"Hmmm," Amy hummed as she thought about it,"Sure!"

Jake's smile lit up the room immediately and Amy couldn't help but smile just as brightly as he wrapped her in a hug. They made plans for Friday night, which is the following day, and as she left the room Amy messaged Gina and Rosa who were ecstatic. Everyone, including Holt, noticed the mood change right away after both were in class early like usual again and they both were back to having meals with everyone.

Friday evening arrived and Amy was in her room with Rosa and Gina, who were helping her get ready. They were doing her makeup and hair, which was done so that it came down on the right side of her head and was curled from about halfway down to the ends (*Author's note: it's basically her hair in "The Party" while at Holt's house*). She wore a red sleeveless dress that Gina picked out for her. "Damn girl you look good! We did such a great job with you." Gina says.

"You look great Amy," Rosa says with a rare smile.

"Thank you guys for all your help! You guys are the best!" Amy says with a huge smile.

"Ya we know we are girl. Now go have a great date!" Gina says as Amy leaves, "So wanna get some drinks?" she asks Rosa who nods and they head out.

Amy meets up with Jake who is immediately wide eyed and entranced by her appearance. He is wearing a blue button up shirt and tie along with dress shoes and black dress pants. "You look amazing Ames," he says, finally breaking out of his stupor from the last thirty seconds. She blushes as she sits down with him in the booth and says,"Thank you Jake. You look really great too."

They eat and talk for a bit, Jake makes Amy laugh a lot, which makes him laugh even more because her laugh is just so perfect and infectious. He smiles constantly and she does as well because she can't help but smile when she sees him smiling and it just makes her happy. Soon they finish dinner and go to a movie, a rom-com because Jake let Amy choose the movie. They sit together in the theater, hands tightly wound with each other as they laid against one another watching the movie. As the movie began approaching the end Amy looked over at Jake during a romantic scene and just was so happy to be with this amazing, funny, kind, and handsome guy finally. She slid her hand up to cup his face and turned his face towards her. The love and joy in both their eyes was clear to the other as Amy leaned in and kissed him. Jake's surprised for a second before he returns the kiss just as passionately. He can't believe it, he's finally on date with Amy Santiago and he is getting to kiss her beautiful lips finally. They break apart after a bit, catching their breath as they look at each other. The movie ends and they head back to campus. Amy and Jake stand outside their doors talking, "I'm super glad we finally did this. Tonight was perfect," Amy tells Jake, very cheerfully.

"Me too! It was incredible and I can't wait to spend more time with you. Do you wanna hang out in one of our rooms for a bit tomorrow?," Jake replies, asking nervously.

She plants a kiss on his cheek and says,"I'd loved too. Goodnight Jake."

"Goodnight Ames," he tells her before pulling her into a deep kiss that she quickly returns before they head into their rooms to quickly get changed and enjoy thinking of the past few hours together. They both were thinking of how although it took much longer than it should have, they were so happy being with each other finally.

The next morning Gina and Rosa were asking her how it went and for details, although Amy noticed Rosa hadn't been back at all since she had left for her date with Jake yesterday and her and Gina were seemingly standing closer to each other than usual she thought to herself, which meant Gina was asking while Rosa was just standing silently. Amy told them and even Rosa got excited and celebrated a bit with the two of them. Everyone went to get lunch together a bit later and Jake and Amy told Terry and Charles that they are together now, which made Charles squeal with excitement as he hugged them both and Terry said,"I'm so happy for you two! Terry loves love!"

A bit later Jake and Amy were laying in her bed watching a movie while Jake laid his head in her lap and she stroked and played with his hair, which they both enjoyed. A bit later when they are on another movie she notices Jake fell asleep in her lap and it makes her heart burst with happiness. She keeps stroking his hair and running her hands through it until she falls asleep.

The next morning Jake wakes up and after realizing where he is he also realizes that Amy is his new favorite pillow. She's soft and comfortable, he thinks with a chuckle. And he loves having her hold him and just play with his hair and make him feel so loved and important. She's so amazing and perfect that even if he was good at talking about emotions and feelings he still wouldn't be able to describe to her how incredible she is and how much she means to him. He just lays there, enjoying being with her until she wakes up, they kiss, and they head to breakfast together after getting changed (Jake went back to his room for a second to do so).

They head down to get breakfast and meet up with the squad. After everyone talks for a bit Gina gets up and tells everyone she and Rosa have an announcement to tell the four of them. Gina looks confident and Rosa looks surprisingly nervous, which is rare if almost never for her. The rest of the squad wonders what it's all about as Gina gets ready to speak.
