"Rohan!" Okuyasu pointed angrily at the artist. "You can't just use your stand ability on an innocent kid!"
Okuyasu looked down at Diya's unconscious body. Rohan inspected his blue uniform as Okuyasu continued his gaze upwards. The skin on his neck was a russet, reddish-brown, which was a vast contrast with how his face looked now.
His eyes were closed. He almost looked peaceful, but what Okuyasu saw was a common, yet always unsettling sight. Diya's face had been peeled to the side, hanging off to the right of his head. Behind his face wasn't gore, but pages of a book.
"Quiet Okuyasu! Heaven's Door is the quickest way to find out what we need to know. He claims to have no Stand, but how do you know he isn't lying?" Rohan squatted down by Okuyasu's car and began reading the pages behind Diya's face. "Don't bother bringing your issues to me if you have objections to how I deal with them."
"The kid almost cried when he saw The Hand for the first time this morning! I don't think he's an enemy." Okuyasu argued, but it was clear Rohan was lost in Diya's pages.
"My name is Diya Nagata," Rohan began reading out loud. "I am 16 years old. I am a sophomore at Morioh Central."
"Rohan, stop," Okuyasu protested.
"My parents are Ichiro and Yui Nagata. I was adopted at 17 months old. I was born somewhere in Northern Africa," Rohan continued. "I have a number of anxiety disorders. I am afraid of the desert, amusement parks, dogs, m-"
"Rohan!" Okuyasu was ready to swing his fist at Rohan.
At the moment Okuyasu began to swing, Rohan stood up. As Okuyasu missed his swing and stumbled, he looked down to see Diya's face close it's pages.
"There is nothing I read indicating that he might have a Stand." Rohan said.
Diya opened his eyes as he heard Rohan speak. As he regained his senses, he quickly backed up against the car, as far as he could stay from Rohan.
"I-I-I," Diya began to stammer, "Wh-What was th-th-"
"Forgive me. As a Stand user, I can never be too careful when someone I haven't heard of can see a Stand." Rohan explained. He truly felt guilty for the intense interest he had shown in Diya's memories. "I am Rohan Kishibe," he formally introduced himself.
Diya sensed that his hero now meant no harm. That did no good in easing his anxiety. Diya felt as though his heart would beat out of its chest.
"B-big f-f-fan," Diya managed before pulling himself into the car, never taking eyes off Rohan.
"So the kid doesn't have a Stand?" Okuyasu asked, seeing as Diya was too afraid to.
"Heaven's Door can only read what the target knows. It cannot know the unknown, nor can it even detect the presence of the unknown."
"What is that even supposed to mean?" Okuyasu demanded. "This guy is such a know-it-all…" he mumbled to Diya.
"It simply means that if Diya doesn't know his own Stand, then Heaven's Door won't provide any information on it, or even if he has one." Rohan explained, annoyed by Okuyasu's questions. "I once fought a stand known as Cheap Trick. The user had no idea he had a Stand. When I used Heaven's Door, it told me nothing of his Stand."
"So what are we supposed to do?" Okuyasu asked Rohan.
"I don't know," Rohan yawned. He turned and began to walk back into his house. "Frankly, I have other things to worry about first. Come back on Friday, I will have an answer by then."
Once he reached the door, Rohan rested his hand on the door and looked back at Okuyasu.
"But you should be careful, Okuyasu Nijimura." Rohan said coldly. "Sometimes, an unknown Stand can be more dangerous than a known one." Rohan turned back around and shut the door before Okuyasu or Diya could ask any questions.
"Hey get back out here!" Okuyasu yelled. He was furious to be left hanging. Okuyasu craved action again. It had been years since he had been on an adventure.
Diya thought of Rohan's words as he shut the car door and stared forward, shaking. Okuyasu stood facing the mansion with his fists clenched. Okuyasu took a deep breath and got into the driver's side door.
"Don't think too much about what Rohan said," Okuyasu tried to reassure an upset Diya. "He went through some shit back in the day. We all did…" Okuyasu looked down. Diya didn't respond.
From a hill top down the street, Toshikazu Hazamada watched Okuyasu's car drive away.
Why are you hanging around with Rohan, Okuyasu? Don't you two hate each other?
