Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Supernatural Romance. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Yunna, Shonen Jump and a few others do.
Tadaaki really didn't like the quiet of the forest, it bothered him a lot more than anything.
Nonko looked around, her halberd held in her hands as Tadaaki twirled a Nodachi in his hands… a sword meant to be used to fight horse mounted warriors, he cracked his neck and looked around under blue and red armor.
He really didn't like the fact Nonko was here, things weren't tough, yes, but that didn't at all make them much easier to deal with at the moment with his master and friend present.
That and Nonko's tendency to go behind him to try and cover his flank… he really didn't need to deal with her lighthearted banter.
He hated himself at the moment, that implied he didn't care about Nonko much more then his master. She was his friend, his partner, they were very close.
It did also help that he helped paid the bills, and felt a sense of kinship to the girl who he was so close with all those years ago.
"I don't see them, do you?" he asked while twirling in place, very curious as to how and why they didn't see anything. The report couldn't have made things clearer if they tried.
He blinked before an arrow flew at him, he blinked and batted the object aside with a massive hulking hand as he looked at it.
Ah, so Orcs were in the forest, they just didn't want to reveal themselves. He should have suspected treachery from them… but that were prone to be loud, unruly and easy to temper… not quiet like this, he was bothered more then anything by their tactics.
Another of the orcs tried to attack them, only to find Tadaaki's blade lodged inside his chest as Tadaaki seized the bow and arrow from the man's back before pulling his sword from the man's chest. He sighed and looked at the dead orc.
Ok… now this was becoming scary and way out of hand for the moment, he didn't know anything about these orcs, and they disturbed him with how cunning they were.
This was revealed a moment later as more orcs arrived from out of the trees. One of them spoke as he held up what looked like an LMG with one hand, it made him surprised to see the orcs using guns.
Then again? He was using a damn sword when guns existed, he really should invest in one if he survived this.
"Damn Ralph, always trying to be the big samurai hero, saving the world with that stupid knife of us and his bow and arrow." The man said as the rest of his group produced pistols and shotguns.
Tadaaki vowed to never use a sword again in this day and age if he survived long enough to see his own words come to fruition… which seemed unlikely due to the pack of over a dozen orcs or such.
"Well, look at the fancy costumes… You and that chick wearing anything under there or…?" He heard laughs; very horrible laughs that made him clutch at his nose with all his might like it would explode on him.
"Ugh, your breath smells worse than a swamp." Tadaaki stated before the leader clubbed him to the ground.
He grunted in pain; his mask cracked by the heavy weapon as he slowly tried to climb to his feet only to be pushed back down once more.
The man chuckled and looked at the groaning Tadaaki who looked up in disgust of the hulking brute that clubbed him to the ground.
"You really think you can take us?" He heard from the massive monster of a warrior that was currently trying to restrain him, much to his sheer amusement.
True, orcs were both super strong, resilient enough to take a truck hitting them and just walk through it… but they were both very arrogant for pig like beings… and anything stronger than them was easily able to cow them into submission.
Trolls were once such case as Tadaaki easily managed to flip himself back onto his feet, knocking the massive warrior off him before seizing his weapon in the process.
"I do when you're stupid enough to walk up to me rather than try and shoot me." He stated, he batted the barrel of the weapon away with his arm as the other orcs went to shoot.
Great, more problems to deal with… his only respite against this was they risked killing their leader if they tried to shoot him… yay, that also meant they could easily shoot Nonko.
It was the punch from her that sent one of the thugs flying several hundred feet in the other direction.
"I sometimes forget that she's so strong… also she terrifies me." Tadaaki stated before being punched in the face as he dodged the leader of the orcs.
It made him curious.
Author Notes
Phew, another chapter done! I want to point out that the updates for this story will be a little infrequent. Next chapter will end up being in a week or so maybe and will show the rest of the fight with the Orcs. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
Ps: I am upgrading the Dragon Maid stories hopefully very soon… hopefully.
