The Masks of Garmadon
ItsYoGreenGirl ( Chapter 21 ) : Star Wars fan as much as a Marval fan, what are the odds, and yes... Lloyd was the only one Lydia wanted, but now that he's back, she wants to focus on saving her grandfather, because she can't keep the good moments with Garmadon out of her head, and those moments prove that while evil, he still has good inside of him, same way he did after being bit by The Great Devourer, also like I said, if you're still curious about Kieran, I added a "Chapter" for him on The Character Profiles, so you can look at that if you're still curious about him.
ItsYoGreenGirl ( Chapter 22 ) : Very true with what you said about the people, and it's good that some has already risen to take back what they lost, and Kieran losing his home just as he met his real parents is surely something he'll avenge, especially the people who couldnt escape that Fire, and yea, Lydia did say that they had to show the Resistance they were more than words, and them taking back The Formlings' Kingdom is what's proving it. Alex is strong, and she'll survive, a cut isn't gonna stop her, and she'll heal, but the scar it may leave behind, that'll take a bit longer. . .
Chapter 23 : The Gilded Path
Last Time on The Masks of Garmadon : The Resistance splits up once again taking the The Allies of Fort Lexington to the Shores of Polastraits in hopes of finally liberating The Formlings' Kingdom, only for Alex to get Injured, and so many more of Fort Lexington's Army ( Or what's left of them after the Fire ) with Eric, Montgomery, Brenden, Lloyd, Via, and Kieran packing the biggest punch on the battlefield, and they managed to take the Beach, but little do they know the new problems they have on their hands.

March 7th - 2:26 p.m.
Shores of Polastraits. . .
Charlie was sending a distress call to them and it seemed important, so Lloyd answered it.
Lloyd : Hello?
Charlie : Lloyd!
Lloyd : What's going on?!
Charlie : An ambush is coming, we need some help!
Brenden : Do you need all of us?!
Charlie : No, we just need help to get Lydia out of here when that attack comes!
Eric : Because it's gonna be awhile before our next mission, I'm going to help her.
Hazel : Me too.
Montgomery : Dad?
Lloyd : Son, I think we should stay here, Lydia and your Mother should be fine, with those two going.
Brenden : You two can go, but don't take too long.
Eric : We won't, Hazel come on!
Hazel grabbed Eric's hand and they used his dragon and flew towards Ninjago City.
Brenden : They have no idea what they're getting into.
Lloyd : I know, but we can't risk losing everything, so our only chance is to send a few, and the rest stay here.
10 Minutes Later. . .
Charlie was still outside the Depot and he saw Eric and Hazel running in.
Charlie : There you are.
Eric : Come on, we gotta hurry.
The three head towards the door to the Garage and see the others talking.
Princess Lydia : Even if we were to get him alone, none of us stand a chance against my Grandfather's powers.
Nya : Then we keep thinking until there's a plan that works.
Alizah : Aunt Rumi, how did you guys defeat him last time?
Empress Harumi : Your uncle stabbed his sister in the guts, while Nya and Skylor's Team did a ritual to send his spirit back, but now that Garmadon's out of the Departed Realm completely, that won't work.
Tox : Can't we just surround and assault Borg Tower?
Princess Lydia : We can't risk an all out assault Tox, my Grandfather's too powerful.
Karlof : Yes, we must uh, how you say, Strategize!
Just then the Garage Door to the Depot went up and they saw who it was behind Charlie.
Nya : Eric, Hazel?!
Eric : It's an Ambush!
They looked up and saw The Sons of Garmadon coming in with ropes around Lydia.
Princess Lydia : Protect the Base!
Luke Cunningham and Nails jumped off the ropes and started attacking The Gold Ninja.
Two guards pinned down Kayla and she used her powers.
Kayla : Don't mess with Kayla, or get Metal and Mayhem!
Kayla used her powers, and punched the guards off of her.
Killow grabbed a huge steel barrel and threw it at the Bikers who tried running through the door that opened.
Killow : Good thing I still have this!
The Big Man pulled out The Mask of Deception, but one of the bikers tried to knock it out of his hands.
Killow : Skylor!
Skylor looked at Killow to see him throw The Mask of Deception to her, and she used it.
Charlie : Mom?!
Skylor used the Mask's Abilities to levitate a few lockers against a wall and she threw them at the Bikers.
Skylor quickly took the Mask off and gave it back.
Empress Harumi : Skylor, I thought we said last time not to use The Masks!
Skylor : Killow uses it, and you still use yours, why can't I?
Killow : Because I know how to Control my anger and my "Evil Side", you not so much, and I say what I get to use, after all, I am The Big Man.
Richard : Yea, Literally.
Nya grabbed a Toolbox and threw it at the Bikers attacking The Masters of the Mind, only to see Dareth get thrown across the room and land on his back.
Dareth saw two more bikers coming at him and he was about to run and he looked at Lydia.
Princess Lydia : Dareth, show them who you are!
Dareth ignited his Brown Power, and he grabbed a Toolbox and Trash Can lid, and threw them at the Bikers, and shot the mist out of his hands to finish them.
Everybody was shocking but they still kept fighting. . .
Dareth then moved on when two bikers just stood there in shock.
Dareth : Sorry, but you guys aren't welcome to "Brown Town".
The two bikers stood there until Lydia came to their side, and kicked them into each other which knocked them down.
Princess Lydia : And welcome to my Foot!
Lydia then ran over to another one of the bikers. . .
Lydia had her hands on one of the Biker's shoulders, and she was in a shoving match with him.
Just then they saw Harumi wearing the Mask of Hatred.
Empress Harumi : Don't let them take my daughter!
Lydia looked to see the Bikers coming at her and grabbed her and climbing on top of her.
Skylor : There's too many, we need to get you out of here.
Princess Lydia : No, we need to fight!
Skylor then used the powers of Shadow and Speed to attack the bikers surrounded Lydia.
Hazel and Eric were on one side of the Depot when she saw Bikers trying to climb into her Mech, Hazel ran over to them and shoved the bikers out of the way and climbed into it, and she started attacking the Bikers.
Nicholas and Teresa were surrounded, and he read her mind and quickly ducked his head as Teresa breathed Poison at the bikers
Nicholas : Next time... warn Me.
Ultraviolet was attacking Misako, and she pushed a table at her, and Misako pushed it back.
Ultraviolet : Hello, Gramma.
Misako : I am not, your Grandmother!
The two of them kept fighting and Mystake was watching everything.
Nails : Get Mystake!
Luke Cunningham : She's just an Old Lady.
Nails : She's more than that!
Luke nodded and ran up the stairs and into the room only to see Mystake gone, but a rat ran past him and out the door.
downstairs, Skylor did a spin kick on one of the bikers, and she saw Charlie behind her.
Charlie : Mom, we're losing!
Skylor : We need to endure.
They turned around to see Harumi wearing The Mask of Hatred, and they saw Lydia throw a Toolbox at Ultraviolet to throw her back.
Empress Harumi : I missed you Lydia. . .
Ultraviolet : So did I!
Ultraviolet pulled out another Sai, so she had two and she jumped off the table and attacked Skylor and Lydia.
Princess Lydia : And you'll miss me again!
Lydia kicked Ultraviolet and ran to another part of the depot, while Ultraviolet tried to take Charlie, Harumi grabbed her, and Ultraviolet tacked The Empress, and Skylor tackled another one of the bikers.
Skylor : Nya, get my Son out of here!
Nya finished a biker and grabbed Charlie's hand.
Nya : Come on!
The two of them ran around a corner into a dark part of the Depot, and Ultraviolet was on top of Harumi.
Ultraviolet : I think this is Mine!
Harumi laughed as she kicked Ultraviolet behind her, and she stood up.
Ultraviolet charged back at her as Harumi took off the Mask, and Nya turned on the Battle Wagon and hit Ultraviolet into the wall.
Charlie : Mom, Empress Harumi, get in!
Skylor and Harumi got into the Battle Wagon, and he saw the bikers attacking Chen
Charlie : My Grandfather, we have to go back!
Master Chen : You and the Princess are the ones Important, go Charlie!
Skylor : But Dad-
Master Chen : Skylor, I'll be okay!
Karlof : We will hold off, get Amber Ninja and Gold Princess to safe place!
Nya : Eric?!
Eric : I'll be Okay, Mom!
Misako finished the Bikers and made it to the Battle Wagon, and so did Alizah only to not see Lydia.
Misako : Lydia?!
Princess Lydia : Grammy!
They all looked to see the bikers surrounding her and tried to get her out the door.
Princess Lydia : Charlie, Help Me!
Charlie : No!
Charlie ran out of the Battle Wagon and used his Powers.
Charlie : Ninja-Go!
Killow then saw Charlie and he got an idea!
Killow : Charlie!
Charlie saw Killow throw the Mask of Deception to him, and Charlie used it and his powers to levitate the locks and surround them with Fire, and he launched them at the Bikers trying to approach Lydia, he took the Mask off and gave it back to Killow.
Killow, and Charlie got into the Battle Wagon, as Charlie got into it Ultraviolet tackled Lydia, and Nya thought it was Clear so she drove.
Charlie : Aunt Nya, Stop!
Nya looked back as the Battle Wagon started driving away, and Lydia got off of Ultraviolet, and jumped off of her bike as the back of the Battle Wagon opened.
Princess Lydia : Charlie!
Lydia reached for Charlie's hand, and he reached out and grabbed her.
Charlie : It's okay Liddy, I gotcha.
They stopped one more time to let Dareth get inside the Battle Wagon, and it drove off.
Ultraviolet : After them... After THEM!
The Battle Wagon closed, and Eric used his dragon and Hazel used her Mech and they flew away from the Depot. . .
Harumi grabbed Lydia and held her tightly in her arms.
Princess Lydia : Mommy. . .
Empress Harumi : Are you okay?
Princess Lydia : Yes... I was trying to save them.
Charlie : Was that what that was... from my vantage a moment ago it looked like I was the one saving you.
Lydia giggled and shook her head at Charlie as she smiled.
Princess Lydia : Very funny.
Killow : That went well.
Alizah : Well at least they didn't take any of us.
Charlie : Yea, Montgomery, Liv, and Lloyd are at the Beaches in Polastraits, while we're hoping to outrun these guys.
Lydia looked at Harumi and she let her daughter out of her arms, and Lydia went to the scope to see if she could shoot Metal at the bikers.
Princess Lydia : Mommy, three bikers at our six.
Empress Harumi : Alright Sweetheart, shoot 'em.
Nya pressed a button and the Metal Turrets appeared so Lydia could shoot at the Bikers.
She fired at one trying to drive past on the right side and it took him out.
Princess Lydia : Bullseye.
Lydia then moved the turrets to shoot the biker on the left.
Princess Lydia : Bon voyage!
The third biker made it onto the Battle Wagon and Nya saw no other bikers.
Nya : Great work, Lydia.
Empress Harumi : That's my Princess.
Harumi then carried Lydia in her arms as the Battle Wagon kept driving away.
Dareth : Alright, I know nobody takes me Seriously, but about that Bathroom?
Everybody looked at Dareth with serious looks, while Charlie and Lydia were with concerned looks because they didn't want Garmadon to catch them.
Everybody : No!
Dareth : Fine, I'll take it outside!
The Biker was about to drop a bomb into the Battle Wagon but Dareth opened the hatch and made him fly off and the Bomb exploded his bike.
Dareth : I took the last one, we're all clear!
Just then he saw Garmadon on a rooftop, and they saw them in the Battle Wagon.
He got back into the Battle Wagon and closed the hatch.
Dareth : Spoke too soon.
Richard : What?!
Garmadon let his powers surround him, and a huge dark pulse went across Ninjago City.
there was a sudden stomp, and Lydia was starting to freak out as she was being carried in Harumi's arms.
Princess Lydia : Am I the only one who felt that?!
Skylor : I felt it.
Charlie : So did I, and I don't like it.
Nya saw the Colossus coming towards them in the rear-view mirror.
Nya : We've got Company!
Charlie : Nice going "Uncle" Dareth.
Dareth : Glad you used the uncle thing for the first time in a while, but sarcasm isn't helping.
Princess Lydia : Neither is you letting my Grampa see us in this thing!
The Colossus jumped and it landed in front of the Battle Wagon.
Nya screamed a small bit, as she hit reverse and tried to get away from the Colossus.
Skylor tried using the Metal Turrets but it wasn't working.
Charlie : Mom, it's no use!
The Colossus then went to stomp on the Battle Wagon
Princess Lydia : *Scream*
The Colossus stomped on the battle wagon and it shook around a small bit before everything stopped.
Lydia was rapidly breathing as Harumi tightly carried her daughter in her arms, and the others looked around.
Charlie : How is this thing in one piece?
Nya : It's complete metal Charlie, look it up.
Dareth : I don't need that bathroom anymore.
The Colossus then started crushing the Battle Wagon, and the bolts and the metal were coming out.
Skylor : It won't hold!
Nya : Oh yes she will!
Nya used the reverse and tried to back away.
Dareth : We're all Pancakes!
Lydia was still being carried tightly in Harumi's arms, as she closed her eyes, and tried to speak to her Grandfather.
Princess Lydia : Please Grampa... don't do this. . .
Garmadon was able to get control and stop his powers, just as Hazel fired her Mech's lasers at him, and Eric uses his dragon.
Hazel : The Resistance Never Quits!
Garmadon used his powers and shot the Mech down.
Charlie : Hazel!
Nya : Son, leave. . .
Eric dodged Garmadon's attack and he flew his dragon away.
The Battle Wagon got free, and they drove past the Colossus.
Nya : Hold on!
Everybody braced and Harumi tightly held onto Lydia as the Battle Wagon drove past the Colossus as it fell on it's back.
The Battle Wagon drove away as Marco approached Garmadon on the roof.
Garmadon : Lydia. . .
Marco looked back at Chopper Maroon, and he grabbed Hazel out of the Mech, and he shook his head.
Lydia opened the hatch of the Battle Wagon and looked at Garmadon and he saw her Obsidian Green eyes, and a tear went down her cheek, and a tear left Garmadon's eyes as well.
Lydia spoke in her own head, and she sword she could hear Garmadon's voice.
Princess Lydia : I love you, Grampa. . .
Garmadon : I love you too... and I'm sorry Lydia. . .
Lydia got back inside the Battle Wagon and closed the hatch, as Garmadon watched them drive away.
6 Hours Later. . .
Despite it being March, it was actually still snowing. . .
Lydia was walking down the Canal with Harumi, Killow and Nya.
They looked at the TVs, and saw Gayle Gossip.
Gayle Gossip : What by all accounts looks like a devastating blow to the Resistance, The Gold Princess' secret headquarters has been raided, with numerous arrests made, while it was confirmed that eleven members of the Resistance escaped, including The Amber Ninja and The Gold Princess, Charlie Smith, and Princess Lydia Garmadon.
Lydia sighed, and she walked over to a steel barrel that had a fire in it, she was wearing the Fisherman Disguise much like the others, and hers was exactly the same as Lloyd's, and she was still wearing her gloves.
She pulled out her suit and looked at the others.
Princess Lydia : Mommy, are you sure I have to do this?
Empress Harumi : I'm sure sweetheart.
Nya : I already got rid of the vehicle I spent forever building, we have to destroy anything that could give us away.
Killow : What about Lydia's hair?
Lydia twirled a strand of her hair around her fingers because she knew what Killow meant.
Empress Harumi : It's Completely white around here because of the snow Killow, and my hair is white also, I don't think there will be any problems.
Princess Lydia : But Mommy, this... this is who I am.
Empress Harumi : Lydia, much like during your time in the palace as the Princess, and right now, those clothes, and this ninja suit and the hood didn't make you who you are, it's what's inside of you, right here.
Harumi kneeled down on the left side of Lydia and put her left hand to her daughter's heart.
Nya : Your mother's right Lydia, from here on out, we need to hide our identities, they'll be looking for us, and wearing our colors will only draw attention.
Nya was wearing the same Fisherman disguise she wore in Season 9, and Harumi was wearing the same, except the rags were Tan, and the shirt beneath the rags was Olive Green, and the pants were still black, like Nya's, who had a yellow scrunchie in her ponytail.
Lydia moved towards the barrel and held her suit above the fire.
Lydia looked at Harumi and she nodded.
Princess Lydia : *Sigh* The Resistance Never Quits.
Lydia dropped the suit into the flame, and for a brief moment it turned yellow, a few tears formed in her eyes, and she walked back to Harumi, and she wrapped her arms around her daughter and stood up to carry Lydia in her arms.
Skylor : Who's hungry?
Skylor, Alizah, Dareth, Charlie, Richard, and Misako walked over with a decent sized back and Nya grabbed it.
Nya : You didn't steal this did you, we don't have any Money.
Dareth : You're forgetting that she owns a Noodle Empire.
Charlie : That, and there are still a few kind souls watching over us.
They looked over and saw a few of the civilians near one of the food stands.
Charlie was wearing the same Fisherman disguise as her mother, and Skylor wasn't wearing a hat this time.
Eric : That, and I talked to them for a second and gave them the food you left at the Garbage Depot.
The others turned around and saw Eric was still wearing his normal clothes, and he walked over to them.
Nya : Eric. . .
Nya walked forward and kneeled down to hug her son.
Eric : I'm okay Mom.
Nya : Good.
Eric : You know I can't stay though right?
Nya : What?
Skylor : Why Eric?
Eric : I need to go back to Polastraits and help the others, especially since Garmadon shot Hazel down.
Princess Lydia : Maybe when we get the chance we should go to Polastraits, since they took over the entire beach and the bunkers, and reinforced the defenses so nobody else can land enemy troops on the beach, it would be safer there.
Eric : You should wait until we completely take over Polastraits, right now it's just the Beach, there's no way for you guys to get in, I'll contact you guys when Polastraits is under control.
Nya : Alright Son, just be careful.
Nya kissed her son's cheek and Eric used his dragon and left the City.
Just then Dareth looked across the Canal and on the other side were kids beating up and old police car.
Dareth : This place is kinda sketchy, are you sure we're safe here?
Nya : For the time being.
Misako : Here Sweetie.
Misako handed Lydia one of her small jackets that had a hood, much like the one Harumi wore with her Civilian outfit as a Teenager, only the jacket was Sand ( Tan Yellow ) instead of Yellow or Dark Green.
Princess Lydia : Thank you, Grammy.
Lydia put the jacket on and as she did, Harumi saw instead of a ponytail, Lydia now had her hair in a bun held by chopsticks, the same way she did, except Lydia still had the long stand of hair going over her face going down towards her left cheek.
Lydia then pulled on her hood and Harumi moved the strand of hair out of Lydia's face for a moment as she brought Lydia closer to her in her arms so she could kiss her daughter's cheek, and Lydia smiled at her mother and hugged her, and Harumi returned the hug, and carried Lydia in her arms.
Charlie : What about our friends... My Grandfather.
Alizah : I got a message from Chopper and Marco saying that they took them to Kryptarium Prison.
The Resistance then started walking down the canal ( Except Lydia who was being carried in Harumi's arms ) and were talking.
Dareth : Garmadon's forces have that place locked up like Fort Knox, and before you ask, no I cannot use my Brown Power to break us in, those powers are sadly flushed away.
Princess Lydia : Uncle Dareth, you don't need those powers and you never did, you punched The Master of Metal square in the face and threw him across the room, that showed everybody you didn't need powers or any sort of weapon or that you weren't brave, you had the bravery and courage to stand up to somebody bigger and stronger than you, I was trying to show you that you didn't need powers or a weapon, because you did all of that on your own.
Dareth then smiled and nodded at Lydia meaning she was right, and it made Harumi happy to see even though Lydia was wearing her hood covering her hair, it wasn't covering the gentle smile on her daughter's face.
Nya : They'll be alright, but will you?
Princess Lydia : I already lost my powers, and now most of my friends, I couldn't protect them.
Skylor : It took us all by surprise.
Misako : They're right Lydia, don't blame yourself.
Richard : And they took my Dad.
Killow : My Comrades.
Dareth : Are you sure it's safe for Killow to be with us, he's huge, and his skin is Gray, that'll get us noticed.
Princess Lydia : Not when it's Snowing and it's this dark out.
Nya : We just have to endure.
Lydia sighed and put her head down while she was being carried in her mother's arms, Lydia did have her left arm wrapped around her mother just so she could sit up as Harumi carried her.
Princess Lydia : Yea right endure, living in a place of Squalor that I tried to help once before this mess.
Dareth : Yea not so bad, I mean it does have Snow, Clear Skies, and Canals.
Princess Lydia : Well now it's full of Flooding, Filth, and Rats.
Skylor : Even those who have nothing find the will to carry on.
A Rat approached them, and Dareth saw and he screamed.
Dareth : Rat, rat, rat, rat, rat, rat, rat!
Dareth grabbed a Mop and was about to hit the rat.
Person : Hey no... Stop!
Nya approached Harumi with confusion.
Nya : Is that rat, talking to us?
Empress Harumi : Yes, I believe it is.
Lydia then had Harumi put her down and she approached the rat and kept her hands together.
The rat then flashed and Mystake stood up straight.
Princess Lydia : Hello Mystake.
Mystake : You truly are a wise young girl, Lydia.
Skylor : Mystake?!
Nya : You were just.
Charlie : How, how did you do that?
Mystake : Perhaps now is the time to tell you all who I really am, except Lydia already knows with her own wisdom, I imagine.
Lydia smiled and nodded, and Harumi wrapped her arms around her daughter and carried her in her arms, and Lydia pulled her hood back on and they walked down the Canal.
Next Time on The Masks of Garmadon : Eric returns to tell his friends that The Garbage Depot was Raided and Hazel went down, just as Alex comes back and they decide to move on and secure the next part of Polastraits as they break out of the Beaches, and with hopes of securing Polastraits so Lydia and the others can leave the City, forcing Garmadon to leave as well, with him hoping to stop their aggression.
Will The Resistance endure? Will Eric and Alex secure Polastraits? Will Garmadon strike again?
