The next day Wesley was on his shift at the engineering with Geordi as usual.

They were fixing the computer up a little.

"It feels weird calling you Lieutenant Crusher now Wes." Geordi said.

"It feels a little weird to but it feels good to be back home." Wesley said smiling handing Geordi a screwdriver.

He and Kathryn were doing fine to.

He had shown her around and was doing fine.

"You'll get used to it again. At least you know where everything is." Geordi said standing up. "Now, let's see what will happen to this."

So he hit the on button.

"Let's hope this works, computer, dim the lights a little." Wesley said.

Then the lights got a little dim.

"Alright, computer, put the lights back to normal." Geordi said.

Then the lights went back to normal.

They played around with it for an hour and it was back to normal.

"Alright, I'm on my lunch break then the Main Bridge so I'll go tell Captain it's back to normal." Wesley said smiling.

"Alright, see you later Wes. If I need help with anything I'll let you know!" Geordi said.

Then Wesley headed to the bridge.

When he got there he saw Picard sitting on his chair and his seatbelt on.

"Captain?" he said.

"En- Lieutenant Crusher, what are you doing here? It's your lunch break. You won't be here for an hour." Riker said.

"Number one, he probably just has something to say. Go ahead Lieutenant." Picard said.

"We got the computer back to normal sir."

"Excellent. Thank you Lieutenant Crusher. Enjoy your lunch break and I'll see you later."

"Yes sir."

So he headed to Ten Forward and had some lunch with Kathryn.

"How's your day going?" he asked.

"Mines doing fine, you?" she asked.

"Good. Feels weird being called Lieutenant Crusher instead of Ensign Crusher or Mr. Crusher now. But it feels, good at the same time."

"Good. And after what you've done for them all for six years you deserve more respect and such."

"Yeah, I've been here for seven years. Even though I was at the Academy I was still with them. It really does feel like a family."

An hour later it was time for work again.

"Alright, I have the bridge next in five minutes so I'll see you later." Wesley said.

"See you later." Kathryn said.

Then they gave each other a kiss and split up.

When he got to the bridge he sat down next to Data as usual and set everything up.

"Lieutenant Crusher, warp 19." Picard said.

"Aye sir." Wesley said smiling and set it up.

"Engage."

Then he hit the button and they were off.
