Chapter 1:Angry With Myself
Yugi was sitting in the backseat of a moving truck with his friends. He held a golden box that once held the Milliennium Puzzle. It now withheld the deck that Atem had used.
Atem...
Yugi had thought back to all the crazy adventures that they went on.
The fight with Peagasus.
The duel with Marik.
Noah's virtual reality.
Tbe seal of Oricalcos.
And the biggest one of them all, The Pharaoh's Memories.
But with these memories came a great sadness to Yugi.
How many times his friends got hurt.
How many times they nearly died.
How many times people went after them.
How many times his partner fought for him.
How many times they risked their lives.
It all became too much for Yugi to bare. That when Joey asked him what was wrong, Yugi yelled at him while letting out all his frustration in the process.
When the truck came to a stop at the hotel that they were staying at, Yugi jumped out and threw the box into the hot desert sand. The cards flew out everywhere. Yugi took deep breaths to calm himself down.
As soon as he did, he collected all he cards that were thrown out of the box and put them back in. After he was done, Yugi went into the hotel without saying a word to anybody.
Everyone believed it was due to losing Atem. Tea went inside while Tristan went after her telling her to give Yugi some space.
Joey looked around outside before shrugging his shoulders and going inside.
Not noticing a girl trying to get his attention.

5 months later...
Yugi was in his bedroom looking at the box again. He ran his thumb over the eye piece as he signed sadly. He hen threw the box at the wall, yet again spilling he cards all over the place.
He then got up and went to go pick them up. While doing so, he made sure to have all the cards in the deck. Their was Celtic Guardian, Dark Magician Girl, and...
Wait... where was Dark Magician?
Yugi looked back through the box and the entire deck to see if he misplaced the card. He then got frantic as he couldn't find the card and began searching his entire room for it. With no luck.
Yugi grabbed his head in worry as his tried to remember where he had left the Dark Magician at.
He tried to think when he ended up drawing a blank.
Yugi then went downstairs to ask his grandpa about said card. Only to find that someone had come in with a note telling him about the whereabouts of the Dark Magician.
When he asked about what the person looked like, his grandpa told him that they looked like a reincarnation of the Dark Magician himself.
That puzzled Yugi... alot.
Yugi grabbed the note and read it. It said: 'Meet me at Domino High during night fall. Your Dark Magician will be waiting for you.'
This confused Yugi by what the note said, but he decided to wait until night fall none the less.
When nighttime came, he set out to Domino High to reclaim the Dark Magician. However, when he got close to an open clearing. He tripped and fell.
And that's when someone came down from the tree in front of him.
Yugi got up and yelled at the person. "Who are you and what have you done to my Dark Magician?"
The person was silent for a moment before they replied. "My name is Boogiepop and it's not what I have done. It's what you have done to the Dark Magician." The feminine-masculine voice told him.
"What do you mean what i did to him? Your the one that stole him!" Yugi told them.
"How did I steal him when your the one who threw him out to begin with?" Boogiepop asked him.
Yugi then got confused as well as more angry. "What do you mean I threw him out?! He belongs to me and you stole him!" Yugi lashed out.
"You say that now after not knowing that he was missing for 5 months. He has every right to be upset with you as he is." At this, Yugi was stunned quiet.
"Wait, your telling me that he's been gone for 5 months and I haven't noticed until now?" With this realization, Boogiepop nods in response.
"My alter ego was nearby when it occurred. She tried getting you and your friends attention, but to no avail. She then decided to take him home with her. In which his response was that he wanted to protect her where he had failed to protect you. And this..." they gesture to themself. "...is a result of your abandonment towards him." They finished.
"What do you mean my abandonment to him? I never lost him once. I still had him and you stole him!" Yugi yelled at Boogiepop.
"Then perhaps you need a reminder of what you did to him." Boogiepop said.
With this, another person came down from the tree. Landing next to Boogiepop. And with a flick of their wrist, a light was turned on somewhere. Making Yugi gasp as he saw who it was.
It was a teenage girl, along with his Dark Magician.
"Mahado? Is that really you?" Yugi asked the taller male. But Dark Magician gave no reply. Instead his gaze was cast in shadows as Boogiepop looked at Yugi in a bit of a daze.
"Mahado... I haven't heard anyone call me that in I don't know how long." Boogiepop replied sounding more masculine than usual.
"You know his name?" Yugi asked them. "That is my name." Was Boogiepop's reply.
"What are you talking about? That isn't your name, your lying! Your just using him against me! Mahado come on, let's go home and forget this crazy person and their nonsense!" Yugi told Dark Magician.
But Dark Magician made no motion of movement.
Boogiepop took hold of his shoulder and he finally moved to turn to look at her.
With this, Yugi got angry and walked up to Dark Magician, grabbing his hand and yanking him towards himself. "That's enough Mahado! We are going right no-" Yugi was cut off as he felt a sharp sting on his cheek.
Dark Magician had slapped him.
Yugi was stunned speechless as Dark Magician yanked his hand free from Yugi's. He then took Yugi by the shirt and held him up in the air to where they were eye level with each other.
"Why would you want me to come back to you when your the one who threw me out in the desert sand that day when Atem left?" Dark Magician finally said.
Yugi was shock silent as he thought back to that day. He then hung his head in shame. "I was angry with myself. Angry with myself because of everything that happened to you and the others. I don't know what came over me that day, but I didn't know it was gonna hurt you." Yugi admitted.
"Then maybe you should have checked to make sure you had everything before leaving like you did earlier when you threw it at the wall." Dark Magician dropped Yugi and the smaller boy landed on his butt.
Yugi looked up as Dark Magician turned and left him, returning to Boogiepop's side. They both looked at each other before Boogiepop turned his back on Yugi as well. With this they both started to walk away from him.
Yugi got up to follow them, only for a harsh jolt of pain to go threw him, making him fall back down to his knees. When Yugi looked up, he saw that Dark Magician had his hand outstretched to him. Letting him come to the conclusion that he's the one who sent the attack.
Seeing this, Dark Magician thrust out his hand again. And another wave of dark magic shot threw Yugi, making him cry out in pain. A few more jolts of pain later, Yugi was knocked out unconscious.
...
A few hours later...
Yugi woke up in his bedroom and sat up slowly. His body ached and he remembered that Dark Magician had attacked him.
But... how did he get back into his room?
'Then maybe you should have checked to make sure you had everything before leaving like you did earlier.' Dark Magician's words rung in his ears.
Yugi went over to his desk where the box was at and went threw it, making sure he had everything. He hoped he had him.
He did. But something felt off.
He felt as if he left him somehow.
But... how?
Meanwhile, someone was looking threw his window at him. Before leaving without a trace.
