Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Supernatural Romance. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Yunna, Shonen Jump and a few others do.
The trip home was uneventful. Nobody dared try to kill or kidnap Nonko again and the Orcs that were killed certainly matched the description of the ones that the group who hired them wanted.
Did it bother Tadaaki that someone had sent them out to the middle of nowhere to try and kill a group of orcs? Yes, without question it did, and it reeked of a trap that they couldn't quite shake off.
Still, it was something they got paid for, and it would get them through the next few months… whoever hired them clearly didn't seem to worry about money.
He wondered why they were hired by someone who had such a massive amount of wealth.
"DON'T DO SOMETHING STUPID AGAIN, DAKKI!" Nonko roared at him, scaring him enough for him to nod and look over his shoulder.
He nodded meekly, entirely unwilling to try and focus on fighting someone who could clearly defeat him.
"I won't do something so reckless again, Lady Nonko… I promise I won't e-ever." He muttered, trying to keep his own thoughts to himself.
His charge/roommate, smiled at him with sheer amusement and nodded before walking inside their house as Tadaaki caught his breath and let out a gasp of air he felt like he hadn't let out in minutes.
He was extremely loyal to his friend and he would serve Nonko to the best of his ability no matter what…. he still wasn't stupid enough to think he could anger an ogre and ger away with it.
She also knew ALL his weaknesses, which made her more frightening if Nonko ever became sadistic?
Well, Tadaaki could say he wouldn't be sleeping for what seemed like a far few years if it came down to it. Nonko's advances already pushed him to the limit.
He entered the house and blinked to see Nonko had already changed back into the same shirt she wore before, leaving her feet and legs entirely bare at the moment.
Not that he wasn't used to that, Nonko seem to despise the very idea of wearing pants besides shorts.
Which always annoyed him due to the amount of money he spent getting pajamas… oh, and that wasn't even counting the fact that he had thrown away what had to be a small fortune of his dignity to get said clothes.
Yay, way to throw him under the bus as well, make all of the things he went through to help her mean nothing.
"You know I always get pajamas for you, right?" Tadaaki asked, sometimes it made him question if she was a childish girl when it came down to it.
Nope, both were 24, so they could deal with things like adults… still, even despite her attempts to shake it off? He acted like a servant, the same thing his species acted as for when it came down to it.
To be entirely fair? It was something kind of hardwired into his species as a whole, he couldn't really fight against it when it came down to it, he had to do something.
Nonko nodded and pouted and Tadaaki had to fight the urge to consider it cute.
"Do you always have to go and do the shopping for both of us?" Nonko asked with a raised eyebrow.
Tadaaki did a mental somersault at that accusation. Nonko really questioned if he wanted to do that? No, he didn't. why did he do it then? Tadaaki did it because Nonko was the following.
Super picky with what she wore to the point it felt more like he was helping her try on clothes for the first time.
She was usually home either relaxing or enjoying herself which meant dragging things through the mud if he wanted her to end up getting out of the house to do something.
And c.? it was also because Nonko seemed to forget he did most of the stuff around the house considering she was the noble one and he was supposed to be a servant to her.
"No… but I like doing it." Nonko raised an eyebrow, knowing her friend.
She decided to let it go for now, they both had way more on their plates then something like this.
"I'm just glad you're ok… I can't imagine you're always doing things like this." Nonko stated, walking over to the couch.
He hummed and nodded, he did do this for a living, it was usually his job for the week to try and get rid of creatures causing trouble for money. that was how he made income.
Yes, it was dangerous, but so was he. He didn't really have an excuse not to constantly start fighting.
It was his duty to help with the house any manner he could.
"Oh, and by the way? You forgot about the puzzles we were going to do." Tadaaki groaned.
Not the damn puzzles…
