People turned to look at Harry, Reporters started asking him questions, while Ron, Hermione and Kingsley tried to keep everyone away from Harry, as for Harry he stared at the three words in shock his first thought was Why does these things always happen to me?

"SILENCE" The hat shouted. It took a couple of minutes but at the end everyone calmed down.

"Headmaster Potter if you'll please come here"

Ron pushed Harry forward so Harry had no option but to keep walking towards the headmaster's chair, he could feel Ron and Hermione walking behind him, supporting him as they had always done and that was reassuring.

As he reached the chair Fawks flew to him, put the hat on his head and stood on his shoulder.

"By Lady Hogwarts will, the headmaster is Harry Potter, Lord of House Potter and House Black, The Vanquisher of Voldemort. From now on all living and non- living things on Hogwarts ground answer only to him and Lady Hogwarts"

All through this Harry had two thoughts in his mind, Why does it have to be me? And I should have wore better clothes, after all he didn't think he looked like a headmaster in his torn jeans and t-shirt .

A minute of silence was interrupted by Hermione who asked "So what happens now? "

Harry smiled, Hermione didn't care what was happening, she wanted answers to her questions.

"Well now Headmaster Potter has to fix the school, choose the subjects that are to be taught in his school, hire teachers, and a lot of other things."

"But how will he fix the school?"

"Well of course with the help of Lady Hogwarts. Headmaster Potter if you will ask her to fix everything "

Harry nodded and asked hesitantly "Lady Hogwarts? Will you please fix everything broken in Hogwarts? "

Everyone waited and suddenly between one blink and the other everything was back to normal, the broken walls weren't broken anymore, and even Harry's jeans were fixed.

Harry felt his eyes water, this was what he had wished for before entering the castle, for Hogwarts to go back to the home He once knew and now that process has started.

"Now, Thank you for coming but the headmaster has work to do so everyone else you should look forward to seeing Hogwarts in all her glory on September First." The hat said and for some reason nobody argued, everyone left the great hall and headed to the grounds.

Harry turned to look at Hermione and Ron and asked "Am I dreaming?"

Ron smiled "I have no idea how you manage to always be the center of attention"

"Believe me, I don't either" Harry sighed.

"You have a great responsibility now Harry, you know we're here to help you." Hermione said

Harry smiled gratefully then asked "Why does everyone just believe the hat? I mean it's just a hat. "

Here the hat protested "Pardon me! I'm a magical hat that was Godric Gryfindor's, you can find no hat better than me. Now if you don't mind you have work to do. Elves"

About a hundred house elves appeared in front of Harry , and one of them who appeared to be older than the others stepped closer to Harry and bowed "Headmaster Potter,Sir, I am Vanky the head house elf in Hogwarts, we are promising you to obey you and take care of Hogwarts"

Harry was a lot at a loss of what to say "Thank you Vanky".

Apparently satisfied ,the house elves disappeared.

"Harry you have to make them wear some clothes" Hermione said, and behind her Ron was rolling his eyes.

"Okay Hermione," He thought for a bit then suggested "How about you write everything you want me to do somewhere and tell me about them later? You too Ron"

Hermione nodded then shook her head "But I don't have anything to write with"

Here Ron laughed "Are you a witch or not Hermione?" They stared at him before laughing too.

"Yes of course. Vanky" With a pop Vanky reappeared

"Yes Miss Granger? "

"Please bring three notepads and three pens"

Armed with papers and pens they moved on to the next thing.

"Before the start of School you should talk to all living creatures on the Hogwarts grounds and either get rid of dangerous ones or put some spells to prevent students from entering the forbidden forest" The hat told Harry " And like I said before, you have to choose the subjects, after all the subjects that are taught here are nothing compared to the ones that were taught before. After that you have to hire teachers, that's all I'm going to tell you now, if you need help or have a question ask me"

"Okay. Now I guess we should first head to the headmaster's office? " Harry said

After Ron and Hermione nodded they walked there.

During their walk they noticed how everything was fixed and how the house elves were cleaning the castle. And of course they tried to ignore the bad memories they had in these corridors.

When they reached the gargoyle it said "Welcome to your office Headmaster, what would you like the password to be?"

Harry thought for a minute then answered with a smile on his face "Teddy", the gargoyle nodded and opened.

"That's a great password " Ron commented. "When was the last time you saw him?"

Harry smiled remembering his godson " At the Lupin's funeral . I should go and see him soon, and talk to about him"

Harry took a deep breath before opening the door to the office, he saw the large circular room with the paintings of the old headmasters and headmistress on the walls, behind the desk was the portrait of Albus Dumbledore . Other than the desk there were some bookcases filled with books ,a mirror, two chairs, the shelf where the sorting hat usually sat, and of course Fawkes's golden perch. There was nothing else, Snape's things must have been moved away, and the office is waiting for the new headmaster to decorate it.

As Harry entered he heard the old headmasters and headmistress say many things

"Welcome New headmaster"

"You have a great responsibility now "

"Lady Hogwarts chose you, what a great honour"

Harry walked to the chair behind the desk, paused a little and sat down. Once he sat down Fawkes flew to his perch and sat there watching Harry.

"It feels weird, sitting here" He told Ron and Hermione who sat down on the other side of the desk.

"Yeah it makes me feel you're going to give me detention" Ron said

"I would never, that's the teachers job. I'm the headmaster " he said jokingly then sighted and repeated "I'm the headmaster."

Ron and Hermione shared a look before Ron said "You'll do great Harry… probably"

Hermione slapped him on the hand after the last word "You can do it Harry and we are here to help you"

"But it's so stupid, i'm just seventeen and I didn't do too well in School and i still have to take my N. E. W. T's. There is no way I'm the best possible headmaster" Harry ranted.

"I agree with you Harry, but you were chosen and now you don't have an option except to do the best you can" Hermione said

"And at least you don't have to battle another dark lord" Added Ron jokingly

Harry looked at him with dead eyes "No, I just have to deal with mini Death Eaters and young children who have ptsd? How great is that?"

Ron sighed "I told you it was a bad thing to release Malfoy and the others but you didn't agree"

"We had to let them go, it doesn't matter what they did, they were underage. They deserve a chance to change. And all the marked Death Eaters are in Azkaban" Hermione argued "But.. Harry you should plan how you want to deal with them, and how other students should too"

Harry nodded and massaged between his eyes "I have a lot of things to do and only about four months to do them"

"Well I for one know that You'll make the school great and can't wait to see that change on September First" Hermione said

"I can't believe I'm going to be the headmaster When you two and Neville and Ginny and Malfoy and everyone else are my students" Harry said

Ron grimaced "You can thank Kingsley for that, having the seventh years repeat thier last year"

Hermione bit her lips a little before saying "There's a thing Harry, you can't be biased to Griffyndor over the other houses and even between the students," With a pointed look to Ron she continued "We're your friends and won't let you be biased to us, but others won't believe that and there's Ginny"

Harry sighed again "I guess it's a good thing Ginny and I didn't talk about that yet."

Ron frowned "She won't like that" then seeing Harry's expresion he added "And what's all that about being Lord Potter, Lord Black AND Vanquisher of Voldemort? I was surprised When the hat called you al these things"

Harry shrugged and both of them looked at Hermione who sighted and asked "How am i supposed to know? Do you think I know everything?"

Harry and Ron decided not to answer.

Hermione stood up "Come on, let's go back". The Others nodded and stood up, then one of the portraits said "The headmaster could stay here, in his quarters"

Harry stared at the portrait surprised "Yeah I guess I can! " He looked at Ron and Hermione unsure what to do "I guess I'll stay here today" He finally decided.

Hermione hugged him "You'll be alright You'll see" And Harry smiled at her confidence in him

Him and Ron clasped hands "Come around soon so mom can see you, and you know, to talk to Ginny".

Harry nodded "I will".

He stood There and watched them leave his office, When he heard the voice he had been dreading from behind him.

"Harry my boy"
