"It's not fair!"
"I know it isn't, KITT."
"How could Michael go on vacation without me!?"
"He couldn't take you, KITT. Besides, you won't be lonely, you have me. Plus, I'm bringing my niece here, today."
"You have a niece?"
"Yes. I think you two will have a lot of fun."
"If you say so, Bonnie."
Later that day, Bonnie walked in with a 9-year-old girl. She had brown hair and brown eyes, with skin similar to that of Bonnie's.
"Okay, Chloe, this is KITT."
"KITT? That's a funny name for a horse." Chloe giggled.
"He's more than just a horse. Why don't you play with him for a while?"
"What does he like to play?" Chloe asked.
"Hmm….how about you two play hide and seek?"
"But he's too big to hide."
"So he'll seek." Bonnie smiled. "I'll let you two play. Have fun!" Bonnie went inside.
"Hmm….so...you'll seek?"
KITT nodded, then turned around.
"Yay!" Chloe ran off and hid in the field. She hid in the tall grass, giggling to herself. A few minutes later, she heard KITT getting closer, so she decided to sneak away. But in a matter of seconds, she felt something tap her back.
"I found you."
Chloe gasped and turned around. "You can talk!?"
"Of course. Now, do you want to play again?"
"Yeah!"
They played for hours. It went from hide and seek to tag. KITT of course slowed down to give her a chance and then let her win. Eventually, they both just laid in the grass.
"You're so much fun, KITT!"
"You're also a lot of fun. Speaking of fun, how about we go for a ride?"
"But I don't know how to ride a horse."
"I can help you. Follow me." KITT led Chloe back in the stable. He instructed her on how to put his equipment on him. He made sure to be very patient with her. Then, once she put on a helmet, he kneeled, well, in a horse way, kneeled down so she could get on.
"Ready?"
"Yeah!"
KITT rode with her all along the large fields. He didn't go too fast, given how inexperienced and young she was. Bonnie walked out to check on them.
"Well, what's going on here?"
"I thought a little horseback riding would be fun for Chloe."
"Awww! KITT! Hang on, let me get my camera!" Bonnie ran inside to find her camera. She came back, then took a picture of the two.
"Her mother is going to love this!" Bonnie went back inside. After another hour of horseback riding, KITT noticed Chloe was starting to yawn. He took her back to the stable, helped her get all the equipment off, and then once she took off her helmet, he put it away.
"Here, Chloe, why don't you lean up against me?" KITT laid down and had a blanket in his mouth. Chloe leaned up against his side, and then he put the blanket on her. He started to hum a lullaby, and within minutes, Chloe was out like a light.
"Awww….I can really see why people like children. They're so sweet."
Not long afterward, Bonnie came back.
"Chloe! It's time to-"
"Shhhh! She's sleeping!" KITT whispered.
"Oh! Sorry….did you two have fun?" Bonnie asked.
"Yes. She's an angel, Bonnie. A perfect angel."
"Awww….Chloe...Chloe...it's time to get up."
"Huh?" Chloe yawned and rubbed her eyes.
"It's time to go, sweetie."
"Awww….." Chloe frowned. She then got up, as did KITT. Then, she hugged him. "Bye KITT."
KITT lowered his head and nuzzled her, and put his right front leg around her. "Goodbye, Chloe."
"Will I get to see you again?"
"I'm sure we will." KITT lifted his head and removed his leg. "Farewell, sweetheart."
Bonnie took Chloe home.
The next day, Bonnie went to the stable.
"KITT?"
"Yes, Bonnie?"
"Thank you for playing with Chloe. You're such a sweetheart for doing that."
"I didn't mind, I love children."
"Then you wouldn't mind her coming back in 2 weeks?"
"I would love that!"
"Great! And, again, thank you for yesterday." She kissed him on his head.
"Oh!….um...your welcome, Bonnie." He watched her go back inside. The moment she was out of sight, KITT did the horse equivalent of a goofy grin.
A/N: Yup! I gave Bonnie a niece! She might even become a recurring character! I don't know if Bonnie had any siblings, nieces, or nephews, but I wanted to give her a niece, so now she has one!
