Chapter 3
Before this chapter begins, I just want to say that I'm sorry for getting her points wrong. She got 70 points, but the letter said that she got 65. I am sorry about this confusion.
It was finally happening. Himari Yamamoto was going to become a pro hero. She hadn't told her mother about her newfound power, because she was afraid that she would lock her up for being a freak.
She was wondering what happened to Camie. Had she passed or not? Himari was still very unsure as to if she should call her a friend. Back in middle school, she had some friends, but they all turned their backs on her eveantully.
Then she thought of the boy she had seen on the news earlier that week. She wondered if he had a quirk.
But she had to go to bed tomorrow was her first day of school.
As she boarded the bus, she checked her phone.
"Oh… the results from U.A are out." She said
She was shocked to see that Izuku Midoria was there. She thought that he was quirkless.
The bus suddenly stopped, and the windows went black. A few people screamed, and a baby began to cry. The doors were thrown open, and in walked a man in a suit. Himari recogonized the man immediately. It was her father.
Her father had gone down the villain route after leaving his family. They had not heard from him since. He made his way down the bus and stopped in front of Himari.
"You made it into Shiketsu." He said
"And you abandoned me and mother." She shot back.
Himari saw sparks in his eyes. She knew that he wouldn't blow up an entire bus, but she also knew that it was not out of the question. But then he did something she did not expect. He gave her a hug.
"Where does your mom live?" He asked
"Why should I tell you?"
"Just tell me, damnit! I want to make it up to her!"
"Fine. 4327 Mew lane."
Her father left the bus, attempting to find her. When Himari got off the bus, she smiled to herself. She had not given her father her address, she had given him the witness protection program's base address. Being on of the #1 most wanted villains, they would take him into custody right away.
Nearly right after she got off the bus, she heard a bubbly voice behind her.
"Oh hello Himari!" Camie said.
"How'd you recognize me? My back was turned."
"I remember people easily. Hey, what's your first class?" Camie said.
" Homeroom, duh."
"With who?"
"Mrs. Joke." Himari said.
"Hey me too!" said Camie. "Lets walk there together."
As they entered the classroom, a woman was already making the class laugh. As Camie and Himari walked in, they too began laughing uncontrollably.
"And what did the moose say?" asked Mrs. Joke
The other classmates couldn't respond, being wrapped up laughing.
"Why aren't there any meese!" Said Mrs. Joke, and everybody continued laughing.
But the laughter suddenly died down.
"Alright everybody, take your seats." Mrs. Joke said. "Welcome to Shiketsu High School. Here you will learn about valuing their obligation as heroes as well as maintaining their dignity at all times. So, without further delay, let me explain what we're doing today! You will be competing in head to head battles against your classmates."
"What!" Himari whispered, "Already?"
The thought of having a battle on the first day was weird, especially since practically nobody had any training.
"How will we decide the fights?" asked Seiji Shishikura
Mrs. Joke said "We'll draw lots."
A couple of minutes passed before they went out to the battlefield. It was a huge arena, almost like the entrance exam. Except this time it was in a closed area. That's when Himari found out who she ws battling. Inasa.
She was worried for sure. Inasa was extremly strong, especially in closequarter combat. That meant she would have to keep running. Over the past week, she had developed a quirk that would allow her to shoot bolts of lightning out of her hands and propel her forward. If she could use this with her fire quirk, it might be fine.
When she stepped into the street, or the closed off area to begin the fight. They were both wearing their gym uniform, so it should be very fair.
Mrs. Joke began the countdown. "3… 2… 1…, BEGIN!"
Inasa began with a forward attack, attempting to trap her in the tornado. But Himari was too quick. She doged it, but her arm got caught in it. She tried to pull it out, but instead, her arm sleve and part of the cloth on her torso ripped off! She had a tank top on under it though, and without Inasa seeing, she ducked into a little coffe shop.
"I need to think of a plan. What if I tried a sneak attack?"
She decided on that. She bust out of the back of the coffe shop, and was suddenly hit with a problem. How was she supposed to surprise Inasa when she could only stay on the ground?
She then looked at her hands, then at the wall. She put her hands to the wall, and jumped. To her surprise, she was sprung up into the air, and ontop of the building. She could see Inasa out in the streets. He was waiting for this to be over with, as he was on the villain team, so the time running out naturally resulted in Himari winning. She had to attack him quick. So, she stood on the ledge, and summoned the lightning power. And then she jumped off the edge.
