Chapter 28 : Frostown's Freedom
Last Time on The Masks of Garmadon : The Rest of the Resistance takes cover in The Battle Wagon after Harumi and Mystake go down, and they find The Jade Empress in the building wreckage, with Nurse Rachet saying she may or may not make it, with them agreeing all they can do is wait, and they leave for The Formlings' Kingdom, just as Eric and his friends ambush a Train to prevent an attack of Frostown, and Brenden introduces the unfamiliar faces to Queen Akita's brother Kataru, just as The Rest of the Resistance arrives, with Nya and Skylor down for the count for the Meantime.

9:48 p.m.
Journal Entries : Eric and Lydia
"March 13th, 2045... Well it looks like this is it, we're gonna Liberate the Formling City of Frostown, with The Formlings' Resistance and Lydia's Forces, we intend to blow the front gates, and send those Bikers running, while The Fort Lexington Army and The Rest of the Resistance arrive at dawn... that means we take back Clayton's Home, Tonight. . ."
The Resistance was in a heavily guarded 20-floor building, discussing their plan to infiltrate the Garrison at The Frostown City Hall.
"The whole team is in the middle of Frostown working with The Formlings' Resistance, my cousin Clayton and my aunt Akita have a plan to sabotage to the whole occupation of the Sons of Garmadon in the city, and that means striking at it's heart."
Clayton : Using the documents we obtained from the train, my Mother, Alex, and I will pose as the Sons of Garmadon, and infiltrate the Garrison since Ultraviolet is still in Ninjago City, Alex's Cover is still alive, and I'm posing as another unmentioned member of her group.
Just then they heard a truck and they heard some people fighting outside, and Paul was about to check it out before Akita got their attention.
Queen Akita : This way, Gentlemen.
Akita led everybody to the roof, and they saw the beautiful city lights in the night at Frostown ( Which was surprisingly undamaged )
Queen Akita : The Garrison is being run by the Sons of Garmadon general Skip Vicious, when he couldn't find me in the heart of The Formlings' Kingdom, he came after my Brother... then he tried Brenden, and then he finally succeeded by taking my Mother.
Clayton : Tonight, Everything we've lost, and everything we've all fought for, will mean something, because tonight here on the Winter Island, we take back our City.
Just then Brenden pointed towards the huge building with enormous Sons of Garmadon banners on the sides of the walls, and huge lights going into the night sky.
Brenden : The Garrison at The Frostown City Hall, our contact will Supply Akita, Clayton, and Alex with Explosives, and when we blow the gates, that'll be your signal to approach them, and assault the Garrison.
Queen Akita : We're counting on all of you to help us take back our home.
Captain Holden : Alright kids, let's go get ready.
The kids started walking downstairs, but Charlie, Lydia, Eric, and Alex were still on the roof.
Charlie : You know these Bikers aren't gonna give up easy, right Cus?
Eric : Meh, I figured we could survive Trigno, we can survive anything.
Kataru put his hand on Eric's Shoulder, and got the kids' attention.
Kataru : I fought alongside him in the Realm of the Rivers, we should all be so brave, Akita and I, our Mother was the one who helped us with that, I'm counting on you kids to help bring her home when this is over.
Princess Lydia : We will.
Princess Alex : I won't fail you Uncle Kataru.
Kataru : I know you won't, Alex.
Queen Akita : You kids will be making your mark here on the Prophecy of The Formlings' Freedom, especially you Sweetheart, but first, let's say we're both Wolves, and we're about to enter the Den.
The kids then went downstairs to prepare for the mission.
1 Hour Later. . .
it's 10:50 p.m. and there is a Car in driving past the Checkpoints heading towards the Garrison, inside is Killow and Akita, and Clayton and Alex are in the backseats looking at the bikers forcing the civilians around.
Killow : Low level street thugs.
Queen Akita : Clayton, Alex.
Clayton : Yea?
Princess Alex : Yes, Mommy?
Queen Akita : I'm proud of you two for how far you've come, and what you've done, and be careful... if you two are stopped, your covers must be Iron-Clad, let's go over it again.
Princess Alex : I well know Mine.
Killow : So do I.
Queen Akita : Clayton, you are known as Grizzly, Arctic's Protector, and you've been sent to arrange for Skip Vicious' safe evacuation to Ninjago City... take some time to review it.
Clayton looked at the paper, and it showed the information, and he looked just like the identification picture on the papers.
Queen Akita : This is our once chance, and recruiting our inside man came at a terrible price, you are to find Marco, and exchange your briefcase with his, and hopefully he's obtained the explosives we need to blow the gates.
Clayton : We understand.
Princess Alex : We've come this far in this fight Mommy, we're gonna be damn sure that we finish it.
Killow : I have my own job inside of the Garrison, I'll meet you guys outside on the opposite side of the Garrison once this operation is complete.
The three of them got out of the Car, and Akita looked at her kids.
Queen Akita : Now who sent you two?
Princess Alex : Nails and Sawyer.
Queen Akita : Good.
The three of them approached a table and it was a checkpoint before going inside.
Akita made it past, but Clayton and Alex were stopped.
Guard : Arctic, we were told to expect you, Papers?
Princess Alex : Here you are, and I know the drill, here's the case.
a guard took Alex's Case and searched through it, and Clayton handed his papers over as well.
Guard : I haven't seen him before, what's his purpose?
Clayton : I am Grizzly, I'm Arctic's brother, I was sent by Nails and Sawyer to ensure she reached the Garrison, for her to arrange for Skip Vicious' safe evacuation back to Ninjago City.
Guard : I wasn't notified of this, but your papers seem to be in order, go ahead you two.
Princess Alex : Thanks.
Alex got her case back, and the three of them reached a door, that was out of sight from the bikers
Queen Akita : Now remember, our man is Marco, he's the guard Alex saved from Ronin's Salvage Yard and he's wearing a Gray uniform like the other high-ranking members.
Akita then kneeled down and hugged her kids.
Queen Akita : I love you two... and Clayton, don't let your sister out of your sight.
Clayton : I won't Mom, I promise.
Princess Alex : We'll see you on the other side, Mommy.
Akita opened the door, and the three of them walked inside.
Clayton : So what first.
Princess Alex : We look around and see if anybody knows Marco's Location.
Alex and Clayton saw one of the Guards wearing a gray uniform, and they spoke to him.
Princess Alex : Excuse me, Sir?
Guard : Ah, Arctic... another high ranking member, what can I do for you?
Princess Alex : My brother and I were told we could find Marco here, have you seen him?
Guard : No, he's probably in the Basement with the other guards.
Clayton : Thank you for the help.
Guard : You're welcome.
Alex and Clayton walked in the Hallway towards the basement entrance, but a biker in a black uniform slid the Metal door shut and locked it.
Guard : Nobody is allowed in the Basement without Proper Clearance.
Princess Alex : Now what, the Elevator's in the basement, so we can use that.
Clayton : I'll get the key.
Clayton pulled out a Tranquilizer Dart, and stabbed it in the shoulder of the guard, and took the basement key.
Princess Alex : Nice one brother.
Clayton : Thanks, now let's go.
Clayton opened the door and the two of them entered the Basement.
They saw a few guards wearing gray uniforms actually were playing Cards, and they saw a girl wearing Formling Robes, an Orange and Red Cape, and an Orange headdress that looked like a bird, was dragged into a closet.
Clayton : Via. . .
Princess Alex : How'd she get caught?
Clayton and Alex walked up to a guard and spoke to him.
Clayton : Excuse Me?
Guard : You kids shouldn't be down here, the boys can get a bit rowdy.
Princess Alex : We were told Marco would be playing cards down here, have you seen him?
Guard : The man just left for a Meeting, he's probably on the Second Floor.
Princess Alex : Thank you.
Guard : It was my pleasure.
Just then the two walked over to the closet door in the Basement, and opened it.
Guard : Leave, this is None of your Business!
Princess Alex : No More!
Alex grabbed a Tranquilizer Dart, and she struggled with the Bikers, but then stabbed his arm, and left the dart in his neck.
Via : Clayton, Alex?!
Clayton : Stay out of sight, sister... Mom's here too.
Princess Alex : We're taking back Frostown, the others are coming.
Via : I'll see you on the other side.
Clayton and Alex left the room, and Via managed to reach a vent and climb out.
They walked past the elevator into another room where a guard was asleep, and they saw something.
Clayton : Alex.
The two of them saw a paper that had a picture of an old age woman with White and Gray Formlings Robes, and the headdress of a Snow Leopard.
Princess Alex : Gramma.
Clayton grabbed it, and it showed a Map of the Garrison, and there was a small Cell Room on the third floor.
Clayton : That must be where she is.
Princess Alex : After we find Marco, we need to go get her.
Clayton and Alex got into the Elevator, and rode to the second floor, which was like the elevators that were used in the Mid-20th Century.
The Elevator stopped, and they saw the second floor was mainly used for Offices, or Meetings.
Clayton : Okay, let's look around.
The two of them looked around, until they saw a guard with strands of red hair.
Princess Alex : That's him.
The two walked up to the Guard, and talked to him.
Princess Alex : Hello.
Marco : Oh hello Arctic.
Princess Alex : Marco, we gotta talk.
Marco : This way please, Children.
Marco led the two of them into a closet with no lights on, and he looked at them.
Clayton : A Closet, nice.
Marco : We must be brief.
Princess Alex : Are you ready to make the exchange, Marco?
Marco : No, you're early, and I'm late for a meeting, we'll have to make the swap in the War Room.
Clayton : Okay, let's go.
Marco : No, they're watching me, use your cover to get in Skip Vicious' Office on the 3rd Floor, from there you can cut across the North Wing on the Garrison and avoid all of the Checkpoints.
Princess Alex : Got it.
Marco : We shouldn't be seen together, go now, and I'll meet you kids in the War Room.
Alex and Clayton walked out, and went to the Main Room in the center of the building, and used the Staircase to reach the 3rd Floor.
They walked over to the section where the Officers were, and they spoke to the Secretary.
Secretary : Can I help you, children?
Princess Alex : Yes, I'm Arctic, and this is Grizzly, we have Travel Documents for Skip Vicious, is he in?
Secretary : No, he's currently in a meeting, if you'll wait in his office, he'll be with you shortly.
Alex and Clayton walked inside the Office, and they shut the door.
3 Minutes Later. . .
Clayton : Alright, let's go.
Clayton opened a window, but as he did, somebody walked in.
Skip Vicious : I haven't seen you two before... May I ask what you two are doing at my window?
Clayton : Sorry, we just wanted to get some fresh air.
Princess Alex : I am Arctic, and this is Grizzly, we have the arrangements for your return to Ninjago City.
Skip Vicious : Arctic and Grizzly, interesting names.
Alex seemed to get slightly nervous, while Clayton kept a serious look on his face
Skip Vicious walked over to a decanter set, which in the middle had what seemed like a glass bottle that looked like a desk globe, he took the bottle off and took off the silver cap, and poured the clear liquid into two of the cups, and handed one of each to Clayton and Alex.
Princess Alex : Thank you.
Skip Vicious : Don't thank me yet, Arctic.
Alex and Clayton walked over to two of the chairs, and sat down, while Skip walked around in front of them talking.
Skip Vicious : So, The Emperor Garmadon sent you two to arrange for my safe evacuation, I am flattered.
Princess Alex : It was The Generals, Sawyer and Nails.
Skip Vicious : Very Good, one cannot be too careful in these times... and you two look so serious.
Alex and Clayton kept straight faces as they looked at the General.
Skip Vicious : Let's drink, for my return to Ninjago City... The Formlings deserve each other.
Alex and Clayton drank what was inside of the cups, and actually liked the taste.
Clayton : Seltzer Water, nice.
Skip stood up and what he was doing was making Alex nervous, especially since he mentioned the Formlings.
Skip Vicious : But my gosh, I will miss the cuisine out here, but I'm not sure what I will miss more, savoring the Formlings' sweet flesh, or watching them thrash to death.
Clayton : Interesting. . .
Skip Vicious : But there is one thing for which I am certain, Watching your Grandmother flail as she drowned under my very shoes gave me the greatest pleasure of all-
Alex had tears forming in her eyes, as she growled and Skip grabbed Clayton and threw him on the other side of the room, stunning him, and he grabbed Alex.
Skip Vicious : Princess Alex!
Alex gave a small scream at Skip grabbing her, then she put her left hand on Skip's face to push him back, and she reached her right hand for the broken glass bottle.
She grabbed it, and sent it straight into Skip's side, and she pushed him over.
Skip Vicious : No... Stop!
Alex didn't listen and stabbed him three times.
Princess Alex : This is for the Formlings, this is for my Grandmother. . . and. . .
Skip was Alex raise the bottle, and shook his head.
Princess Alex : This is for Me!
Alex sent the bottle in Skip's Neck, and she threw him out the open window and he landed in the middle of the street.
Clayton : Alex?!
Princess Alex : Clayton, get up.
Alex helped her brother and they climbed out the window, and they made it through an empty part of the Garrison to make it past all of the checkpoints.
Clayton : Did I just see that?
Princess Alex : Yes. . .
Clayton saw a Gold and Light-Blue power emitting from Alex's hands, and her eyes, and he knew. . .
.
It was her True Potential, though while he thought she already unlocked it, he and everybody else could have been wrong.
Just then, Clayton realized they were near the War Room on the 3rd Floor.
Clayton : Alex, what about Gramma?
Princess Alex : Oh yea.
Clayton opened the Map, and he saw they were near where she was.
Clayton : Come on.
Alex and Clayton walked over to the door, and they opened it.
Clayton then locked the door, and they saw an Old Woman wearing White and Gray Formling Robes, and the headdress of a Snow Leopard.
Princess Alex : Gramma!
Alex cut the chains from the ceiling, and removed the gag and face mask, and they saw their Grandmother's Face,
Yukiho : Clayton, Alex?!
Clayton ran over, and kneeled down next to Alex and they hugged their Grandmother.
Princess Alex : You're alive. . .
Yukiho : What are you kids doing here?
Clayton : Our Mom's here too, we're liberating Frostown.
Princess Alex : That Guard is supposed to come back here in a Moment, stay in that corner right there, and stay out of sight, our Mommy will be here soon.
Yukiho : Just be careful.
Alex and Clayton walked out, and they went into the War Room, and saw Marco.
Princess Alex : Sir, we got the "Files" you wanted.
Marco : Thank you, I'll look at them shortly.
Clayton grabbed the Briefcase, and put it down.
Marco : You two need to leave, now.
Alex grabbed the other briefcase, and they walked out of the room.
Guard : Seize that spy!
Marco : What is the Meaning of This?!
Guard : Munitions are missing from the Storage, and you were the last one there.
Alex and Clayton left and walked back to where their Grandmother was. . . but a Guard was in the way.
Alex nodded at Akita and she knocked the guard out, and dragged him into the closet, and they walked in, and Clayton locked the door.
Princess Alex : You never disappoint, Mommy.
Queen Akita : We've been Compromised, the whole place is on alert.
Princess Alex : They captured Marco.
Queen Akita : Tell me you made the Switch.
Princess Alex : Yea, we have the Explosives, and we have Gramma.
Queen Akita : What?!
Yukiho stood up from where she was hiding, and walked around towards Akita.
Yukiho : Akita. . .
Queen Akita : Mother. . .
Akita walked towards her mother, and hugged her, and Alex and Clayton let them have their moment.
Princess Alex : Mommy.
Queen Akita : Yes?
Alex gave Akita a "Watch" signal to tell her there wasn't any time for hugging.
Queen Akita : Sorry, but you have the Explosives?
Princess Alex : Yes.
Queen Akita : Then we're staying on Mission, we'll rally with the others in the Courtyard once we blow the gates.
Just then somebody else entered the room.
Via : Hey guys.
Clayton : Hey Via.
Clayton and Alex went into the Courtyard, and went to plant the explosives on the gates.
Via : Mom. . .
Akita quickly hugged her daughter through her confusion and shock
Queen Akita : Via, why are you here?
Via : I was captured, Clayton and Alex helped me escape the Basement.
Yukiho : Those two really are Impressive.
Queen Akita : Why do you think I brought them with Me.
In the Courtyard. . .
Alex and Clayton planted the Explosives, but they saw through a window on the first floor.
Princess Alex : Marco. . .
Clayton : Let's go get him.
Alex and Clayton lock picked a door, and went inside and knocked out one guard, and the one pointing a gun at Marco was taken out by Alex.
They quickly took the ropes off, and freed him.
Marco : Thank you, now let's do this.
Killow : I think we shall.
They saw Killow in the courtyard, and he helped them get back to the window on the second floor and into the Closet.
Princess Alex : Now it's up to you Eric and Lydia. . .
About a Quarter-Mile from the Garrison. . .
The Resistance was in Cover waiting for the Gates to explode, but it's been Five Minutes.
Princess Lydia : Something's wrong... we should go now.
Trigno : No, give it a chance, Hold your fire until they blow the Gates, get ready.
The Resistance got their Elemental Guns ready, and they saw the Gates explode.
Brenden : That's our Signal!
Trigno : Let 'em have it!
Everybody started then shooting their weapons at the Bikers and they started moving forward towards the Garrison.
Lloyd : Come on kids, they can't hold that Garrison without us, Let's Go!
Montgomery : We gotta hurry, These Bikers won't go down without a Fight!
The Armored Vehicles were being led by Romolus over the Bridge towards the Garrison, but he stopped.
Princess Lydia : Romolus, we gotta keep advancing to hold the Garrison.
Romolus : I can't, Flaming Mortar on the second floor, no way around it.
Eric : On It!
Eric used a Sniper and shot the Mortar.
Brenden : Romolus, get to the other side of the bridge with your Squad and defend the Street, we gotta link up with Akita and help them hold the Garrison.
Romolus : 10-4.
The Rest of the Resistance ran towards the East Gate to the Garrison, and they saw the Formlings.
Eric : Queen Akita!
Queen Akita : Glad you could join the Party.
Kataru : Wait, Mother?!
Yukiho : Hello, my Son.
Kataru : Where did you find her?
Princess Alex : She was chained in a Storage Room on the 3rd Floor.
Lydia and Eric both saw the Gold and Light-Blue Power emitting from Alex's Hands and her Eyes, and they smiled, because they knew it was her True Potential, and she was close to unlocking it.
Suddenly, Alex looked and saw Skip Vicious in the Middle of the Courtyard.
Princess Alex : Skip Vicious?!
Queen Akita : Alex, we can hold things her, take him down!
Eric : Should we go with her?
Princess Alex : Eric, you and Lydia come with me, we gotta take him, we take out the Leader, the rest will Surrender.
Princess Lydia : Alright... Daddy?
Lloyd : I'll be okay Lydia, go.
Eric : We'll see you guys on the other Side.
Lydia, Alex, and Eric chased Skip Vicious and they ran into the Garrison on the West Side heading towards the Roof.
Queen Akita : The Garrison's Almost Clear.
Clayton : It's not over yet, we gotta stop them before they launch a Counter Attack, come on!
the others followed Clayton to the North Side, and he grabbed an Elemental Shotgun and handed it to Lloyd.
Clayton : Uncle Lloyd, take this... Mom get a Smoke in there!
Akita threw a Smoke Grenade through the window and it went inside.
Clayton : We gotta clean the North Side out, and allow the others to get inside through the Front Door, open it once the First and Second Floors of the Northern Side are Clear.
Via : Got it, Brother.
Clayton : Alright, get it open!
Lloyd kicked the door open, and the Resistance went inside and fired at the Bikers stunned by the Smoke.
The Smoke Cleared and they continued to fire at the Bikers.
Averill : Clear!
Kataru : Lloyd, take Clayton and Killow and clean the Second Floor, we'll finish down here and take any left in the Basement.
Lloyd : Got it... Come on, Guys.
Clayton : Let's bust these guys open.
Clayton used his Animal Form and broke through the door, and Lloyd followed him.
They fired at the Bikers, and Lloyd used Killow for Cover, because of his big size.
Killow : I'll secure these Prisoners, get defenses up and help Romolus defend the Street.
Clayton : Easy enough.
Clayton found two Elemental Machine Guns, and mounted them to the ledge of the Corner Balcony.
Lloyd : You got it?
Clayton : Yep, those Bikers are gonna do all they can to retake the Garrison, if they get too far across the Bridge, use the Force Grenades.
Lloyd : Got it.
Lloyd : I see 'em Clayton, send the signal!
Clayton set off a Flare on the Mounted Mortar, and it blew and gave the others their signal.
Lloyd : Open Fire!
Every Resistance Member on the 2nd Floor, and the Street was firing at the Sons of Garmadon trying to cross the Bridge.
Romolus : We can't let them cross the Bridge!
Mary : Easy for you to say, you got the big tank!
Kieran : Probably because he knows how to actually pack a punch with it, Mom.
Averill : Focus on the task at hand, Guys.
Just then, The Shining King landed in the deep river that the bridge crossed over, on the right side of the Balcony where Lloyd and Clayton were, and it was Chopper Maroon, Paul, and Rhona.
Killow : Reinforcements coming in!
Paul : Defend the Bridge.
Just as they kept fighting, a Mortar in the far distance across the bridge fired at the Balcony.
Clayton : Incoming!
The blast hit the part of the building above them and it nearly hit them.
Clayton : We gotta move!
Just then, a figure wearing Green Royal Clothes threw a Force Grenade at the Balcony, and it launched Lloyd, Killow, and Clayton over the side, as the Mortar hit the Balcony again and blew up the side of the building.
Killow : Okay, ouch.
Clayton : I'm Okay, Killow get up!
Clayton helped Killow stand up, and the girl in the Royal Green Clothes walked over to Lloyd.
He looked up and he saw shocked when he saw a girl with White Hair, removed her hood.
Empress Harumi : You okay, Lloyd?
Lloyd : Rumi, you're alive!
Lloyd stood up and hugged Harumi, and she returned the hug, but groaned as well doing such.
Empress Harumi : Watch the Rib-Cage.
Lloyd : Sorry, you alright?
Empress Harumi : Yea.
Lloyd : Why aren't you in the Hospital?
Empress Harumi : I had Chopper come and get me, once Garmadon left the City, there wasn't anything stopping me from leaving.
Lloyd : But didn't you just have Surgery yesterday?
Empress Harumi : Yea, but I'm still Breathing and Walking.
Lloyd : Barely.
Montgomery saw who Lloyd was talking too, and he ran over to her.
Montgomery : Mom!
Empress Harumi : Hey Montgomery.
Lloyd pulled Montgomery back last second just to say something.
Lloyd : Take it easy Son, she's not fully healed yet.
Montgomery : Okay.
Lloyd let Montgomery and Harumi have their moment, and Montgomery's tears soaked his mother's shoulder.
Montgomery : I love you so much, Mom.
Empress Harumi : I love you too Son. . . Lloyd, where's Lydia?
Lloyd : On the Roof. . .
On the Rooftop. . .
Lydia and Eric, were dealing with the Last of the Bikers trying to help Skip Vicious escape with a Helicopter, and Alex was approaching him.
Skip Vicious : Is this how you're going to end it?
Princess Alex : How did you survive?
Skip Vicious : Resurrec-Tea, one of the easiest things to use in a War.
Princess Alex : You tortured my Grandmother, and tried to hunt my Mother down like an animal.
Skip Vicious : Because she is One, and so are you. . .
Princess Alex : You're wrong. . .
Skip Vicious : Then who are you people?
Princess Alex : We are Formlings. . . The Very Beings and Leaders from The Never-Realm, Leading The Formlings' Kingdom in The First Spinjitzu Master's Realm of Ninjago.
Skip Vicious : And you?!
Alex let the Elemental Power surround her hands, and her Blue and Yellow Eyes let the Power see through her.
The Elemental Power surrounded Alex, and it was even changing her clothes.
Princess Alex : My Name is Alex Kenway-
Skip listened closely to see Alex finish talking as he fired up her Powers.
Princess Alex : Protector of Ninjago!
Alex let the Power surround her, and from the Street, everybody saw a Light-Blue and Yellow Dragon appear, and on it was Alex, and her clothes had changed.
Clayton : Alex found her True Potential!
Queen Akita : Her place in The Prophecy is Coming True. . .
Skip got onto the Helicopter but Alex her Slow-Motion powers on it to keep it from escaping.
Princess Alex : I am the Master of Time... The Yellow and Light-Blue Ninja... and The Princess, and Future Queen of The Formlings!
The Helicopter tried to fly away, but Alex used her dragon and flew into it and carried the Helicopter above the Middle of the Bridge.
Skip Vicious : No, Let Go of Me!
Alex let her Powers surround her, and through her hood, she let a serious look on her face, as she used her Powers.
Skip : No... No... NOOOOOOOOO!
Alex Powers made The Helicopter Explode, and caused a huge flash.

5 Minutes Later. . .
Eric and Lydia were on the Street, and they were waking up.
Eric : What just happened?
Princess Lydia : A Flashbang, that's what.
Lydia stood up and she saw Harumi stand up across the street from her.
Princess Lydia : Mommy!
Lydia ran over to Harumi, and Harumi kneeled down as Lydia threw herself into her mother's arms, and cried on her shoulder.
Princess Lydia : You're okay. . .
Empress Harumi : I wasn't going to leave you that easily, Lydia.
Princess Lydia : I'm Sorry.
Empress Harumi : For what?
Princess Lydia : Sending you into the Tower again, I thought it would help us, but all it did was get Mystake Captured, it almost got you killed, and it got Skylor Poisoned.
Empress Harumi : We'll find a way to fix this Lydia.
Everybody else started waking up, and Montgomery and Lydia were being carried by their parents, and they hugged each other.
Lloyd : Let's hope that we never go through this mess again.
Montgomery : I think my sister will restrain herself.
Princess Lydia : Definitely.
The Royal Family of Ninjago had their moment and the others came back.
Paul : Is it Over?
Romolus : Did we win?
Kataru : We did it!
Via : We Liberated Frostown!
Eric : Yea... but where's Alex?
Just then everybody saw a Blue and Yellow Dragon. . .
Everybody : Alex!
Alex jumped off the dragon and her dress, and the powers actually made her float towards the ground, and she stood in the street and looked at the others.
Alex was wearing a White Dress, with the bell doing down to just past her knees, and she was wearing Yellow Silk Boots that went to just past her knees, and Dangle Earrings, that had Zircon and Chrysoberyl ( Yellow Gemstone ) Jewels in them, and she was wearing her Arctic Fox Headdress, and her hair was similar to Akita's again. Alex also had her Blue Glossy Lipstick, and there was a tiara on her headdress, that had a Light-Blue Zircon Jewel in the middle of it, and yellow Jewels on both sides of it.
Alex was also wearing Light-Blue Princess Gloves that went beneath the sleeves of her dress to her elbows, and there was a decent sized Light-Blue Bow on the back of her dress, and while the Dress itself was made of Linen, the very long sleeves of the dress that went all the way of Alex's hands were made of Lace, and the Gloves went beneath the Sleeves to Alex's elbows, and Alex's Dress had Light-Blue and Yellow small swirl accents around the bell of the dress.
Akita walked forward and slowly put out her arms, as Alex ran towards her Mother, and jumped into her arms.
Akita caught Alex, and let tears leave her eyes, as Alex cried her tears of joy on her Mother's shoulder.
Alex slowly stopped crying, but still let tears of joy soak her Mother's shoulder.
Akita kneeled down, while still hugging Alex, and she looked at Clayton and Via, and they dropped their weapons, and ran over to hug their Mother and Little Sister.
The others walked away and let the Formlings have their moment.
Princess Alex : I love you all so much.
Queen Akita : We love you too Alex.
Clayton : But how?
Princess Alex : I saw who I truly was, not believing in what others say to me.
Via : How?
Queen Akita : What do you Mean, Sweetheart?
Princess Alex : Every one of you was right when you said it matters on how I see myself, and fighting only for the freedom of not just our people, but for all of Ninjago, helped me see who I truly was, I'm not one of the Hands of Time, an animal, or just a ninja. . . I'm The Formlings' Princess.
Akita and the others pulled Alex into a hug, and they stayed like that for a few minutes, and Alex let more tears for joy, soak her Mother's shoulder.
Queen Akita : Come on, let's head back to the others.
The Formlings walked over to the East Side where the others were, and they were happy.
Eric walked forward, and Alex ran and threw herself into her Boyfriend's arms, and Eric even spun around one time when he wrapped his arms around her, and Alex let tears of joy soak Eric's shoulder, before she wrapped her arms around his neck, and he did the same around her waist, and she kissed him, and Eric returned the kiss and the others smiled.
Queen Akita : We did it!
Clayton : The Formlings' Resistance and The Fort Lexington Army are entering the City.
Trigno : I guess we'll get the Cake and Champagne after all.
Kieran : Hey Eric, you still think there's a young gal looking for a handsome Fort Lexington Soldier?
Eric broke away from his kiss with Alex, and held her hand as they walked over to the others.
Eric : Sorry buddy, other than Harmony, that was just to boost your morale.
Kieran : Well now he tells Me.
Just then everybody heard a small explosion.
But then they looked around the huge city, and saw the Civilians were setting off Fireworks.
Yukiho : What better way to see Freedom than Lights?
Kataru : Finally, something to Celebrate, huh Little Sister?
Queen Akita : There's no turning back for any of us, The Formlings and all of Ninjago have reclaimed Frostown, and The Winter Island.
Trigno : Well this ain't exactly over yet, The War's not done.
Mary : Put a sock in it Trigno, you're giving the kids this night.
Charlie : I wonder what Zach and Lucas would think of this.
Clayton : They'll be back Charlie, and so will your sister.
Eric : They'll all Come back, and hey, so will The Formlings' Kingdom.
Alex kissed Eric's cheek, and held his hand as she laid her head on his shoulder, and everybody looked at the Fireworks, lighting up the Night in the City of Frostown.
"Helping My Cousins to Liberate, The Winter Island's Main City of Frostown is something I'm never gonna forget, and hey I think all of us have seen Trigno smile, all that's left is The Night Island, and then The Heart of the Formlings' Kingdom, and then we're gonna ride this momentum all the way back to the Heart of Ninjago City, all of us."
1 Hour Later. . .
The Resistance made it back to Fort Rhodes, which was their Main Base of Operations in Frostown, and they were celebrating The Liberation for Frostown's Freedom.
Everybody was in The Main Hall of the Fort, and were trying to enjoy the party that The Army of Fort Lexington was doing for the Liberation.
Queen Akita : So, what now?
Lloyd : Always Onward, we Liberate the Heart of The Formlings' Kingdom next, and then it's straight back to Ninjago City.
Empress Harumi : You think she'll be okay Lloyd?
Lloyd : Lydia?
Empress Harumi : Yea.
Lloyd : Everybody she had before, she got back, she'll be okay.
Over by the Buffet, Alex was with Eric, Charlie, and Lydia and they were socializing, though Lydia for some reason was more focused on Alex's Dress.
Princess Lydia : I'm amazed that you got that from your True Potential, Alex, also amazed that Eric won't take his eyes of you.
Eric : How can nobody else, she's gorgeous.
Princess Alex : Thank you Eric.
Eric saw Alex eating something, but he couldn't tell what.
Eric : Was it that anyway Alex?
Princess Alex : Donut Sandwich.
Eric : What's that?
Princess Alex : It's two halves of a donut, that have been cut across, so you can put something in the middle of it.
Eric : I'm gonna guess it's Whipped Cream and Peanut Butter.
Princess Alex : How'd you know?
Eric : One, the colors, and two, it's all over your lips.
Alex scrubbed most of the Glossy Lipstick off so she couldn't get any of it on her dress, or in her mouth so she would make herself sick, and she grabbed a Paper Towel and rubbed the cream and peanut butter off of her.
Clayton : Little Sis, you're never gonna stop loving Peanut Butter.
Princess Alex : I know.
Via : Yea guys, she even once said if she had a Food Truck, everything she had would involve Peanuts, or Peanut Butter, or just Hazelnuts, Almonds, you name it.
Eric : what would she call herself, The Peanut Princess?
The kids laughed at what Eric said, especially Alex, until she grabbed a small cake, and shoved it in Eric's face, which made her burst into laughter.
Eric : I missed that taste first off, and second... Marble Peanut Butter Cake, surprising.
The kids laughed, until Lydia walked away and Charlie followed her up the stairs. . .
Once they got to the top, it was a Balcony looking at the Lights in the City, and the Fireworks that were still going off.
Charlie : You Okay?
Princess Lydia : Yea. . . Just curious of how all of this will end when I face my Grandfather.
Charlie : Yea, I'm curious if our lives will ever get better.
Princess Lydia : Somehow, through all of this... Something in my head is making me wish I didn't have them with me anymore. . .
Charlie : Why?
Princess Lydia : I guess, just after The Kryptarium Raid, I guess I shouldn't have let my feelings over me Like that, I know I'm just a young girl, and losing somebody at this age could drive them mad, with what happened to my Mommy, but I guess I just didn't want it to go down like this.
Charlie : Nobody wants it like this Lydia, but everything in our lives happens for a reason.
Princess Lydia : Like my choice to not be a Ninja, yet it happened anyway?
Charlie : I guess... though I can understand the Grandfather thing, do you remember anything about Last Summer?
Princess Lydia : Somehow no, it's just like every memory faded away, and that I was starting over with any friendship I had, yet somehow I was okay with that. . . at least until the Palace was, taken away... what about your Grandfather, do you remember anything, from when he was Bad?
Charlie : No, not really... It was like the second he saw me for the first time on that Island that his heart had changed, and he wanted to do everything right this time, and he wanted to do that by being the Father that my Mother wanted him to be, the same way my parents were to him about being my Grandfather... what about your Grandfather, last summer?
Princess Lydia : I can't remember, or the Memories of when I was a baby... I just seem to give him the Memories, while I can't exactly see them myself... your Mom and Dad?
Charlie : My Relationship with my Mother is rough around the edges at times, mainly because any time she worries or shows in her own worry that she cares about me, I return that feeling by hurting her, and It always takes a while for me to fix that, just for it to stay again, while with my Dad, it's one of the better relationships I could have, with him always showing he cares about me, like during the Tournament when he came just to watch over me the whole way... what about your Parents?
Princess Lydia : They're still here with me, I know that, but it's sometimes in my Nightmares or my Dreams, believing they will come true, and I fear I will lose them, and when I think or see that I do... I wake up-
Charlie : You're not alone, Liddy.
Charlie put his hand on Lydia's Shoulder, and she smiled, now that she fully knew Charlie's meaning, and she put her hand on his shoulder next.
Princess Lydia : Neither are you.
Charlie smiled, and heard Lydia speak.
Princess Lydia : I know it's difficult for both of us without some important people in our families, and I know basically right now you don't have your Mother or Grandfather, and it's difficult to think or wait and see if The Realm of Oni and Dragon will ever bring your Sister and Father back, and I can't imagine what must be going through your head, but whatever happens... I'll be here.
Lydia pulled on Charlie's arm, and stood up straight to kiss his Cheek, and Charlie still let the shock consume him as she stared at Lydia.
Princess Lydia : Sorry, I forgot that I hurt you... should I not have done that?
Charlie : No... Yes, I mean *sigh* It's okay Liddy, you've changed, and I respect that, because I have as well, and at least we aren't still in Strangler's Path.
Lydia giggled, and Charlie began walking back down the stairs, as he turned around and reached for Lydia's hand, and she took it, and they walked back downstairs.
Lydia now knew who she was, and where her place was as Leader of the Resistance. . .

Next Time on The Masks of Garmadon : The Resistance moves on to The Heart of The Formlings' Kingdom, for the last Liberation before heading back to Ninjago City, as Garmadon turns back where he came from, to head back to the City and defend it from The Resistance, and the Resistance pulls through, just as they roll into the City and get cornered by The Sons of Garmadon, and a surprise visit comes up, and it could very well be the last thing The Resistance needs before they stop Garmadon, together.
