From nowhere,
A venomous strike.
Too much to bear.
Lots of emotions.
This isn't fair!
"Hm. Naruto, right?" Hiruzen asked the boy sitting next to him. Said boy nodded, the dog on his head almost sliding off, "Naruto, for some reason, I feel very upset," he frowned and his face scrunched up, "Oh well. Naruto? I think I remember something," the boy looked at him expectantly.
"Well what is it, gramps?"
"I'm very proud of you."
Naruto looked into space for a moment. At first it made him happy. But then, he thought about Hiruzen with all of his memories telling him that. He grit his teeth, "I'll be right back, gramps. I'm going to ask Granny something."
"Who's granny?"
"Oh right, I mean Tsunade." The man tilted his head back in understanding, and got up to water his flower.
Naruto left the room, closing the door behind him.
As soon as Naruto left, two tall figures appeared in Hiruzen's room.
"Granny, is there anyone in particular that would make the old man sad?"
She thought about it for a moment, "Maybe Orochimaru."
A grave look spanned Naruto's face and he left immediately. Tsunade became worried and followed the boy.
They opened the door to the Hokage's room to see a tall, black haired figure standing next to a blonde figure. The blonde was wearing a white cloak with red flames. It read, "Yondaime Hokage."
"Orochimaru. You monster," Naruto muttered as he faced the man.
"I remember you. You were a great disappointment, " Hiruzen grumbled, looking at Orochimaru, "For some reason I feel... sorry for you."
Orochimaru growled and turned his gaze to Naruto, "Didn't expect to meet your father, did you, fox?" Naruto scowled. He didn't. He also didn't know how Orochimaru had resurrected him.
Hiruzen got up, "I think I would like to go over with-" Minato slammed his hand into the wall, causing Hiruzen to fall back down, "It seems that I'm being blocked."
"What's your plan here, Orochimaru?"
"Well why should I tell you that. That would just be no fun." He extended his arm as snakes began to fly out from it, wrapping around Hiruzen, "You'll see him soon enough. Along with some others," he cackled as he leapt out the window with Hiruzen in tow. It left a horrid taste in Naruto's mouth. Minato stayed behind.
"Naruto, I'm very sorry. I don't want to be doing this. My body is moving on it's own."
Naruto nodded, "It's okay. Do you know what Orochimaru is planning?"
"I'm unable to tell you. I'm sorry, Naruto," Minato turned and leapt out the window following Orochimaru.
"We need to evacuate everyone. If Orochimaru is planning to destroy the village, he'll easily be able to do it using lord fourth."
"Right, I'll give the order. Naruto go gather as many shinobi as you can find. We're going to need everything we have if we want a chance."
Naruto nodded and handed Bolt to Tsunade. He dashed out of the hospital, running into Sakura in the hallway. She was incredibly strong, but was she needed more here at the hospital? Naruto decided to take a risk. He grabbed her arm, dragging her along, "Sakura! There's no time to explain, we need to find every shinobi we can. The main ones at least. It's urgent."
"Wait wait, I need at least a little explanation."
"Orochimaru might be attacking the village. He resurrected lord fourth.
"Oh my..."
"Find everyone you can, hurry!"
Naruto found Haku and Zabuza walking outside, Choji, Shikamaru, and Ino had just returned from a mission, and they were all heading to the Uchiha compound. They burst through the door, much to Mikoto's surprise, "Mikoto-sama," Naruto was panting, "Where are Sasuke, Itachi, and Shisui?"
"They're out by the creek. Why? What's going on?"
"Something urgent. You need to get to the evac tunnels. Gather as many people as you can." The boy and his posse rushed out the door. They found the three Uchiha sitting by the creek, Sasuke was skipping stones, "Orochimaru might attack the village. You guys need to come with me. Now." They got up and followed Naruto back into the village. They met up with Sakura, who had found all of teams 8 and 9.
"Where are we supposed to go?" Tenten asked.
"I'm not too sure. He has lord fourth," the shinobi gasped, "They could come from anywhere. Be on your toes."
"I have an idea," Shisui said as he activated his mangekyō. A large green skeleton was erected around the group. Muscles, skin, and armored plates began to surround the skeleton until it was now a full-bodied warrior. In its hand was a large, drill-like Lance, "If I can get a good eye on Orochimaru, I could try using kotoamutsukami somehow."
"If you think it'll work. The susanoo is a good idea. It should protect from whatever Orochimaru throws at us," Itachi said, activating his as well. "Naruto, don't you have Kakashi's?"
"I don't know. I've never tried," he activated both of Kakashi's mangekyō. Since he couldn't use space-time ninjutsu, he hadn't really used them in a while. He did the same thing for activating Shisui's or Itachi's susanoo, 'Excrete chakra from every part of your body all at once, send the rest to the eyes, activate the Sharingan, and...' a light blue skeletal form appeared, muscle and skin began to envelope it. As soon as it started, threads of muscle began to flay off, and the bones began crumble, 'hm. Hey, Kurama. Do you think you can be the body?'
'Might as well try. I don't know why you didn't just go with me first.'
'Alright lets give it a shot,' Naruto and Kurama mixed their chakra, and the boy began to glow. The large shadow of kyuubi formed, light blue armor slammed on top of it. "Perfect. Everybody needs to stay within these spaces, either with Shisui, Itachi, or me. Let's spread out, get high vantage points."
The three and their respective groups set out on separate directions. Naruto had Zabuza, Haku, Sakura, and Sasuke.
"Naruto," Sasuke spoke, "How do you have access to the susanoo?" Sasuke already knew about fūinnome, but he just wanted to hear Naruto say it.
"How do you know about it?"
"Itachi."
Naruto sighed, "Look, there's a lot that I can't tell you about me. As much as I would like to, I can't. You just have to be patient."
"What is this thing anyway?" Zabuza asked.
"It's the susanoo. An ability only supposed to be used by the Uchiha who have mangekyō Sharingan, a rare form of the Sharingan obtained through great trauma. Somehow, this loser can use it," Sasuke pointed to Naruto.
"Hm. That is pretty interesting," Haku rubbed her chin, "But I think there might be more important things going on. Could we maybe discuss this afterwards?"
"Fine." That was as good as they were going to get from Sasuke.
"Where's lady fifth? And all the people like Gai and Kakashi-sensei?"
"They'll find us. Tsunade was rounding up all of the civilians to evacuate them. Kakashi, though, I'm not too sure."
"What's the situation, kiddo," Jiraiya hopped down from a toad.
"Orochimaru could be attacking the village. He resurrected lord fourth."
Jiraiya's jaw dropped, "How could he have done that? Edo tensei?"
The group looked at him funny, "What is that?"
"Lord seconds jutsu. You resurrect the soul of someone and place it in another body. It's a forbidden jutsu: it requires a live sacrifice."
Naruto gasped, "He took lord third. He's planning on resurrecting him in his prime."
"That could be. If so, we're in trouble. The third and the fourth will be a lot to handle. Where is Tsunade?"
"Evacuating civilians. I'm sure she could use the help."
"Right. Good luck to all of you. We're counting on you." He leapt off into the village.
"Who is this Orochimaru guy? Ever since we've been here we've heard nothing but wretched things about him," Haku asked.
"You've been in the village for 4 years and haven't bothered to learn who Orochimaru is? Hm."
"No need to be hostile, Sasuke. A simple explanation would have done."
"Sorry about him," Sakura spoke, "Orochimaru is a missing-nin from Konoha. He left after he was discovered conducting human experiments. Most of the awful things you've heard about him are probably true." Naruto winced. 'Yeah they're true all right. And then some.'
"Hm. Susanoo, Huh? This'll be a lot tougher than I thought. What do you think, Sarutobi-sensei."
"I wish you would have left me alone."
"Awww, poor thing. You're no fun. Lord fourth?"
"You sicken me, snake."
"Ouch. So hurtful. Alright you two, get on with it. I'll have your predecessors out there soon enough. Don't wait up." The two Kage leapt off towards the village. A green susanoo sat atop the gate. It dropped down and readied its lance. The fourth Hokage was gone in an instant, and the group inside the susanoo faced off against the remaining Hokage.
"I'm sorry, lord third."
"No, Shisui. The apology is all mine," Hiruzen bit his finger and planted his hand on the ground. A poof of smoke cleared, and a large monkey stood in its place.
"What's going on, Sarutobi," the monkey called out.
"Orochimaru. He's controlling us."
"If only you had killed him that day. You froze up old ma- woah," the monkey walked over towards Hiruzen. It seemed like he was moving against his own will. He transformed into a long rod and hiruzen latched on. He pointed the stick towards the susanoo.
"Damn," Shikamaru shouted, crouching into his thinking stance. Hiruzen charged the warrior. He slashed his nyoi at the warrior, "Shisui, you need to dodge it," he jumped back, avoiding the blow.
"Okay, but may I ask why?"
"That thing is unbreakable. There's a good chance it could cut through this... uh this thing."
"You might not know, but this guy's unbreakable as well."
"Hm. If you're okay taking that risk then go ahead. I need to think for a moment." He stayed hunched over for a minute. He looked at his personnel. Tenten, Neji, Ino, Choji. "Tenten, do you have anything made of chakra metal?"
"Let me check."
"Neji, try to keep a steady flow of air palm on lord third, try to force him away from the forest."
"Got it."
"Shikamaru, here, this is all I got," Tenten handed over a shuriken and two small blades. It wasn't much, but it would work.
"Alright. When I give the signal Tenten, throw everything you have at him. Neji when Tenten starts her assault, I want you to stop the air flow. Ino," he whispered something to her and she nodded. "Alright everybody," Shikamaru picked up his chakra tools, "Get ready."
'Okay Ino, relax. Remember, Rat, Ox, Monkey, Tiger, Dragon, Boar, release. Just like Itachi said.' While Shikamaru was whispering to Ino, they were actually talking to Shisui and Itachi through Mind Body Transmission. Itachi gave them the signs for release, and also told them how the bodies needed to be sealed to be destroyed. They relayed the information to Naruto, but it was a little bit difficult. He was in the middle of fighting lord fourth at the moment.
"Neji! Go now!"
Itachi, Team 8, and Lee were all on a hill near the outskirts of town. They had seen Shisui hop down from the ledge.
'Itachi, it's Shikamaru. Is there a way to release lord seconds reanimation jutsu?'
'The user has to do a series of hand seals. You won't be able to.'
'What are the hand seals? Please.'
'Rat, Ox, Monkey, Tiger, Dragon, Boar, release. You won't be able to kill them, you'll have to seal away the bodies. Make sure you get that to Naruto.'
'Got it. Thanks Itachi.'
Itachi readied the Yata mirror, "We don't know what's coming. Be re-"
"You. Girl." A white haired and a black haired man appeared, the white haired man was speaking and pointing to Hinata, "You said that the first Hokage was the best. How dare you?"
Everyone looked at him in confusion. The black haired man spoke, "Uh, what are you talking about, Tobirama?"
"6 years ago, that girl and a bunch of her little friends were sitting by that tree," he pointed to a tree overlooking the river, "They were discussing which Hokage was the best. NONE OF THEM SAID ME!"
"How do you know about that?" Hinata asked.
He crossed his arms and mumbled, "Don't worry about it, brat," his gaze switched to Itachi and his susanoo, "Oh great. An Uchiha, with that damned susanoo no less."
"Tobirama, I think we're being controlled."
"Yes, elder brother, it's my jutsu."
"Listen, hidden leaf shinobi," he stopped talking and gave a funny look beyond the susanoo, "Who's that lady carved into Hokage rock?"
"That's the fifth Hokage, lady Tsunade."
The black haired man's head dropped, "Tsuna?" His voice cracked, "That can't be, the village looks fine." The two Kage jerked upright and raised out their arms, "Well, sorry, looks like we're fighting."
Naruto and the others were standing guard. They had just seen Shisui's susanoo jump down from the ledge and brace itself. They had to be ready as well.
"Be ready everyone. I have a feeling lord fourth's on his way." Naruto pulled out a long steel chain, the kyuubi avatar doing the same, and revealed an amulet from underneath his shirt. The chains began to glow a bright reddish orange. The colors on the chain seemed to move, giving them the appearance of molten lava. Naruto slammed the chain into the ground, causing five similar chains to sprout from his and Kurama's back, "Uzumaki style: Adamantine chains of Rage!
A decrepit place,
Once great,
Now only a disgrace.
It was a terrible fate,
But one unavoidable.
Misfortune describes the Uzumaki.
Naruto and Jiraiya had been searching the former land of the Uzumaki for quite a while now. It had been a year and they already found quite a bit. Ancient tomes, scrolls, and trinkets were scattered about the land. Although there was many treasures, there was also a lot of nothing as well. He had found a few amulets with the Uzumaki symbol, each was a different color. He had a green, blue, orange, yellow, and, his favorite, red. He had been wearing the red one around his neck since he found it.
"Hey kid! Come look at this." Naruto hopped down into what seemed to be a basement, and looked to where Jiraiya was standing, "How many of those necklaces do you have?"
"Five. Why?"
Jiraiya sighed, "There's 8 holes here, each has a different color. They're about the size of one of those necklaces."
Naruto plugged the orange one in the orange slot. The necklace stuck into the slot. He placed all but the red one in and the two left. "Do you think the others could have been destroyed?"
"I don't know, kid. That door looked very important, I don't think they would make it's key so flimsy."
"Well, we've searched every inch of this place, where do you think the others could be?"
"Well, for starters, long relatives of the people here. People might have had them outside of here and handed it down to their children and so on. Or they could have been stolen, or strewn about along the battlefield, picked up by passerby's. It will be incredibly hard to track them down." Naruto frowned, "There's another thing," he looked back up, "You remember that black scroll we found, the one we had to go back home to the sealing team for?" Naruto nodded, "Well it said this," Jiraiya undid the scroll.
From the deepest of highs,
And the tallest caverns,
The treasure you seek
Is found in such matters.
When you have both supply,
Just remember one thing:
Look up to the sky.
"Yeah. So what, Pervy Sage?"
"Well it has something to do with treasure. Don't you think it could have something to do with the amulets?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Well it's our best lead, so let's follow it."
"Fine. We have all this time for a reason. Let's go look for the tallest point and the lowest point."
"Ah Ah, don't be so jumpy," the boy tilted his head, "Why would they say 'deepest' when talking about high places. You would call a low place deep, no? Same thing for 'tallest' for caverns. It's more than just a mountain and a deep cave."
"So what do you think?"
"Maybe we have to find the highest, deepest point, and the lowest, tallest point."
"Oh yeah! That makes a lot of sense! I understand this plan! I totally get it!"
Jiraiya sighed, "Baka. Okay, think of it like this. We need to find a tall mountain that is lower than every other mountain, and a deep cave that is taller than any other."
"So how do we do that? And also, what are we doing?"
Jiraiya rubbed his forehead and sighed again. "You know what, maybe I'll just keep the complicated stuff to myself from now on."
Naruto held out a thumbs up, "On it!"
"I didn't even tell you to do anything."
"I know. Do nothing: Got it!"
Jiraiya knew that this would be tough. They would have to view several mountains simultaneously to see which one was at a lower elevation. Because Naruto didn't have his kamui, they would have to travel by flight, through Naruto's transformation. It would be even harder for caves, since the weren't easily visible at first. They had stopped in an inn located in the land of tea.
"Hello, travelers! Welcome, have a seat here," an old man, presumably the innkeeper, gestured towards the bar, "We don't get many patrons here, so forgive me if I pry too much," the two just shook his worry off, "What brings you to the land of tea?"
"Well we're actually searching for something, do you think you might have any leads?" They would ask this wherever they stayed. Most people had no idea how to help them, but it didn't hurt to ask, "We're trying to solve a riddle," he said it to the man, "We think it's referring to a cave of some sort that is at a high elevation, and a mountain at a low elevation."
The man raised a finger, "Admittedly I have no clue about the cave, but the mountain, I might know."
"Really old man?! Well what is it?"
"Not so fast, boyo, information isn't free."
"Well whadda I owe you?"
"Information can be exchanged for information. I'll only except some real dirt, the good stuff, for this one. So hit me with your best shot."
"Pff, piece of cake," Jiraiya laughed, "Ever heard about the Akatsuki?"
"Yes. I know everything about them. Madara Uchiha's there too."
The two looked at the man, stunned, "Uhhh, okay... did you know he's not actually Madara?"
"No, but who cares. That's not the good stuff, that ain't the cheese, kid."
"Grrr. Alright, I know where all of Orochimaru's hideouts are."
"Me too. Try again, kiddo."
"What?! Okay... I know Yagura, the former Mizukage, is still alive."
"Yup me too."
"Hmph. You sure do know a lot. How is that?"
"You'll have to give me some of the cream for that, some of the A1 info, got that?"
"There's somebody out there with a Rinnegan."
"You have no proof. Can't take it."
"GRR. Okay let's see... Pervy Sage," he pointed to the man, "Is actually still a virgin."
"HEY WHAT!? THAT'S JUST A PURE LIE!"
"YEAH BUT WHY'D YOU HAVE TO BLOW IT-TTEBAYO!"
"Not good enough anyway."
"Alright, alright fine. I didn't want to do this," Naruto paused as he reached into his bag and untied a cloth from his arm, "I know who Inari-sama is."
The man tilted his head, "Oh? Do tell."
"First I need your word that you will tell me your information if I tell you this. If you don't, you are a dead man."
"DON'T threaten me, boy."
Naruto slammed his hand on the table. He held it there, "Don't threaten me. Do I have your word?" The man crossed his arms and nodded.
"Naruto, are you sure about this?"
"Yes, Pervy Sage." He lifted his hand, revealing an anbu fox mask. He rolled up his sleeve, revealing his anbu tattoo, "I, Naruto Uzumaki, am Inari-sama."
The man picked up the mask and examined the tattoo. He took a step back, waited for a second, then gave a nod of approval, "Do you have a map?"
Jiraiya handed the man a map. He took out a pen and marked a spot in the ocean, "That's the spot of the long inactive Takai Volcano." He handed the map to Jiraiya, "Do you mind me asking what you're looking for?"
"Well that'll cost ya. What's your name?"
The man let out a laugh, "Fukuro. My name is Fukuro."
"Nice to meet you, Fukuro," Jiraiya said, shaking the mans hand.
"We're looking for basically anything about the Uzumaki clan. We've found a bunch so far, and that riddle is part of it."
The man tilted his head back, "Ah, well. Good luck to the both of you. I hope you find what your looking for easily."
Naruto and Jiraiya slept in the inn before leaving in the morning. They walked outside and Jiraiya opened the map, "Hey, kid. Why were you so willing to tell that guy about the fox?"
"Firstly, someone would have to ask him to tell them. Those are pretty low odds. Secondly, that person would have to give him an equal piece of info. It should stay pretty safe."
"Yeah but all it takes is one loud mouth and your secret is out."
"Yeah well who cares?" He threw his hands behind his head, "I don't even work anymore. I'll be fine."
Naruto and Jiraiya stood at the edge of the water. They looked down into the deep abyss at the faint outline of a large structure below.
"So, uh, Pervy Sage, what are we going to do?"
"Probably use some sort of ninjutsu."
"Yeah. Good plan." The two stood there for a moment.
"Uh, so, get to it," Jiraiya clapped the boy on the back, and turned to leave towards the nearby village, "I'm going to check out the local ladies."
"Pervy Sage there's not gonna be -"
"Relax, kid, you can figure it out," he waved over his shoulder as he walked.
Naruto stared at the water for a while and shrugged and held his hands out, "Great breakthrough," a long stream of air shot out from his hands into the water. It cleared a sort of tunnel for a split second, followed by it immediately filling in with water. Naruto rubbed his chin for a moment. He had an idea. He tried to use the tunneling technique on the water, but it had a similar effect to the great breakthrough. He sent wind chakra to his hand, and held it to the water. The water seemed to bend and shape around the chakra in his hand. He focused the chakra into a big ball in his hand, being careful not to spin it like the Rasengan. He brought the chakra orb up to his face, trying to place it around his head. The bubble popped when his head touched it, "Hm. I'm stumped."
"Here, try using both hands," Jiraiya said from behind him, "make two half bubbles from each side maybe."
"Aah look who's back. I guess the women in the village weren't up to your fancy," he said looking back at the man, "Why are you covering your eye?"
"No reason. It's not swollen or anything."
"Hmph. Whatever, just come help me look for this treasure. If it's even down there."
Both of them stripped down to their underwear and placed a bubble around their heads. They carefully lowered into the water head first, and began to swim towards the volcano. When they reached the top, Naruto noticed a small, glowing Uzumaki symbol in the middle of the opening. 'Maybe if I-' he placed his amulet on the spot and the world around them began to rumble. The solidified lava that filled the volcano began to part, leaving a small hole in the center. From the hole, a purple Uzumaki amulet appeared. Naruto grabbed on, nodded towards Jiraiya, and began to swim towards the surface.
They reached the top and popped their bubbles, "Two more to go. Now's the hard part, kiddo," Jiraiya looked past Naruto for a second, "Hey! That guys stealing our clothes," Naruto snapped around to see someone, accurately described, stealing their clothes. Naruto and Jiraiya swam as fast as they could towards the thief, who promptly took off. Naruto tried to amplify his speed using wind release, but he just ended up submerging into the water.
Jiraiya was actually kind of worried. He didn't get nervous over much, but his coat was a gift from Fukasaku, his senjutsu teacher; He couldn't just buy another one. The two eventually reached the surface, and followed the mans trail. The ground was pretty soft, so he made easily identifiable footprints. They ran up to an alley and found the man hunched over, going through their clothes. Naruto charged up a Rasengan and spoke, "Shouldn't have gone down an alley. Now you have no escape."
Jiraiya put a hand out to stop the boy, "That's enough Naruto. Look, you're not going to be able to get past us, so why don't you just give our clothes back."
"Listen, I really need these. Me and my family have been wearing the same set of clothes for 3 months."
"Well just hand me the clothes and I can give you something in return. I promise it'll be worth it." The man handed the clothes to Jiraiya. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small sack. He tossed it to the man, "Here. I was going to spend it on booze and women, but as you probably know there's not a lot of that. You can buy your family clothes and the like for a while. Just don't steal from people. Or at least try not to."
The man nodded and ran past them, clicking his heels, "Gee pervy sage, you kinda let him off easy, don't you think?"
Jiraiya shrugged, "Don't know and I don't care. All I did was help a fellow man out."
Naruto looked on as the man walked off. He hadn't known how to feel about that exchange, but he got over it. After all, they had their clothes now.
It had been almost a year straight of searching for "The tallest cavern." Naruto and Jiraiya had no idea what that could have meant. They thought that they either had to find some sort of deep hole that started at a high elevation, or they just had to find the deepest hole possible. Either way, there was only one way to find out how deep a hole was: by going in. Naruto actually found the caving kind of fun, for the first 500 caves. They had returned to Uzushiogakure and were searching for any possible clues on where exactly the rest of the amulets could be. That's when suddenly Naruto had an idea, "Hey, pervy sage. Do you think it could be talking about a graveyard or something?"
"Why do you say that?"
"Graveyards aren't really happy places. Lots of dead people, you could consider that a low."
"So a graveyard that's very high up."
"It's worth a shot. At this point I'm desperate for anything. We might as well check around here first."
The two walked up a winding path, stopping when they reached a large gate. There was a large field sitting next to a tall rock spire. Graves lined the field for what seemed like miles: a truly sorrowful place. "Look for the swirly. That's how we found the other one."
"Right. I'll keep an eye out."
The two searched each grave, each tree, and every thing else, only to be disappointed, coming up empty. Naruto just wanted to scream. It was incredibly frustrating. They had searched every cave they could find, and followed every lead, only to come up with dead ends. Screaming did actually sound very nice. He leapt up to the peak of the large rock tower and let out a mighty, "GAAAAAAAH!" He felt a little better. He turned and sat on the lone tree that stood atop the structure. He opened his bag and took out a red scarf and a hat. He held it close to him. It was a constant reminder of the people back home, Hinata specifically. They were the reason he was here in the first place. He was doing it for them.
Jiraiya followed the boy after he heard a loud scream, "Everything al- huh? No way!"
Naruto cocked his head at the man. Jiraiya was pointing to the base of the tree trunk. Naruto followed his finger to see a stone Uzumaki symbol right next to him.
Naruto placed the red amulet in the slot on the tree. When the stone and the metal made contact, a door in the tree opened up, revealing a deep hole. Naruto stuffed the scarf in his bag. He began his descent.
On the far wall was a singular stone pedestal containing a darker purple amulet. Naruto picked up the amulet and blinked. When his eyes opened, he was in an area completely made of red. It was kind of menacing.
"Who are you?" An old voice spoke from behind the boy, "Ye who collected all eight amulets of the Uzumaki: Who are you?"
"Well a proper man usually introduces himself before asking another persons name."
The man hit him with his cane, "What's with the games, boyo? Just tell me your name."
Naruto rubbed the bump on his head, "You should watch what you're doing with that-ttebayo," he sat there for a while before coming to a realization, "Are you an Uzumaki?"
"Yes. Who are you? How many times do I have to ask?"
"Oh right sorry, I'm Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki-ttebayo!"
"Hm. Why's your hair blonde if you're an Uzumaki?"
"I get it from my dad-ttebayo," Naruto scowled, "I wish I had moms hair though."
"Who was your mother? Was she an Uzumaki?"
"Kushina Uzumaki. Do you know her?"
The man laughed, "Ah yes, Kushina. She was my granddaughter," Naruto's eyes lit up, "how is she doing?"
Naruto's excitement faded, "She's dead," the man frowned, "Somebody released the kyuubi from her when I was born."
The man looked confused, "Kyuubi? In Kushina?"
"Yeah. It was sealed in her when she was young-ttebayo."
"Hm. What of the rest of the Uzumaki?"
"Um," Naruto rubbed the back of his neck, "You're looking at what's left." The man gasped before looking down. They both stood in awkward silence for a minute.
"What's your name, gramps?"
"Yajiri Uzumaki."
"Why am I here?"
"You're dead," he noticed the shock on the boys face, "No I'm just joking."
"Hey you better watch it, gramps!"
"Oh settle down-ttebare. I don't know why you're here actually. May I ask why you're here?"
"I dunno I just picked up this amulet. I blinked and now I'm here-ttebayo."
"Why'd you need the amulet?"
"To open a door. I'm looking for the sealing chains."
"Oh yes, I know that door. Why do you need the chains?"
"Well, in case something dangerous attacks my village. I need to protect my friends."
"How long have you been searching?"
"2 years."
"Well if you wanted to protect your friends, shouldn't you have just stayed in the village for those 2 years?"
He thought about it for a moment, "Yeah, maybe. I need something to protect them when what I have isn't strong enough. If I don't find it now, the there's a chance I won't be able to protect them in the future," he looked into the mans eyes, "That's why I can't risk it."
The old man nodded, "I deem you worthy. My only regret is that I couldn't meet you in the flesh, Naruto. You seem like a fine young man-ttebare," the man smiled and pointed upwards. Naruto looked up. A black amulet floated down, attached was a note:
Place all the pieces
Into their places.
Nephews and nieces,
With all-colored faces.
The amulets all as fit as a fiddle,
You mustn't yet submit defeat.
Uzumaki blood in the middle
Makes the ritual complete.
Naruto looked down and was back in the cavern, "You alright kiddo?"
Naruto nodded, "We have the last amulet."
The two walked over to where the door was. Naruto placed the remaining amulets in their respective slots. The wall began to shake as it slowly lowered into the ground, revealing 3 pedestals in a row, and two at the back. There was a plaque on the ground at the entrance. It read, "READ THE TOME FIRST. ONLY AN UZUMAKI CAN ENTER."
Naruto ventured to the back of the room, to where said tome was. He read through the ten or so pages. The sealing chains were a kekkei genkai of the Uzumaki clan: very few had it. There were three items, however, that allowed the user to gain abilities based on the bloodline limit. There was a page for each item on the the three lined up pedestals. In the leftmost one had a sword, the middle one had a pair of cloth gloves, and the rightmost one was draped with a long chain. The book stated two conditions for owning one of the items
1.) You must be an Uzumaki.
2.) One per person.
Katana of The Whirlwind
'The blade allows the user to use the chains as purely brute force attacks. They also provide the user with slight chakra disabling. The chains move on their own based on what the user was thinking, and requires no chakra to use.'
The Gloves of The Moderate
'The gloves allow for, like in the name, moderate chakra absorption. This comes at the cost of a, once again, moderate amount of chakra.'
The Chain of Blunt Fury
The chain was what Naruto took an interest in, 'The chain requires massive amounts of chakra to use.' It required chakra that would kill most people if they attempted to use it. Naruto wasn't most people. Although an actual chain being the vessel for the chains is quite blunt, that doesn't mean it is less powerful than the others. 'Because of the massive chakra use required, the chain's power can be switched on or off in an instant. The chain, when activated, will allow the user to instantly drain a persons chakra, disabling them entirely. Although a person does not actually absorb the chakra, the limit on their chakra is raised substantially after absorbing someone else's.'
Amulet of The Hurricane Blood
There were three amulets on the pedestal next to the book. 'One amulet is required to activate any of the items abilities. The amulet and the first item picked up will link themselves through the users chakra. The user will then be bound, much like a summoning jutsu, by the item and the amulet. If a person attempted to take another item, it would reject them. If a person were to attempt to walk out with more than one item, their chakra will be instantly drained.'
The book also detailed how Naruto was to take one of the necklaces from the door.
Naruto grabbed his chain and his Activating amulet before exiting. He turned back towards the door, retrieving the light purple necklace. The door slammed shut, and the other amulets flew past them. He noticed the slot for the light purple amulet was gone. He threw the chain and purple amulet in his bag, and the activation amulet over his neck. He walked out to Jiraiya, "It's over. We finally did it!"
Oof geez this ones long, sorry about that. Anyway, Hope you have a good day/night (or else!)
