The Masks of Garmadon
Side Note : Due to this story being centered around Lydia's Family, there won't be any chapters in The Realm of Oni and Dragons, meaning the others won't return until near the end of the story, hope that's okay since it wouldn't make sense for the Main Characters to not be in the story half the time.
Chapter 16 : Firstbourne
Last Time on The Masks of Garmadon : Montgomery, Liv, and Charlie stay beside Lydia as they see their Gold Princess covered in dirt and golden blood, just as The Amber's Grace brings her back to Ninjago City, and for Mystake to heal her, only for her to tell Liam and Liv they can't do anything, as soon as Lydia wakes up, her powers are gone, and Liv, Brenden, and Alex take her into the Rainy Night in Ninjago City and Mystake gives Lydia a Flail with a Pickaxe Blade, just as Garmadon tries to take on Liv and Misako with him knocking Liv out, and Lloyd revealing himself to his Mother, and while he knows he should find Lydia, Misako understands why can't and he leaves, just as Harumi gives chase to her daughter, and catches her, with Lydia, Charlie, and Harumi watching Garmadon crush The Jade Empress, and Charlie grabbed Lydia and jumped off the Skytram, and she says that the fight isn't over. . .

March 4th, 2045 - Ninjago City
11:45 a.m.
"It's been a week since The Jade Empress was crushed, and I lost my husband, and my daughter, but my Son is still out there, and knowing Charlie, he'll do whatever it takes to protect Lydia, and soon I'll be doing the same, as I head to The Resistance's Location to save them. . ."
"My Name is Skylor Smith, Master of Amber, Daughter of Master Chen, Wife of Kai Smith, Aunt of Nina and Eric, Master of Amber, and Mother of Felicia and Charlie, and may The First Spinjitzu Master's Heart and Soul of understanding, guide us all. . ."
It's been an entire week since Garmadon took over, and The Sons of Garmadon's Bikers have been throwing the citizens into Chaos, by doing nothing but drive and interrupt their daily activity, even if that activity is them in their own homes.
There was a Man in a Green Cloak walking past and the huge screen on the building behind him was playing "Ultra Hunt".
Ultraviolet : Welcome back to Ultra Hunt, The place where hunting traitors couldn't be more fun, and The game show where you, the viewer, can win cash and rewards, or even the Grand Prize if you help us catch The Gold Princess.
Two of the people standing on a sidewalk removed their hoods and saw the screen.
Person : That Purple Git.
Person 2 : No kidding.
He stopped and looked at all of the screens and was looking at Ultraviolet.
Ultraviolet : And Today's Convict is, The Commissioner!
Just then, a biker came and shoved the guy.
Chopper Maroon : Hey, haven't you heard, The color Green has been outlawed.
The boy took the cloak off and looked at his friend.
Eric : Do you Mind?
Chopper Maroon : Oh, Sorry Eric.
Marco : What are you doing out here?
Eric : Trying to get food to my friends, since it's obvious Dareth isn't gonna bring any to them without getting caught.
Chopper Maroon : Good friend.
Eric : Thank you.
Brenden : Yea, that would be a lot better without unexpected visitors.
Just then two more bikers came over to them, and it was Sawyer and Skip Vicious.
Sawyer : What are you two doing with this annoying kid?
Eric : Nice to see you too, and I'm an Elemental Master.
Skip Vicious : What's your power then hoarding food?
Eric : Nope, This!
Eric kicked a Fire Hydrant and splashed the two of them away and into the Canal almost 300 feet away from where they were standing.
Chopper Maroon : Well Eric, we won't keep you out here, take that crate back to your friends.
Eric : Thanks.
Brenden : Okay Eric, let's go.
Eric started rolling the huge crate away, which was 48 x 48 x 48, meaning it was Four feet long, tall, and wide, but it was easy to move with the wheels beneath it, and the handle he attached to the top of the crate, and he used Metal hinges on every top, side, and bottom corner to hold the crate together.
Eric : Oh, and Guys.
Marco : Yea?
Eric : Get out of there soon if you ever can, because The Resistance will make Garmadon pay.
Chopper Maroon : We know, we won't be in this forever.
Eric : Says The "Biker Police".
Eric was talking about Chopper and Marco both wearing police shirts that were unbuttoned and the sleeves were torn off, but that just meant they were on watch in the city.
Marco : Just get out of here water scamp.
Eric then walked away with the Rolling Crate, and was hoping he could reach the others, since Alex gave him their location.
Eric rolled the Crate down an Alleyway, and moved a dumpster and saw The Wu Cru Symbol.
Eric : Bingo!
He put his head to the door and listened inside.
Dareth : I was gonna save it for later, but it's yours... eat up Princess, you've lost your Elemental Power, but not your Appetite.
Lydia grabbed a Puffy Potsticker from Dareth and looked at the others.
Princess Lydia : Well... They're just as hungry as I am.
Misako : No Lydia, you need your strength.
Nya : And we're all here to Protect you remember, so we insist.
Lydia then looked at the Puffy Potsticker, and Dareth smiled and nodded, and she shoved the whole thing into her mouth at once, and the crunch sound made the others look away.
Maya : Okay. . .
Richard : Gross. . .
Eric then knocked on the door and Liv opened it and pointed a dagger at his neck.
Liv : Freeze!
Eric put his hands up and glared at Liv.
Eric : Nice to see you too.
Nya : Eric?!
Eric : Hi, Mom.
Nya ran over and hugged her son, since she hadn't seen him since The Jade Empress was crushed.
After hugging for a few seconds, she punched her son's shoulder.
Eric : Ow.
Nya : Don't ever scare me like that again!
Eric : You said last time, and you know I'm going to in the future, so why bother.
Nya : You little scamp.
Nya hugged Eric and then Maya came next to Nya to hug her Grandson, and he heard a weird crunch noise and saw Lydia fall to her knees as she almost threw up.
Princess Lydia : Stupid, Gag Reflex.
Eric : What happened to Lydia?
Princess Lydia : Dareth made me eat a Puffy Potsticker.
Dareth : What's wrong with that, Corner of Delicious and Delightful
Nya : Dareth, it was covered with dirt, lint, and hair.
Eric : Looks like you were wrong, sounds more like the corner of Awkward and Gross... Which is why I was taking care of that Problem.
Liv got out of Eric's way, and he grabbed the Crate and rolled it inside the room.
Eric : Note to all you guys, do not have Dareth got out on a Supply Run, when I can do twice as much in half the time.
Eric took the top of the crate off, and the others saw the essentials inside the crate.
Nya : Son, you are the best.
Eric : Remember that when Killow comes knocking.
Brenden : Does nobody notice me standing here.
Princess Alex : Daddy!
Alex ran over and jumped into her father's arms, and Brenden smiled and returned the hug as he carried Alex in his arms.
Liv : You okay, Brenden?
Brenden : I'm fine, it's my sister I'm worried about.
Nya : No argument there, why Harumi is still with Garmadon is beyond me.
Charlie : Aunt Nya, stop bringing it up.
Nya : Eric, Brenden, where did you guys get all of this from?
Eric : The Noodle House, and The Royal Palace, the palace was destroyed, but the buffet wasn't.
Brenden : I made sure to grab something that Lydia would actually eat.
Brenden threw a bag at Lydia, and she saw it was Green and Gold Gummy Worms
Princess Lydia : Finally, Somebody reads my mind.
Liv : Great idea, bring Candy to a little girl who has just as big of a Gummy Sweet Tooth as her Father does, not to even mention, if she keeps eating that much her gums are going to turn into Gummy Worms.
Princess Lydia : That would be awesome.
Brenden : She's almost seven, not stupid, don't say that sort of stuff, it'll make her crave even more, and be glad while it's Candy, it's still something to give her, her energy back.
Nya : Fruit, Juice, Noodles, Soda, Dumplings, Fortune Cookies, Cake, Tea... wow.
Eric : You guys take what you prefer, but please ration on it, It took me almost the entire week to get that food without being spotted.
Montgomery : At least we're still around.
Eric looked at Montgomery who was still wearing his robes, only he added extra armor, so it looked exactly like Lloyd's from Season 9.
Nya was wearing her robes from the same season as well only she was also wearing a silver chestplate over it, and added silver armor to the arms and legs, and Eric's suit was exactly like Nya's from Season 9 and that was it, with no major difference.
Charlie's suit was exactly like Kai's from Season 9, only the suit was Charcoal Gray instead of Red, the right sleeve, the belt, the ties around the legs, and the secondary color of the hood were Orange, with the Mask and Tie on the hood still black.
Lydia's Suit had similarities from Lloyd's from Season 9 and Nya's From Season 8, she replaced her Royal Clothes with a Makeshift Yellow and Gray Ninja Suit with the sleeves gray and the mask and tie on the hood black, Lydia's Suit had a Black Armor Chestplate, and had added Black armor to the arms, and had a metal skirt around the waist of her suit as well... Lydia's Suit also had knee pads instead of ties like the rest of the suits, and she had a Long Yellow Scarf around her, the Scarf was wrapped around her neck around the face mask, and it went down her chest towards her waist.
The Mask and Tie of the hood were Black while the rest of the hood was Yellow, and the belt of the suit was Black, and Lydia was wearing Black Leather Biker Gloves that left her fingers exposed, since she didn't like covering he hands that much, but the others wants her to be protected, so she used those gloves so she wouldn't have her fingers covered.
Eric : Well while we're being Hunted, Lydia did nail the Ninja look.
Princess Lydia : Thanks.
Lydia still had her long white hair the same way she did wearing her Princess and Civilian Outfits ( Without the Golden Headpiece ), and she was wearing Forest Green Lipstick and since she didn't over her powers, her eyes darkened and were now Obsidian Green.
10 Minutes Later. . .
Lydia finished her Candy, and the others stopped eating to save what was left of the food ( There was still over half the food in the crate, but they didn't want to eat anything when they didn't need to )
Nya then clapped to get Lydia's attention and she went into the middle of the room.
Nya : Break's over, Let's go again Lydia.
Princess Lydia : Okay.
Lydia then started sparring with Nya and Charlie, while Dareth, Brenden, and Eric sat down with the others.
Brenden : So, how goes the training for the Leader of the Resistance.
Nya then threw Lydia across the room and she landed on her back.
Princess Lydia : Ow.
Hazel : Anyways, not that well, Lydia says she doubts she can lead us without what makes her powerful.
Dareth : But Nya, Eric, Brenden, Charlie, Alex, Richard, Via, Queen Akita, Clayton, and Harmony all have their powers, doesn't she think hers will come back.
Misako : She didn't mean her Powers, she was talking about her friends...
Liv : That, and my brother.
Dareth : Man, I miss the rest of the kids and the Ninja too, it's only been one week since "Emperor" Garmadon has taken over, and now everything's upside down.
Brenden : It's also been beating Lydia up since she still thinks this whole mess is her fault.
Dareth : If anything, I'll protect that little golden girl with my life, it comes to that.
Misako : We all would.
Lydia then punched Nya's shoulder and she fell to her knees.
Dareth : Sweet move, Princess!
Nya then kicked Lydia's Chest, and she slammed her back into the stone pillar, and was then laying against it.
Princess Lydia : Ouch.
Misako : Nya, be careful with her, not only did she lose her powers, but she's just a little girl, take it easy.
Nya : Oh, I'm being far more gentle than I could be right now.
Eric : My Mother's Sad, and Mad, don't mix it up.
Hazel : Perhaps we should reach out to the other Elemental Masters.
Hutchins : Really?
Dareth : I'm with the Royal Guard, I mean seriously, what have they done for Ninjago lately, we haven't seen them since that stupid Tournament, after Charlie got them back to Ninjago they left us in the middle of The March of the Villains, and we haven't them since.
Misako : It has been a while since we saw Skylor, but can we trust them.
Charlie : Misako, believe me, I've been trying to track my Mother for ages, there's still been no trace of her since Garmadon took over, so for now my Grandfather's the only one I got left.
Master Chen : I'm sitting right here Charlie.
Charlie : Yea, I know.
Just then they heard the Small TV.
Princess Lydia : Turn it up.
They did and they saw Commissioner Stevens being pushed into a Police Car.
Ultraviolet : Oh ho, looks likes another one bites the dust, who will be next, Remember the Grand Prize is still out there, for anybody who brings in The Gold Princess, on Ultra Hunt!
Lydia had a few tears form in her eyes as she put her head down.
Nya : Turn it off.
Via turned the TV off, and then sat down next to her Mother.
Queen Akita : Can this situation really keep getting worse?
Princess Alex : Mommy, do you really need me to answer that?
Akita then realized what she had said, and shook her head at her daughter.
Queen Akita : No, I'm good.
Nya looked at Lydia and then at the others and sighed.
She walked over to Lydia and reached out her hand.
Nya : Ninja Never Quit... Again!
Lydia got her serious look back, and took Nya's hand and started sparring again.
Meanwhile at Borg Tower. . .
Harumi was in the Elevators with Chopper Maroon and Killow, since Harumi made Chopper a general after stealing The Mask of Violence.
Killow : I can't believe it's been a week.
Harumi : I really hope my twins are okay.
Chopper Maroon : I'm sure they're alright, Harumi.
Harumi : You guys don't know that, and It's freaking me out that Garmadon's Evil side is keeping him from doing what's right, and now my daughter's being hunted... It's scaring Me.
Chopper Maroon : Well, I did see Eric and Brenden earlier, so your brother's fine, but there's no trace of Lydia, Montgomery, or the others.
Harumi : Good, I don't want my little bundles of joy to come out of hiding, at whatever costs.
They made it to the rooftop where Mr. E and Ultraviolet were and Emperor Garmadon was near the edge looking at the City.
Harumi kneeled and began to speak.
Harumi : Emperor Garmadon, the citywide sweeps have proven, unsuccessful.
Garmadon : I don't understand, I have all the Power, and she has nothing.
Harumi : My daughter still has everybody she needs except for Lloyd, and you said he was back.
Garmadon : Unfortunately... Yes, your husband saved my wife and daughter from my wrath.
Harumi : There is still no trace of my Twins, we believe that they are some dissenters harboring them.
Garmadon : Then Maybe we should squeeze the city until the Traitors reveal themselves for us to crush them!
Harumi : My City has Fallen, and their Fear controls them, any more of this could make them desperate, especially my Princess, and desperate people take desperate actions... why else do you think she came to Kryptarium alone, she wanted to see you.
Garmadon : Why?
Harumi : Look, I remember when I took my daughter to Kryptarium to see you when she was a baby, and it was the first time in your Oni side that you showed a real smile, because while you may not be able to admit it, you loved her, and she still loves you, and she's been trying to show that, she doesn't want to hurt you, but if you give her no other options, then she'll have too.
Garmadon : I didn't think of it that way.
Harumi : May I suggest something more surgical.
Mr. E showed himself and cut two tall rocks with his swords.
Harumi : He won't rest until her finds them, because he doesn't need rest, and he's built to be a cut above the rest.
Garmadon then saw the rocks fall, and he nodded.
Garmadon : Find... My Granddaughter.
Harumi bowed to Garmadon and she walked away with Mr. E, Killow, and Chopper Maroon.
Meanwhile. . .
Lydia was currently sparring with Hazel who was using the Samurai X Mech.
Hazel tried to punch the Mech's Fist into the ground, but Lydia dodged it and got in a fighting stance.
Nya was eating Noodles, and watching Lydia.
Nya : Embrace your power, before you can use it you must find it within!
Lydia kept spinning and running around the Mech dodging Hazel's attacks, and she looked at her, and Nya was looking curiously.
Lydia then tried putting her hands together to form her powers.
Princess Lydia : Oh... Come on.
Hazel then fought back, and made Lydia dodge more attacks.
Nya then smiled as Lydia charged at the Mech and climbed around the Mech and kicked it's back to make Hazel lose balance.
Lydia was in her fighting stance when Hazel turned the Mech around and fired at Lydia to wrap her in chains.
Princess Lydia : *Grunts*
Nya : Fight it, Lydia... Be stronger than what holds you back!
Princess Lydia : Let Me Out!
Nya : Fight it!
Princess Lydia : I-I can't, just let me out... Please.
Nya nodded at Hazel and she released the chain, and Nya helped Lydia stand up, but then she walked away.
Princess Lydia : I can't do this.
Nya : Or won't... you're not the only one who lost everything, Lydia.
Princess Lydia : That's where you're wrong, I'm stuck in the middle of a War, where it won't go anywhere until I choose between my own Family, and I can't.
Nya : Well I lost my friends... my Father, my Husband, my Brother, my Daughter... They would all want us to fight.
Princess Lydia : And I told you several times, I can't fight against my own family anymore... and what if my Powers don't ever come back?
Hazel got out of her Mech and walked over to Lydia.
Hazel : Then we fight on with what we have.
Nya : And build what we don't, we get stronger everyday, but we need you to believe in yourself.
Princess Lydia : I watched The Jade Empress get crushed by my Grandfather's own hands, and they gave their powers to save my life, and I couldn't do anything to help them.
Queen Akita : There isn't a single day going by where we don't think of them Lydia, I lost my sons because of that.
Nya : As Long we still have our power, and breath inside of our bodies, we're going to protect you Lydia, and you are going to defeat your Grandfather-
Liv : Nya, how many times do I have to say that's the one thing Lydia doesn't want.
Nya : Does she even have a choice?
Princess Lydia : But this stuff can't just be rebuilt.
Nya grabbed Lydia and started shaking her to try and get the point to her.
Nya : What else is there for us to do Lydia?
Charlie : Give up, because I don't give up.
Princess Lydia : Then maybe you should lead the resistance Charlie... My Mommy's with the enemy... I lost my Powers... I lost my friends... I lost My Daddy, and I just-
Lydia fell to her knees and started crying.
Just then Misako, Dareth and Brenden came through the door.
Misako : We need to leave!
Dareth : Like Pronto!
Clayton : What is It?
Brenden : Garmadon's Forces are now sweeping the entire block.
Dareth : And We aren't talking brooms and dustpans, we mean a full on battalion!
Everybody then left the Building to try and hide.
5 Minutes Later. . .
Mr. E walked out of the Building and gave a signal.
Killow : They're close, circle this area and make a Five-Block Perimeter, we'll box 'em in!
The Bikers then drove off and the others came out of their hiding places, to try and go.
Nya was in front giving signals if it was clear and they kept moving.
They stopped when Nya saw the Motorcycles.
Nya : We have to go the other way.
Hazel turned around and saw more bikers.
Hazel : They're coming this way too!
Misako : We're blocked in!
Lydia then looked up and pointed towards the roof.
Princess Lydia : Do you think we can all make it to the top?
Dareth : You guys may have to carry Me.
Eric : Perfect time for Killow to be "Undercover".
Just then they heard Killow's Bike Horn.
Nya : No Time, hide!
Everybody then hid in whatever was against the walls of the Alleyway, and waited quietly.
Killow : Halt!
They stopped and listened carefully but couldn't hear the others.
Killow : Let's keep moving!
after One more Minute, the others climbed out of their hiding places.
Clayton : They aren't going to stop coming.
Lydia put her head down and sighed.
Princess Lydia : Then maybe I should-
Montgomery : No way little sister, I'm not letting you do that.
Misako : That was way too close.
Liv : That, and Lydia, your brother's right, you can't give yourself up, that'll only make this way worse for everybody.
Dareth : If I were a lemon, I'd be Lemonade.
Nya : Let's get out of here.
Everybody then started walking out, but something caught Lydia's eyes.
She grabbed a broken picture frame, and inside it was her standing with her friends on the steps of the Royal Palace, the night The Oni's Mercenaries brought down the Sons of Garmadon.
Princess Lydia : The Jade Empress. . .
Everybody turned around to see tears forming in Lydia's eyes.
Princess Lydia : This is where my Grandfather destroyed it.
Queen Akita : Lydia, we have to move on, we're all that's left.
Lydia then felt something on the back of the frame and grabbed it, and she stood up and showed the others.
Princess Lydia : What is this?
Hazel : It's a Tea Leaf... Traveler's Tea.
Lydia then looked around at the wreckage.
Princess Lydia : Wait a Minute, I only see one of the thrusters, do you guys see the other?
Nya : No. . . and there's only two sails.
Princess Alex : There's the Anchor, but no rudder.
Brenden : And there's only one of The Ship's Masts.
Queen Akita : This is only half of Brenden's Ship.
Nya : That Means-
Misako : The other half is somewhere else!
Princess Lydia : They could all still be alive!
Alizah : Yes!
Just then they heard a bike horn and they saw Mr. E wearing The Mask of Vengeance, and the Sons of Garmadon.
Alizah : No!
Just then, Everybody stood in a circle and got into a fighting stance, once they were surrounded by both sides.
Dareth : Everybody get out of here, I'll hold them off.
Princess Lydia : Dareth, there's too many, you couldn't possible handle this many bikers.
Just then, Mr. E landed in front of Dareth and made him scream.
Mr. E was about to hit Dareth with his swords, but something hit him. . .

.
It was a huge Metal Fist.
Kayla : From what my Father told me in a Metalonia, it is not polite to scare a Weak Man.
Nya : Kayla?!
Just then somebody used ghost abilities and appeared next to Nya and Charlie.
Morro : Hello, Gorgeous.
Just then somebody was using Speed and taking out the bikers.
Trey : Hey guys, been a while, but it looks like, you, could use our help!
The three of them continued attacking and Kayla punched Killow's bike into the distance, and he appeared wearing his "Civilian" clothes ( Plain Orange Shirt, Black Jacket, Black Belt, Gray Shorts, Skull Knee-Pads, Black Shoes _
He ripped the gear wheel off of his bike and threw it.
Killow : How about a little Frisbee!
Killow threw and Alizah used her powers and formed what seemed to be a Ring Galaxy Disc in her hands.
Alizah : Killow!
Alizah threw the Ring and Killow grabbed it and threw it at Mr. E and it sent him flying.
Princess Lydia : The Elemental Masters!
Liv : Starting to think you wouldn't show, Killow.
Killow : I said I changed my ways, I'm proving it.
Just then they heard a truck backing up and they ran over to it.
Skylor : Get in... Wait, Charlie?
Charlie : Mom, You're back!
Skylor : You're Okay... Dad!
Master Chen : You really thought I was gonna be gone that easily Skylor, you need to catch up, this is 2045.
Nya : Oh just get in the truck you two.
Princess Lydia : But how did you know?
Skylor : Let's just say we had our ear to the ground.
The others nodded at Skylor's response and they got in the truck.
Princess Lydia : Hazel, we need the Mech!
Hazel nodded and ran back to get it, as the others got in the truck and it drove off.
Nya : You though you were alone in this.
Charlie : You still have us, Liddy.
Maya : And we have our friends.
For the first time in a long time, everybody saw Lydia smile. . .
Next Time on The Masks of Garmadon : The Resistance arrives at a Garbage Depot which is what's being used as their Headquarters, before it's revealed Garmadon has taken all of Ninjago, and not just the City, where Lydia says they need to plan on taking the Realm back piece by piece, and the others agree with her plan, to make sure they have everything back before they take the fight to him, but it's easier said than done, and Mystake talks with Lydia about where the others are, and saying she has to endure until they return, but there's one who still needs to return, but not to Ninjago, to Lydia's Heart. . . and that someone... Is Lloyd Garmadon.
Will Lloyd show himself, What is Lydia planning? What The Young Ninja return to Ninjago?
