"So, how's it going between you and Zayn?" Harry asked me while he was driving the car and I didn't really want to tell him how my relationship with Zayn was going.

"It's...good," I said, clearly not wanting to talk more about it.

"He's recovering real quick."

"Yeah. That's...good."

"So, how's life?" he asked and I could see his desperate attempt of keeping up a conversation.

"It's great actually. I'm doing great with studies, my family's being a little less annoying and I have great friends. What about you?"

"Oh, wonderful! Great studies, wrote a few songs with the boys and the rest is fine," he replied. "I wrote this song that the boys don't know about. You wanna hear it?" he offered. Why did he ask me?

"Me? Why?" I asked.

"I just want to show it someone else before I show it to them," he answered with a smile.

"I don't know."

"Please," he looked at me while driving. His eyes twinkled and he was really hopeful. Saying no to that face would've been a crime. Wait... why am I thinking like that?!

"Fine."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'll come to listen your song," I said with a smile.

"Great. Tomorrow, after your classes end, join me in the music room."

"Great, I'll be there," I said and the awkwardness slowly died down when we started talking about what happened between Liam and Lana. But I didn't tell him about Louis and Merissa. I really wanted to but I wanted to talk to Louis first.

I spent that evening with Zayn. He's not totally well now. We talk for hours before he falls asleep. I kinda like watching him sleep, looks peaceful. I wanted to go back home but Zayn held on to my hand real tight while he was asleep and I couldn't free myself.

I could hear him mumbling in his sleep. It sounded so cute. He was singing in his angelic voice. Then he said things that were so vague, I couldn't understand. But then he said something that had shaken my soul.

He softly said, "Maya, I..love...you.. so much."

I didn't move. I was still. He kept on saying, "Maya, you're so beautiful. You make me happy. You take care of me. I don't want to loose you to Harry."

Harry?! Where did he come from?!! Loose me to Harry?

"Harry likes you and I can see it. He'll never tell me but I don't know if you like him too. You're with me but sometimes you look more happy and comfortable around him," he wouldn't shut up now. Was he really sleeping? Definitely he was, I can catch people lying in their sleep.

"Is Harry coming between us? Or I was in the middle all along?" he mumbled and I was shook. I didn't know what it meant but I was confused. Did what he just say make sense? Was there anybody coming in between me and someone? Was it Zayn...? No! I'm dating Zayn and he's in love with me! But I'm not...

"I saw you fall on Harry that day. I could feel the pain when your eyes met. I could see there were feelings. I really love you Maya. I really do," he said and I couldn't believe my ears anymore.

He drifted off to deep sleep continuously repeating the words "I love you". I just sat there, kept overthinking and fell asleep when I was finally tired of it all.

Maya woke up the next morning. Zayn was peacefully sleeping next to her. She thought whatever happened last night was just a dream but unfortunately it wasn't. She left Zayn a "see you later" note and went back to her place.

She got ready for college. She got out of her apartment and saw Zayn. He smiled and waved at her.

"What are you doing here? You don't have class today," she asked.

"I just thought it'd be nice if I gave you a ride."

"You don't have to. I'll walk."

"C'mon. You left early today before I even woke up. Come I'll drop you," he insisted and she couldn't turn him down.

They were in the car and Maya was dying to ask him about last night. They were mostly silent on their way to college. Maya didn't even realise that she was behaving awkwardly.

She walked into the halls and Harry waved at her from a distance. She tried to act normal but her avoiding him was not normal.

Her classes were over for the day and she was still unsure if she should go to listen to Harry's song. She was thinking of avoiding it with an excuse when she heard a call from behind.

"Hey Maya! Ready?" it was Harry, walking up to her.

"Umm, yeah!" she said. As much as she wanted to ignore him, she wanted to be around him. Was Zayn right? Am I happier with Harry? She thought to herself as they walked into the music room.

Harry sat down in front of the piano and Maya sat opposite to him. He smiled at her and started playing a tune that sounded heavenly to Maya. Harry's voice voice was truly incredible and it kept taking Maya to another universe. He smiled at her every now and then and his dimples sent shivers down Maya's spine. It almost felt like he was singing just for her.

There were intense emotions in his voice but sadness played a huge part in it. The world seemed to fade away for those three minutes and all Maya could see was Harry. All she wanted to hear was his voice.

Harry felt every word that left his voice. He was indeed singing just for her, he didn't know he was until he felt it. Harry wanted to sing and play just for her forever. Her face was the only one he wanted in front of his eyes.

Those three minutes were really magical for the two of them. The song was over and so was the moment. Harry got up from his place and sat next to Maya.

"So, how was it?" he asked, softly.

"It...it was...something else," she said as she looked into his eyes.

"I'm glad you liked it."

"I loved it, Harry."

Their gazes were fixed on each other but Maya broke it off.

"I-I-I should go," stammering, Maya stood up to leave but stopped as he held her hand from behind. She turned to look at him.

"Is it necessary to leave?" he asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Just, stay a little longer. I'll sing something else for you," he said, still holding her hand.

"I can't Harry, I shouldn't," she said, freeing her hand. As soon as she freed her hand, Harry held it again and pulled her close.

"What are you doing?" she asked, his hands on her waist, not letting go.

"Why do you have to run away, Maya?"

"Because this isn't right!"

"You're right and I know that! But can't you see it?" Harry said, passionately.

"I do," she whispered, giving up.

"What is happening?" Harry asked as he looked into her eyes, "why does everything seem so messed up?"

"I don't know. This wasn't supposed to be like this."

"Like what?"

"I don't know, okay?!! I'm confused! I'm dating your best friend and earlier, that's what I wanted! But then I gave up hope on that thought I was feeling something for you! But then, Zayn asked me out and all those feelings came back! But I can't deny what I feel towards you..." before she could finish Harry pulled her and kissed her. She didn't stop either.

He picked her up, holding her leg and pinned her to the wall. She opened his buttons, engrossed in the kiss. They were not letting go of each other while their hands ran all over the other. He put her down and his hands went down her waist. His left arm came between their previously attached bodies. He undid her jeans' button. When his fingers started going down, Maya realized what was happening.

She pulled his hand out before it went too low. She slightly pushed him back. The realization sunk in for both of them. They looked at each other in utter shock. Maya hurriedly fixed her buttons and Harry did too. Maya ran out of the room and Harry stood there, motionless.

The rest of the day Maya studied alone at her place. She was done with studying and kept on thinking about what happened with Harry earlier that day. She kept on thinking how she'd cheated on Zayn when Louis texted her "Party at my place tomorrow just like that... everyone's gonna be there so you've gotta be there. Pleaseeeeee" she texted back "Fine. I'll come but I'll leave whenever I want"That reminded her that she had to talk to him about Merissa. I also need to know who Georgia's date was the other day and why did Lana ask Liam out after rejecting him all this while. And how do I stay normal with Zayn after cheating on him? And Harry? What do I do about him? These thoughts kept her awake most of the night till she fell asleep.
