The Masks of Garmadon
ItsYoGreenGirl : You'll see who the Quiet One is in time, and by the way, your review from Chapter 3, yea that was a Marvel Reference right there, I'm a pretty big fan of Luis' funny actions, especially the Truth Serum, and interesting reaction, but just because Xavier says Harumi is the Quiet One, doesn't mean she is, and that's an interesting guess that The Father of the Formlings, as well as The Man of Many Secrets may now be the Quiet One, especially since Brenden is Harumi's Brother, but we'll all have to wait and see, so check out Chapter 6.
Chapter 6 : Dead Man's Squall
Last Time on The Masks of Garmadon : Charlie, Kai, Nina and the others try locating The Oni's Mercenaries, while Nya helps teach and show Lydia more about tools, while Nya questions Lydia saying she doesn't want to be a Ninja, and Lydia says she likes herself the way she is as The Gold Princess, and she just wants to be herself, just before Alex sends Eric a text, concerned about Xavier blowing their cover, and Eric leaves to help, and they blow Xavier's Cover to keep their own alive, just as Xavier hears Killow say their leader is "The Quiet One" which was a shock to Nya and Liv's ears, but a confusion to Lydia, just a short time after, they escape, and Killow inducts The Oni's Mercenaries ( Alex, Eric, Siddie, and Richard ) Into the Sons of Garmadon, with Lydia talking to Nya about Charlie, to see if he would go for her, since Lydia still doesn't have many of her memories, it felt like starting over, and she wanted to do it better and do it right this time, with Nya saying he would, making her happy. . .

The Young Ninja find Xavier unconscious in the desert, with Charlie, Nya, and Nina going to help him.
Charlie : Xavier, can you hear me?
Nya : What have they done to him?
Nina : Surely my brother and the others didn't do this.
Charlie : Doubtful.
Nya : We need to get him online, and fast.
Charlie : Dad, lower the gurney, Xavier's in bad shape down here.
Kai : On it.
Kai lowers the gurney and the others get him onto the Ship.
12 Minutes Later. . .
The Young Ninjas surrounded Xavier on the Gurney, which was hooking to Machines.
Charlie : Haze, how bad is it?
Hazel : He has extensive damage to all of his Systems.
Nya : Can you save him?
Hazel : Not exactly, I can transfer my systems into the Computer again for the Meantime, and transfer the power to critical life, but Xavier will have to do most of the work and reboot himself.
Lydia was standing in between Nina and Kai and spoke.
Princess Lydia : You think there's anything we can do?
Charlie : Liddy, we need to keep moving, or the Sons of Garmadon will find us. . . and we can't let them get their hands on The Key.
Kai : I still don't get why Alex gave us that message earlier if she, Eric, Siddie, and Richard planned to join The Sons of Garmadon.
Felicia : Yea, and from what they said, and how they were racing, it seemed like they weren't joining as a ruse.
Nya : We don't know that yet Felicia, and even if they are, them joining brought them closer to the Masks, and if they think joining the Sons of Garmadon was a good idea, Eric knows he can always take the Mask and run.
Charlie : And if Alex's Message may be a clue to the key to the Mask of Hatred, then we need to disappear, and get as far away from Ninjago City as we can.
Nina : That doesn't feel right Charlie, abandoning Ninjago City.
Charlie : We're not abandoning it. . . there are others who will look after the City.
Kai : Like who?
Nya : Well there's Hazel. . . wherever she Is.
Nina : Not to mention The Elemental Masters all live in and around the city, if we aren't there, then they will be.
Felicia : Then there's Harmony and Landon Vain.
Charlie : Right, and they'll have to cover for us until we get a hand on this problem, Aunt Nya, set a course, anywhere but here.
Nya : On it.
The Following Day, 4:05 p.m.
The Young Ninja had nothing else major happen in the past day, until Felicia left for the City for some reason and came back with something surprising.
The Kids were in the Sleeping Quarters with Kai and Liv, and they were trying to take care of a problem.
That problem was the baby crying in there, that Felicia said she found in one of the Sons of Garmadon's Outposts in the City.
Kai : All I know is that this baby, isn't supposed to be one.
Liv : What does that Mean?
Nina : Hazel said her scans found proof of Temporal Powers greatly accelerating and then reversing the aging, so right now Nya's trying to finish the Tomorrow's Tea to turn back to their Normal age.
Charlie : Who do you think it is?
Maya : No Clue.
Liv : I'll be right back.
Liv left the room but the crying still hadn't stopped.
Kai : This is getting annoying!
Just as Kai stopped talking, so did the crying.
The others were confused until they saw Lydia singing, and they watched as she softly sang to the baby.
Princess Lydia : Goodnight, and may your dreams be wonderful, hush a bye, hush a bye, and Goodnight to you and, may your dreams be as wonderful as You, so sleep deep, Because the spider's in the house. Sleep sleep. The spider bit the mouse. Sleep deep. Don't wake up or else you'll find a spider in your mouth.
The baby cooed, and then fell asleep, and she turned around and saw the others.
Ray : Wow Princess, you're really good at that.
Princess Lydia : Oh, he's just sleepy, I can't blame him after this much excitement, he'll go to sleep now.
Kai suddenly had a flashback of Harumi singing the same song, and he smiled as Lydia left the room, guessing her Mother is where she got it from.
Charlie followed Lydia up to the deck, and Liv walked back into the room with Alizah and Liam.
Liam : Hey guys.
Montgomery : Hey.
Alizah : Where was the elegant voice coming from?
Liv : Was I the only one who heard singing?
Maya : It was the Princess.
Liv had the same flashback as Kai, and she chuckled and shook her head playfully after she came back.
Liv : I remember that song, I guess I know where Lydia got it from.
Kai : That's what I was thinking.
Meanwhile on the Deck of The Amber's Grace. . .
"I have no clue what this adventure will have in store for me, without my Mommy or Daddy, even when I still have my aunt, my cousins, and my brother, I still feel completely alone, because my Parents and my Grammy were the ones always beside me every step of the way, and... without them, I feel like I can't do anything besides wait and see if there's a chance they somehow made it, but with this much Crime, it's very scary just to think about their survival, knowing they may not last my longer, but one thing my Aunt Liv, and Charlie have told me, is that regardless of who I am, I shouldn't quit, and I should always be happy with what I have left, and if that's true, I hope my brother feels the same way. . ."
Lydia and Charlie were walking towards the railing in the middle of the Ship's deck
Charlie : My Grandfather told me they called this place The Dead Man's Squall.
Lydia then figured she should talk about how she was feeling, and the same was in Charlie's Mind.
Princess Lydia : It looks like I'm finally gonna get my wish.
Charlie then remembered Lydia once talking to him about going on an adventure outside Ninjago City.
Charlie : Yes you will.
Princess Lydia : It's pretty scary, not knowing what you will find, I mean we have no idea what's out there.
Charlie : That's part of Exploring, you never know what's gonna be there.
Princess Lydia : I guess I should be glad I have you and the other Young Ninja here with me, but what about The Oni's Mercenaries?
Charlie : Who's to say how long Alex and Eric had their group with Siddie and Richard, it's been half of a year, who's to say what they did with their lives. . . what about you, my Aunt Nya said you didn't even want to be a Ninja
Princess Lydia : I don't know, I just...
Charlie put his hand on Lydia's Shoulder, and she sighed and continued to talk.
Princess Lydia : Over everything that's happened, Even if it wasn't permanent, I couldn't handle the pain and fear that keep going through Me, and after telling my Mommy and Daddy how I felt, that's why they confined me to the palace, as soon as they got their chance when The Sons of Garmadon risen once again, when I asked why, they told me everything, and wanted to enforce the guard, bring back Hutchins and give him his job, just to keep The Sons of Garmadon away from Me.
Charlie : Did they say why?
Princess Lydia : They wanted to try and get back to their lives, and So did I, and for that time, It was the happiest I had ever been in my life, no fighting, no problems, I finally just got to have peace in my life, and I got to spend almost every day with my Mommy and Daddy, and any time my Aunt Liv came over with Liam and Alizah made it even better, same with my Grammy, and my Brother, It finally helped me see how lucky I was to have all of them as my family, and it made me even happier to be The Gold Princess, and I still am happy to be the Princess now, and I don't want to go back into fighting or all of that when the times comes, I just want to be Me.
Charlie shook his head, and took his hand off of Lydia's shoulder, he couldn't blame her, that she wanted to finally choose a path, Ninja or Princess, and she already made her choice. . . and he couldn't be upset at her, and Lydia kept talking.
Princess Lydia : Do you, remember much about your Grandfather, before you saved him during the Tournament, after he escaped The Departed Realm, and on the Island, when he was...bad?
Charlie : No, not really, I was too young, But what your parents, especially after hearing you, um?
Princess Lydia : Sing?
Charlie : Yea.
Princess Lydia : I was then and still am now incredibly scared of almost anything I may come across, My Mommy and Daddy sang that song to Me all the time, and even still did now, before what happened. . . It almost became a normal part of my life, hearing them sing to Me that I knew it all by my own heart, hearing their voices, like that, and even nearly a third of the nights, when I'm in their room instead of my own, It makes me happy to see that they truly cared, and loved me so much, as they stayed with me even after I closed my eyes.
Charlie : Do, you still remember or, see them much?
Princess Lydia : Lately they're always in my dreams, right there beside Me, It's like they're still here, but then I-I wake up, and-
Charlie put his hand on Lydia's shoulder and smiled.
Charlie : You're not alone, Liddy.
Lydia smiled, and then put her hand on his shoulder, and Charlie smiled.
Princess Lydia : Neither are you, I know it must be difficult thinking they may have all faced Death, and they are trying to use the Oni Masks to bring your Mother, and your Grandfather back, and I can't imagine what must be going through your head. Whatever happens, I'll be here.
Lydia leaned in to kiss Charlie, but he backed away a few moments before she could
Charlie : Uh. I better go see what the, Um. I have to go, uh, that way. . .
Charlie walked away leaving Lydia on the deck.
Princess Lydia : Nya was right, he is a bit shy.
Liv : Lydia.
Princess Lydia : Yea?
Lydia turned and saw Liv and Montgomery, and she had them sit down for a minute, and Liv handed them the picture of them with their family
Liv : I want you two to hear me when I say this, I know it's heartbreaking that your parents, and your grandmother may be gone, and even if they are, they're going to a better place, but that doesn't mean that you too are alone, I promised your Father I would look after you. . .
Princess Lydia : We know, it's just there's been nothing but disappearances and resurfaces in our Family, and when my brother got home, I thought it would be different.
Montgomery : Lydia, so did I, but everything it our lives happens for a reason.
Liv : He's right Lydia, and I know when Montgomery came back, you were hoping for us all to be together one more time, but, after the last time The Sons of Garmadon were a "Major" part of my life, it was made clear that wasn't possible, the five of us are all that's left, Me, my kids, and my brother's.
Princess Lydia : I know.
Liv : Hey, I'm not going anywhere, I promised my brother, and now I'm promising you, I'm going to take care of you Lydia, you're still the Princess, and your brother is still the Prince-
Princess Lydia : No matter how much he doubts it.
Montgomery : Ha ha.
Liv : But still, The Palace and everything in it, can be replaced, but you and your brother can't, that's why I made that promise, I'm not going to let anything happen to you two, because I'm your aunt, and I love you.
Montgomery and Lydia stood up and hugged Liv, and she returned the hug.
Montgomery walked away after a few seconds, but Lydia stayed for another moment and hugged Liv.
Princess Lydia : I love you, Aunt Liv.
Liv : I love you too, Lydia.
12 Minutes Later. . .
Kai and Nya were in their quarters, looking at the picture from when they were teenagers, and they saw the one of them with Liv and Lloyd. . .
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
Liv : Hey guys.
Nya : Hi, Liv.
Liv : You guys need a Minute?
Kai : No, Come in.
Liv came in and closed the door behind her, and she walked over to her friends.
Liv : What are you looking at?
Nya : Memories.
Liv sighed when she saw the picture, because it was reminding her of when her brother.
Liv : You guys aren't the only ones who miss him.
Kai : We know, but. . . It's hard, Lloyd was our best friend, and to think he went out of the world, from the fate he was trying to protect his daughter from, is-
Liv : Another thing he had in common with Harumi?
Nya : Yea, there's that.
Kai : Not just that, but, not only is our best friend gone, for so is Lydia and Montgomery's Father, the Young Ninja's Mentor-
Liv : Garmadon's Son?
Kai : Yea, that too.
Liv : Who's to say where Wu is at this point, nobody's seen him for a while, but to be honest, at this point, I don't think Lydia or Montgomery seem to care a whole lot, they just lost everything, and. . . so did I.
Nya : We can understand Liv, Jay's Missing-
Kai : Skylor and Chen are Missing.
Liv : Which means not only did you guys lose your best friend, but I lost Mine.
Nya : That's something the three of us are going through right now, missing people that were important in our lives.
Liv : Or our kids' lives, and that's what's worrying Me, that the kids may never recover if they lose the people that mean the most to them, but in Lydia and Montgomery's Case, it's already happened.
Nya : That may be, but Liam, Montgomery, Alizah, and Lydia are all very special, and both you and Lloyd have said and proved such, and you said you made a promise to Lloyd to take care of Lydia and Montgomery, even if you aren't sure how at this time, but you made a promise, you don't have to keep it alone Liv.
Kai : She's right, for now I'm watching Charlie and Felicia.
Nya : That and until my son get's back i'm stuck with Jay Jr.
Liv, Kai, and Nya laughed at what Nya just said about Nina, and after that moment passed they continued talking.
Liv : I understand, and you guys are right, it's just. . . hard I guess.
Kai : Life isn't supposed to be easy Liv, but that doesn't mean it's supposed to be hard either, and we'll be here for you, and the kids if you ever need us.
Nya : And I'm sure you would do the same for us.
Liv : Of course I would.
Nya : So keep that in Mind, if watching Four "Garmadon Demon Spawns" ever get's too hard, just let us know.
Liv : Thank you.
Liv hugged her friends, and then left Kai and Nya alone in their quarters.
15 Minutes Later. . .
A loud lightning strike went off, and it scared Lydia as she was standing on the deck, but it was very windy and it was going to start raining in a moment, but with how cold and strong the winds were, she couldn't move.
Princess Lydia : *Scream*
Charlie immediately went out onto the deck and saw Lydia wearing her hood, and she was holding her arms, and shivering.
Charlie : Liddy?
Princess Lydia : Charlie. . .
Charlie gave a light smile as he wrapped his left arm around Lydia and used his powers to form a small fire in his hands.
While she was still shivering in cold and freight, Lydia gave a small smile to Charlie.
Charlie : Come on.
Charlie kept his left arm wrapped around Lydia with his fire ignited, and held Lydia's right hand with his other hand, and walked her towards the bridge.
He let his powers stop for a moment so he wouldn't burn his hand, and Nya was steering the ship when she saw Lydia.
Nya : Lydia are you okay?
Princess Lydia : I-I, I'm, S-s-s-so C-c-c-c-c-Cold.
Nya : Charlie, get her below the deck and get her warm.
Charlie : Alright.
Charlie took Lydia's hand and led her below deck so he could get her warm.
Once below deck, Lydia removed her hood, and Charlie reignited his powers as they entered the room where Xavier was unconscious.
Maya : Princess, are you okay?
Charlie : She was on the deck freezing, so I was using my powers to help her.
Lydia slowly stopped shivering, and she and Charlie went by Nina and Montgomery.
Charlie : What's going on?
Alizah : Hazel said she found a message in Xavier's System.
Charlie : What is it?
Hazel : Look.
Hazel displayed the picture, and it was some weird writing.
Nina : Tes neeb sah part ehT, enO teiuQ ehT rof egasseM a si siht.
Kai : What the heck?
Lydia was looking in the mirror on the wall trying to fix her hair, when she could read the writing clearly as she heard Nina mispronouncing it.
Princess Lydia : The writing is backwards, Look in the Mirror.
Charlie walked over to the Mirror and listened to Lydia.
Princess Lydia : "This is a Message for The Quiet One, The trap has been Set."
Liv : Forget quiet or forget about Xavier, I feel we should call Lydia The Smart One.
Lydia smiled at her Aunt and then hugged her, and Liv returned the hug, and Lydia then went to stand beside her cousins and her brother.
Then a small audio played, saying "The trap has been Set" and it made everybody Gasp.
Maya : If Mr. E sent a message, maybe we can locate The Quiet One's whereabouts.
Liv : Do it. . . Hazel.
Hazel : Already on it, The Computer's running a trace scan now.
Charlie : Great, but how long will it take?
Hazel : I have no idea, The storm is interfering with the Computer programming, if we descended to a lower level it could help.
Princess Lydia : But I thought the storm was hiding us, if we head below the clouds, won't it show the Sons of Garmadon where we are?
Charlie : Liddy's right, we're in bad shape right now, and we need to stay in the storm so we don't get spotted.
Nina : So where are we supposed to go?
Felicia : How about here!
Felicia showed the others a Map, and Liv seemed shocked.
20 Minutes Later. . .
The Young Ninja were in the kitchen with Liv, Lydia, Maya, and Kai, talking about the Map.
Kai : I don't get it, why did the Sons of Garmadon have the Map, if The Quiet One is leading these bikers, wouldn't they already know the Temple's location?
Charlie : Dad, does it look like they still have the Map?
Kai knew Charlie and Liv were trying to keep him from talking about "The Quiet One" because if Lydia found this connection out, it may upset or scare her that her Mother may still be alive, even if there still isn't a trace of her, Lloyd, Hutchins, or Misako's remains in the Palace Ruins.
Liv : This part here looks like the Central Part of Ninjago.
Maya : What about the X, you think the Mask if there.
Lydia saw where the others were pointing and she got a sudden thought in her mind.
Princess Lydia : Primeval's Eye!
Just then, everybody looked at Lydia.
Princess Lydia : My Grammy talked to me about it once, it's a huge vast wilderness of death, you go in, and you don't come back out, her friend, another archaeologist, went inside the Eye to try and map the area, but he never came back.
Maya : That sounds like the Perfect place to hide something you don't want anyone to find, a place where you walk in, you're sure to never come out.
Felicia : Thanks for the obvious on that one, Gramma.
Charlie : Felicia, that's enough.
Nina : Got you now, Sucker!
Nina tried to get the last meatball, but she sent the fork into Kai's hand.
Nina : Oh gosh, Uncle Kai, I didn't mean too, just let me-
Kai : No, just no, that's enough.
Maya : Or I'll get it.
Maya yanked the fork out of Kai's hand, and he yelled in pain and anger, which lasted for five seconds.
Just then the power went down
Kai : Oh well that's not a good sign.
Everybody went towards the Bridge to see if Xavier was okay, and Lydia wrapped up the map and put it in her jacket.
2 Minutes Later. . .
Charlie : Hazel what's going on, Come in. . . Hazel!
Kai : I think it's a power failure.
Nina : Or it's a Trap.
Liam : Freaking out won't help us, Nina.
Nya : No, my daughter's right, the backup generators would have kicked in, something's not right here.
Just then, the Power came back on.
Charlie : Hazel, what's going on?!
Hazel : I'm detecting a foreign presence.
Charlie : Foreign, what are you talking about?
Hazel : We're being tracked, I've lost control of The Amber's Grace.
Kai : A Trap, Mr. E planted something on Xavier, and they wanted us to take him In.
Hazel : Something's approaching The Amber's Grace, and fast.
Princess Lydia : What is It?
Hazel put the Image on the screen and they saw what it was.
Hazel : Samurai X.
Nya : Wait what?
Hazel : I don't understand, I can't transfer my systems or control the Ship. . . something's controlling Me!
Alizah : Hazel's the Samurai, weird.
Liv : Not really.
Liam : How is that Possible?
Ray : Called it!
Kai : Dad.
Maya : Ray, you did not!
Ray : Did too.
Princess Lydia : Enough!
Just then, a Laser hit the side of the ship.
A fire appeared and it was coming from the thruster, as it sparked and flames were spewing out of it.
Princess Lydia : We probably needed that right?!
Nya : It's targeting the Thrusters, Charlie if we lose the 2nd back thruster then-
Charlie : I know, we'll fall out of the Sky like the Rain itself. . . Aunt Nya, find that Foreign Source and destroy it, Nina keep this Lightning off us, and I'll try to help as times, everybody else, Get ready to Fight, but we don't want to harm Hazel.
Everybody nodded and went to the deck.
They couldn't see anything though until something caught Charlie's eye.
Charlie : There!
They saw the Mech fly through the clouds and it shot it's Lasers at the Sails next.
Princess Lydia : We're sitting ducks out here!
Charlie : That Lightning's getting too close for me, Nina.
Nina : On it!
Nina tried using to powers to redirect the Lightning, but while she was doing so, the Mech flew around on The Amber's Grace.
Charlie : We can't see a thing in this Storm.
Liv : Montgomery, Alizah!
Alizah : On it!
Montgomery shot his energy at Alizah as she used her powers, and shot them straight up to cause a Supernova and created a Nebula at the same time to provide Light.
Maya : That works
Charlie : Liddy, stay back and take this.
Charlie handed Lydia a Silver Scimitar Dagger that had a yellow band and a Pale Gold Dragon engraved on the Silver Blade.
Princess Lydia : But I don't know how to Fight!
Charlie : But you want to live right?
Lydia grabbed the dagger, and attached the black holster for the dagger to her hip and she drew the dagger.
Charlie : Don't let her get that thruster!
The others began attacking and Charlie and Montgomery tried standing on top of the bridge and using their powers
Which didn't work and the Mech started aiming at Charlie.
Charlie jumped off the top of the bridge and tried using his Mace to hit the Mech, proving successful for a couple of hits, before he fell, and the Mech hit his Mace out of his hands and it got stuck in the wooden deck of the Bounty.
Kai : No, Son!
The Mech was about to hit Charlie. . .
.
Before it did, Lydia hit the Sword away from Charlie with her dagger, and they smiled at each other, before the Mech got back up, and grabbed Lydia and held her in it's hand.
Princess Lydia : *Scream* Charlie!
The Mech jumped off the ship and took Lydia with it.
Charlie : Lydia!!!
Liv : I made a Promise to you, brother. . . Liam come on!
Charlie grabbed his Mace, and he Liv, and Liam jumped off the ship.
Nina : They did not just do that!
Kai : Yep, they did!
On The Mech. . .
Charlie : Hazel, stop this!
Person : There is no Hazel, only The Quiet One!
Liv : Yea, tell that to Pixal who said that the last time.
Charlie hit his Mace across the middle of the Mech and then stabbed it.
The Mech's arm shook and it scared Lydia.
Princess Lydia : *Scream* Be Careful!
Just then, Hazel's body hit the eject button and it sent her flying back up to The Amber's Grace
Charlie : Okay, I did not think that through.
Liam : You think?!
On The Amber's Grace. . .
Hazel's Body landed and it pulled out her swords.
Nina : You're supposed to be our friend!
Kai : Get her!
On The Mech. . .
Liv, Charlie, Liam and Lydia are all still falling through the sky.
Charlie went to free Lydia, and Liv saw she was scared.
Princess Lydia : No, we-we, We're, We're gonna-
Charlie : Look at me, we're gonna get out of this, you hear Me!
Liv : Liam come on!
Liv grabbed her son's hand and she used her Elemental Dragon and followed the Mech.
Charlie pried Lydia from the Mech's hand, and she pulled out the Map.
Princess Lydia : Maybe we can use the Map to Parachute down!
Charlie : What is this a Cartoon, that's never going to work!
Charlie grabbed Lydia by her waist, and moved her to put her inside of the Mech.
Charlie : The Suit should break your fall.
Princess Lydia : What no Charlie, what about you?!
Charlie : Sorry there's only room for one.
Princess Lydia : No Charlie, I need you!
Charlie : And I need that Map!
Charlie grabbed the Map from Lydia and jumped off the Mech.
Charlie : Didn't think this through either.
Lydia fell down towards the ground in the Mech while Charlie tried using the Map to Parachute which worked until he almost hit a tree when Liv caught him with her dragon.
2 Minutes Later. . .
Nya destroyed the Foreign Creature, but the Ship was still falling since "Hazel" destroyed the Thruster.
Nina : Mom, use your powers to slow us down!
Nya : Alright.
Nya used her powers to stop the Ship, and while not well, it still worked.
Kai : Is everybody okay?!
Maya : All good.
Nina : Not sure if Okay is right, but yes.
Alizah : Been better.
Montgomery : I'm Okay.
Xavier was on the deck standing up when somebody said his name.
Person : Xavier. . .
Xavier turned around to see Hazel, wearing the same armor that his mother wore as the Samurai X, and he also saw her eyes were now Silver.
Xavier : Hazel, you're back, but why didn't you tell Me?
Hazel : I was trying to keep my time as the Samurai X 3.0 a secret to protect the one I cared about.
