For Naruto to call Jiraiya by his name means a lot. It's almost like when a parent calls their child by their full name.
"You're going to have to fill us in, to leave us in the dark would be sin," One of the Kumo ninja said while waving his arms around. Naruto could tell everyone else was annoyed by the rhyme, but he loved it! He thought it was awesome. 'Well that makes only three people,'
'Who's the third?' Nuibari looked away in shame, and Naruto and Kurama were rolling on the floor, 'YOU, like this?!'
'Well I don't see the issue. I think it's rather elegant that he is able to rhyme so much.'
Naruto was broken from his mind by a poke from Itachi, "wha? Oh yeah sorry I was thinking," Naruto paused. Now he actually did have to think of what to say, "There was a man in a mask, claiming to be Madara. We encountered him not too long ago. He's very dangerous and his intentions are unknown. That's all of the information we have."
Shisui continued, "We believe, no, we now know he might have some sort of link to the terrorist organization in the hidden rain, but other than that, we have no idea."
"Where are we?" The other Kumo ninja asked, breaking a long silence.
"We're in the land of tea. Me and Pervy Sage were looking for something here. You probably need to get home, ne?"
Darui and B introduced themselves and hopped on Naruto's, who was a rather large bird at the time, back. They arrived after a decent flight. "You oughta come help us explain," Darui spoke as he hopped off, "Sorry, but we still don't really have an idea what happened."
"That's not a problem," Itachi spoke, "I'll meet you there," and he disappeared.
The others walked, like normal people, and met up with Itachi. He had somehow befriended a bird and was holding it on his forearm. "Do the birds in your village do this often?" Itachi asked.
Darui just stared confused, "Sorry, he's weird," Shisui called out as he walked towards the raikage tower.
"So there's a man named Madara," the raikage was now talking with the group. He looked at the leaf shinobi who nodded, "but he isn't actually Madara?" The group nodded again, "And he can teleport people using his eyes?" He looked around again, getting more nods, "And you can do the same?" He pointed at Naruto, who, yet again, nodded, "How?"
"That's classified."
"I think it's important you tell us."
"It's classified. Besides, Buffkage-"
"What did you call me?"
Jiraiya stepped in, "You'll have to forgive him, Lord Raikage. He comes up with nicknames for everyone he respects. He calls me Pervy Sage," Jiraiya said proudly.
"Who said I respect you?" Jiraiya's head dropped, "I'm sorry for calling you buffkage, Lord Raikage. What is more important right now is the masked man claiming to be Madara. He could threaten the entire shinobi world." The Raikage's jaw dropped as he looked beyond Naruto.
"Did someone say my name?" Obito asked from behind them, "Well since we're gossiping," he phased through one of the raikage's punches, "a little birdie told me that Naruto Uzumaki possesses a rare dōjutsu, like my Sharingan," the Kumo ninja looked at the man, then back to Naruto.
"And rumor has it that you're Obito Uchiha." Although Naruto already knew it was Obito, he used this opportunity to use the fūinnome to glean any information, "Madara is using you, Obito," Naruto paused, "he's just going to make you use Rinne rebirth and then he's going to take the eyes for himself."
'Damn, this kid is good,' Obito thought. He grumbled something before throwing some type of seal at Naruto. The Obito that threw the seal, however, was behind Naruto and the rest, and was able to get a clear shot. Naruto fell to the ground and reached for the seal, but it was too late, 'That'll keep you from using Minato's jutsu.' Obito had placed a 'dimensional anchor' on Naruto. He would be unable to use any time/space ninjutsu, including hiraishin and, unbeknownst to Obito, even kamui. As quick as he'd arrived, Obito disappeared.
"What is this dōjutsu that man was talking about?" the raikage asked almost accusingly, squaring himself to the downed boy.
"That's classified," Shisui said as each of the leaf moved to stand in front of Naruto.
"You owe us one-ttebayo. If I hadn't have got your folks out from there, they would've starved to death in there," he paused, "Or worse. I think you can let it slide this time. We should get word out to the elemental nations."
"Why should I take orders from you?"
"It wasn't an order. I was just suggesting it-ttebayo." Naruto and the leaf ninja turned to leave, "I will tell the sand and mist, regardless of what you do."
Darui, B, and A were all standing in the same room, "Something's up with that kid shinobi. You know, his idea didn't seem that phony."
"ENOUGH B," A bellowed, "Now's not the time for that."
B frowned, "I understand why you're concerned, big bro, but I think that kid is right fo sho. To ignore this and not tell the other nations, that would make us dogs, dumb as Dalmatians. Besides, if the kid's speech was right, then we owe him for saving us from that blight, ya fool."
"B I SAID ENOUGH. Even if that Obito is a danger, it would only cause panic if we told the villages. We have to keep this a secret for now." Even Darui seemed apprehensive about this.
"But our silence could cost lives. The danger it brings is more than just knives."
A sighed, "I don't know how you can be rapping during all of this. I'm giving the order to keep this a secret within the village."
"So then what are you going to do about Naruto?" Darui spoke, "Sorry, but isn't it kinda dull for you if he goes to the other villages?" He made sure to add in the 'for you' part. He actually heavily disapproved of A's decision. Keeping secrets only leads to more damage down the road.
"That's none of our business."
"What about peo-"
"ENOUGH WITH THE QUESTIONING! I gave the order, now please follow it," A was now red, seemingly with anger. He was mostly just nervous. What would happen if Madara did actually come back to life? That was a scary thought.
"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto shouted while sprinting. The man slowly turned around and eye-smiled at the boy. Itachi and Shisui were behind him. Itachi Bowed and Shisui just waved.
"What's the matter, Naruto?"
Naruto told him to bend down. He whispered something in Kakashi's ear that made his shoot open, "He's... Obito, he's...? For sure? 100%?" The three nodded, "We need to tell lord third. NOW."
"What's the matter Kakashi?" Hiruzen asked. Naruto and the others were standing right next to him.
Shisui spoke up, "The man who attacked us on the boat is Obito Uchiha. We know for certain now. He's going to reincarnate Madara Uchiha."
Hiruzen puffed on his pipe before leaning forward onto his hands, "Good grief. We mustn't tell the villagers. We can communicate with other villages, but word must not spread among the civilians," he paused, "That name, Madara Uchiha, carries such palpable fear that it could throw the entire village into disarray. How is he going to reincarnate Madara?"
The group looked at Jiraiya, who looked down, "The Rinnegan, sensei."
"Do we have any idea where it is?"
"A man named Nagato has it. He's the leader of some sort of terrorist organization in the hidden rain, " Jiraiya winced at that. He almost began to tear up, actually. He had always believed Nagato was the child of prophecy. Technically he still was, just not the path Jiraiya hoped he would venture. Jiraiya prayed in his mind that what Naruto saw in Obito's mind was somehow false
"I see," Hiruzen looked at Jiraiya. He noticed his former student looking quite dreadful. He knew why. Jiraiya had told him long ago of the student he taught in the hidden rain with the Rinnegan. "Jiraiya," he spoke, "it's not-"
"I need to be the one to take him down," he interrupted, "he was my student after all." The others looked at him again. They all shared a confused look. Jiraiya turned to leave, before feeling a hand on his shoulder.
"You're not going without me," Naruto stared. He wasn't asking. He had made up his mind. Before Jiraiya could speak, Naruto interjected, "If you expect me to let you go and not worry about anything, you're dead wrong. If this guy has the Rinnegan, then you're no match alone," Naruto stated bluntly.
"Look, kid. I know you're worried, but don't forget that I'm strong too. This is just something I have to do alone," he said trying to soothe the boy.
It didn't work, "I don't believe that!" Naruto shouted, now tearing up, "Don't be cocky. If I go with you I could get more information than if-"
"Naruto," the man interrupted with a calm tone, "I'm going alone. That's it."
He turned around and walked a few steps before Naruto shouted again, "Then fight me for it!" Jiraiya stopped, "If you can beat me in a fight, then you're strong enough to go alone."
He turned to look at the boy. His fists were clenched and he was not too happy. "Fine, kid," he paused, "I won't hesitate to hurt you," then he sighed, "Hell, knowing you, I'd have to kill you to keep you from coming," he let out with a chuckle, expecting Naruto to as well.
"You're right about that... Jiraiya." That sent shivers down the Sannin's spine.
Hey all!
I'm going to be researching some new cool ninjutsu for Naruto. I got sick of just using hiraishin for everything so I just reverse plot armored it(would that be a plot stab? Plot thorns?).
Anyway~
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. Again, sorry about the wait for this. I've been very busy blah blah blah excuses excuses. Hope you have a good day/night (or else!)
