Chapter 2 : The Gold Princess
Last Time on The Masks of Garmadon : Charlie reappears in Ninjago City, in Early-2045, with a new friend of his, Liam Garmadon, just The Mask of Vengeance is stolen from Borg Tower and Charlie decides to reunite the team, while Eric defends his mom and grandmother in Ignacia from angry guards, while Richard, Siddie, and Nina argue at a Monastery in the Glacier Barrens, with Felicia and Xavier defeating The Mechanic ( Again ), and Charlie not only shows his new voice, but his new scar, and tells them who left it behind, and it seems to Felicia that either Charlie hit puberty early, or there's more to that Scar than what her little brother lets on, with Liam and Hutchins talking about the Masks, and the Young Ninjas agree to protect Emperor Lloyd's speech the following day. . .

"Today my Daddy is giving a speech to the People of Ninjago City, while I stand there and watch as every eye in Ninjago City will be on me for perhaps the first time in Months, my Mommy has been telling me everything will be okay, but after hearing about the Borg Tower Heist, and the fact that we still have The Mask of Deception, something tells me that nothing good will happen, even if Charlie will be the one protecting me, It's Valentine's Day, and I want to use it as a chance to reunite with the one I let into my heart, but with how long it's been, I don't know if I can really talk to Charlie, For some reason, I hardly even remember what I did as a Ninja, but with how scared I've been lately with all of this Crime, maybe it's best if I don't keep that many Memories, but this day may be my perfect chance, and I'm not going to waste it, or let my brother ruin it, and if Charlie or Liam asks me about my brother, I won't answer, they'll see him soon enough. . ."
"My Name is Lydia Garmadon, The Gold Princess of Ninjago, Granddaughter of Misako and Lord Garmadon, Niece of Brenden Kenway, Queen Akita, and Liv Garmadon, Cousin to Liam, Alex, Zachary, Via, Lucas, and Clayton, and Daughter of Emperor Lloyd, and Empress Harumi, and may my great-grandfather, The First Spinjitzu Master's understanding, guide us all. . ."
Right Now, Emperor Lloyd was giving his Speech to the people of Ninjago City, and the Young Ninjas were keeping watch.
Lloyd : That means, it is time for us to once again leave the shadows, and stand with pride and honor in the light!
Nina was in the crowd wearing her normal clothes keeping an eye on the citizens.
Nina : I don't think I like this one bit, if the Royal Family likes their privacy over the past months, why give such a Public Speech?
Eric : I think it's nice they're reaching out again to the people after so long.
Felicia : What's with all the hate Cus, you just don't seem to like getting all gussied up.
Nina : All of that Green, Gold, Glitter, and White is for show, Emperor Lloyd and his family are just figureheads, they don't have any real or true power, so purpose do they have?
Liam : My uncle's purpose, is to be our Mentor, he and my Mother both trained me in the Ways of the Ninja, and I have since then stood beside Charlie to help him protect the City, and my family.
Xavier : Liam's right, as of now, their purpose is to be protected, as do all our traditions, I believe Master Charlie has spotted something of his interest.
Charlie was in between the civilians and the stand where the Royal Family was, and something caught his eye.
He saw Lydia standing near Harumi and Misako, and she was wearing her golden kimono, the robe on top of it, was Old Gold, the dress itself was Gold, and the accents were White and Forest Green, as well as having Gold and Green lotus flowers on her cape, wearing her white and green kabuki makeup, and wearing her gold headdress, and had her hair the same way Harumi did when she wore it.
Charlie eyes widened, as Lydia looked at Charlie for a split second and smiled at him.
Felicia : Looks like my little brother has his eyes on the Princess.
Eric : I guess Amber and Orange are her favorite Colors.
Charlie : You guys do know I can hear you right?, Emperor Lloyd's almost finished, let's just do our job.
Lloyd : We must all continue our allegiance, and forever stand united!
The Citizens cheered as Lloyd bowed, and walked towards his family, as Charlie and others got ready.
Charlie : Everybody be on the Lookout!
Princess Alex : Copy that.
Everybody spread out and pulled out their weapons ( Except for Charlie since he remained near the stage watching the Citizens )
Just then a balloon went up and it had the Sons of Garmadon's Symbol.
Charlie : I see them, Liam cover the Royals!
Liam : On it!
Charlie, Liam, and Hutchins ran up and pulled the Royal Family to the ground to cover them.
Charlie : Is the threat clear?
Nina just stood up as one of the Citizens pushed her over, and she looked to the ground once she heard the noise.
Nina : Huh, Firecrackers, false alarm.
Charlie helped Lydia stand up and she smiled at him and took the moment to hold his hand and smile at him, before walking back inside with her parents.
Charlie was left in shock as he stared at Lydia as she walked back inside, and the others came down from their spots around the Palace Gates and walked over to Charlie and Hutchins.
Hutchins : You have protected the Royal Family, and they have invited you to be their guests inside the Palace.
Eric : Lately nobody's ever been invited inside the Palace, are you sure they meant us?
Nina : It's just a Royal Palace, brother, we've been in it before.
Eric : Just The Hall of the Young Ninjas, that's it, that and the Great Hall from when we did Alex's Birthday, but nothing else.
Nina : Still seen one, you've seen them all.
Princess Alex : You have never been inside of my home, well Charlie has.
Charlie : True.
Eric : When was that?
Charlie : When I asked Queen Akita about The keys to the Machete of Mayhem.
Eric : Okay.
Charlie : We'd be honored.
Charlie bowed in Respect and they left the palace to wait until nightfall.
Just then somebody walked outside the palace and tapped Liam's Shoulder.
Liam : Mom!
Liam hugged his mother and she returned the hug.
Liv : Saw what you did just a moment ago, False Alarm or Not, I'm proud of you.
Liam : Thanks, hoping I can unlock my true potential, I know my experiences haven't been as traumatic as yours were Mother, but I still have seen my share of strangeness, but I want the others to see that I my soul, spirit, and above all else, my heart in the right place to Protect Ninjago.
Liv : With wise words like that I know they will see and accept you for who you are son, I'll see you tonight.
Liam : Alright then.
Liam hugged his mother one more time before running off to catch up with Charlie and the others.
For those curious, Liam's Suit is much like Lloyd's from Season 8, except the suit is black, and the belt, color of the hood ( minus the tie and the face mask ) ties around the legs, and the sashes around his legs are all Dark Purple.
The Royal Palace of Ninjago, 8:05 p.m.
The Young Ninjas just entered the Palace and were walking through the Hall of the Young Ninjas with Hutchins.
Hutchins : I will say this Charlie, you, Eric, Siddie, and even Lydia have impressed me with your acts to Protect Ninjago.
Charlie : Thank you.
Hutchins : Though Lydia and her "Creative" Mind have been stepping away from her Ninja life for quite some time now, enjoying the peace will she feels she still has it, and her Father not wanting her in danger with the Sons of Garmadon, after what came last time
Charlie : I can respect that.
Hutchins : As you all know, this place is also known as The Palace of Secrets.
Felicia : Why do they call it that?
Hutchins : If I told you it wouldn't be a secret now would it.
Eric : This is Amazing.
Richard : I'm already feeling Royal.
Xavier : It's Beautiful.
Felicia : I could get used to living in a place like this.
Charlie : Well don't you guys, we're here as Guests, and then back to Protecting Ninjago.
Siddie : You certainly are the Responsible one Charlie.
Liam : I like that sort of attitude, true way of the Ninja in my opinion.
Charlie smiled and nodded at Liam and they kept walking.
Felicia : What is up with my brother and that guy?
Richard : Liam was the only friend Charlie had with him here in the City after so long, giving those two a pretty good bond, almost best friends if you will say, but that's really it, none of us have seen Charlie for quite a while, so who knows what he's truly been doing, especially if he has that scar on his neck.
Felicia : Maybe that made his voice lower.
Siddie : Either way somehow it makes him sound more Responsible, or Serious as a Ninja, and I like it.
Charlie : I can hear you guys you know, and Thank you Siddie.
Siddie : You're welcome.
Charlie's smile faded and he nodded at Hutchins for him to open the Throne Room's doors.
Nina : Too much Gold in my opinion.
Hutchins : Then you may not like your old friend.
He opened the door and everybody walked inside.
Hutchins : I present to you the Emperor and Empress of Ninjago, Emperor Lloyd and Empress Harumi, and their daughter The Spirited Gold Princess, Princess Lydia.
Lloyd looked at Lydia as she brightly smiled.
Lydia felt a huge sense of Pride and Joy seeing the Young Ninjas, and smiled as she kept her hands together after she bowed to the Young Ninjas.
The Young Ninjas bowed before Charlie hit Nina's shoulder and got her to bow as well.
Lloyd : We are honored by your Presence kids, especially yours Charlie.
Charlie : The honor is Mine, your highness.
Empress Harumi : That may be, but hearing of your actions over the past months have told us you have the true pride, honor, and will as the lead Protector of Ninjago.
Charlie smiled and bowed to Empress Harumi, and she smiled and did the same.
Lydia then bowed and slowly started to walk down the stairs.
Princess Lydia : I have read, heard, and have even seen your heroic actions over the past half year, and they will certainly become legend as the best protectors in Ninjago.
Lydia raised her arms, and the kids stood up straight from their bow, and Lydia then mentioned each of her friends.
Princess Lydia : Felicia, the hothead who acts without question.
Felicia : You know it.
Princess Lydia : Siddie, the rock and foundation of the whole team.
Siddie smiled and bowed to her best friend, and Lydia smiled back.
Princess Lydia : Eric, the most Insecure, but most Brave of the Young Ninjas, with his Mastery of Water that could and will rival any master he will come across.
Eric : I'm liking this girl.
Princess Lydia : Richard, the son of the quick and quiet ghost.
Richard : Watch out, because I may lurk in your shadows.
Everybody laughed at what Richard had said, and Lydia continued.
Princess Lydia : Xavier, the cool and calculating android.
Xavier : Nindroid, your highness.
Princess Lydia : Alex, my cousin, and fellow Princess who uses her forms of the Arctic Fox and The Blue Whale, and her Mastery of Time, to slow the enemies plans, and sets to make sure time and balance remains.
Princess Alex : Another that will always remain, is my friendship with not just my cousin, but my best friend.
Lydia smiled and shared the bow with Alex, and she moved on.
Princess Lydia : Liam, The Master of Destruction, who finds a way to use such to create new ways to protect the ones he cares for.
Liam : There can always be Light and Creativity within Destruction.
Liv was standing near her brother and she smiled at what her son had said.
Princess Lydia : Nina, the girl-
Felicia and Xavier both smirked at what Lydia said, and Nina gave her a dirty look.
Princess Lydia : I wasn't finished.
Felicia and Xavier quickly snapped out of it, and stood straight and looked away.
Princess Lydia : The girl who's mouth talks as fast as Lightning, and her own Mastery of Lightning, that she uses to shock the world with her skills and will to protect Ninjago.
Nina : I like her.
Nina bowed in respect, and Lydia smiled the most when she was on the last Young Ninja.
Princess Lydia : And Master Charlie, The Amber Ninja, among the Youngest and Bravest of the Young Ninjas, with his Mastery of not just one, but all elements he comes across, as the lead Protector and Savior of Ninjago, and what most believe as the chosen one, as Ninjago's greatest hero.
Charlie : Thank you, Princess, and to you as well for inviting us.
Lloyd : It was our daughter's idea Charlie.
Empress Harumi : And she wants you kids to stay and protect us until the threat to our throne is gone.
Misako : These have become dark times for us once before, and as long as my son is protecting the Oni Mask, we all fear our lives, especially Lydia's could be in jeopardy.
Princess Lydia : The Oni Masks must not ever be reunited Charlie. . . Please say yes.
Charlie couldn't avoid the look in Lydia's eyes or his friends as they all stared at him.
Charlie : Of course, you will always have our help, your highness.
Princess Lydia : Thank you, and Hutchins can show you the Palace.
The Young Ninjas bowed one last time, as Hutchins came to walk the kids through the Palace, and Lydia walked away with the rest of her family, except for Liam who remained with the others.
Empress Harumi : Sweetie.
Princess Lydia : Yes, Mommy?
Empress Harumi : Nothing, seeing you in your golden dress and speaking to each of your friends, reminds me of when your Father and I were much younger, and I was the one speaking to each of them.
Liv : Yea, and you won Nya over with your "Girl Talk".
Empress Harumi : Oh ha ha, Curious though of what the kids will think when they see the demon spawn total will go up to four.
Liv rolled her eyes, and Lloyd shook his head at what Harumi just told them, and they playfully smiled at her.
Liv : The reason I haven't let the kids see my daughter yet, is because even while not Destruction, her powers could be dangerous, and that's what making her scared of herself.
Lloyd : That, and my son as you know has been busy going around Ninjago.
Empress Harumi : Reason why I told you giving him a baseball bat was a bad idea.
Lloyd : Hey, if he likes the sport, I ain't gonna stop him from playing it.
Empress Harumi : True Lloyd, but he's the Prince-
Lloyd : Even so Rumi, he said when he would get to the right age, he would turn the throne down, seeing Lydia's will and desire to help people, and our son wanting to live the life he wishes to have, I don't want to stop him from doing such.
Empress Harumi : Liv, where is your daughter anyway?
Liv : My neighbors are watching her, I didn't want to leave her alone, or bring her here when the Sons of Garmadon might steal the Mask.
Lloyd : Curious though, if it isn't my Twin Sister who stabbed me in the back, my Empress who betrayed me, or my bundle of joy who was forced to join the Sons of Garmadon as a ruse, then who is it?
Misako : Beats me, as long as I'm not getting captured again searching for my brother in-law.
Empress Harumi : Let's never speak of this conversation again.
Lydia giggled at what her mother had said, and Lloyd grabbed his daughter by her waist, and lifted her to carry her in his arms.
Meanwhile. . .
Hutchins was walking to kids through the Palace, except for Alex who actually went to Lydia's Room, since she was allowed to see her since she was her cousin ( Also the fact that Alex was also a Princess )
Hutchins : While you kids are in our service, you have full access to the complimentary royal buffet, anything you want is at your disposal, exotic fruits, juices, vegetables, scones, and all you can eat, Cake.
Siddie : Thanks, but I've been trying to avoid eating too many sweets, making my body a temple.
Nina : Ever since our parents went missing, Siddie's been a real party pooper.
Xavier : What?
Nina : I'll explain later.
Eric : Sis, I really wish you stop bringing that stuff up, especially since I just saw Mom yesterday.
Nina : Where?
Eric : She was at Ignacia with Gramma, I saved both of them from thugs that were starving the citizens.
Hutchins : Moving on, the Royal Palace is equipped with Secret Passages to get anywhere fast.
Felicia : Oh, so that's why they call it the Palace of Secrets.
Hutchins : Yes, but as to the locations of the secret passages, only the Royal Family knows.
Charlie : Does that include The Emperor and Empress siblings, since Liv Garmadon is the Emperor's brother, and the Empress' brother, Brenden Kenway, and The Formlings' are a Royal Family now as well.
Hutchins : Yes they do, and so does Liam.
While they were talking Felicia was grabbing books off the shelf, and there were almost 20 on the floor before Liam spoke.
Liam : Felicia, I know where the passages are, and I can tell you first hand, that there is not one in the bookshelf.
Siddie : We'll clean up after ourselves.
Hutchins : I hope so.
Hutchins grunted a small bit and continued walking.
Nina : Do you guys think there's something off about this guy?
Charlie : He's holding something back.
Felicia : Little brother, so are you, are you really not gonna tell us about what happened to not just your voice, but your neck.
Charlie bit his lip, closed his eyes and put his head towards the ground before he looked at his sister.
Charlie : I will tell you what you need to know In time, but not now.
Nina : Just as long as it doesn't blow our six to eight year old lives.
Xavier : I'm nine.
Charlie : His birthday was last month Cus.
Nina : Sorry.
The Young Ninjas ran to catch up to Hutchins, as they were near something inside of a glass box.
Hutchins : Now finally, the reason for your protection, The Mask of Deception.
Felicia : Yikes, that's about a face only a mother could love, why would anybody want that.
Charlie : That's up to us to figure out.
Nina : Just being in the same room as this thing is giving me the heebie-jeebies.
Eric : If this is the Mask of Deception, what was stolen from Borg Industries?
Hutchins : The Mask of Vengeance.
Siddie : What about the third one?
Liam : My aunt and uncle, as well as my Mother and Brenden Kenway are the only ones who know the location of the Mask of Hatred, and they haven't spoken one bit of it's location, but my guess is that It won't stay hidden for long.
Hutchins : Liam's Right, though while nobody has found the third mask, it has given the Royal Family little resolve.
Charlie then noticed the door to Lydia's Room, and he walked over, and saw Alex in there talking to her.
Princess Alex : So you aren't gonna try?
Princess Lydia : I am, but it's very hard, I haven't seen Charlie in a long time, and after such of not seeing him, it's almost like my love for him as well as the memories I had of being a Ninja just faded away almost as if I finally got my life back, until he protected me during my father's speech, and I felt the need to kiss his cheek, I felt a weird sense of pride and joy, but I don't know If I can really talk to him after this long, and if my life really is in jeopardy, it scares me, after having this much time with my Mommy and Daddy, I just don't know if I want to be a Ninja, believe me, lately I've loved my peace and my time as The Gold Princess, it feels like its who I am, that its Me, but I don't know how I can do that without Charlie, they would all say that I've changed, but I like myself for who I am, and I just wanna be Me.
Charlie peeked through the door and saw Lydia rubbing the white and green kabuki makeup off her face, and she saw Charlie in the mirror.
Lydia then gasped and hid her face, and Charlie backed away from the door and smiled.
Hutchins : We do know that old dark forces are looking to acquire it, and that is why we need eyes on the Mask of Deception at all times.
Felicia : Don't worry, we're Ninja, we're experts at this sort of thing.
Eric : Charlie is.
Felicia : I still don't get that, he's been protecting Ninjago City the whole time, and we already made him our Master?
Liam : He knows more about The Ways of the Ninja than any of us do now, and he's been protecting Ninjago the longest.
Felicia : Fair enough.
Royal Palace, 8:45 p.m.
The Young Ninjas went to their posts and were keeping watch.
Nina : All clear.
Liam : Clear here too, wait, look!
Liam pointed toward Hutchins down in the Garden, and he turned around and saw the two of them watching him, and then he slowly walked back inside.
Nina : Who's watching who?
Liam nodded, agreeing with Nina's Suspicion.
Inside the Palace, Siddie, Eric, Xavier, and Richard were at the buffet.
Eric was drinking the Pomegranate Juice and eating some of the Cake, and he then smiled at Siddie.
Eric : Siddie, you sure you don't want any, This Cake is only dangerous because it's delicious!
Siddie giggled at Eric, after seeing the frosting on his lips.
Siddie : Okay, okay.
Felicia, Xavier, Siddie, Eric, and Nina's Robes were all the same as their Parents' from Season 8, changes are that Siddie has the extra armor around her waist, and the accents were Pink instead of Orange, same with her Hammer.
Charlie and Liam's Robes are the same design as Kai and Lloyd's.
Liam's Suit was mentioned earlier in this Chapter if you're curious.
Charlie's Suit was Charcoal Gray, making it slightly darker than Eric's Suit ( Gunmetal Gray ), and slightly brighter than Liam's and Siddie's ( Black ) the face mask itself and the tie around the top of the hood remain black, while the rest of the hood is Dark Orange, the accents on the torso, the sash, and the ties around Charlie's legs are all a lighter shade of Orange and Amber, with the majority of Eric, Alex, Liam, Siddie, and Charlie's suits being shades of Gray and Black to help them stay out of sight.
Siddie grabbed the small round Cake from Eric's hands and ate it.
Siddie : So your Mother is safe?
Eric : Yea, for now she's staying in Ignacia with my Grandparents.
Siddie : What about your father?
Eric : I don't know where my Dad is, he vanished four months ago.
Siddie : My Mommy and Daddy disappeared only a few weeks after we defeated The Plague Doctor, and I've been with Richard since.
Richard : Considering my dad is good friends' with Cole, my dad figured it would be best if he watched Siddie until Cole was found, but there still hasn't been a trace of any of them, and only two months later my dad disappeared as well, and we've been on our own since then.
Xavier : I have no clue where my parents are either, and neither does my Grandfather, wherever they are, if they may have been captured, someone or something disabled their signals, so I can't track them. . . and can somebody explain to me, what is a party pooper?
Siddie : Nina's upset that I'm the responsible one, and with our parents gone, and Charlie focused on leading us, I'm being the one to help him keep all of us in check.
Xavier : In that case, you are correct, you are responsible, it is nice to have a pooper at the party.
Eric and Richard both laughed, and after a few seconds so did Siddie and Xavier..
Charlie was watching the Mask and he went up to it.
Charlie : So you're the Mask of Deception.
Just then, he heard what seemed like a glass shatter coming from Lydia's Bedroom.
Charlie : Princess?
He walked towards the door and didn't get a response.
Charlie : Princess Lydia, are you there?
Charlie opened the door and gasped, Lydia's room was a mess, the lights were off, and Lydia was gone.
Charlie went towards the window and looked around, suddenly he saw somebody on one of the rooftops carrying a large bag, and he gasped.
Charlie : He's got the Princess!
He didn't hesitate and pulled on his hood and gave chase.
Charlie then followed the mysterious figure on the rooftops, and ducked behind one when the figure looked back to see if they were followed, when he got up and saw the figure across another rooftop, he saw beneath him was the street and a bunch of wires hanging across from the two buildings with the lanterns from the Festival a few days ago.
Charlie : You've got to be kidding Me.
Charlie tried to swing across, but the ladder he grabbed broke, and he was about to fall into the street.
Charlie : Well that's just great.
Just then the Mysterious figure grabbed Charlie's hand and pulled him up to the rooftop.
Charlie saw the figure was wearing Old Gold, and Yellow clothes and he got in a fighting stance.
Charlie : Who are you?
The person giggled and removed their hood and smiled at Charlie.
Charlie : Princess, I just thought you were kidnapped, I was trying to save you.
Princess Lydia : Was that what that was, just now from my vantage it looked like I was the one saving you.
Charlie rubbed the back of his neck before he got to the point.
Charlie : But then, what's in the bag?
Princess Lydia : It's food, for the less fortunate, I've been trying to give what I can, even if my parents confined me to the Palace.
Charlie : What about your Bedroom, it was ransacked.
Lydia put her hands on her hips and smiled at Charlie playfully as she gave her response.
Princess Lydia : Yes, for a Princess, I can be quite a slob, and thank you for noticing.
Charlie : No, I'm sorry I didn't mean-
The two of them heard yelling, from the Palace and they looked back.
Hutchins : Princess Lydia is gone, Find her!
The guards then spread out to find out where Lydia is and she turned back to Charlie.
Princess Lydia : My Parents can't know that I left the palace, you have to disguise yourself!
Lydia handed Charlie a sweater and he put it on as they ran off towards the Less Fortunate.
8 Minutes Later. . .
Charlie and Lydia were walking down the Canal and Charlie noticed Lydia's Clothes.
They were the same that Harumi wore when she was a teenager, only Lydia's jacket was Old Gold, and the overalls were yellow and under that she wore a white shirt with yellow and green lotus flowers, and the accents of her overalls were White and Forest Green.
Charlie : If I may ask you Princess, why is it your a fan of Gold now?
Princess Lydia : Oh, that sort of thing relates to my brother, as it was revealed, my green powers were just "subduing" my true elemental power.
Charlie : What do you mean?
Lydia held out her hand, and had Charlie closely watch, and a small Golden Dragon appeared and flew around Lydia's hand.
Charlie : You have the Elemental Power of Creation.
Princess Lydia : Yes, and having such a power lets me believe that I will create new ways to help the people of Ninjago City, though some things seem to be easier when you're not a Princess. . . If I had asked my Parents about this, they would never agree with how much crime there's been in the city lately, but all of these people are hungry, and we have so much food inside the palace.
Charlie : Tell me about it, I saw Siddie and Eric eating all of the Cake.
Princess Lydia : Sounds like them.
The last of the people took the food, and Charlie walked down the canal with Lydia.
Charlie : Can I ask you something?
Princess Lydia : Of course.
Charlie : Lately, have you enjoyed being a Princess?
Lydia sighed and gave her response.
Princess Lydia : Most people in Ninjago City would wish to be in my shoes, they think being a Princess is supposed to be wonderful and easy, and I guess right now it's okay, but in these new times of prominence crime, a lot of the time it's really hard.
Charlie : Tell me about it, not about being a Princess, I meant being The Amber Ninja
Charlie and Lydia smiled at each other, as Lydia took off her hood and they both stopped at the bridge.
Princess Lydia : We both have to live up to a role that was bestowed upon us, with us never choosing these Mantles that we hold, but it's harder for me, with me being the daughter of Ninjago's greatest hero, and the great granddaughter of the First Spinjitzu Master, only makes it harder for me to be a Princess.
Charlie : I know, and that makes it hard to live a Normal life, but at least I get to wear a mask, but you. . .
Princess Lydia : I wear my own masks Charlie, one day might be using one as an Oni, since they're ten of them, and they may match my colors.
Charlie : True.
Princess Lydia : I always wear my own Masks, sometimes painted, and sometimes a kidnapper of Princess, Mwahahahaha!
Charlie chuckled at what Lydia said, and smiled at her.
Charlie : In my defense, today was really my first day back in action.
Princess Lydia : While anybody would say that I have changed, I like myself for who I've become over the past few months, while it seems like almost any memory I have over the Villains, being a Ninja, or even being a friend of you guys, like every memory is gone, but for the most part, I don't seem to regret it, my life has been a lot more peaceful since I've been in the Palace, and I've been able to spend my peace with my Grammy, my Mother, and while he's gone for now, I got to spend time with my brother, and most of all, my Daddy.
Charlie : I can't blame you, you've changed Princess, but I don't see any problem in that regardless of what change it is, it could always be a good thing, and if these past few months were how you could have your peace with the ones who care about you, then I would say I'm happy you found peace within your life, and changed to see who you really are.
Princess Lydia: Thank you.
Lydia and Charlie smiled at each other, before they heard something from the street on their right.
Lydia pulled on her hood, and they both walked over to the bikers, who were messing with the less fortunate kids.
Princess Lydia : Charlie, we must leave.
Charlie : These people always have enough to worry about, they shouldn't have to worry about getting bullied by low level street thugs!
Lydia grabbed Charlie's arm and pulled him back.
Princess Lydia : Don't, if you try to stop them, then you'll reveal us.
Charlie gasped when he saw a symbol on one of the biker's clothes.
Princess Lydia : What's wrong?
Charlie : That's the same symbol I had been seeing before, The Sons of Garmadon, even through destruction, he was a more honorable man than these people.
Princess Lydia : No, you said it yourself Charlie, they're only low level street thugs, they only take orders, it's the person giving them that Scares me.
Charlie : But I have to do something.
Just then, a Mech landed and somebody came out.
Princess Lydia : Or you can let Samurai X take care of it.
Samurai X : Step away from the Pedestrians!
Biker : It's Samurai X, let's split!
The kids cheered and Samurai X nodded, before getting in the Mech and flying away.
Princess Lydia : Who is Samurai X?
Charlie : Hazel, Xavier's Girlfriend, wouldn't surprise me if you don't remember after this long, even before so, she wasn't Samurai that long to begin with.
Charlie : Princess.
Princess Lydia : Please. . .
Lydia removed her hood and smiled at Charlie.
Princess Lydia : Call me, Liddy.
Lydia then held Charlie's hand for a moment, and smiled at him.
Charlie : Oh, well Liddy, I should get you back home.
Person : Yes, you should be home, your highness.
Princess Lydia : Hutchins.
Hutchins : May I ask what you are doing outside the Palace?
Charlie : Liddy and I were just taking a walk.
Hutchins gasped what Charlie said, and seemed to start driving in his anger
Hutchins : Liddy, a walk?!
Princess Lydia : I was my idea, please, don't be angry at Charlie.
Hutchins : It is one troubling thing that you two are on a first name basis, these streets are not safe at night your highness, I must insist you return with me, at once.
Hutchins grabbed Lydia's arm and started walking her back to the Palace, he then smiled mischievously at Charlie and kept walking, making Charlie suspicious.
February 15th, 10:12 a.m.
The Young Ninjas were in the Palace Courtyard with Liv, since she was training them since her brother was busy.
Felicia was sparring with Xavier
Richard and Alex were with Eric and Nina.
Liam was sparring with Liv.
and Charlie was sparring with Siddie.
Siddie : Moonlit walks on the Canal, and sharing food on a Valentine's Day night, it sounds a lot like a date.
Charlie used his Mace and hit Siddie's Hammer ( Since she, Xavier, Felicia, Nina, and Eric were using their parents weapons from when they fought the SoG )
Charlie : It was not a date.
Xavier : A Date, a Social or Romantic Engagement, often involving a beautiful setting.
Nina : You can't argue with the logic of a Nindroid.
Liv : Actually you can, and I will admit I have, doesn't mean you'll win though.
Felicia : Look little bro, if you like the Princess, you gotta step up your game.
Felicia then used Spinjitzu on Xavier and they continued Sparring.
Charlie : What are you implying, by Game?
Xavier : It means one's ability to Charm, you need to show the Princess why you are the most logical mate.
Richard : You wanna try and Impress her a bit, you should try acting tough, like breaking things.
Richard grabbed Siddie's Hammer and slammed it into one of the wooden poles, and the top half fell off.
Nina : Pfft, No way, make her laugh, just ask Eric and Alex, they never seem to resist my sense of Humor.
Alex used her Kusarigama to wrap around Nina's Nunchucks, and Eric used his Spear ( Which was smaller than his Golden Weapon ) and flipped Nina onto her back.
Princess Alex : Well that's one of the ways.
Eric : And It's, an acquired taste, sis.
Felicia : Oh don't listen to them, listen to my advice little brother, you gotta act Cool around her, like you don't even care.
Charlie : But, I do.
Nina : Aha, so you admit it!
Eric : Okay!
Liv : Alright, stop it!
Princess Alex : None of you guys are helping Charlie.
Liv : Charlie look, when your around my niece, just be yourself, easiest and most successful way, Lydia's strong, and passionate to those that are close to her, and she'll be the same way towards you, and it's much better than being a person you're not.
Liam : You would know that hook, line, and sinker.
Liv : Real funny, Son.
Siddie swung her hammer at Charlie's legs and it made him fall.
Siddie : Gotcha.
Charlie for a brief second let his anger get the better of him, as he grabbed the hammer and swung at Siddie and it hit her in the face, sending her into Richard and Alex.
Siddie : Ow.
Charlie : Do not try that again.
Charlie dropped the hammer, and for a brief second, one of his eyes and his scar turned purple, and it worried Liv.
Liam : What is it Mom?
Liv : There's definitely more to that Scar than what Charlie let's on, you kids be careful around him, and Liam, if you see him using your powers, tell me.
Liam : Alright.
6 Minutes Later. . .
Charlie was in the Palace, walking towards the Throne Room, and Lydia was in there with her parents.
Charlie looked for a brief second without them noticing, and saw Lydia wearing her Princess Clothes, it was hard for Charlie to look away from such, it made him think she was "Eternally Gorgeous".
Lloyd : Lydia, I thought we were over this, you can't keep leaving the Palace that late at night, it's dangerous with the Sons of Garmadon out there, especially if they were at the Canal as well.
Princess Lydia : I was just trying to help the people, and I was with Charlie.
Empress Harumi : But Sweetheart, Charlie alone may not be enough to protect you from those bikers, especially if it's not just the Mask they're after, just one Young Ninja isn't enough.
Princess Lydia : But Charlie's not just a Ninja, and he deserves more Honor and Respect than any of the others give him Credit for.
Empress Harumi : Lydia, that may be, but It's not safe you outside in Ninjago City with the Sons of Garmadon.
Princess Lydia : I'm sorry, I was only trying to do what I thought was right.
Lloyd kneeled down, and moved Lydia's hair out of her face, so he could talk to her.
Lloyd : Lydia, listen to Me, there was nothing wrong with you doing such, and helping the less fortunate is something I can understand, as I did the same thing with your Mother once, but next time, say so, don't just run off without letting us know one clue where you went, and from what you said of Charlie's Reaction, if you were kidnapped, we wouldn't forgive ourselves.
Lydia hugged her father before running away with tears forming in her eyes.
Lydia gasped when she saw Charlie near the door, and she ran off to her room, crying.
Charlie : Liddy.
Just then, Hutchins came behind Charlie.
Hutchins : If you know what is best for you, then Stay away from her!
Just then, Liv came over to Charlie, and she saw tears forming in his eyes, as he threw his Mace to the ground.
Liv : Charlie, what happened?
Charlie : I can be myself Liv, but not everybody can be so lucky, especially if the Royal Advisor, thinks a Ninja isn't worthy for the heart of The Gold Princess.
Charlie walked away, and Liv stared at Harumi and Lloyd and shook her head, before she walked away with Liam.
10 Minutes Later. . .
Charlie was sitting near the buffet, eating an Orange, when somebody was approaching him.
Person : Hey.
Charlie looked up a bit and saw a silver baseball bat with a green hand grip, and he chuckled when he saw who it was.
Charlie : Demon Spawn number three comes into play I see?
Person : Real funny.
Charlie : So how did things go at The "Snowlot".
Person : Oh it went awesome, for the first time in seven years, our team won, and I got the Trophy
Charlie : How are you not frozen to death, wasn't it like forty degrees over there?
Person : Yea, but they had heaters in both seating areas so the only place there was snow was the actual field.
Charlie : Alright.
Person : Where's my sister?
Charlie : In her room, and I don't care what Hutchins says, let's go see her.
4 Minutes Later.
Lydia was rubbing off her kabuki makeup, and she heard somebody knock on her door, and joyfully gasped when she saw his reflection.
The guy walked in and dropped his bat, and walked over to his sister.
Person : Hey sis.
Princess Lydia : Montgomery!
Lydia threw herself into her brother's arms, and he returned the hug.
Princess Lydia : I missed you.
Montgomery : I missed you too, I see you're still wearing the Golden dress.
Princess Lydia : I like Gold, is that a problem?
Montgomery : No, just a thought is all.
Princess Lydia : Did you win?
Montgomery : Yep, totally worth it, and I got the Trophy.
Princess Lydia : Whoa.
Montgomery showed his sister to trophy, and she smiled.
The Trophy was a decent size, and have a pole in each corner, and the middle of the trophy was a player swinging his baseball bat, and the top of the trophy where the four poles met was a Golden Baseball.
Montgomery : I don't care what most of the people my age say, playing Baseball in the Snow was pretty fun, especially since we should use Snowballs instead of Baseballs.
Just then, Lloyd entered Lydia's Room, and he saw his son standing there.
Lloyd : Montgomery.
Montgomery : Father!
Montgomery threw himself into Lloyd's arms, and tears left his eyes.
Lloyd : I missed you, Son.
Montgomery : I missed you too, and we won.
Lloyd : Really?
Princess Lydia : Yep, he did.
Lloyd saw the Trophy was on Lydia's desk, and smiled
Lloyd : Proud of you, Like I said when you first got into the sport Son, if you have a dream then chase it.
Montgomery : And I got it.
Princess Lydia : Where's Mommy?
Lloyd : She's talking to your Grandmother, you two can go see them if you want.
Montgomery : Alright, come on sis.
Lydia took off her Cape, and her Golden Headpiece, and Lloyd quickly helped her rub off her makeup, and he kissed her before letting her go with her brother.
Montgomery : I will say sis, your hair looks a lot better that way.
Princess Lydia : Thank you.
Lydia grew her hair out, and due to Poliosis, her hair was naturally white, Lydia had her long white hair with long bangs and fashioned in a high ponytail, and had strands of her hair over her right shoulder, and one of her bangs parted over her forehead all the way down towards her left cheek. ( Lydia's Hair looked much like Harumi's when she wore her Princess outfit, only Lydia doesn't wear the Golden Headpiece ).
4 Minutes Later, in Lloyd and Harumi's Room.
Misako : So maybe if Lydia wants to find a way to be with Charlie, maybe you should let her.
Empress Harumi : After this long I would have guess both sides of their love would have faded, in any similar way to-
Misako : My son still loving you, even after what you said?
Empress Harumi : Yes.
Misako : Harumi. . . Lydia hasn't seen any of the kids in almost half of a year, and who knows how or why her memories of that are fading away, almost like she's a stranger to them.
Empress Harumi : Lydia resembles the best part of who I am now, She's strong and passionate, and I know she will do great things as Empress of Ninjago, but what worries me is that, with the Sons of Garmadon, if she isn't careful, and they may even use the Masks on her, what's worrying me is-
Misako : She'll no longer be the daughter you recognize?
Harumi nodded her head and Misako sighed.
Empress Harumi : My daughter has changed, for what it's worth, I don't regret who she's become, we've all got to spend time with Lydia in the Palace over the past half year, and she seems the like the way she's changed, stepping away from the fighting and running around protecting Ninjago, and living her life as a Princess alongside the rest of us, Lydia says she's just that now, and it's who she wants to be.
Just then somebody knocked on the door and walked in.
Empress Harumi : Montgomery.
Montgomery : Mom!
Montgomery ran to hug his Mother, and Harumi returned the hug, and Lydia let her brother have his moment.
Empress Harumi : I missed you.
Montgomery : I missed you too, and do not say I told you so, when I won that game.
Misako : Montgomery, you guys won?
Montgomery : Yep, I left the Trophy in Lydia's Room.
Montgomery then hugged his Grandmother, and Misako returned the hug, and Lydia hugged them as well.
After Lydia was done with her hug, she was about to walk back to her room before she got her brother's attention.
Princess Lydia : You coming, brother?
Montgomery : Yea, I'm coming.
Montgomery held Lydia's hand and they left Lloyd and Harumi's Room.
Montgomery has blonde tousled hair ( Exactly like Lloyd's from Season 7 ), and does have a Ninja suit, since before he left the palace, Lloyd did train him a bit in the ways of the Ninja, but only in fighting styles.
February 15th, 9:45 p.m.
Siddie saw Hutchins enter a passage way, and after seeing what he was suspiciously doing, she followed him, and was searching the tunnels.
Siddie lost Hutchins, but she saw a weird green glow and she went to see what it was.
Siddie : *Gasp* Blast Sap. . . guys, come in, Blast Sap, there's Blast Sap, I saw Hutchins!
Charlie : Siddie, you have a bad signal!
The Blast Sap started reacting, and Siddie ran.
Siddie : We need to get the Royal Family out now, the whole Royal Palace is rigged to Explode, it was Hutchins!
Felicia : Then we need to get the Royal Family out of here!
Eric and Liv nodded and they were about to run into the Palace when the doors exploded and the blast sent Felicia and Eric back too, and the gates behind them exploded as well, and the Guards started attacking.
Liv : Blown up again, this place cannot catch a break.
Felicia saw the bikers arriving and pulled out her weapon and so did Eric, before he turned around.
Eric : Liv, Get up!
Liv pulled out her daggers and saw Mr. E in front of her, and who she saw next really upset her.
Ultraviolet : What a beautiful night for some Revenge and Mayhem!, and it's great to see you again. . . "Tempest".
Liv : Okay, that was just a nickname, and you're dead.
Felicia : Get her!
Felicia and Liv charged at Ultraviolet and she kicked Liv in the stomach sending her back, and Grabbed Felicia and spun her around on her bike before throwing her against the stairs.
Eric : Pfft, Girls.
Eric pulled out his spear and charged before Ultraviolet kicked up dust from the ground, making Eric cough, and she kicked his chest, sending him to Felicia.
Felicia : You okay, Eric?
Eric : Yes.
Ultraviolet and the Bikers then went Inside the Palace, and the three of them tried to keep the rest of the bikers outside.
The Royal Guards were holding most of the Bikers on the ground near the Gate, while the ones on bikes were driving into the Hallways, and in one of the Main hallways, Charlie was standing there watching the Bikers come at him.
Charlie jumped and kicked one of the Bikers off their bike making it crash into the fire, and he saw Hutchins and held him against a pole.
Hutchins : What are you?-
Charlie : You did this, you helped them!
Hutchins : I had nothing to do with this, young boy.
Charlie : Siddie said she saw you in the tunnels underneath the Palace, with the Explosives!
Hutchins : Whatever Siddie saw, it wasn't Me, I have served this Palace for the better part of my life, and have sworn to protect the Royal Family-
Just then Hutchins heard Ultraviolet's "War Cry" and he grabbed Charlie and threw him out of the the way.
Hutchins : Watch Out!
Charlie : You, saved me.
Ultraviolet drove her bike and tried to attack Charlie and Hutchins, while Charlie pulled out his Mace and fought back.
Hutchins : Does anybody have eyes on The Gold Princess?!
Xavier and Richard approached Lydia's Room which was covered in flaming debris.
Richard : Where is she?
Xavier scanned and saw Lydia coughing under the debris.
Xavier : There!
Richard used his powers to put out some of the Fire, and pulled the debris off of Lydia.
Lydia removed her headpiece, and saw Richard reaching for Lydia's hand.
Richard : Come with us, Princess.
Lydia grabbed Richard's hand and they started leaving Lydia's Room
Xavier : We need to get you out of here.
After about 15 Seconds, a loud sound went off and they turned around.
Lydia saw a huge piece of flaming debris fell from the roof and covered her room.
Princess Lydia : My Room. . . it's gone.
Richard : Be glad you're still here Princess, come on!
Lydia nodded and ran with Xavier and Richard.
Meanwhile. . .
Alex and Nina were fighting off the Sons of Garmadon in the Courtyard and had just finished when they saw Mr. E was about to attack them.
Princess Alex : Oh great.
Nina : Now what?
Person : Ninja-Go!
The girls saw Green Spinjitzu, and when it stopped, there was a boy fighting Mr. E and he hit his helmet with his metal bat and he fell down the stairs.
Person : Stupid bikers.
Nina : I'm Sorry, who the heck are you?
Person : The name's Montgomery, I'm Princess Lydia's brother. . . come on!
Nina and Alex followed Montgomery inside the Palace, and they went to defend the Mask, but Mr. E quickly got up and ran inside another way.
Meanwhile. . .
Richard, Xavier, and Lydia were running towards Hutchins and Charlie.
Ultraviolet grabbed her Sai out of the pole and was about to stab Hutchins when Xavier did Spinjitzu.
Xavier : Ninja-Go!
He then covered Ultraviolet in Ice and threw her into the wall, leaving her Frozen.
Charlie : You're Okay.
Princess Lydia : But what about The Mask?
Hutchins : I'll watch Lydia, don't let them steal that Mask.
Xavier and Richard went to stop the rest of the bikers. . .
Meanwhile. . .
Mr. E was approaching the Mask, before Nina, Montgomery, and Alex appeared.
Nina : Whoever you are, you should have brought some more help.
Felicia : Hands in the Air!
Nina and Montgomery were on the right side of Mr. E, Felicia and Richard were on the left, and Siddie and Alex were behind him.
Mr. E pulled something out, and playfully pointed at it.
Nina : The Mask of Vengeance.
Mr. E put on the Mask, and there was some red power emitting from his arms, and fire from his eyes, as the horns came out of the Mask, and once he stood up he had two arms more than he previously had.
Montgomery : Like Four arms is anything new, Get him!
The Young Ninjas charged, and began attacking Mr.E, but with Four Arms and Four Swords, and the Mask itself, they couldn't stop his attacks.
Felicia and Eric then tried to used their powers, but Mr.E used the Swords to block them.
Nina : Can any of us stop this Clown?
Liam came up from behind the others, and blasted Mr. E with his power and it sent him into the Fire.
Eric : Oh my gosh. . .
Felicia : Liam, what did you do?!
Montgomery : Uh, Guys, that didn't do anything. . .
Mr. E jumped out of the Fire, and Nina used her powers, but the Swords absorbed it, and created a blastwave to send the Young Ninjas back.
Liam : Okay, that hurt.
Mr. E grabbed the Mask and Felicia used her powers again, but she hit the Mask and it turned into dust.
Mr. E turned his anger on Felicia and Eric used his commset.
Eric : Charlie, I think your sister just destroyed The Mask of Deception.
Charlie : What?!
Hutchins : Don't worry that one was a fake, I procured the real one from the vaults beneath the Palace.
Princess Lydia : A Fake?
Hutchins : Forgive me, your highness, it is the Mask of Deception, I wasn't sure if I could trust The Young Ninja, but I do now.
Charlie smiled and Hutchins opened a secret passage, Just as Harumi and Misako entered the Throne Room and held off the bikers while Hutchins was talking.
Princess Lydia : What now?
Hutchins : Charlie, take it, and get The Gold Princess out of here.
Princess Lydia : But what about my Daddy?!
Hutchins : I will find him Lydia.
Charlie : I was wrong about you.
Hutchins : Go!
Charlie grabbed Lydia's hand and let her through the passageway.
Hutchins closed the Passage and stopped the last of the Bikers.
Hutchins : Misako, Empress, come with me!
Harumi got up, and grabbed Misako's arm and they both followed Hutchins.
2 Minutes Later. . .
Charlie led Lydia outside the Passageway, and they saw they were Outside near the Palace Gates.
Just then a huge explosion went off.
Princess Lydia : That was the Throne Room!
Charlie kicked one of the bikers off of his Motorcycle and grabbed it.
Charlie : Get on!
Lydia grabbed one of the biker's helmets, and got onto the Bike with Charlie, and she held The Mask of Deception.
Charlie revved the engine and took off with Princess Lydia.
Chopper Maroon : Hey, they have the Mask!
Ultraviolet : Don't let them escape!
Ultraviolet and about 6 other bikers gave chase after Charlie and Lydia.
After about 1 Minutes, they were on the Freeways trying to escape, and Lydia gasped and had a concerned look on her face when she saw them catching up.
Princess Lydia : They're right behind us!
Charlie drove around a line of trucks, and Ultraviolet got stuck behind them.
Ultraviolet : Oh, Come on!
Ultraviolet jumped over the trucks and they crashed and took out one of the bikers, and knocked down three of the citizens' vehicles
Charlie saw a line of Semi-Trucks and he got an idea.
Charlie : Hold on.
Charlie moved directly in front of a truck, and slowly moved around another as he turned of the Motorcycle's Lights, and he moved around a second truck and stayed in the dark until Ultraviolet and her troops went far ahead.
Charlie waved to the Driver and he nodded and Charlie turned the bike around and jumped onto a different Freeway.
Ultraviolet saw them driving away, and she growled.
Charlie and Lydia both looked back and didn't see anybody.
Charlie : Good, we lost em'.
Ultraviolet jumped off the Freeway and was ahead of Charlie and Lydia as she stopped her bike and stared at them, when Charlie was approaching her.
Charlie : Really, this girl again?!
Charlie pulled out his word, and while holding the Mask, Lydia wrapped one of her arms around Charlie's waist, and he revved the engine and charged at Ultraviolet.
Ultraviolet did the same and started charging and was using the street to sharpen her Sai.
Charlie : Liddy, keep your head down!
Lydia put her head down move on Charlie's shoulder to make sure she wouldn't get hurt.
Charlie and Ultraviolet clashed weapons and after they got a good distance apart they hit their brakes and turned around.
But Charlie hit Lydia's arm making her drop one important thing. . .
They saw what was in the Middle of them. . .
Charlie and Lydia : *Gasp*
Princess Lydia : The Mask!
Charlie and Ultraviolet charged for it and Lydia tried to grab the Mask but Ultraviolet ended up having it in her hands.
Ultraviolet : Ha ha, Oh yea.
Princess Lydia : We have to get it!
Charlie : No, we have to get you out of here.
Charlie jumped the Bike off of the Freeway and headed towards the Docks where all the Longshoreman were working, and Charlie was driving around the Cargo Containers trying to lose the Bikers.
Charlie and Ultraviolet were driving on the docks, when Charlie and Lydia were heading straight for a boat.
Princess Lydia : It's a dead end!
Charlie : Well, we're not dead yet!
Ultraviolet looked up in Surprise when Charlie jumped over the boat and landed on a bigger ship behind it.
The Motorcycle landed on the deck, and Charlie grabbed Lydia's hand.
Charlie : This way, Princess.
Ultraviolet and her troops stopped at the dock and she slightly laughed.
Ultraviolet : Bad Call, you can't hide from me Young Ninja.
Because of how dark it is, and from how long it's been, and all the covers on the Ship, Lydia didn't know what ship she was on.
Princess Lydia : Charlie, what are you thinking, we can't get away from them in this thing.
Charlie : Hey now, this thing still has quite a few surprises in her.
Charlie started hitting buttons on the console, and Lydia was still confused.
Princess Lydia : Charlie, they aren't gonna just let us sail away.
Charlie kicked the console to get the ship to turn online, and he smiled at Lydia seriously.
Charlie : Who said anything about Sailing?
The Ship's thrusters turned on and the ship started going into the air.
Chopper Maroon : It's Charlie's Ship!
The ship got in the air and started flying away.
Ultraviolet : Nooooooo!
The ship flew away and was now flying high above the city and Lydia was smiling in joy from the sight.
Princess Lydia : *Sigh* even from the one time I used my Dragon, I've never seen the City from this high before.
Charlie : Well your highness, welcome aboard The Amber's Grace.
Lydia then gasped when she forgot something.
Charlie : What?
Princess Lydia : My Dragon!
Charlie : Princess, what do you Mean?
Princess Lydia : My pet dragon. . . he's still in the Palace!
Charlie : I'll message the others about that, but first we need to keep moving, okay?
The ship slightly stalled and Charlie kept his hands on the wheel.
Charlie : Let's go get my friends.
Princess Lydia : Okay.
Lydia then smiled at the view of the city again
As the ship flew away and was heading back towards The Royal Palace.
February 16th, 7:03 a.m.
The Sun was rising again, and the Young Ninjas were climbing back onto a Freeway, and they were groaning in pain and exhaust.
Nina : Oh, my, god.
Richard : Is everybody okay?
Siddie : I'm fine.
Xavier : Affirmative.
Liam : I'm Okay.
Felicia : We shouldn't be worrying about ourselves.
The Young Ninjas look back at the Palace as none of them saw Hutchins, Misako, Lloyd, Montgomery or Empress Harumi since the Palace Throne Room Exploded.
Just then another "dark" figure appeared on the highway, carrying a young boy in her arms.
Liv : Over here, kids!
Liam : Mom!
Liam ran over and hugged her Mother, glad she was still alive, but when he looked down his smile faded.
Liam : Montgomery.
Liv : He's still alive, I gave him what I had left of my Healing Tea. . .
He coughed and slowly started opening his eyes.
Liam : Wait, he's coming around.
Montgomery : What happened?
Liv : The Palace exploded, that's what happened.
Liam helped his cousin stand up, and they all looked back at the Palace, or what was left of it.
They looked up and saw The Amber's Grace, and Felicia smiled.
Felicia : It's my brother.
Charlie brought The Amber's Grace down, and stopped it next to Freeway's Railing, so the others could climb aboard.
Charlie immediately hugged his sister, glad she was okay.
Felicia : I'm okay Charlie.
Charlie : Good.
They went up to the Bridge and saw Lydia standing there waiting for them.
Xavier : The Mask?
Charlie : Stolen. . .
Lydia was about to say something when Liv and Liam helped Montgomery get on the ship.
Princess Lydia : Brother!
Lydia got down from the bridge and hugged her brother glad he was okay.
Montgomery : It's okay Sis, I'm not going anywhere.
Princess Lydia : Thank you, Aunt Liv.
Liv : Of course.
Liam : Let's get up to the bridge.
Everybody was in the bridge but they all turned to Lydia when she asked a question they didn't want to answer.
Princess Lydia : What happened to my Grammy, or my Mother, what about Hutchins, and my Daddy?. . . are they?
Nina came forward and a tear went down her cheek.
Nina : I'm sorry Princess, We don't think they made it.
Lydia gasped, and she went forward and looked at the Remains of the Royal Palace.
And from her sniffling, they could tell she was on the verge of crying.
Felicia : We're sorry, Lydia.
Eric : We'll find out who was responsible for this.
Liv fought back her tears, and kneeled down next to Lydia and hugged her
Liv : One thing Lloyd told me inside that Palace, was if he didn't make it, and he didn't need to finish for me to understand what he was asking. . . I promised my brother I would watch you Lydia, and It's one I'm going to keep.
Liam : And Cus.
Princess Lydia : Yes?
Liam handed Lydia a blank hardcover book, and it was Cream and Yellow colored, and the cover was written in Green and Gold Crayon, and it said Lydia's Journal.
Princess Lydia : Thanks.
Liv : I promise you Lydia, I won't let anything happen to you.
Lydia threw herself into Liv's arms, and she returned the hug, as Lydia slowly started crying.
Princess Lydia : Thank you. . . but I'm alone again.
Charlie : You're with all of us now Lydia, and we won't let them hurt you, and for the first time In a long time, I say when we find out who's behind this, we take the fight to them!
Nina grabbed the wheel of The Amber's Grace and flew away from Ninjago City.
Charlie took the moment to hold Lydia's hand to calm her down, and through her tears, she smiled at him.
and he did the same back. . .
Next Time on The Masks of Garmadon : The Young Ninjas then try to discover The Sons of Garmadon's Leader, now that Lydia is safe, while Harumi, Misako, Hutchins, and Lloyd are all marked Presumed Dead, while Liv mentions who she thinks may have taken the Role of Leadership, but her guess is proven wrong, as who she thought was the leader, ends up dead next, but the question is, Who's not only searching for the Masks, but Hunting Lydia's Family, and why?
Who's Leading The Sons of Garmadon? Will Lydia stay safe with Charlie? What Mask will they come across Next?
