Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Supernatural Romance. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Yunna, Shonen Jump and a few others do.
Tadaaki wasn't easily fazed by much. He was a warrior, infernal beasts and other agonizing monsters didn't bother him much.
"Daki…" Nonko purred sweetly with a giggle. "Why are you so mean to never play with me?" Nonko asked aloud.
Tadaaki wondered just why at times he was the servant to Nonko. His focus always shifted between being amused and enjoying her silly games, or believing she would turn her affections to him.
"Because you need bed rest, Lady Nonko." Tadaaki stated as he walked away. "You need to relax and take things easy." Tadaaki added.
This garnered a huff from Nonko as the Ogre slumped. Tadaaki sighed and averted his gaze. He wouldn't deny Nonko easily guilted him several times with her sad looks.
"You're no fun," Nonko said before grumbling and looking to the side. "You know that?" She asked Tadaaki who let out a tired sigh at this.
He was by no means stupid enough to not see that she cared a great deal for him. Tadaaki cared immensely for Nonko as well. it was just clear the poor girl was almost tipsy due to how much she drank.
Tadaaki wondered how she hadn't succumbed to the effects of alcohol poisoning before slapping his hand to his head.
You couldn't fall prey to something you naturally gained powerful. Nonko would never get sick from the drinks since her body was used to the drinks. They gave her energy and life.
"Rest, Nonko." Tadaaki muttered to her with a slight roll of his eyes. "Your going to get another hangover." Tadaaki added as Nonko sighed and wondered off.
'When did Tadaaki become such a spoilsport'? Nonko mentally questioned of her friend. 'He's always been Mr. party animal, and now that we get a house like this, he decides to play responsible?' Nonko asked herself before wondering off to go and find something to do without bothering Tadaaki.
Tadaaki watched as his friend skipped and hopped out of the room, giggling and snickering to herself about some joke he couldn't hear.
"That woman will be the death of me." Tadaaki muttered to himself as he started to clean the plates in the sink.
He thought back to the orcs. Tadaaki noticed they were a lot more coordinated then usual, they never struck in groups like that before. Tadaaki knew the infighting between groups and their stubborn pride prevented more then 4 or 5 from menacing someone.
"I wonder who sent us there to go and clean them up?" Nonko asked himself as he slowly walked around the room. "Was someone testing us, or just wanting to have us exterminate a group of orcs like that?" He added into his curious inquiry into the group.
Tadaaki hummed and decided to shake the thought from his head. He had work to do, lounging about and questioning something done and dusted wasn't going to accomplish anything.
That was one reason. The other was he could see Nonko peeking around the corner at him. He pretended not to see the playful ogre and continue with his work. Nonko hummed and giggled once more.
Tadaaki was entirely off drinking if this was what sake did to someone when ingested so heavily. He didn't want to come off fighting to smell like he had drank an entire bar.
Plus, hangovers kind of ruined trying to hunt down dangerous criminals and monsters for cash in order to survive.
"Daki…." Nonko stated again as Tadaaki pretended she wasn't nearby. "Daki?" Nonko asked only for her friend to ignore her.
Tadaaki didn't want to make eye contact with the ogre noble. She would just misinterpret the entire statement and try to glomp him or something equally insane.
It wasn't so much his heart as it was his desire to care about keeping her sober. Nonko wasn't in her right mind usually and it scared him to think of what she would do drunk.
Nonko walked around the room, pouting and letting out huffs that reminded Tadaaki of how ridiculous his friend could be.
It was also funny that he bought her slippers and yet the traipsed around the apartment in bare feet, a red bra, and a shirt that barely covered the upper parts of her body.
Tadaaki turned away from this and continued to try and clean. It was much too dirty in the kitchen for him to be here.
"Why don't you ever listen?" Nonko asked as Tadaaki turned to face her with a slight tilt of his head that would have sent most people over the edge in sheer amusement.
"Because if I didn't take this job seriously?" Tadaaki asked the ogre noble. "We wouldn't have a house if one of us didn't pay for it, Nonko." Tadaaki stated with no trace of amusement lost in his tone.
Tadaaki turned and walked away, leaving Nonko to giggle and question how to mess with him next.
