"Max?" Kenny asked, his mind clearing a bit as they solidified in her home. "What...Max?"

She smiled at him, seeing how he couldn't take his eyes off her. "Welcome home, Kenny. Our home."

"You look," he stammered. "Max, you look...how do you look like this?"

"Do you like it?"

He nodded, her toned and curvy body, wild hair, and devilish smile on her face making him weak in the knees. "You're...You were always beautiful, this...Max."

She twirled her hair around her finger. "Do you know what I am, Kenny?"

"The love of my life."

"You're sweet," she sighed. "And good. There aren't enough good humans anymore."

He looked at her for a long time. "Humans?"

"Humans are selfish and fickle. They aren't ever happy," she said. "The wish for things they don't need because they think it will make them happy and it doesn't."

"What are you talking about? Max, are you okay?"

"How did we get here, Kenny?" she asked, intertwining her fingers with his. "One minute we were in your hospital room and the next here."

He stared into her too green eyes, his heart beating faster. "Max?"

"You don't have to be afraid. You're with me. I won't let anything happen to you again."

"You're not Max."

"Oh, I am. I'm a different Max, but still her. I changed that night," she sighed. "I didn't know it right away, but I stopped being human that instant she died and I was reborn. I'm very much still Max."

"I should go," he said, stepping back from her and freezing. "What?"

"I claimed you. You're my companion," Max said, wrapping her arms around him. "It's really quite an honor, Kenny, to be the companion of a Jinn. Now kiss me."

Unable to resist her, he kissed her like no time had ever passed for them.

Ah, Max, Quinn thought, smiling a bit. She does like that human of hers. If we didn't choose her to be a Jinn, she should have been my companion, she wasn't meant for this human life. I would have made her less stubborn and more accepting of her life with me, I like her feisty, a bit wild, but I would have made her devoted to me. Insatiable and loving...I do enjoy Max. "Mistress?"

"What did you do?"

He shrugged. "I've done much."

"To Kenny!" Kim cried. "He's gone!"

"Your husband left you?"

"You did this!"

He shook his head. "I returned him to you. If he chose to leave you, I had nothing to do with that."

"I wish him to come back to me."

And I cannot break the bond of Jinn and Companion, Quinn thought, Max bound him to her. "I cannot do that, Mistress."

"You're a genie. You have to grant my wish."

"I grant your wishes because it amuses me," Quinn said. "Your husband has been punished enough by you."

Kim stared at him. "Is he with her? Did you send him to her?"

"Her?"

"Max. He never got over Max."

Quinn sighed. "You took his feelings for her away and made him forget her."

"Is Max Kaitlyn?" Kim asked. "Did you turn her into that baby?"

Quinn smiled at that, remembering Max's delight over what she did to Jill Brock. How she laughed and kissed him, and embraced becoming a Jinn, as she began to shed the last of her humanity. "Wouldn't that be something?"

"Tell me."

He smiled and patted her head. "Good-bye, Mistress. I won't be returning to you."

"You like that?" Max smiled, stroking his cheek. "Did you miss me?"

He didn't take his eyes off her, Max, he thought, how...what is she? Where are we? She said she was a Jinn…

"Kenny?" she breathed, seeing his confusion.

He gulped, her being so close to him making his mind foggy. "Max...this is a lot. You're a...you said Jinn."

She sighed, as he combed through her hair, his fingers roaming her body. "Yes. I'm a Jinn, Kenny."

"But...that's not possible. Max, if someone...did someone brainwash you? That isn't….Look at you. You're so...gorgeous doesn't cut it. So young too."

"Because I'm a Jinn. Immortal now," she sighed. "And very real."

"How? Did...Did Kim do this? I know she did something to me."

Max shook her head. "No. Becoming a Jinn...they chose me. When Jinn chooses to die, they choose a replacement...and it was me."

"When? How?"

"The car accident," she said."She was a Jinn when she died, she gave me her magic...it changed me. I wanted to stay, to be both...I couldn't stay. The call is too strong and...I didn't want to leave you. Now we're together again. I'll never leave you."

"Like a genie?"

She smiled and shook her head. "Humans created genie lore. Jinn, Kenny, are different. You'll learn."

"Jinn."

She smiled at that. "And you're my companion. We're together again."

He nodded. "Wait...my kids."

She brushed her lips over his. "Do you want them with us?"

"What...what will happen to them here?"

"They'll be ours. Safe from her."

"Kaitlyn…"

She smiled, looking at an exhausted-looking Jimmy Brock. "I had to wait."

He smiled, looking at her, glad that his wife and children left. "I missed you."

"I heard the doctor. Your heart," Kaitlyn said, stroking his cheek. "I love you so much, Jimmy."

"I love you too, Kaitlyn."

Max, she thought, looking at the old man on the bed. She can fix this...make us both young, we can go off together...no, she's evil. She'll make it wrong and...I need to stop her. "You just need to rest."

He smiled, looking at the girl he used to think of as his daughter. "Don't go."

"I'll never leave you."

"Do you want your kids with us?" Max asked, letting her magic and power creep into her voice seeing his trepidation with her. "We could be a family, Kenny."

"What...Max?" he whispered, feeling his will weaken, as he looked at her. "Stop…"

She smiled at him, kissing him again. "We can have anything you want, Kenny."

I can't resist her, he thought, she's doing something to me...my Max. She's a genie, a Jinn...how can she be a Jinn? She told me how...look at her. I love her, I never stopped loving her. Even like this, this new her, Jinn. I missed her so much and she's...I love her. "I want you. I missed you."

"Even this new me?" she smiled. "You approve?"

He nodded, letting her magic wash over him. "I never stopped loving you. I'll love you forever, Max."

She smiled at that, unable to return his feelings. "We're going to be so happy."

Genie, Kaitlyn thought, there is nothing...nothing but stories. Nothing that tells me how she could possibly be a genie. Did she wish for it? I remember her before she was one...How? She seems to love being a genie.

"Kaitlyn?"

She looked up from her phone at her daughter. "Kim, are you okay?"

She shook her head. "It's them. They ruined my life...Kenny, my kids...oh, I can't...they'll do worse to me if we…"

Kaitlyn nodded. "I know. I knew what they were and…"

"We need to stop them."

Kaitlyn nodded. "We will."
