Chapter 19 : Harumi's Choice
Last Time on The Masks of Garmadon : Scott and Racer Seven arrive at The Garbage Depot with Nya's Battle Wagon, with it completely rusted and beat up, but they figured she could fix it, while Brenden and a few of the others work on rebuilding one of his prototype armored vehicles he used in War when he was in The Realm of the Rivers, Lydia then tries to help "Train" Dareth against Karlof, proving successful, much to everybody's shock, and she gives more of her own Wisdom to the others, before she tells the others of her plan to give a speech to all of Ninjago City, or for Lydia and Montgomery to come across Harumi, with her saying she can't go with them, with Lydia then giving her speech to all of Ninjago, and saying The Resistance Never Quits, with Harumi seeing where they went and how, and decides it's time for her to go back to her Twins. . .

"Somehow even I can't believe the wise and motivating speech I gave to all of Ninjago, I know my Mommy and Daddy would be proud of Me, I just hope they'll come to me soon enough, and when they do... I'll make them even more proud."

Garbage Depot. . .
The Resistance was inside talking about their victory, but Lydia wasn't on board with too much celebrating, since she also wanted to focus on the current matter.
Princess Lydia : Somehow I honestly can't believe that worked.
The others noticed Lydia's Sarcastic Tone, but Richard didn't.
Richard : Princess are you kidding, it went perfectly!
Montgomery : That's not what she meant Richard.
Richard : What did she Mean?
Princess Lydia : My Mommy.
Lydia put her head down on the table, and her hands on her head, meaning she still wasn't over it.
Queen Akita : Lydia, nobody's blaming you.
Princess Lydia : Somehow I feel like you all should, it was my fault my Grandfather escaped, and now I'm leading the few people that weren't caught to try and throw him back into the Cell he escaped from, only for more to fall or get caught in the Process?
Charlie : I can understand where she's going with that.
Montgomery : Yea, well I'll be back, I'm going outside.
Princess Lydia : Why, Brother?
Montgomery : Just getting fresh air, being in this place for too long and the scent of Metal really takes it out of Me.
Brenden : Then you should try to stand next to Karlof and Kayla.
Karlof : Standing right here, you know?
Liv : That's why he said it, pal.
Montgomery walked outside the Garbage Depot and left his sister in her stress.
10 Minutes Later. . .
Montgomery was sitting on a bench outside drinking Green Tea, and looking at the damage to the City, and he was thinking about Harumi.
Montgomery : I really wish you were Mom, I need you.
Person : I'm here Son.
Montgomery : It's like I can hear you Mom, like you're right beside Me.
Person : Because I am.
Montgomery : Mom?!
Montgomery then looked in the cup almost as if that's where Harumi's Voice was coming from.
Person : Yes, Montgomery?
Montgomery : What are you doing in the cup?
Person : *Giggles* I'm not in the Cup, Son.
Montgomery : Then how can I hear you?
Person : Because I'm standing next to you.
Montgomery looked up and saw Harumi about 10 feet from the Bench.
Montgomery : Mom!
Harumi kneeled down as her son ran and threw himself into Harumi's arms, and she tightly wrapped her arms around Montgomery and hugged him.
Montgomery : You came back.
Empress Harumi : I'm sorry I didn't sooner, I shouldn't have left you two like that, you and Lydia are my little twin bundles of joy, and all I did was stay out of sight like it was nothing.
Montgomery : I love you so much, Mom.
Empress Harumi : I love you too Montgomery, so much.
For a few solid minutes, Montgomery stayed outside and stayed in his mother arms, letting tears of joy soak his Mother's shoulder, and Harumi did the same and for the first time in a while, her son was smiling.
Montgomery : I think you should see Lydia.
Empress Harumi : I plan too, come on guys.
Chopper and Marco came out from around the corner and back inside with Montgomery, and he had Harumi wait for him to give her the "Signal".
4 Minutes Later. . .
Lydia finally got out of her stressful and depressive mood, and started to enjoy the "Celebration" with the others.
Karlof : To the Resistance, they never quit!
Everybody : The Resistance Never Quits!
Dareth : Boy, it must have been awesome to be there, I wish I could seen it.
Nya : It was great, we couldn't have planned it better!
Skylor : The whole City, or perhaps all of Ninjago saw the broadcast!
Paleman Jr. : I'll toast to that.
Lydia then looked at Charlie who was on her left, and Misako was on her right.
Charlie : Hats off to Liddy, without her wise words or her leadership... Let's all just say that Hope is a powerful thing.
Misako : My Granddaughter.
Lydia smiled at Misako, and Dareth came over.
Dareth : Yep, Loyalty is pretty powerful, let's not forget the young people.
Eric : Well duh, we were there... Most of us anyway.
Princess Lydia : This is just a start, I couldn't have done it without your power and your help.
Montgomery : I made a Promise to stay beside you little sister, I'm keeping it.
Montgomery put his hand on Lydia's Shoulder, and she smiled and hugged her brother, who returned the hug, but didn't let Lydia see Harumi.
Just then Brenden, Nya, Skylor, and Liv saw her but Montgomery gave them a signal to keep quiet.
After parting from the hug, Lydia got her mind on Harumi again.
Princess Lydia : Still curious if either of our parents are okay, I mean... Sure people say all of Ninjago saw the Broadcast, but that doesn't mean they heard it.
Montgomery nodded at his mother and she spoke.
Empress Harumi : But I did.
Lydia gasped and looked to see Harumi standing near the entrance to the depot.

Princess Lydia : Mommy!
Harumi walked closer to Lydia as she ran and jumped into her Mother's arms, and Harumi caught Lydia and tightly hugged her daughter.
Harumi looked at Brenden and Liv, and they smiled and nodded at her, meaning that she had nothing to be sorry for.
Harumi walked away with Lydia as she carried her daughter in her arms, and let tears leave her eyes, as Lydia cried into her mother's shoulder.
Princess Lydia : Mommy. . .
Empress Harumi : I'm sorry Lydia... I'm sorry I didn't make this choice sooner.
Princess Lydia : Then why did you say No?
Empress Harumi : I was scared, thinking I would lose you if I made that choice, and if I did, I couldn't live with that.
Princess Lydia : Mommy.
Empress Harumi : Yes Sweetheart?
Princess Lydia : Where's Daddy?
Harumi had her daughter look at her, and she shook her head, meaning she didn't know.
Princess Lydia : I miss him so much.
Empress Harumi : I do too Lydia, but he'll come back.
Princess Lydia : I know, but... It's hard for me to keep going, without the one who's always been beside Me.
Empress Harumi : What do you mean?
Princess Lydia : Daddy's always been the one with me since I was a baby, and you know that, but, it's hard being without him, with how close I was.
Empress Harumi : I'm not blaming you Sweetheart, and when your Father comes back, nobody will blame you for your choice I promise.
Princess Lydia : I love you so much Mommy.
Empress Harumi : I love you too Lydia... so much. . .
for a few minutes Harumi carried her daughter in her arms and hugged her, and a minute later, Montgomery came and hugged them as well, but Harumi knew for sure, her Twins were just happy to have their Mother back.
6 Minutes Later. . .
The Resistance was now all at the Table, including Chopper Maroon and Marco, since there was a few questions about the Sons of Garmadon they could answer.
Turner : So the only one left is Emperor Lloyd, and then we'll be all set to have somebody lead the Resistance.
Trey : Dad.
Turner : What?
Liv : Turner, what is wrong with you?
Turner : Oh... I didn't mean it that way Princess!
Princess Lydia : It's okay, I knew where you were going, and this is just a start, we need to show the People and the Sons of Garmadon we are more than just words meaning now we fight, so I'm not gonna lie when I saw Teresa was correct, we need an army... has anybody heard from the Master of Form?
Killow : Right here.
Killow opened the Garage Door to the Depot and inside came a boy with short purple hair.
He came in and closed the door and he approached the others.
Person : Hey Guys.
Teresa : Hi Carlos.
Carlos : Sorry I missed the fun Yesterday, that was a great speech Princess.
Princess Lydia : Thanks.
Teresa : Carlos, where's your Mom?
Carlos : Couldn't convince her, one bit, she actually grounded Me for me even saying I wanted to help.
Karlof : She is bad girl now.
Trey : What about Blayze?
Liv : The Daughter of The Master of Nature?
Person : Yea, what's up.
Everybody turned to see a huge plant growing around one of the windows and they saw a girl with brown and green wavy hair peek their head through the window.
Blayze : Hey Guys.
Teresa grabbed Blayze's hand and pulled her inside, and then had Killow shut the window.
Blayze : Give a warning next time.
Princess Lydia : Or she can do exactly as she did before and hope for a different result.
Teresa laughed and then high-fived the Princess, and Lydia went back to her place.
Charlie : Joseph?
Just then a loud Soundwave in a cracked one of the windows.
Charlie : Okay, that question's answered.
The others looked to see Joseph, The Son of Jacob, The Master of Sound, with his blue, while, gold, and black Sitar on his back.
Joseph : Hello Guys... Charlie.
Charlie : Hey Joseph.
Nicholas : I understand you two have a bitter relationship, but get along please.
Charlie : We've been trying... anyways, Serpentine?
Turner : I figured they wouldn't have wanted to get involved after Clouse's Fake Snake Gang.
Master Chen : What about Arcturus, he did fight beside us against Clouse's Army.
Princess Lydia : But this isn't Clouse's Army we're dealing with.
Charlie : Keep Arcturus in mind for now, I'll have to try and locate him.
Princess Lydia : Okay, and let's start brainstorming a list on who else can help.
Dareth : I can help.
Princess Lydia : Okay Dareth, can you get us a Blackboard, this'll probably take us a while, and I'll come with you, the others need a refill on Tea.
Dareth : Yea sure, sure.
Empress Harumi : You're not gonna kiss your Mommy goodbye?
Lydia rolled her eyes and turned around just to kiss her mother's cheek.
Princess Lydia : Happy now, Mommy?
Empress Harumi : Very. . .
Harumi kissed Lydia's cheek, and let her walk away.
Nya : Harumi, it's not like she's going anywhere.
Empress Harumi : I was just messing with her, you know Akita and I do that all the time with Alex and Lydia.
Dareth and Lydia walked up to where Mystake was in the top room, and they slid the door open.
Mystake : Hello young Lydia Garmadon.
Princess Lydia : Hello, Mystake.
Dareth : Hey.
Mystake : Dareth, what do you want?
Dareth : Hey, can't a guy just say hey without wanting something.
Mystake : Dareth.
Dareth : Okay okay, here's the thing, everybody else has some kind of power, they can control metal or water, or they can turn invisible, the only thing cool about me is my chest hair.
Mystake smiled Mischievously at Lydia and she smiled back.
Mystake : Why are you telling me this?
Dareth : Well I was thinking, maybe there's a tea you can give me... to give me a power of my own.
Mystake smiled then shook her head.
Mystake : No.
Princess Lydia : Dareth, I don't have any Powers, and even when I did, I never used them.
Dareth : That's different... you're The Gold Princess of Ninjago, that title's cool enough.
Princess Lydia : Who's there to say that Dareth isn't cool enough.
Mystake gave a small chuckle before she continued talking.
Mystake : You should listen to Lydia's Wise Words, they inspire even somebody like me to this day.
Dareth : Oh come on you gotta have something, a potion, a spell, anything, I'd do anything!
Mystake and Lydia both laughed at what Dareth said, and Mystake let that into her head.
Mystake : Anything?
Dareth : Yes.
Mystake : Very well, you can help me too Lydia.
Princess Lydia : I will, just give me a Minute, I'm gonna help the others for a second.
Dareth then helped Lydia with the Tea and the Blackboard.
Over the time they were gone, there were several Glass barrels each containing a drink. ( Lydia wasn't sure why Killow did that, her guess was that he was just trying to help refresh the others.
The drinks that were there, were Several Teas and Fruit Juices, since it was a hobby and Lydia and Alex did often, Lydia often did Tea, and Alex did Juice.
Lydia's Teas were Green, Yellow, Black, White, Earl Gray, Matcha, Bubble, Barley, Jasmine, and Gunpowder.
Alex's Juices were Pineapple, Pomegranate, Grapefruit, Apple, Carrot, Grape, Limeade, Tomato, Orange, and Sugarcane.
But what Harumi, Liv, Misako, Alizah, Montgomery and Lydia didn't know was what they're last missing member of the family was doing.
Borg Tower. . .
Garmadon was on his throne in anger, and he called Sawyer, Nails, Luke, and Ultraviolet to the roof.
Sawyer : You asked to see us Emperor?
Garmadon : Yes. . .
Nails : Why?
Garmadon : I am choosing you three, to replace Killow, Mr. E, and Harumi.
Sawyer : Really?
Garmadon : Yes.
Ultraviolet : I don't see why you are not showing how furious you truly are, it was the old Empress' fault that The Princess got that message out.
Person : Was it now?
Everybody turned to see Lloyd on the roof, he was wearing the Sensei Robes he got from Garmadon during Season 5, and he was wearing a thin forest green overcoat with no sleeves, and it went down to just above his knees.
Garmadon : Lloyd.
Lloyd : Father.
Ultraviolet : You have no business being here, Emperor!
Lloyd : You're right, I don't, but that's not stopping me, you are not going to use your powers on me, and you are going to let me speak.
Garmadon : Is that a Threat?!
Lloyd : No.
Lloyd : I saw the Battle at Kryptarium, The Colossus Attack, and Lydia's Speech, and every time, you showed signs of Mercy towards her... Why?
Garmadon : I don't know what you're talking about.
Lloyd : The tears that left your eyes, the shock seeing her alive, watching her speak to all of Ninjago without a single side of Madness or Hatred... you love her, the same way she does with you.
Garmadon : So what?
Lloyd : Much like when I was a child, you were still evil and you came beside my friends to save me from The Fire Temple and stop The Serpentine, and then again for the Oni, you helped us twice during your evil side, who's to say you can't do it a third time?
Garmadon : Where are you going with this, Lloyd?
Lloyd : You know Lydia doesn't want to fight you, and you don't want to hurt her, it's your dark side and your powers keeping you from staying your powers from her heart, but she will not show you the same Mercy when her powers can show you the light.
Garmadon : Her powers... are gone.
Lloyd : Not for long, and as long as she keeps going, and never quits, then neither will her powers, or her love for you, and you know that... you need to see that there is always a light inside of you and your heart Father, the problem is that those who have it, are the best at hiding it... remember that.
Lloyd jumped off the roof and used his Elemental Dragon and flew away, leaving Garmadon in thought.
Garmadon : Leave Me.
The Generals left the Rooftop, and let Garmadon have time to think.
Meanwhile. . .
Mystake and Lydia were brewing a potion for Dareth and he saw it was brown but the tub was perhaps five or six gallons, when he saw them push it towards him.
Mystake : Drink the Potion.
Dareth : Oh oh, it's-it's so... big, I have to drink it *Gulp* all?
Mystake : Do you want your own Power or not?
Dareth : Right, okay... good thing I'm thirsty, here it goes.
Dareth then started to drink the Potion, and Lydia got a thought.
Princess Lydia : *Giggle* Is that really gonna give him powers?
Mystake : *Chuckle* It'll give him a Power alright, now run along my child.
Lydia smiled and left the room as Dareth kept drinking.
5 Minutes Later. . .
Harumi was in the room with Mystake and he finally finished drinking the potion as he burped in Harumi's Face.
Empress Harumi : Dareth?
Dareth : Sorry, Your Highness... Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
Just then Lydia entered the room and walked over to her mother and raised her arms.
Princess Lydia : Hi Mommy.
Empress Harumi : Hi, you little golden scamp.
Harumi wrapped her arms around her daughter and carried her in her arms.
Just then a brown mist came out of Dareth's Right Hand.
Mystake, Harumi, and Lydia all smiled at what they were seeing.
Princess Lydia : Well now you prove Tox and Teresa wrong about being the "Master of Brown".
Lydia then giggled, and Harumi smiled and spun around with carrying Lydia in her arms, and it showed her how happy it made Lydia that she was back.
Dareth : Oh my gosh, my gosh it's happening... Guys!
The three of them continued to smile and looked at Dareth.
Dareth : Brown Power!
Lydia looked at Harumi and she read her mind, as she continued to carry Lydia and they walked down the stairs as they followed Dareth.
Dareth slid down the railing while Harumi walked down the steps with Lydia in her arms, and they approached the table as Dareth was already there but he let the power calm down.
Dareth stood in between Carlos and Teresa, and Teresa put her hands on her hips with her annoyed look in her eyes as Carlos asked a question.
People could tell it was an annoyed look, before the Green Poisonous Marks around Teresa's eyes lined up with her eyebrows.
Carlos : Just what are you supposed to be?
Dareth : I'm Dareth, Master of uh... uh... Brown.
Teresa : Brown?
Dareth : You'll see my power!
Dareth stood on the table and got into his weird fighting stance, and used his power, and everybody saw it.
Carlos : Whoa.
Teresa : What the?
Skylor heavily sighed and put her left hand to her forehead.
Skylor : Not this again Dareth.
Princess Lydia : Yea, My Mommy was telling me there would be side effects to such.
Dareth : Oh well well well, mommy this and mommy that, we get it, you got you're little Mommy back, big deal!
Lydia's smiled faded and Harumi let Lydia snuggle closer to her in her arms, and Harumi shook her head at Dareth.
Charlie : Dareth, that was Mean.
Dareth : Yea, so is people doubting my new power, and if I'm not mistaken, just because she needs to be Protected, doesn't make her the Most Important.
Nya, Charlie, Eric, Skylor, Montgomery : Yes it does!
Harumi kissed her daughter's cheek and let her walk over to the others.
Empress Harumi : Dareth, you know the powers will only last about a week right?
Dareth : I know, but I don't care either, Lydia did help me become stronger by making me punch the Metal Man in the Face, so I'm feeling good.
Karlof : Still surprised by that.
Maya : Karlof, we all are.
Princess Lydia : Progress?
Queen Akita : Pretty much Lydia, we've been thinking of other allies, as well as our plan to start taking back The Formlings' Kingdom.
Princess Lydia : Won't we need to raid Sandstonia for that?
Brenden : Yep.
Princess Lydia : Charlie, any trace of Arcturus?
Charlie : Actually Yes, he was last seen near The Museum, they hid most of the Oni Masks around their controlled locations in Ninjago.
Empress Harumi : Which one's at the Museum?!
Charlie : The Mask of Death.
Brenden and Harumi : Of course.
Liv : You can definitely tell they're siblings.
Empress Harumi : Oh ha ha, Liv.
Princess Lydia : So Aunt Akita, what's the plan?
Queen Akita : Well the first part of taking back our home, we don't need the Tanks for.
Empress Harumi : So what is it?
Queen Akita : Well technically first we need to use a different plan to get word to Fort Lexington about the Sons of Garmadon, word is, is that they took Camp 494 and are staging an assault to kill Paul Travers.
Charlie : Crud.
Nya : Charlie, what did you and Eric do with your ships?
Maya : They left them at Ignacia, Hazel still had the Forcefield installed so she turned it on, and left them there.
Nya : We could just use one of their ships to get to Fort Lexington, and then have them brings theirs and we use our own and bring them to the coast of Polastraits.
Princess Alex : That's exactly what the plan is, Miss Nya.
Nya : Then what?
Queen Akita : Then the group splits from there to take both sides of the realm, and then we use our power from all sides to Liberate The Formlings' Kingdom.
Charlie : That sounds easier said than done.
Brenden : It is.
Princess Lydia : We probably won't get every vehicle out of there, so maybe we should learn which are the best.
Queen Akita : My husband as a document on all fifty, and he can play all of them if you need him too.
Nya : Well that sounds helpful.
Eric : Mom, sarcasm won't help.
Princess Lydia : So... what do you guys wanna do first, Help Fort Lexington, or Prepare for the Raid on Sandstonia?
After a few Minutes of talking, the others decided. . .
Misako : So, we're splitting up.
Charlie : Yea, a few of us will go to Fort Lexington, another team will prepare for the raid, the others stay here, and continue working.
Everybody agreed and got to work. . .
Next Time on The Masks of Garmadon : The Resistance splits up, with there being three different teams, Charlie's Team heads to Fort Lexington to save Paul Travers from The Sons of Garmadon, Brenden's Team prepares to raid Sandstonia and escape with the Armored Vehicles inside the Airbase, while Lydia's Team remains in The Garbage Depot to try and locate more of their allies, and find Lloyd, as he decides it's time to show his face to Lydia, just as she decides to go with Brenden to Sandstonia, only to hear from Misako and Liv that she left, with Lloyd leaving to go save her, after Garmadon hears Lydia is leaving Ninjago City, and they only realize, what a huge fight they have on their hands.
Will Garmadon capture Lydia? Will Lloyd save his Princess? Will Charlie help Paul Travers?
