The Masks of Garmadon
ItsYoGreenGirl : Lydia's Transformation will certainly play a major roll in the last chapters of The Masks of Garmadon, but Chapter 30 is where it will all come together, and you'll have to wait and see for what I mean on that, but until then, they'll all just have to hope that Lydia's Candle will soon spark the flame she needs, to lighten not just her Grandfather, but all of Ninjago.
Chapter 27 : Lydia's Change of Heart
Last Time on The Masks of Garmadon : The Resistance in The Formlings' Kingdom had a successful mission in Mount Graystone and liberated Polastraits, only thing left to do for them is to message The Rest of the Resistance in Ninjago City, just as Harumi "Foiled" their plan, with Mystake missing and Charlie attempting to use Garmadon's Powers, with them hurting him in the process and accidentally poisoning his mother, and Garmadon punched the side of the building, and made Harumi fall down with it, with Lydia losing any Light left inside of her, and turning her anger towards Garmadon.

March 12th - Middle of Ninjago City
12:47 a.m.
Journal Entries : Montgomery and Lydia
"I know that it's very rare to survive a building collapse, but all I can do is hope that my Mommy made it, she's always been one of the toughest people I know, but my Grandfather's going to pay the price for that if she's gone, I know that I said it's the last thing I wanted, but all I wanted was my family back, and if my Mommy's gone, then there's no family left for me to be fighting for. . ."
Garmadon : You think you can hide from my wrath, I'll destroy every Building to find you!
The Resistance ran from the Colossus, and went down an alleyway.
Killow put Skylor down, and Nya did the same with Charlie.
Princess Lydia : Come on Charlie, wake up!
Nya : All I know, is that he isn't poisoned like Skylor is.
Dareth : Ever since Harumi fell, Garmadon's lost his Marbles!
Richard : Lydia, why did you say that to him?!
Princess Lydia : You know why.
Misako : Lydia, letting your anger control you over this isn't gonna help, you'll turn out no better than your Mother originally did, if you bury the best part of yourself beneath you.
Princess Lydia : Grammy, I'm not having that Conversation, unless you want to get yelled that.
Misako : Did you just threaten Me?
Princess Lydia : No.
Nya : But Dareth and Richard are right Lydia, it's not Safe here for you anymore.
Princess Lydia : Ever since The Assault on Kryptarium Prison, this city was never safe to begin with.
Alizah : Here we go again.
Killow : Alizah, that's enough.
Nya : Garmadon's not gonna stop looking until he finds us?
Princess Lydia : Shouldn't we head to the Building wreckage, and see if we can find my Mommy?!
Dareth : Are you nuts Princess, there's no way she could have survived that!
Princess Lydia : She did once.
Nya then remembered that while Harumi was at the bottom of the building as a child when it collapsed, she was still part of it.
Nya : Guys, maybe we should go find her.
Misako : Are you sure she could have survived?
Nya : No, we can't be sure until we find her, and if Lydia wants to take that risk, then we're gonna have to.
Killow : Since the Hospital is the only place in the City that Garmadon hasn't raided, bless that dark man's heart... if she's alive, we should take her there, and then move on.
Nya : Move on from here, Garmadon won't stop at anything until he finds Lydia.
Princess Lydia : I know.
Nya : I ditched the Battle Wagon across town, if we can get to it, maybe we can leave the city-
Princess Lydia : Leave the City?!
Nya : Just until things calm down.
Killow : We walk out of here Nya, we won't come back, Garmadon won't stop his wrath at all until he finds Lydia, if we leave the City, then so will he.
Dareth : Killow, Lydia... I'm with Nya, Mystake said we had to endure until the rest of the Young Ninja got back-
Princess Lydia : And they may never come back, you brown idiot!
Richard : I'm agreeing with Lydia, it's been two weeks, and they still aren't back, and for you guys it didn't even last a week and a half, if they aren't here by now, then maybe they aren't coming.
Nya : Nice, way to go Richard, way to look on the bright side.
Just then Nya's Phone went off.
Nya : Hello?
Eric : Hey Mom.
Nya : Oh hi Eric, I haven't heard from you in a while.
Eric : Yea... Good news though, we liberated Polastraits, you guys can leave Ninjago City, it's not safe there anymore.
Nya : Alright, does Lloyd now?
Eric : Yea, and so do Liv and Montgomery, Killow did a broadcast on the whole thing.
Nya and Alizah : What?!
Killow : It was better if they already knew, rather than Lydia being forced to tell them.
Misako : Good enough point for Me.
Eric : It's safe for you guys to come to Polastraits, we're gonna move on to Frostown shortly, and keep Polastraits under Heavy Guard, get her soon, and we'll be able to finish taking back The Formlings' Kingdom.
Nya : Alright. . .
Nya ended the call and they looked at the Princess.
Richard : Princess?
Princess Lydia : Alright, we go for the Battle Wagon, but we aren't leaving with my Mommy, dead or alive.
Nya : Okay, then let's go.
The Rest of the Resistance took off, with Killow carrying Skylor, and Nya carrying Charlie. . .
30 Minutes Later. . .
The Resistance was walking down the streets of Ninjago City, about 1 Mile from The Colossus, and they managed to run past Ultraviolet, until Nya stayed back to fight her.
Ultraviolet grabbed a post ( However she could hold it ) and swung at it Nya to hit her into a Car, and it fell on her.
Ultraviolet then revealed The Mask of Brutality, and put it on.
Nya was struggling, trying to get free, but she couldn't.
Ultraviolet : I'm Impressed... but it's a shame we couldn't be friends.
Ultraviolet pulled out her Sai, and was about to hit Nya.
But just then, The Battle Wagon came and rammed into Ultraviolet, and it sent her through a stone wall.
Princess Lydia : How's that for karma?
Lydia got out of the Battle Wagon, and so did Charlie, since he woke up, and Killow came to help get the car off of Nya.
Charlie : Aunt Nya!
The three went over, and they lifted the car, and Charlie helped Nya stand up.
Charlie : Aunt Nya, are you hurt?
Nya : Yea, she sprained my shoulder.
Charlie : Come on, we need to find Harumi, and get out of here.
Dareth : What about Mystake?
Charlie : I don't think there's anything left of her to save, if she's alive, we'll find her, but she said we have to endure, and we can't if we go looking for her, we find Harumi, and leave.
Everybody got into the Battle Wagon and drove off. . .
20 Minutes Later. . .
Near Borg Tower, The Battle Wagon was parked, and everybody ( Minus Nya because of her Shoulder, and Skylor because she was Poisoned, which Charlie still didn't know ) were digging through the wreckage to find Harumi.
Princess Lydia : Come on Mommy, where are you?!
Alizah : Lydia, there may be nothing of her.
Killow : That's not helping, I'm just glad Garmadon hasn't seen us down here yet.
Just then, Charlie heard something.
Charlie : Everybody stop!
They all stopped, and looked at Charlie, who was putting his hear to a pile of rubble.
Charlie : She's under here!
Everybody ran over to Charlie and started digging.
Killow : I got her!
Killow grabbed Harumi, but her clothes and her face were covered entire in dirt and blood.
Princess Lydia : Mommy. . .
Lydia fell to her knees and started crying, and Misako came over and hugged her.
Charlie : I just checked her pulse, she's alive, but not for long if we stay here, we're leaving her at the Hospital, then we need to head to Polastraits.
Misako carried Lydia in her arms, and Killow carried Harumi and they got into the Battle Wagon and drove off. . .
10 Minutes Later. . .
The Resistance left Harumi at the hospital and Nurse Rachet was there. . .
The Colossus was still shaking all of the City, by destroying the buildings around it. . .
Princess Lydia : Guys, we need to get my Grandfather to leave the City as well.
Nya : What?
Richard : Princess, are you crazy?
Alizah : Why?
Princess Lydia : Because, if we leave without being seen, he'll destroy the entire city, before we finish Liberating the Formlings' Kingdom.
Killow : She has a point you guys, Garmadon's Wrath won't end in Ninjago City, unless he leaves.
Charlie : True, but then he and the Colossus will follow us to The Formlings' Kingdom, along with his wrath, and The Formlings' Kingdom is already on the brink of collapse with all of the damage done to it, if it takes any more, then they may never be able to fix it.
Princess Lydia : Well that's the same case for Ninjago City, and right now, besides Polastraits, the only people in The Formlings' Kingdom that could get hurt are Garmadon's own men, so destroying the kingdom, would destroy his only defense.
Charlie : Alright.
Nya : I can agree with that.
Misako : I suppose so.
Just then, Nurse Rachet came down stairs.
Princess Lydia : How is she?
Nurse Rachet : Not good Princess... She's in Surgery right now and it's going well., but it's not looking too great for her vitals.
Charlie : Then I guess all we can do is get out of here, and wait.
Lydia had tears forming her eyes, and she slowly started crying as Misako grabbed Lydia, and carried her in her arms.
Nya : Well Nurse Rachet, when you get an update, tell us.
Nurse Rachet : I will.
The Resistance then leaves, and gets in The Battle Wagon to drive to Polastraits.
March 12th - Camp Snowfield, Frostown
10:46 a.m.
Journal Entries : Eric
"For a Few Days now we've been tightening the noose around the last escaping Sons of Garmadon as we roll towards the heart of Frostown, but like a cornered rattler, every one of us can bet that they have one last strike."
Right now The Resistance was at the large camp known as Camp Snowfield near the South-Western border to Frostown, preparing for a mission.
"If we're all gonna make our mark, we gotta be ready for anything, like teaming up with the Formlings, the heart and pride of the whole kingdom."
Eric, Harmony, Kieran, and Montgomery were at a supply truck emptying it and talking.
Eric : Something big is happening.
Harmony : Gotta be, my Dad is here. . .
Paul was with Brenden, Trigno, and Captain Holden talking to them about a new plan.
Paul : We received intelligence, about a Sons of Garmadon Supple Train carrying five of the stolen Armored Vehicles, and Guided Rockets, for an attack on Frostown, refueling near Fort Rhodes, that gives us just enough time to move our team into position, and it must be stopped, you guys proved yourselves in North Valentine and Mount Graystone which is why you'll get the opportunity, and the privilege.
Captain Holden : Thanks Paul, but it seems like a job for more than one platoon.
Paul : That's why I'm teaming you up with the Formlings.
Just then, they heard a horn, and it was the jeeps pulling up inside the Camp.
Alex saw who it was and she ran over to them.
Princess Alex : Mommy!
Alex jumped into her mother's arms, and Akita caught Alex and hugged her, and spun around one time as she carried her daughter in her arms, which made Alex laugh.
Brenden : Well it looks like you two caught a bit of it.
Clayton : Don't worry about it Dad, We've saved some for you.
Via : Looking forward to this new plan.
Trigno : To be honest, so am I.
Paul : Queen Akita, and Clayton will lead the Operation, they've been working on a few missions straight now, and know the Terrain well, so you'll defer to them.
Queen Akita : I heard about you liberating my Sweetheart's home in Polastraits, Impressive.
Trigno : We can't take all the credit.
Captain Holden : Just doing our job.
Just then, Clayton handed a picture of the train to Trigno and Captain Holden.
Clayton : Fine job it was, but it's just a warm-up i'm afraid, this is no ordinary Sons of Garmadon Supply Train, it's a Fortress on Wheels... our liaison Kataru will provide support if possible, but attacks on their network could mean we're on our own.
Paul : The Fate of The Formlings' Kingdom... is in your hands.
Everybody nodded and agreed, and they walked away from Paul.
That Night. . .
March 11th - Fort Rhodes, Frostown
10:57 p.m.
The Resistance was on a hillside near a small Sons of Garmadon outpost before entering the territory where the train was, and they could see the Railroad tracks for when the train comes.
Princess Alex : Somehow this reminds me of my Journey into The Old Growth Forest, searching for my animal form, listening to the sound of my own name from your ancestors, Mommy... before I helped Charlie kick the Sons of Garmadon's Butts at Camp 494.
Brenden : You are just an old romantic, Sweetheart.
Eric looked at Alex, and saw she was wearing a knit sweater dress, that was White, but the knit at the end of the sleeves was Light Blue, and so were here Gloves that she usually wore with her Princess clothes, and she was wearing Royal Blue leather boots then went to above her knees, and it was interesting to him that the sweater at a Light-Blue Tutu on it as well, it wasn't too bit or small and it was a bit long, since he went down past her shorts ( which were very short actually ), but he seemed to guess it was Alex's Personality, especially since she was wearing her headdress, so her hair looked like Akita's only the hair wasn't directly next to her cheeks, it was back by about two inches, and she still had her Blue Glossy Lipstick, Alex had the lines on her face ( Much like the Red lines Akita and Kataru have, Except they were Royal Blue ) and those lines appeared on her Arctic Fox form as well.
And Alex's shorts were pretty short, to where the tutu of the sweater dress even went father down then they did, but he didn't seem to think it mattered, as long as Alex liked her appearance.
Eric looked at Akita and saw she didn't have her headdress with her, which seemed a bit interesting that Alex had hers, and Akita didn't.
Eric : Like the threads, Alex.
Princess Alex : Oh, The Sweater Dress?
Eric : Yea.
Trigno : Was gonna say at first when your Mother showed that to you, the tutu that was on the sweater dress to me, I thought it would make you look ridiculous.
Queen Akita : She's six, to be honest wears Tutus are common thing for girls her age, especially if she likes having them on her normal clothes.
Princess Alex : I like what I wear, is that an issue for you Lieutenant?
Eric : As long as she can still kick their butts, I like what Alex wears.
Trigno : You would, and I'm not complaining.
Princess Alex : Thank you.
Just then they saw the train far away from them on the Railroad Tracks.
Clayton : Alright, there's our target.
Princess Alex : You were right, Lieutenant.
Trigno : Yep, you all gotta give those Bikers some credit, train's right on time.
Eric : Biggest Train, I've ever seen, thickest armor too.
Queen Akita : That there's a train known as a Rolling Thunder, and those Guided Rockets have a range of two hundred miles, more than enough to hit Frostown, which is why we can't let them reach the Launch Site.
Trigno quietly shushed the others when he saw Bikers.
Trigno : We got some enemy movement up ahead.
Queen Akita : Alright, Clayton and I will take them out, Trigno that'll be your signal to advance.
The two of them walked forward, and Brenden looked at Eric.
Brenden : Eric, since you and Alex were so gung-ho in Polastraits, you'll provide them with Fire Support... alright, let's go.
Everybody else followed Akita and Clayton and they stopped for a Moment.
Brenden : Everybody stay low.
Trigno : Suppressors on.
Everybody put the Suppressors on their Elemental Guns, and kept quiet.
Queen Akita : Take out the Sniper... use the darts Eric.
Eric approached the Biker and grabbed him behind and stabbed his neck with a Tranquilizer Dart, and it knocked him out.
Clayton : Nice one.
The Resistance then took out the guards near the small bridge and the street.
Queen Akita : Captain Holden, take a few men and go around the house.
Captain Holden : Alright.
Brenden : Eric, stay with Akita.
Eric : Understood.
Akita and Eric went inside the house, and a Guard walked through the hallway and stopped in a doorway to the next room.
Queen Akita : Careful Eric. . .
Eric shoved the biker down through the doorway and knocked him out with a Tranquilizer Dart
Queen Akita : Well done, let's go.
Eric : Alright.
they walked into the last room and they saw a biker get pulled out from the window behind him, and it was Clayton who did it, and knocked him out.
Clayton : Sniper's yours Eric.
Eric walked up to the last biker and used a Tranquilizer and knocked him out.
Eric : It's like a Sons of Garmadon Convention down there.
Queen Akita : Stay low and advance Slowly.
Eric, Clayton, and Akita split up and moved around the bikers in the supply area, and made it through the last house, but they heard the Train horns, and it started moving.
Via : Change of Plans... We've been Spotted!
Brenden : Akita, the Train's Leaving!
Queen Akita : We need to stop that Train!
The jeeps pulled up with the other Resistance members, and they started fighting the Sons of Garmadon.
A Tank that was on the train started shooting at the Resistance.
Harmony : It's Firing on us!
Trigno : Keep going, we'll cut through the Post Office.
The Resistance kept fighting, and they made it inside the small Post Office.
Trigno : We need to get through that back door to get towards the Train.
Montgomery : We'll never Make it!
Kieran : There's still time!
Eric made it to the door and he opened it.
But as soon as he did, the tanks on the Train started firing Machine Guns at him, and he fell back as they damaged the building.
Eric : Shoot!
The others ran in front of him and at the door, but Alex turned around and grabbed his hand.
Princess Alex : Eric, Get up!
Eric grabbed Alex's hand and stood up and they went outside.
Trigno : Everybody in the Jeeps now!
Everybody got into the Jeeps, and chased after The Sons of Garmadon.
Queen Akita : We need to stop that Train!
Princess Alex : Let's Go!
The jeeps drove off, and in one of them was Eric, Montgomery, and Kieran.
Montgomery : Come on, we gotta catch up!
Eric : Hold on.
Just then a tank started firing, and the trees near the tunnel lit on fire and blocked the tunnel the train went into.
Kieran : We gotta go around.
Montgomery : Stay on the Path, Eric!
Eric drove right and stayed on the path, and they hit a drop and kept moving.
Eric : Can you see it?
Kieran : It's up there, hit the Gas!
Montgomery : Left!
Eric turned left and went underneath the tall bridge, and they reached another turn.
Montgomery : Swing right!
Eric made the turns, and kept going.
Kieran : Under the bridge... We're gonna Lose It!
Eric : I'm working on It!
Montgomery : Crud, they're firing on us!
Eric drove the jeep fast enough to avoid enemy fire, and the train reached another tunnel, just as Kieran grabbed the wheel.
Kieran : I should have drove.
Eric : Well now's your chance, take the wheel!
Eric moved to the back of the Jeep, and pulled out his Elemental Gun.
Just as he did, the blast of a tank made the Jeep swerve.
A Biker appeared and threw something in the Jeep.
Kieran : Grenade!
Montgomery shot the Biker and he fell off the train.
Eric : I got it!
Eric grabbed the Grenade and threw it out, just as it exploded and it made the Jeep drive onto the tracks and it was caught on the train.
Montgomery : The Jeep's coming apart!
Kieran : Jump!
Kieran grabbed Montgomery and jumped off, and Eric had to pull himself onto the top of the Jeep and jump off, just as the jeep broke into a hundred pieces, and made the engine of the train fly off the tracks, and every other car did as well.
The Engine and the car directly behind it smashed into the small station that it was approaching.
a Fuel Tank flew off the tracks and exploded into the train wreckage that flew over Eric.
another Train Car stopped in it's side, and when it fell it nearly crushed Eric.
And the last car, which was a Flatbed Car went flying off the Train and into the watchtower, and made it collapse, and dust covered the whole area.
Eric was regaining consciousness and he heard a voice.
Kieran : Eric, where the hell are you?!
Eric looked up, and saw Montgomery and Kieran.
Kieran : We're coming, hang on.
Montgomery : Holy cow, did that really just happen?
Eric : Yea, I can't believe we made it.
Montgomery : That's one for the books, I hope Via had her Camera.
Eric : Trigno may get off our backs for five darn minutes.
Just then they almost got shot.
Kieran : Watch Out!
The Biker almost shot again, but another Man along with Alex shot him and knocked him out, and a man wearing White and Brown Formling Robes appeared.
Person : Follow Me, I'll take you to your friends.
Kieran : I'm sorry, who the heck are you?
Person : A Friend, now hurry.
Princess Alex : He's one of us you guys, now come on.
Eric, Kieran, and Montgomery grabbed their weapons and followed the Man and Alex.
They ran through the wreckage of the train and shot down some surviving Bikers along the way and knocked them out, when they reached a hillside.
Kieran : Looks like their up ahead.
Person : Your team is through here.
They climbed over one more flatbed train car, and reached the others.
Kieran : Let's never do that again.
Princess Alex : Deal.
Just then Brenden walked over, along with Akita.
Kataru : I believe these Young Men belong to you.
Princess Alex : Mommy.
Queen Akita : There you are, you little scamp.
Akita kneeled down, and Alex jumped into her Mother's arms, and Akita carried her.
Queen Akita : For a second I thought I lose you.
Brenden : Ah, I see you kids have met my Brother In-Law, Kataru, He's the Liaison in the Formlings' Resistance.
Kieran : Yea, he took out a biker that was gunning for us.
Queen Akita : You Could at least try to capture and interrogate them first, Brother.
Kataru : That would be more trouble than they are worth.
Queen Akita : Well this little scamp is trouble, and she's worth everything to Me.
Kataru : Somehow to me that seems sad.
Kataru looked at Alex, and then she smiled mischievously at her Mother, and then stuck out her tongue and spat in Kataru's Face, which made her and Akita laugh.
Princess Alex : Sly as an Arctic Fox.
Just then, Captain Holden walked over.
Captain Holden : There you three are, thought we lost you, and it looks like you did some damage.
Kataru : The Train was supposed to be Stopped, not Destroyed.
Trigno : Yeah, I'm sorry that things didn't go as planned, but on the bright side, we've just alerted every god danged, Sons of Garmadon outpost, in the whole area, so we gotta get moving.
Kataru : Not until we finish the Mission, isn't that right Commander?
Paul : Yea, we're actually gonna need to help The Formlings secure Intelligence from the wreckage.
Trigno : What?
Paul : We need the intelligence for a Mission.
Just then, Akita and Brenden showed them a picture of the City Hall of Frostown that was turned into a Garrison for The Sons of Garmadon ( The City Hall of Frostown was based off the New York City Hall )
Captain Holden : So, what is this Mission.
Clayton : For the next one of our liberates, this next mission will allow us to Infiltrate the Garrison that's been made in the Frostown City Hall, to allow us to take it, and free Frostown.
Eric : Sign me, up.
Just then, they saw the Battle Wagon come up to them, and stop and everybody raised their weapons until a little girl climbed out with her hands up.
Princess Lydia : Wait!
Eric : It's just the Princess.
The back of the Battle Wagon opened and everybody else climbed out, but Nya was barely able to move her arm, and when she hit it against the metal of the Battle Wagon, she immediately clutched her shoulder.
Eric : Mom!
Nya : Hey Eric.
Eric : What happened?
Nya : Ultraviolet sprained my shoulder.
Charlie : Yea.
Killow came out and put Skylor down, but her purple eyes were a shock to Charlie.
Charlie : Mom... wait, what happened to Her?!
Nya : You trying to tap into Garmadon's Powers was too much for either of you to bare.
Liv : Wait, Charlie tried using my Father's Powers?
Charlie : Yes.
Liv : Was there a pain from the Scar on your neck?
Charlie : Yea, a very sharp pain.
Liv : That's because if Charlie tries too hard to use those Powers it would hurt him, so Skylor must of tried to absorb it to stop Charlie from hurting itself, and Poisoned her in the process.
Misako : That works for Me.
Misako hugged Liv and Lloyd, glad they were okay at the moment, and Lydia smiled and jumped into her Father's arms when she saw him.
Princess Lydia : Daddy!
Lloyd caught Lydia and hugged her, and carried her in his arms.
Lloyd : Hi Lydia.
Misako : Lloyd, do you know?
Lloyd : Yea.
Princess Lydia : I'm sorry.
Lloyd : Don't be sorry Lydia, what happened to your Mother wasn't your fault.
Dareth : Actually Lloyd it was, that was her plan, the outcome was on her.
Lloyd : Why is he still here?
Montgomery : What about Mystake?
Princess Lydia : We don't know where she is.
Lloyd let Lydia down and she immediately hugged her brother.
Montgomery : Where is she right now?
Princess Lydia : Mommy's in the hospital going through Surgery, but right now, her vitals aren't doing well... If she dies, I'm never gonna be able to forgive myself.
Killow : It won't come to that Lydia.
Eric : So now what?
Princess Alex : Now we find the Intelligence in that wreckage, and take my Brother's home back.
Princess Lydia : It'll take more than that, my Grandfather knows where we are.
Liv : What?
Lloyd : How?
Misako : Lydia told him.
Montgomery : Why?!
Princess Lydia : He started destroying everything in the Oni Titan's sight in Ninjago City, the only way to keep him from destroying it more was to reveal our Location, so now he and the Oni Titan was coming this way, but with how slow it is, it'll still take a while, few days at Most.
Brenden : Then we better get started.
Clayton : Let's Go.
Everybody went into the Train's Wreckage, to try and find the Intelligence they needed.
"By Blowing up that Train we bought Frostown some more time, now we're gonna use the Intelligence we secured to have Akita, Alex and Clayton infiltrate a Sons of Garmadon Stronghold in the City, The Garrison, that's been built inside of The Frostown City Hall, and that's just the first half of the Mission, the next is saving Kataru and Queen Akita's Mother, if they can find her inside that building alive, but something tells me that's Alex and Clayton's business, but it's time we save The Formlings' Kingdom, Sign me up."
