Chapter 15

As Blue and her new rider sat on the hill, Toothless and Hiccup sat at the bottom to keep an eye on them. Everything was peaceful and quiet when, suddenly, Blue took off with the boy without any warning. The sudden scream of the boy was the thing that alerted Hiccup that something was up.

"Oh no, where is she going, TOOTHLESS, we have to follow" Hiccup panicked and before he knew it he and toothless was in the air, following them. Amazingly it was hard to follow them even though Blue was flying in a straight line. She was so fast it was hard for Toothless to follow. They were flying straight for a very long time and then, just as suddenly as she had taken off, she plunged. Straight down, startling the boy in her grasp and causing him to scream yet again.

"Watch out bud, don't loose her" Hiccup said as he beckoned toothless to follow the steep dive. They followed closely and as Blue started to level out so did Toothless. Without the roaring wind in his eyes, Hiccup could se where they were, Blue was on her way to where they found her.

Blue got there faster than Toothless and Hiccup so when the duo arrived they saw a terrified young boy pinned to the ground by a furious night fury. As soon as Toothless had landed Hiccup was of him and trying to calm Blue down.

"Hey hey hey, calm down girl" Hiccup tried "Whatever he did I'm sure he does not deserve to die for it" he continued, but Blue did not let up on her snarl and proceeded to push Hiccup away from them with her tail, making Toothless growl quietly. Blue instantly looked to Toothless and snarled at him and Toothless snarled back. Blue got off the boy and spun her body to face Toothless, she was poised, ready to pounce. Toothless took the same stance as Blue started walking around him.

Hiccup saw his chance when Blue left the boys side and rushed to grab him and run away to a safe place away from the angry dragon that was now circling Toothless.

"What happened" Hiccup asked as he stopped a safe distance away. The boy did not answer, he just looked toward the dragons with a relaxed expression on his face. Hiccup took the boy by his shoulders and turned him roughly towards him.

"What happened!" Hiccup asked again as he stared into the boys eyes

"It seems I insulted her in some way" He said with no trace of emotion in his tone of voice

"What's the matter with you?" Hiccup asked. The boy just looked at him, removed Hiccups hands from his shoulders and started walking towards the dragons. Blue was still showing teeth and walking in a circle around Toothless as she saw the boy walking closer. She stopped when Toothless was between them and just looked at the boy.

"This place is too crowded to talk, take me somewhere we can talk in peace Miko" the boy said, confusing both Hiccup and Toothless. Seeing her chance when Toothless was distracted Blue pounced, pushing Toothless to the ground with her entire bodyweight, grabbed the boy and flew off again.

Hiccup ran up to Toothless to check if he was okay and when he was sure his friend was fine, he looked to the air where Blue had disappeared and saw no trace of her. Scratching his head, he decided to return to the village and set up a few scouts to keep an eye on the horizon for Blue and her rider.
