Chapter 2
Himari tried to move out of the branches, but she couldn't! She was done for. Her mother wouldn't be disappointed, just sad. Himari started to cry. She knew that they were poor, and the reason Himari's mother wanted her to become a hero was so that they could be rich again.
Before their father left them, they were rich, and powerful. Their father was a pro hero, but instead of being nice and caring towards his family, he abused them. He used them for power, using her mother's quirk for his own. But he eventually left, and moved on. Himari's mom got a job, and they were living okay for the past 12 years. But she was bullied at school for being weak and not having a quirk.
But Himari used all that bottled up rage and let it flow. She felt a burning sensation in her hands, and to her surprise, kamui let her go!
When she looked down, she saw fire in her hands! She finally had the upper hand! She charged kamui knowing that his weakness is fire types! Kamui, knowing this, decided to try and run, but Himari sealed it off with her fire. She threw out a flaming punch, and lit Kamui's suit on fire! She aimed a kick at his feet, but instead of being on fire, her foot hardened into metal! Her kick made a crack onto Kamui's ankle and he went down.
"W-what the hell are you?" Woods asked.
"I Have no idea." Himari said. "But you probably dont want to know."
A ten points for Himari appeared on a screen near her. WIth her newfound quirks, she set out into the street, half of her body flaming hot, the other half hard as metal.
She almost immediately spotted another hero out in the streets. She identified her as Rumi Usagiyama, the rabbit hero.
Almost as nearly as fast as Himari had seen her, Rumi jumped into the air with surprisingly good leap. Himari had noticed that she had seen her blaze, but maybe not her metal. As she leaped, Himari put all her strength into one punch… and let it rip. The blast was so strong, it was impossible that the metal had done something like that.
But there was no time to gwak at the power. She ran, and while she did, she saw a billboard that said +15 points for Himari.
"15? She thought. Why fifteen?"
That put her up to a total of 25.
She hid in an alleyway, trying to think about all of this. When had this happened? She had heard of a quirk that could steal others quirks, but that was impossible. Then again, she had never been in any real danger, unless you count her father. Then she realized, every time someone had bullied her, she had made contact with them somehow, and always wished that their quirks were gone, and she had all of theirs.
Thats when she realized, she could steal others quirks. In fact, when she made contact with the pros, she had probably taken their powers too. But she had only made contact with Rumi. That meant that she had to get to her body and give her back her quirk.
A voice came over the loud speaker "Thirty Minutes left ladies and gentlemen."
Himari knew that she was unbeatable. She strode out into the street, only to be met by THREE PRO HEROS.
However, she just smiled. She just looked at the pro's, sizing them up. With just one burst of flame, she took out two of them. This put her up to 45 points, but the last one looked like a water hero. She hardened her right side, and rushed the hero.
But the hero was too swift. He took her wrist and flipped her over.
"Damn" she said, wiping the blood from her face. "Why can he predict my moves?"
That's when another quirk activated. A black hole opened up out of her finger, and it sucked in the hero. That put her up to 55 points, and have there being three other student battling those heroes, she got 15 rescue points. That put her up to a total of 70 points.
"5 minutes left" The announcer announced. She began making her way back to the room. The students all gwaked at Himari, but she just tuned them out. After the entrance exam, they were told to get their stuff and leave. They would be notified within a week if they made it.
ONE WEEK LATER
Himari was in her room, testing out some of her powers, when her mother burst into her room.
"HONEY! THE LETTER CAME! ITS FROM SHIKETSU!" Her mom said.
"What? I didn't expect-"
"Just open it!"
When she opened it, this is what was in the letter.
Dear Himari Yamamoto,
Congratulations on passing the entrance exam with 65 points.
You placed second only next to the first place applicant, who
received 78 points. Classes will begin at 8:45 am on
Tuesday, April 25. We hope to see you there!

Himari was dumbfounded at the fact that she had made it in. She thought that everybody else would have placed so much higher than her. But the fact that classes began in a couple of weeks, that did not give her time to prepare at all…
