A/N: Thank you so much for all the read, fans, comments, everything. The comments are much appreciated and keep me motivated to write faster and upload more. For the story purposes Wendy will be 16 and Romeo will be 17. Normally they would be 6 years younger than the other couples but for this story they will be just a few years younger. Gajeel and Natsu are going to be 21, Laxus and Erik will still be 26 and Mira and Kinana will be 22; Levy and Lucy will be 19. I got several ideas for each pairing I'm excite to get down on paper to see how to incorporate into this story. Plus I do have the side ships I would like to mention at one point either during the season or after not sure how I will do so yet but that is in the works as well. Once again thank you so much for the love this story is getting. Please enjoy the new chapter! Love all you beautiful souls~
~Wendy & Romeo~
Macao and Wakaba escorted the two teen mages through the guild and towards their secluded cabin. The two teens walked hand in hand into the woods. Macao and Wakaba slowed their pace standing on each side of the young couple. Macao wrapped his arm around his young son.
"So kids, I know that Wendy has been on her own before with Carla I just want you to know that I will still be on the property. I will leave you guys alone, but I will be there just to keep an eye on you guys and if you need anything." Macao said smiling at the blushing faces of the two teens. Wendy nodded to the older man and quickly looked at the ground. Romeo rolled his eyes at his dad but nodded pulling Wendy a little closer to him. Wakaba smiled at the young love blossoming between the two mages knowing that this will be good for the two of them to be able to bond outside of the chaos of the guild and the members.
"Okay Dad. I mean we would be fine just us." Romeo said as the cabin came into view. Macao gripped Romeo's shoulder as the group stopped outside barrier for the cabin.
"Hey Wendy, Wakaba can you go ahead? I wanna talk with Romeo for a moment alone okay?" Macao asked as the other two nodded. Romeo pecked Wendy's cheek causing her face to turn pink as she followed Wakaba to the house. Romeo watched as his mate walked into the cabin and his father's best friend sat outside on the steps before turning around to his father.
"Yeah Dad?" Romeo asked cautiously.
"Do you love Wendy?" Macao asked straight out. Romeo stared at his father as his jaw dropped. He quickly closed his mouth and looked at the ground.
"Yeah… I do." Romeo whispered. His dad smiled at him and nodded.
"Good. You know how serious this mating thing is correct? I just don't want you to feel pressured or anything about this. Have you told her about your feelings for her?" Macao said serious once again causing Romeo to look up at him with a fire in his eyes.
"Trust me Dad I know how serious this is. I do love her. I know we are young and all that but I truly do see my future with her. I know that sounds pretty silly coming from a 17 year old but with all that we have gone through as individuals and as a guild together, we had to mature quickly. Plus we won't… mate… per say because we are too young. But don't worry. I know what this means. But I haven't gotten a real chance to tell her. She's always on jobs with team Natsu but I plan to now that they gives me an opportunity." Romeo stated standing tall causing pride to swell in his father's heart.
"Okay good. I don't think it's silly by the way. I was young when I met and fell in love with your mom. I do believe that I was your age and she was 16 like Wendy is too. So I understand and you are right you both are mature beyond your years, but you still are just young teens. Even if you don't mate and you both decide to mark that still is very serious. You both need to sit down and talk about that as well." Macao stated with a serious tone and nodded looking at the cabin then back at his son with a smile. "Now don't do anything I wouldn't do." Macao laughed as he turned and walked the rest of the way to the cabin to meet up with his best friend. "Now go on in Romeo your girl is waiting for you. Only Wakaba and I will be able to come in and out once the barrier is up and I have a cabin a few minutes away. If you or Wendy need anything give me a shout. Tell Wendy I said bye and I will see you all soon." Macao said nodding to Wakaba after hugging his son and walking back towards the guild. Wakaba got up patting Romeo on the shoulder following his best friend back to their guild. Romeo smiled and shook his head and walked up the stairs and into the cabin shutting the door behind him.
"Wendy?" Romeo called out as he looked around the room the Romeo entered was the living room. He looked around the simple room, a black plush microfiber couch with a matching arm chair facing a TV stand that housed a large TV and gaming system. The bookcase was split with books and movies.
"In here!" Wendy called through the next room. Romeo smiled as the soft voice walking through the swinging door that separated the living room and the next. Romeo followed the voice dropping their bags outside the door before entering and smiling as Wendy pulled food out of the fridge.
"Hey." Romeo smiled at the bluenette dragon slayer. She smiled back and went back to pulling out more food.
"Hey… I figured I would make some food since we didn't get to eat dinner at the guild since we left so early. I figured something quick like burgers and a salad?" Wendy offered. Romeo nodded and walked over to her.
"Anything I can help with?" Romeo asked looking at all the ingredients in front of them. Wendy smiled and shook her head.
"No if you want you can go take a shower and wash up and I should be done by then." Wendy offered as she started forming the patties. Romeo nodded and walked back into the living room. He turned to the stairs and jogged up them grabbing the bags walking up the stairs. He walked to the door at the end of the hallway looking into it smiling seeing that his guess was correct that the master bedroom and bath would be at the end of the hallway. He dropped their bags on the bed and walked into the master bathroom quickly turning the water on as hot it would get. He quickly stripped and walked into the steaming water. The water ran over his head as his thoughts started running around.
"I need to tell her, but how?" Romeo thought as resting his forehead against the cool tiles. "Confessing seems to be a big deal with girls. I mean we are mates so she must know that my feels are mutual right? I mean we never talked about it before… but I mean we hold hands and watch movies all the time together…" Romeo sighed as he quickly washed his hair and his body. The water started getting cold and he rinsed himself off. Wrapping one of the towels around his waist and used the other one drying his hair. He looked around for his clothes remembering he didn't bring his bag into the bathroom. Sighing he walked into the bedroom continuing to dry his hair when he heard a squeak at the doorway. His head snapped up at the sound with wide eyes mirroring Wendy's shocked face. She quickly turned around with a bright red face covering her eyes.
"Sorry! You were gone so long I was getting worried about you! But, uhm dinner is ready! I'll be downstairs when you are ready!" Wendy quickly spoke as she shut the door and ran down the stairs back to the safety of the kitchen. Romeo stared at the door with a blush that covered his face down to his chest. He shook his head and slipped into a pair of sweatpants and a tank top. He walked down the stairs and entered the kitchen taking a seat next to the still blushing dragon slayer.
Romeo looked around at the food laid out on the set table in front of him and smiled. "This looks great Wendy!" He quickly dressed his cheeseburger and salad digging into he food. He moaned as the flavors hit his taste buds. Wendy smiled as she started to eat along with him.
The two finished their food quickly and Romeo cleaned up the plates and dishes while Wendy put the salad and the left over burgers away in the fridge. Once the food was put away and the dishes were done it had gotten quite late out. "Why don't you go take a shower and get ready for bed and we can watch a movie tonight, whatcha think?" Romeo suggested. Wendy beamed at the man in front of her and nodded rushing up the stair. Romeo chuckled at the slayers enthusiasm. He walked wiped down the counters, stove, and table as Wendy showered. Tossing the sponge in the sink Romeo grabbed two sodas for them leaving the kitchen turning out the lights. He set the cans on the coffee table walking over to the bookcase that held the movies. Romeo looked over the movies and smiled finding a movie he believed Wendy would enjoy. He quickly popped the disc in the gaming system turning the system and the TV on. He moved to the couch and grabbed the gray throw that was on the chair before sitting down. Once the movie was ready to start he heard the stairs creak and he looked back smiling at the blue haired mage coming down the stairs. Wendy got to the first level and walked around the couch to sit next to Romeo. Romeo blushed noticing the deep purple plush sleep shorts and a black slightly oversized t-shirt that looked familiar to him. Looking closer at the shirt Romeo blush grew recognizing it was one that he let her borrow before when Carla and her stayed over too late watching movies and didn't have any pajamas. He studied her seeing her hair that was usually down and in twin-tails was pulled up on the top of her head in a messy bun. Romeo moved the blanket back and up so she could slip in next to him. Wendy smiled and slid in next to the older mage. He threw his arm over her shoulder pulling her closer to him as he started the movie.
"What movie did you decide on?" Wendy asking looking up at him suspiciously.
"You'll see." He said looking down at her with a smirk and winked at her. She gulped knowing his infinity for horror movies and not that she was apposed to the genre she just preferred them in the daylight. Turning her attention back to the screen a smile spread across her face as the movie titled appeared.
"No way! This is my favorite movie! How did you know?" Wendy asked as the title screen of P.S. I Love You flashed on the screen. Romeo smiled as he ran his hand up and down the dragon slayers upper arm.
"I remember you telling the girls one day about it and saying it was your favorite. I just got lucky it was here." Romeo smiled at her looking back at the screen.
The two mages watched the movie in silence as tears streamed down their faces during the sad moments. Romeo wiped his face free of the tears and cleared his throat. He turned to Wendy wiping her face of tears as well as she smiled up at him. "That was so good. What did you think?" The young woman asked and he smiled at her and nodded getting up to change the movie to a comedy.
"It was good. I can see why it's your favorite even though its incredibly sad!" Romeo laughed as he moved back to the couch and smiled as Wendy snuggled into his side. The two mages yawned as the second movie started and before the movie was half way over they were both fast asleep wrapped in each other's arms.
