I barely had any sleep, my back hurt like hell from bending to clean and I felt a little too human and less Yautja. I headed to the arena near the Gods temple for practice. I was already late, so I quickly got in line before the instructor could even notice my tardiness and send a glare my way. I huffed and looked to my side to see Tu'puk and my mother standing outside the arena staring right back at me. Even if the instructor didn't notice, my family did. I cursed under my breath, my mother didn't believe in waking me up for practice. I was supposed to be disciplined enough to do it myself.

"I anticipate a later practice today since it is testing day. We will study the primitive styles of Earth weaponry today. Our warriors seem to find what Ooman's Eastern weapons are a fair match to ours. These were just brought in so please do not damage them too badly..." The instructor then again laid his eyes on me with a stern face. I gave him a sour look. I wasn't the only one around here breaking weapons!

It was my turn to pick the weapon of my choice. I approached the table looking down at the strange weapons carefully. What was called a chakram and a chain whip seemed to be the only weapon here that would be suitable for my size. Not only that, but if I were to spar, I had to use them effortlessly and with skill. I looked behind me to see my much bigger counterparts. The other Yautja had picked bigger weapons. Maybe I could have an advantage. So I picked the two smaller weapons up and put them on my belt.

"Kha'bj-te ." A voice scoffed. I turned around fully to see Cuda, commander's son and my worst enemy he was standing next to Rah a large Yautja with completely black skin and grey markings. He was a prime example of Yautjian beauty. He stood there with an amused smirk plastered on his face. My face tinted red, maybe was choice was wrong. My teeth ground together, my eyes slapped back to Cuda,

"Excuse me?" I said above my normal tone of voice which made him raise a brow.

"I said your choice was kha'bj-te." Cuda crossed his arms and bendy forward slightly to exaggerate his taunts. "Are you deaf? Or are your ooman ears failing you?" He smirked with a glint in his eyes.

"A good Yautja would know that it matters upon how a weapon is handled, every weapon is deadly if used correctly!" I rebutted angrily. Cuda's glare turned practically murderous and his huge muscles tensed in embarrassment. Rah burst into laughter, but he wasn't laughing at me. It was directed towards the fuming Cuda. I felt heat on my cheeks nonetheless and marched away from them and back into line. With the Chakram settled on my hips and the whip chain coiled in my hand, I had to now prove that my words weren't in vain.

The matches went by slowly. The day Suns were beginning to slowly set and drift into night.

"The last match today is Atorah vs. Cuda!" My jaw dropped, Instructor had to be doing this on purpose, this is exactly what I DID NOT WANT! I could see Cuda's evil stare as I approached the ring.

"Umm, sir is this really-,"

"Shut up and get in the damn ring." He lightly pushed me into the ring, cutting me off. Yautja began to surround it. My uncle and mother stood back, watching with what looked like concern. Mother took a couple steps closer, Yautja politely moving so she could see us.

"FIGHT!" I suddenly heard the Instructor roar.

Cuda ran straight for me, making no hesitation to jab at me with his staff weapon. I spun away from its dagger like tip, using his energy to roll from the staff. I was on the defensive and I felt that this was where he wanted me. Blood began to rush through my ears a as adrenaline pumped through me. It was here that I could see his exposed midsection. I unfurled the chain whip and flicked my wrist, giving him a nice long bleeding slash on the side of his belly. He turned my way, mandibles flaring. The look in his eyes contained nothing but hate, like this was what he had been waiting for, for a long time. I was so distracted by his look that he grabbed the bloodied chain and yanked so hard that I went sprawling across the mat. Cuda's hisses turned into chuckles. I could hear his large feet approaching me, walking up to my downed form, his foot landed on my shoulder, not enough to break it, but enough to make me grunt in pain. He rolled the foot as if he were playing with a toy,

"Come on Atorah, what's wrong? You call yourself a Yautja. But I bet your not even half of that." He taunted.

Suddenly I felt all the weight of Cuda taken off of me. I looked up to witness him feet off the floor and held from the neck by my mother who was seething anger, growling and glaring daggers at him.

"Mother!" I scurried to my feet surprised and a bit embarrassed. This wasn't normal, Yautjian parents don't just break up fights!

"Sirrah stop!" My uncle shouted.

"What did you say Youngblood.?" Her sharp teeth were glowing. No one objected, no one spoke, and Cuda wasn't going to even try to repeat that sentence.

"Great Sirrah, please, in your honor put down my student, before Commander comes in and finds you assaulting his son."

Yes...that's right. Cuda is Commanders son.

"Mom, please..." My mother hesitantly let her fingers unwrap around Cuda's neck dropping him back on the mat. He looked absolutely embarrassed.

"I will train you from now on. Do you dare challenge that instructor?" Mom took a step towards him threateningly. The instructor immediately averted his eyes to avoid the possibility of actual violence. "I thought so...come along my daughter so I can get you ready for your chores." I followed my mother closely. Her hand coming to rest on my head as she took me home.

"That is her mother? The one who killed many bad bloods?" I heard a whisper between two males. I peeked behind me, Cuda and Rah watching me leave.

I wanted to hide.

"It can't be true..."

"She's so small compared to her!"

"Ignore them Torah." My mother whispered. But her voice just seemed to mix with the rest of them.
