Chloe comes back to find out Lucifer is still in the car. She is in amazement about Lucifer actually staying in the car for once. She unlocks the door as she gets in. Then Lucifer opens the door and quickly jumps out. He has a look of uneasy calm as he smiles to Chloe.
"Detective, found out anything about our killer?"
"Sort of." Chloe says appearing to be a bit astonished with how well Lucifer is taking this, "The veterinarian who checks on Kilna's six cats once a month said that they came in two days ago for an appointment. What's weird is that when I asked if she had any friends or people who have a grudge against her, he said she had none."
Lucifer takes another sip of whiskey from the flask before putting it in his gray jacket pocket again. He thinks for a minute and says, "Well I'm guessing she was a saint in my Heavenly Father's eyes. Or a complete waste of being a human in my Dad's sick world with the only friends being her pathetic feline insects."
"Or maybe because her only accomplices are her neighbors and the veterinarian. Either they could have a say against Kilna and her cats." Chloe says trying to keep Lucifer right on track.
"Okay then let's drive to Kilna's neighborhood again. Find out what they heard tonight. Then punish them." Lucifer says with no reluctant thought. Hopefully if they get this case done, he would not have to deal with cats. Five to be exact!
Chloe stops after opening her door and says, "We may have to call it a night. It's past two am. We'll investigate more in the day. Meet me in the precinct at eight in the morning. No later than that!"
As with that, they drive to the police parking garage. Lucifer gets out of Chloe's car to get to his. He didn't take any cats as he sneaks off. Then Chloe looks back from her seat to see that five cats are still in her car. She grumbles, "Lucifer!"
Then Lucifer turns before just opening his car and mischievously says with a smile, "Yes, Detective?"
"You forgot to bring the cats. Or are you too afraid of taking care of them?" Chloe remarks as she opens her door to get out. Then she opens the back door of her side to pick up the three cats out of five.
"Detective! I am not afraid. Just despise the little furry insects!" says Lucifer a bit insulted. He was a bit bewildered by having been stopped while planning to escape before Chloe gives him the cats. Lucifer jumps in his Corvette as Chloe puts the three cats in the open car of the back seat.
Lucifer rolls his eyes then mutters to himself, "I am the Devil. I don't take care of silly pests!"
So as they separate to go to their own place. Chloe takes two cats with her, the calico and gray tiger cat. This leaves Lucifer with the three most energetic bundle to take back to the penthouse.
