruko couldn't deny the pleasure she'd get at Tsunade's expression at seeing her apprentice happily obeying her every command, like a good little puppy.
Currently, they were resting at a town the group had arrived at, while preparing to reach Konoha tomorrow. At the moment, Naruko was in the forest, working on mastering the Rasengan, with her holding said Jutsu in her hand at the moment.
"Hm, looks good, no sign of destabilization, perfectly round." Naruko muttered, looking her Rasengan over for any sign that it wasn't finished.
After a few moments, she nodded in satisfaction that the Rasengan wasn't showing any sign of failing. Now she just needed to test its power.
Walking up to a decent sized tree, Naruko pulled her arm back.
"Rasengan!" Naruko shouted, slamming the attack into the tree.
The effect was instantaneous, as the Rasengan drilled into the tree before with a crack, the tree snapped in half, before falling to the ground with a loud crash.
"Mmm, that'll definitely be fun to use on people. But I can't help but think it could be better." Naruko said while smirking, pleased at the destructive power behind the Rasengan, but also felt there was room for improvement.
Given if a regular sized Rasengan could do this much damage, how much would a bigger one do? There's also the fact that the Rasengan wasn't that stealthy, but she felt that weakness can be negated as she trains her speed and agility. Plus, even if her target could have the time to dodge the Rasengan, or defend against it, she can always freeze them in place. But what if she found a way to throw the Rasengan, or even find a way to make it invisible, only to reappear just at it hits the target, if not both? Finally, would it be possible to add her Elemental Affinities to the Rasengan, making it that much deadlier?
Naruko also felt that she could create her own version of the Rasengan but using only the first two steps in reverse. Creating an orb of pure Chakra, with a rotating orbital ring containing it, making for a possibly more destructive Jutsu.
'I'll have to look into these ideas when I have the time. But for now, I suppose I should deal with my little spy.' Naruko thought, while looking over her shoulder.
"Are you just going to stand there, hiding, or are you going to come out? Though do be warned, if you continue hiding, I will consider you an enemy and deal with you as such." Naruko said, smiling wickedly as she unsealed Samehada, having kept the sentient blade sealed for the time being, as to not draw attention.
Not a moment later, Shizune stepped from behind a tree, glaring at Naruko, with the Uzumaki smirking at her appearance.
"And so the apprentice finally makes her move. Tell me, are you hear to avenge your mistress? If so, you should know that Samehada hasn't had a meal, since its former owner, and right now, its hungry." Naruko said, petting her sword, with Samehada gurgling in response, eager to devour more Chakra.
"What you did to Tsunade-sama was wrong and cruel. If you know who she is and about her fear, you'd know it was from having to bury her brother and watching her fiancé, my uncle, die in front of her. I ask that you please apologize to her for your actions." Shizune said, wanting to try a peaceful route to get Naruko to apologize before she uses less kind methods.
"Yes, the perverted toad made it very clear what happened to the hag. Yes, so very sad, her brother and lover both died during wartimes, just as I'm sure thousands of others died, as well. Now you see, I'm all for respecting and mourning the dead. I just don't have any empathy for anyone pathetic enough to run away from their problems, when there's people who have lost just as much, if not more, than they have. And Tsunade just so happens to be one of those people." Naruko taunted with a smirk, with Shizune's anger rising at her words, as the woman immediately pulling up her right sleeve showing her wrist-mounted Senbon launcher loaded with poisoned Senbon, which Shizune then fired at Naruko.
Naruko's smirk widened, as she deflected the Senbon with Samehada, before she charged Shizune at highspeed, and swung her sword. Shizune gasped as she suddenly felt most of her Chakra be ripped away from her, before finding her legs kicked out from under her.
Before Shizune could attempt to get up, her wrists and ankles were wrapped in ice pinning them to the ground. Her eyes then widened, when Naruko straddled her stomach, smiling wickedly down at her.
"By the way, I also know about you Shizune, about why you're with Tsunade, having left with her after your uncle's death. And honestly, I pity you, not for losing your uncle, since I doubt you want to be pitied for that. But that you're allowing yourself to waste your life." Said Naruko, confusing and angering Shizune.
"What're you talking about?! How am I wasting my life?" Shizune demanded.
"Isn't obvious? Tell me where are we right now?" Naruko asked, while lowering her face closer to Shizune's.
"We're at-"
"And I don't mean our literal location, I mean our situation, our positions? What exactly have you gained by traveling with Tsunade for over a decade? What have you accomplished?" Naruko questioned.
"I've learned everything Tsunade-sama knows about Medical Ninjutsu, can identify almost every known poison in the world and how to make an antidote for each one, I'm a skilled Fuinjutsu practitioner, and I'm capable of performing the Shadow Clone Jutsu to create thirty six clones." Shizune listed, proud of everything she knew and learn under Tsunade.
"Impressive, you must have high Chakra Reserves to create that many clones, and perfect Chakra Control as well. But what about the Slug Contract, has Tsunade allowed you to sign that yet?" Naruko asked, while smirking.
"No but-"
"What about the Strength of a Hundred Seal, has she taught you that?" Asked Naruko.
"I don't have the Chakra Control required for the Strength of a Hundred Seal." Shizune said.
"That's not an answer, did Tsunade even try to help you get the control needed to learn it? Or did she just drag you along, as she drank and gambled herself to the grave?" Naruko asked, smirking when Shizune didn't respond and simply looked away.
"And that's my point? Everything you just listed, you could have learned all of it, and more, back in Konoha. Instead here you are being "taught" by Tsunade, when really you're just her personal servant." Said Naruko, with Shizune glaring at her angrily in response.
"No I'm not! I care about Tsunade-sama, and she cares about me! After everyone she's lost, I won't leave her alone!" Shizune retorted, with Naruko's smirk only widening at her words.
"And how many times has she thanked you for your kindness? How many times did you have to drag her out of a bar, after drinking herself into unconsciousness? How many times did you have to immediately pack up and leave so she could run from debt collectors? How much have you had to sacrifice, just to make her happy?" Naruko asked, leaning closer to Shizune's face, with the woman shivering as Naruko dragged her finger down her cheek and neck.
"I-I h-have to ta-take care of Ts-Tsunade-sama." Shizune stuttered, while trying to look away from Naruko, only for the Uzumaki to gently bring her eyes back to her own.
"And who takes care of you, Shizune? Haven't you ever desired your own happiness, to enjoy your own life, rather than constantly taking care of a grown woman who can't take care of herself? Don't you want to feel…loved?" Naruko whispered seductively in Shizune's ear, with the woman blushing at feeling Naruko's cold breath, before letting out a moan as Naruko dragged her finger across her collarbone.
"I-I am-am h-h-ha-happy." Stuttered Shizune, but Naruko clearly didn't believe her words, and even Shizune was starting to doubt them herself.
"Are you really? Be honest Shizune, I promise it'll be a secret between us. Do you want to have someone to take care of you for once?" Naruko asked, smiling at Shizune, while cupping the woman's cheek.
"…Y-yes." Shizune answered.
"Do you want someone to love you?" Asked Naruko, while leaning in closer, with Shizune shivering as the blonde's lips grazed her own.
"Yes." Whispered Shizune.
"Do you want me to take care of you?" Naruko said, looking at Shizune with half-lidded eyes, while she started rocking her hips against Shizune's.
"Yes." Shizune repeated, while panting lightly.
"Then enjoy Shizune~" Naruko purred, before finally pressing her lips against Shizune's.
Shizune moaned into the kiss, with them only growing louder, when Naruko forced her tongue into her mouth.
'Hmhmhmhm, this going to be fun.' Naruko thought, planning to take her time, until Shizune was begging for release.
However, when Naruko reached down to undo Shizune's kimono, the woman's eyes snapped open as she remembered just where she was, and what was happening.
'NO!' Shizune mentally screamed, breaking the kiss, before immediately headbutting Naruko hard enough to knock her off.
"No! I won't submit to you!" Shizune shouted, as she glared at Naruko, while blinking a few times, when her eyes started stinging for some reason.
Rather than be angry, Naruko giggled wickedly.
"Kukukuku, your flushed, panting face, and moans, beg to differ." Naruko said, sitting up with a lustful grin, now even more determined to take Shizune, loving strong willed women.
It made it that much more fun, when she had them begging underneath her, or on their knees.
Getting up, Naruko went over to Shizune to continue their activities, only to stop short, as she looked at Shizune in surprise at what she saw.
"Well, don't I just keep finding diamonds in a coal mine." Naruko said, smirking, while Shizune looked at her in confusion.
"Wh-what're you-" Shizune was cutoff, when Naruko brought her fist down on her face, knocking the woman out.
"It seems we have to put our fun on hold, for now." Said Naruko, breaking the restraints, and throwing Shizune over her shoulder, before making her way back to the hotel rooms.
*With Jiraiya and Tsunade*
Meanwhile, Jiraiya and Tsunade sat in a bar, drinking in silence, both mentally preparing themselves for what to expect, when they return to Konoha. Tsunade, personally, didn't want to return to that damn village, but she knew if she didn't, then Danzō would become Hokage, and that warhawk would make sure she was either forced back, or be killed on sight.
While Jiraiya was in a somber mood, knowing that even with Tsunade as Hokage, they'd still be going to war with Suna, something he'd hoped to prevent. But now, he knew it was an inevitability, and could only hope to minimize the damage. The only positive was that Danzō wasn't becoming Hokage.
"What can you tell me about the rest of those brats? Is there anyway they'd be able to help prevent an attack on Suna?" Tsunade asked, figuring she might as well take the chance to learn more about her soon-to-be subordinates, and to hear their thoughts on attacking Suna, if she could somehow stop it by getting the newest generation on her side.
Only for Jiraiya to shake his head, as he sipped his Sake.
"No, I've already talked with them, and they're all for attacking Suna, like Naruko. Sasuke wants to attack Suna so he could get some real combat experience in wartimes and to get stronger. Sakura is only for the attack, because she knows that after the invasion, war is an inevitability, with it being either us attacking first, or are getting attacked again. As for Kin, Karin and Tayuya, they're simply pragmatic, knowing the only way to show the other villages we aren't to be messed with, is by using force." Jiraiya answered, with Tsunade sighing as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Just great. And what about the other one?" Tsunade asked, with Jiraiya snorting, knowing who she was talking about.
"Naruko? She doesn't have a reason, besides just wanting to attack." Replied Jiraiya, knowing that even if Naruko had brought up good reasons during the Council Meeting, she didn't really care why they attacked Suna, just that they did.
It saddened him that his old student's daughter actually wanted to start a war, rather than trying to make peace.
"So, there's nothing we can do? We're actually going to attack Suna?" Tsunade asked, realizing the chances of preventing that from happening were slim to none.
"The only thing left, is to try and minimize the damage, while hoping that none of the other villages get paranoid afterwards. The last thing we need is two Ninja Villages being attacked and conquered." Stated Jiraiya.
Hearing this, Tsunade sighed, before waving the bartender over, to bring them more Sake.
*Hotel Room*
Naruko entered her groups hotel room, seeing her teammates, Kin and her cousins lounging around. Only for all of them to shoot up, and look at her warily, upon seeing she was carrying an unconscious Shizune.
"Uh, Naruko, why do you have Tsunade-sama's apprentice with you?" Sakura asked nervously, hoping her teammate didn't kidnap Shizune for who knows what reason.
"She attacked me, and I retaliated. I then discovered a rather interesting fact about dear Shizune here, one I'm sure Kin and Sasuke would be interested in knowing." Naruko said, with the two Uchiha looking at her in confusion of what they'd be interested about.
"What exactly?" Questioned Kin, Naruko simply motioning the two to follow her to her room.
Curious and confused by what Naruko was talking about, the two Uchiha followed Naruko into her room.
Once inside, they watched as Naruko laid Shizune down on her bed, before she started searching for something.
"Tell me, what do you two know about Fuinjutsu?" Naruko suddenly asked, which only confused them further.
"Not much, I just know how to make basic Storage Seals." Answered Kin, having never real been interested in Fuinjutsu, outside of the basics.
"I know how to make Storage Seals and can identify plenty of different seals." Sasuke said, remembering how his mother used to tell him about an old friend of hers that was a Fuinjutsu and Kenjutsu Master, along with telling him everything she learned about Fuinjutsu from them.
"Hm, and what about Memory Seals? Do you know what those do?" Questioned Naruko rhetorically, turning Shizune's head to look at her neck, and spoke again, before they could respond.
"Memory Seals, as the name suggests, are used to seal away certain memories. Normally they're used on sleeper agents, sent to infiltrate other villages and discover their secrets, or on those who have witnessed something so traumatic, that it could make them a danger to themselves and others. However, they're also used as a means to control someone, whether it's sealing away memories that the person who placed the seal doesn't want the victim to remember or make them forget something entirely." Naruko explained, before finding what she was looking for.
"Okay, what exactly does this have to do with us? And why you kidnapped Tsunade's apprentice?" Sasuke questioned, wanting to just get a straight answer already, with Naruko turning to look at them, while smirking.
"Is it really kidnapping, if the person was already kidnapped?" Asked Naruko, stepping away to let the two Uchiha see a seal on the back of Shizune's neck.
"A Memory Seal?" Kin guessed.
"Why would she have a Memory Seal on her? Who would even put it on her?" Asked Sasuke.
"Well, there's only one logical person that'd have the knowledge, and has been around Shizune the most in recent years. The only question, why exactly did the old hag put a Memory Seal on her apprentice, and what exactly she made Shizune forget? Let's find out, shall we." Naruko said, eager for the chance to turn Shizune against Tsunade, even better if this ensures Tsunade doesn't become Hokage, as well.
While the war against Suna is a sure thing at this point, Naruko also didn't want to deal with the headache of Tsunade getting in the way of her fun and plans.
With that, Naruko went through the necessary handseals, before placing her hand on the Memory Seal, causing it to fade away. This resulted in Shizune shooting up with a gasp, while her eyes snapped open, with Sasuke and Kin being shocked, when they saw her eyes.
"I'm sure you can now see why I believed you'd both be interested." Naruko stated, as the two Uchiha looked at Shizune's eyes, eyes that had changed from their normal onyx color to a pair of fully matured Sharingan.
*Timeskip – One Day*
Walking through the gates, Naruko could barely contain her excitement of how things are going to turn out soon. Glancing at Shizune, Naruko had to praise the now revealed Uchiha for her incredible acting. Not once has she so much as shown a hint that the memory seal was removed, acting like the dutiful assistant she once was.
It'll make it all the more sweeter, when they reveal to the council just what kind of person Tsunade really is.
"Alright, let's go Tsunade, the council should be waiting by now." Jiraiya said, having sent a messenger toad ahead to inform the council that they'd be arriving soon.
"Come on Shizune. Let's get this over with." Muttered Tsunade.
"Of course Tsunade-sama." Shizune replied with a smile, that now had a vicious edge to it.
"All of you, return home." Said Naruko to her teammates and cousins.
Sasuke grunted in annoyance, having wanted to be present during the council meeting, for when Naruko's plan starts. But couldn't, since he didn't have a council seat, or have a legitimate reason for being present. Even Kin, who had only recently found out about her Uchiha heritage, was beyond pissed off, and wanted to see the Senju be taken down.
But they were content, knowing Tsunade will pay for what she's done, and have everything ripped away from her. They just wished they could see it personally when it happens.
The others had also been informed of what they learns, with them also being disgusted and angered, after hearing about Tsunade's actions.
With that, Naruko, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Shizune made their way to the Council Chambers, soon being escorted there by a team of Anbu. Once they arrived, they saw the rest of the council was already present, along with the Daimyō.
"Aaah, Tsunade, it's good to see that Jiraiya and Naruko succeeded in bringing you back." Said the Daimyō, with Tsunade bowing politely.
"It's an honor Daimyō-sama, to have been chosen to take up my grandfather and late sensei's position." Tsunade said, lying through her teeth, since she'd rather be anywhere, but here.
"Well then, since you have returned, let's not stand on ceremony, and begin working on your inauguration." Said the Daimyō, only for Naruko to step forward.
"Actually Daimyō-sama, before we begin, I believe that you should know of Tsunade's crimes, that I have recently discovered." Naruko said, catching the entire council's attention, while Jiraiya and Tsunade narrowed their eyes at her angrily, though the latter having some nervousness in her eyes.
"Oh? And what crimes has Tsunade committed Uzumaki?" Questioned Danzō, now intrigued to hear this.
"Kidnapping, Bloodline Theft, and illegal use of another clan's funds." Naruko listed, with Jiraiya roughly grabbing her shoulder and glared at her.
"Kid, what the hell are you doing?!" Jiraiya hissed lowly, angry that Naruko was now making up lies about Tsunade, not seeing his teammate's panicked expression.
"Well, these are indeed serious crimes. I do hope you have proof of them." The Daimyō warned, since such accusations couldn't be made lightly.
"Of course. I have the kidnapped victim, right here." Said Naruko, motioning to Shizune, who stepped forward, with Tsunade now paling, realizing what's happened.
"Greeting Honorable Council. I am Shizune Kato Uchiha." Shizune said, activating her Sharingan, shocking the entire council at their being yet another Uchiha alive.
"Shizune, let me expl-" Tsunade tried speaking, before she was restrained by Anbu, the Anbu Commander having signaled the hidden Anbu to be ready to restrain someone, depending on how this went.
"Explain." The Daimyō commanded, now seeing there was some proof to Naruko's accusations, and wanted to hear the full story.
"Hai Daimyō-sama. As I'm sure most of you are aware, my uncle, Dan Kato, and Tsunade were very close. But when my uncle died, Tsunade retired from the Shinobi life and left, with me accompanying her as her apprentice and attendant. However what most are not aware of was, that my uncle's younger sister, my mother, had married an Uchiha. Which resulted in my birth, and when they died, my uncle had taken me in. But when Uncle Dan died as well, I chose to go with Tsunade, wanting to take care of her, to honor my uncle. Though the Uchiha Clan Head and Elders at the time were against this, not wanting a member of their clan out traveling alone, especially with someone from their rival clan. But I vouched for Tsunade, along with saying how I could learn from her and help her through the tragedies she's suffered. I was able to convince my relatives to let me go, unfortunately, it wasn't long until I learned that Tsunade really wasn't as trustworthy, as I believed." Shizune explained, taking a breath, while working to control her emotions, before continuing.
"It wasn't long after we departed, that Tsunade had begun asking me to use the funds from the Uchiha Clan, under the belief they were to purchase supplies for us on our travels. Being that I was still a child at the time, and believing I could trust her, I allowed Tsunade access to the Uchiha Clan's Funds, while telling her that she could only take a certain amount. However as time passed, I noticed that Tsunade was going out more and more, while telling me it was to get more supplies, but I began getting suspicious of this. So, one time I followed Tsunade when she said she was going to get more money and then go shopping, with me following her, once she left. And while I did see her go to the bank to take more money out from the Uchiha Funds, I saw she took out much more than I said was allowed. This did anger me at her betraying my trust in such a way, but I held onto the belief that she was simply buying more supplies than normal. Unfortunately, I was proven wrong, as the next stop Tsunade went to, was a casino where I saw her lose almost every single Ryo she had taken, before using the rest to purchase Sake. This is when I realized that all the time, she's been taking money from the Uchiha Clan, not to buy supplies, but gamble and drink." Said Shizune, glaring at Tsunade as she spoke, before turning back to the council, who were all listening with rapt attention.
"Afterwards, I returned to the hotel we were staying at, at the time, and waited for her to return. When she did, I confronted her about what she was really using my clans funds for, when Tsunade tried lying to me, I revealed that I had followed her and saw the truth. Tsunade then tried convincing me that it was to help her "heal from her wounds" from the deaths of her brother and my uncle, even though I was also mourning for the death of not just my uncle, but also my parents', as well. I told Tsunade that I planned to return to Konoha and reveal to the Uchiha clan what she has done, along with including my own part, even if it was unknowing. But before I could pack up my belongings and leave, Tsunade knocked me out before placing a Memory Seal on me, one that sealed away my memories of not only what she's done, but also the fact that I was an Uchiha. It was only thanks to Naruko, who helped me reawaken my Sharingan and removed the Memory Seal, that I was able to remember everything." Shizune concluded.
Once she finished, the council looked at Tsunade with varying degrees of disgust and anger, aside from Danzō, who was pleased by this development, as it meant he was now the last candidate left to become Hokage.
Jiraiya, though, looked at Tsunade with disbelief, hurt, and betrayal written across his face.
"Tsunade, did you really do that?" Jiraiya asked, not wanting to believe his teammate was capable of something like that.
He expected those actions from Orochimaru, not Tsunade.
"Of course not! That brat is trying to frame me and is using Shizune to do it!" Tsunade shouted, while struggling against the Anbu.
"If you're innocent, then why are you trying to escape?" Asked a smirking Naruko, with Tsunade glaring at her in hatred.
"I should have turned your head into paste, you little bitch!" Shouted Tsunade, as her struggles increased further, to attack Naruko, only freezing when the Anbu placed their swords at her throat, chest, and lower spine, ready to incapacitate or kill, if necessary.
"Enough!" The Daimyō said, while standing up and giving Tsunade a warning look.
"Tsunade Senju, it is clear from your own actions that these charges are true. You are guilty of not only kidnapping, Bloodline Theft, illegal use of another clans funds, but also attempting to attack a fellow Konoha Ninja, and a council member. As of this moment you are hereby arrested and stripped of your access to the Senju Clan Compound, the Senju Clan and Uzumaki Clan funds, along with the Slug Contract. Shizune, as you are the main victim behind Tsunade's actions, you may be granted the Slug Contract. While Naruko, as of this moment, you and your cousins, Karin and Tayuya, are now the full owners of the Senju Compound, as well as have complete access to the Senju Clan and Uzumaki Clan funds." Said the Daimyō.
"Thank you Daimyō-sama." Naruko and Shizune said, pleased at this arrangement, with Shizune being pleased that Tsunade was having everything taken away from her.
Though she also didn't really want the Slug Contract, given its connection to Tsunade, Shizune wouldn't hold a grudge against Katsuyu for Tsunade's actions.
"Anbu take Tsunade away." The Daimyō commanded.
"Daimyō-sama, if I may. While Tsunade's crimes are indeed heinous and deserve punishment. She is still one of our strongest Ninja and the best Medical Ninja in the world. And as it seems we will soon be attacking Suna, we need all the Ninja we can muster. I recommend we have Tsunade on the frontlines to help heal the injured, while making sure she is being constantly monitored by Anbu, so as to make sure she doesn't try escaping." Homura said, knowing that while what Tsunade did deserved imprisonment, they also couldn't risk losing their best Medic Ninja now of all times.
"Yes, that is true. Very well, Tsunade shall be monitored by Anbu from this point, onward, until the conflict with Suna has ended. Anbu, please escort Tsunade to the hospital to begin training the newest batch of Medical Ninja." Said the Daimyō, with the Anbu nodding, before vanishing with Tsunade in a Shunshin.
Once she was gone, the Daimyō sighed, before sitting back down.
"Well, with recent revelations, it seems we are left with one candidate to become Hokage." Said the Daimyō, with Danzō mentally smirking, as at last, the title he coveted for so long was within his reach, only for his smirk to vanish, when Shikaku stood up.
"Actually Daimyō-sama, I have found another candidate for the Godaime Hokage, Hiashi Hyūga." Shikaku said, having worked to find another Hokage candidate, in case Tsunade didn't work out, and make sure Danzō didn't become Hokage.
"The Hyūga Clan Head?" The Daimyō asked, with Shikaku nodding in confirmation.
"That's correct. Hiashi isn't only a power Ninja, being a master of both his clan's Byakugan and Gentle Fist fighting style, but also a decorated commander from the Third Ninja War. Having even been a candidate to become the Yondaime Hokage, alongside Fugaku Uchiha, Minato Namikaze and Orochimaru, with Minato having ultimately received the title. Hiashi also has experience in politics, both diplomatic and militant, from his time as a Clan Head, along with still being in his prime. There would be no one better to become the Godaime Hokage." Shikaku explained, knowing Hiashi was a much better option than Danzō.
Plus, Shikaku was hoping that Hiashi would be able to prevent a war with Suna, given what happened with Kumo years ago, and then his daughter almost being kidnapped again, during the invasion. It was his hope Hiashi that would want to avoid any further conflict.
"Yes, all this is true. Yes, very well, it has been decided, Hiashi Hyūga shall become the Godaime Hokage." The Daimyō declared.
This made Jiraiya sigh in relief, knowing with Hiashi as Hokage, the chances of going to war with Suna have fallen slightly, and there was now a chance to avoid it.
But when he looked at Naruko and saw how she was still smirking, Jiraiya couldn't help the sinking feeling in his gut that she knew something he didn't.
*Suna*
Meanwhile, the Suna Council was hard at work increasing the villages defenses, knowing it was only a matter of time, until Konoha's forces came knocking at their doors.
It also hadn't been long ago, that they learn Maki had deserted the village and had taken the Scroll of Seals, as well. Given when they checked, and found it was missing, it was obvious she took it. It was also obvious she was going to Konoha, likely having gone rogue from somehow finding out the truth about Pakura. Meaning it was now inevitable that war was coming, and they'd do everything they could to be ready.
Just then, their attention went to the doors, when a Suna Ninja walked in.
"Honorable Council, a force of Oto Ninja has been spotted just outside the walls. Their leader has requested a meeting." Said the Ninja, bowing, while Baki narrowed his eyes angrily at hearing this, knowing Oto was at fault for this, when they first came to them with that damn invasion plan.
"Take me to them." Baki ordered.
Nodding, the Ninja took Baki outside, to where the Oto Ninja were waiting for them, with Guren standing at the front with her remaining forces.
"You Oto Ninja have a lot of nerve coming here." Baki said, while glaring at them.
"Oh relax, we didn't come here to fight. We came with the offer of an alliance." Said Guren, with Baki scoffing at her words.
"An alliance?! The last time we allied with you, your leader killed our Kazekage, three of our strongest Ninja defected, and most of our forces were either killed or imprisoned!" Said Baki.
"And it cost us our leader, as well! Look, we don't like each other or trust each other, that's fine, we don't have to, to be allies. This is about survival, Konoha will be after all of us for the invasion, so our best bet to survive is to join forces. By working together, we all have a better chance of surviving. So, you can accept my generous offer and probably survive, or don't, and definitely die." Said Guren, both of them glaring at each other.
"And what exactly do you want in return for this "generous offer"?" Baki said, doubting this was just about surviving Konoha's coming attacks.
"Revenge against the one who screwed up the Konoha Crush, and is responsible for Orochimaru's death, Naruko Uzumaki." Guren said, scowling at the name, while swearing she'll make that ice bitch suffer every form of pain, torture, and humiliation, before cutting her head off and mounting it for all to see for what she did to Orochimaru.
Though given Guren was blinded by her rage and desire for revenge, she didn't realize just how utterly outmatched they'd all be against just Naruko, herself. But they'll learn and when they do, it will be far too late.
*Timeskip – Three Days*
*Konoha*
The entire village was gathered outside the Hokage Tower, many of the villagers talking amongst themselves, wondering why this assembly was called. Most believed it either had to do with a new Hokage being named, or about the situation with Suna.
Amongst the crowd were the Rookies including Tayuya, Karin, and Kin. Naruko was absent, given she was on top of the Tower, along with the other council members, given the nature of the assembly.
Finally, the Daimyō stepped forward and cleared his throat, before addressing the entire village.
"Several days ago, Konoha suffered a great loss when the Sandaime Hokage, gave his life to slay the rogue Sannin, Orochimaru, who organized an invasion with his own village, Otogakure, with the help of our own allies, Sunagakure. Now after many days, the council and I have finally chosen the one to become the next Hokage! May I present, Hiashi Hyūga, the Godaime Hokage!" the Daimyō declared, stepping aside, letting Hiashi walk forward, now wearing a cloak with "Godaime Hokage" written vertically on the back, with the crowd cheering at seeing the new Hokage, with the Hyūga's feeling especially proud that one of their own was now Hokage, even the Branch Members felt pride.
All except one.
Neji couldn't keep the scowl off his face, as he saw Hiashi waving and nodding to the crowd. He hated this, hated how the Main Branch was getting even more prestige, that one of them was now the damn Hokage!
'Hasn't fate already favored them enough?! What more could they possibly gain?!' Neji thought.
Soon Hiashi raised his hand, silencing the cheers, before speaking.
"I thank you all, and swear I will do everything in my power to defend Konoha and all its people, as Hokage. But before this, I believe I must mention the grave news. As Daimyō-sama said, Otogakure and Sunagakure collaborated together in an effort to destroy Konoha, succeeding in killing the Sandaime, and such actions will not be forgiven! I swear, that justice shall be received for the deaths and destruction Suna and Oto unleashed! As of this moment, Konoha is at war with Suna and Oto!" Hiashi declared, much Jiraiya and Shikaku's shock and horror, while Naruko smirked, pleased with this
Though Hiashi's reasons for going to war with Suna and Oto, were more pragmatic than Danzō's desire to take control of them, or Naruko's desire to simply cause chaos and destruction. He knew it was simply the most realistic solution, along with how his eldest daughter was almost kidnapped during the invasion, if not for the Kumo Ambassador's assistance, and his nephew's screw up. Leading to Kumo getting exactly what they wanted, their own Hyūga Clan, rendering his brother's sacrifice essentially meaningless. And the reason this happened in the first place, was because of Suna and Oto's attack.
So, Hiashi figured he might as well take the chance to get even with them both, and if both villages go down in the process, then so be it.
Plus, just before the inauguration, Maki had arrived at the village and revealed everything she knew about Suna, including the truth behind Pakura's death. Along with handing over Suna's Scroll of Seals as a show of good faith and an incentive to help her avenge Pakura's death.
After all, if even their own Ninja weren't safe from betrayal, then making peace with Suna wasn't a good idea. Meaning the only option left, was to attack.
*Later*
After the assembly ended, Hiashi had gone to his new office, before summoning Team Seven and Kabuto Yakushi.
"After much consideration and discussion, it has been decided that you four, both for your performance in the Chūnin Exams and assistance during the invasion, shall be promoted to Chūnin. Congratulations." Hiashi said, handing each of them a Chūnin Flak Jacket.
"Thank you, Hokage-sama." Said the newly minted Chūnin.
"You're all dismissed to return home and prepare for the coming days. Though Chūnin Uzumaki, stay for a moment, as I have a private matter to discuss with you." Hiashi said, with Kabuto, Sasuke, and Sakura leaving, while Naruko stayed, knowing what he wanted to talk about, but had to play ignorant.
"What did you wish to discuss Hokage-sama?" Naruko asked, with Hiashi pulling out a scroll and tossing it to her.
"The Sandaime left clear instructions to his successor, that upon you becoming Chūnin, you were to be given that. It will tell you your heritage and contains everything your parents left for you." Said Hiashi, much to Naruko's "surprise".
"My parents?" Naruko said, opening the scroll finding letters from her parents, along with Storage Seals locked with Blood Seals and Security Seals that only she could open.
Reading the letters Naruko was "shocked" to learned just who her parents were, along with "outraged" that it was kept from her.
"For years I asked the Sandaime who my parents were and everytime he lied to my face! Even telling me once that it wouldn't matter, since it wouldn't bring back the dead! Why didn't he tell me from the beginning?!" Naruko demanded.
"I do not understand the Sandaime's exact reasonings, but I do understand why he kept it. Both your parents had many enemies, both inside and outside the village, if it was discovered they had a daughter, they wouldn't stop until you were dead, under their control, or worse. Will this affect your duties as a Ninja?" Hiashi said with narrow eyes, wanting to know if this knowledge would make Naruko a flight risk.
Taking a few moments to "calm down", Naruko took a deep breath.
"You don't have to worry about me going rogue or being angry Hokage-sama. While I am upset this was kept from me, I do know if it was discovered who my parents were, I likely wouldn't be alive, right now. Besides how can I be angry? I'm the daughter of the Yellow Flash and Red Death." Naruko said, while smirking.
She wasn't really angry, having already let go of her anger during the Month Break. Besides, it'd be rather pointless to be angry at a dead man, anyway.
"Very well, then you may go as well, to prepare." Said Hiashi, planning to meet with his commanders to discuss the attack on Suna and Oto.
"Actually Hokage-sama, I did have one request, I wish to form an elite team, made up of members of my choosing." Naruko said, with Hiashi raising a brow at her request.
"And what exactly would this elite team do?" Questioned Hiashi, while crossing his arms.
"Assassination, extermination, bodyguards, infiltration, any and all missions, along with curbing any criminal activity in our jurisdiction with extreme prejudice. We would take orders directly from the Hokage, and no one else." Said Naruko knowing if her team is approved, then they would be the ones on the frontline of any attacks, and make sure all enemies are eliminated.
Hiashi thought over her request, and all that it entailed.
"Does this team have a name?" Hiashi asked, with Naruko smirking, before she responded.
"Feuerjaegers."
So, what did you think, good. Yep Naruko was attacked by Shizune before attempting to seduce her, nearly succeeding until Shizune snapped back to her senses, only to get a rather shocking reveal later, Shizune has the Sharingan! We then go straight to Konoha, where we get the full story of why Shizune has the Sharingan and why she had a Memory Seal, none of which paints Tsunade in a positive light, with next actions not helping her case. This leads to Danzō almost becoming Hokage, only for Shikaku to come forward with another candidate, Hiashi Hyūga, with Hiashi instead becoming the Godaime Hokage and also being for the idea of attacking Suna. We then get a look into Suna and see they have made an alliance with Guren and her remaining Oto forces, in exchange for revenge against Naruko. Finally we see Team Seven and Kabuto have become Chūnin and Naruko "learns" of her heritage before asking permission to create her reborn Jaegers, the Feuerjaegers (Fire Hunters). So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
Storm out
