AN: Final chapter, hopefully I won't feel the need to spam post a story for a while until I'm done with Gypsies Misfortune which will probably have another 2 or 3 chapters. Happy reading, guinea pigs. Of course the standard disclaimer applies.

Chapter 17

Albus opened his eyes, he felt like he was floating; like he was free of all his burdens. His white hair and beard where shorter than the students had seen it and slightly darker, he was younger if the lack of wrinkles on the back of his hands was an indication. He blinked and turned to see the four angels stood behind him. Lucifer looked like the devil he was, basically all of him was burnt to a crisp, only his eyes held their usual hellfire look. Amendiel was in his grey angelic robes, Azrael in her maroon almost black ones. They all had their wings out as they had in the hall, Severus with his mismatched wings also had mismatched robes, like he was deliberately wearing two different suits at once; the bottom half black in line with Lucifer's suit and the top a white version of Amendiel's robes.

"What is this place?"

"For you Albus, it is the judgement place. It varies on each person. Just like in hell they chose their own point of judgement. Most of your life has revolved around the school, if I were a betting man, I would have assumed that the great hall or perhaps your office would have appeared. But apparently not, the title you held as Chief Warlock of the Wizengamont clearly holds a greater place in your soul. As such this is a courtroom."

"But what about a hearing?"

"Not how this works Albus, not in the way you mean it at any rate. This courtroom is not for hearings nor appeals, this courtroom is for sentences. Your soul has already been judged; it is a heavier soul than most which has granted you a slightly lighter eternity."

"Why are they not speaking?" Albus referred to Lucifer, Amendiel and Azrael.

"Because for this they do not need to. They have already had their turn. Since you are talking, it is yours, consider it a curtesy if nothing else."

"What is my sentence then? I take it I am going to hell?"

"You have that part correct at least. I am glad, this could be awkward otherwise. The sentence is in two parts, stage one is. To see your life through the eyes of those who have been most affected by it, good and bad. There is no pausing, and if by the end of it you cannot see any negative impacts then you do it again and again and again, until you understand how you could have done better. Is that understood?" Albus nodded. "Excellent. Once your reflection is over then the real punishment begins; you get to live the lives of the ones yours has most damaged. Unfortunately, that will include my childhood, and Mr Potter's life among others. Does this make sense to you Albus?"

"Yes, it seems fair."

"I am The Impartial Albus. It is my title for just this reason. Trust me, Amendiel wanted to smite you. This is an improvement let me assure you. Have an educational afterlife, Albus." Severus vanished, leaving the once headmaster in the clutches of the other three still very much angry angels.
