Lucifer starts to walk toward the exit of the precinct, he realizes that Chloe took him today instead of himself. He lets out a breath of air as he searches for Chloe. There she is right in front of him heading out talking to Dan. Lucifer calls out when he jogs to catch up to them, "Detective!"

Dan looks back instead of Chloe then turns his gaze to his ex-wife to continue the conversation. Not knowing what Dan was thinking, Lucifer keeps jogging as he gets right in between Dan and Chloe. Chloe stammers, "L-Lucifer! What's the matter with you? You almost scared me."

"Sorry Detective!" Lucifer grins as Dan frowns from behind. "I just wanted to see if you could take me back home since you picked me up this morning."

Chloe was about to say something until Dan says, "How about no. Chloe doesn't have to drive you to your place. It's late in the afternoon anyway so just walk."

Chloe tries to say something again, but the smiling Lucifer interrupts, "My my my, Detective Douchebag! How are we forgetting that you and Detective divorced! Only a complete douche would."

Dan gets red and retorts, "Just because Chloe and I broke up doesn't mean I have to stop talking to her. It's not like you are dating her. Too much of a stuck up prick! And you know what, I am glad she isn't dating one."

"Oh wow, Detective Douche! Aren't you getting mad for nothing." Lucifer laughs.

Chloe starts to talk, "G-guys..."

Dan moves in closer to Lucifer and says angrily, "You're the guy who shows up to every crime scene and is a complete stalker to Chloe. Ever since you came, you have always had eyes on her!"

Lucifer says nothing as Chloe interrupts the two, "Enough you two!"

She points at Dan, "Lucifer may have some crazy love interest for me, but he is a consultant now for the police and a partner. So he is not a guy to get pissed off at." Then she turns to Lucifer and angrily says, "And you-!"

"Yes Detective?" Lucifer asks as he feels worried for what she might say next.

"Lucifer, Dan is half right. You can be a complete prick, but that's just who you are with being a nightclub owner and an eccentric guy who won't stop saying he is the Devil." Chloe takes a breather as Lucifer looks surprised then she continues but softly, "Yet you are still my partner and a great value to solving cases."

Dan scoffs as he turns around when he hears this. He says angrily, "Now I see it. You are sticking up for Lucifer and not me."

Chloe sighs, "Dan, no. I am not. All I am asking for you now is to leave while I take Lucifer back to his apartment."

Dan leaves without one more word as Lucifer says gleefully, "Well done Detective!"

Chloe glares at Lucifer and retorts, "Not a word from you. You two are acting like children instead of adults. Now come on."

She rushes off out to the parking garage as Lucifer follows. He feels a bit overwhelmed by getting the cold shoulder from Chloe. Before they get into the gray car, Dan stares angrily at Lucifer's way. Then they both get in as Chloe turns the key, reverses, and puts it in drive. She looks at the road ahead of her. Unlike himself, Lucifer sits quietly while Chloe coldly drives.

Chloe gets Lucifer to Lux at 4:30 pm. Lucifer gets out, yet before he shuts the door, Chloe turns to ask, "Lucifer, have you ever once thought about changing your life around?"

"Yes, except I already have." Lucifer replies. Then he asks curiously, "Why do you say that, Detective?"

Chloe shrugs and says, "You maybe right, but I am talking about how you live and act."

Lucifer gives a reluctant laugh as he closes the door. He calls out, "I am what I am, Detective. Can't change me!"

Then she heads off as Lucifer still feels that coldness. It didn't feel normal that Chloe would say that. He thought she knew him. Not all of him, but the important part, however.
