Hello, everyone. BackfireDuelist4 here. After seeing how many people were enjoying my first story, I have decided to start posting this one. It will hopefully start explaining the character that I created, as well as how unique she is. I will be creating other stories to help as well. Before we jump in, I would like to point out that this is not the same character as is seen in the first story, yet is similar in many ways. I hope you enjoy this story. Oh, and before I forget, part of this chapter is to help those who are new to the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game by providing a long explanation of the basics. Any of those who are already familiar with it can skip over it.

I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V, only my character and the cards she uses. Any mention of other characters, shows and concepts are simply to help you understand the situation my character is in, nothing more, nothing less.

Chapter 1: A Calling From Another World

Some of you are wondering how I got here. And honestly, I don't know. I guess I should start at the beginning.

I was walking home from school after a long day class. The most interesting thing about me is that I enjoy playing the Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game.

Basically, the game is usually played with two players called Duellists. Each Duellist possesses a deck of 40 to 60 cards, with them divided into three separate types of cards. These types of cards are Monster, Spell and Trap Cards. Each set of cards are separated into subtypes. Spell cards are green with the word Spell written on it, as well as text which tell the player what it does. Next are trap cards. These cards are similar to Spells, but instead of being green, they are purple, and they cannot be played immediately and must be placed Face-Down and can be activated when the conditions written on the card are met. And finally, there are Monster cards. Unlike Spell or Trap Cards, Monster Cards are beings that you can summon to your side of the field. They possess orange and gold stars called Levels, as well as Attack and Defence points, all of which vary from Monster to Monster. Monsters also are categorized into many different types. However, the more noticeable types are the six Special Summoning methods, the first being Ritual Summoning, which utilises a specific Spell card and its corresponding Monster listed on the card. In order to Ritual Summon, you have to activate the Ritual Spell, then place Monster cards from your hand or field into the Graveyard pile until you have reached or exceeded the number of Levels on your plain blue Ritual Monster, then you take it from your hand and place it onto the field.

The next summoning method is Fusion Summoning. Fusion Summoning allows you to summon a purple Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck using a Spell, similar to Ritual Summoning. In order to Fusion Summon, you must activate a Spell or Trap Card that allows you to do so, the most common card being the Spell Card Polymerization. After doing so, you must send Monsters from your hand or your field to the Graveyard, then summon the Fusion Monster that has those Monsters listed in its summoning requirements.

The next summoning method is Synchro Summoning. Synchro Summoning is different from the others because it is the first to use only Monster cards in order to summon the white Synchro Monster. In order to Synchro Summon, first you summon a Tuner type Monster. Then you send it and one or more non-Tuner type monsters from the field to the Graveyard. Then you summon a Synchro Monster in your Extra Deck whose Level is equal to the combined Levels of the Monsters you used to summon it.

After Synchro Summoning is Xyz Summoning. Xyz Summoning is one of the easiest forms of Summoning due you can use any kind of Monster to summon it. In order to Xyz Summon, first you must have at least two Monsters on the field that have the same Level, then you Overlay them by stacking them on top of each other. Afterwards, you place the black Xyz Monster in the Extra Deck with the same Rank on top of it. Unlike other Monsters, Xyz Monsters possess black and gold stars called a Rank instead of a Level. However, this does not mean their Level is 0, as the Rank is replacing the Level, not that it has no Levels. This is a common mistake for other Duelists to fall for if they have an active card effect which negatively affects your Monsters. But that also means that Xyz Monsters do not benefit from any effects that help Monsters with Levels.

Next is Pendulum Summoning. Pendulum Monsters are Normal and Effect type Monster Cards which have a green colour on the bottom half of the card. They also possess an additional effect which they can use in the Pendulum Zone, as well as a Scale, which is two arrows on the left and right of the card which have a number in them. In order to Pendulum Summon, you must first place two Pendulum Monsters in the Pendulum Zones. Then you can Pendulum Summon up to five Monsters from your hand to the field as long as their Level is in between the two Scales. You cannot Pendulum Summon Monsters whose Levels are equal, more or less than the two Scales. When a Pendulum Monster is would be sent to the Graveyard, they will always be sent to the Extra Deck instead, so you can Pendulum Summon them again and again, with the only exception being that they were Xyz Materials. Then they would be sent to the Graveyard. While a Pendulum Monster is in the Pendulum Zone, they are always treated as a Spell Card.

Finally, the sixth Special Summoning method is Link Summoning. Unlike any Summoning Method before it, the blue coloured, hexagon imprinted Monsters do not possess Ranks, Levels or even a Defence Mode. Instead, these monsters have Link Arrows, red arrows that point to various zones on the field. They also possess a Link Rating, an exact count of how many monsters were needed to summon it. In order to Link Summon, you send two or more Monsters on the field to the Graveyard, then place the Link Monster from the Extra Deck and into the Extra Monster Zone. With the introduction of Link Summoning, all other Extra Deck summoning methods were limited to one Extra Deck Monster in the Extra Monster Zone at a time. The only way to summon multiple Extra Deck Monsters is by using the Link Arrows on Link Monsters, which allows you to summon a Monster from the Extra Deck to that Link Monster's Link Arrows. You can also use other Link Monsters for a Link Summon, and as a bonus, their Link Arrows can also be used as the additional Monsters for the summon.

The field for the game has changed over the years. Originally, the field had fourteen zones, five Monster Zones, five Spell/Trap Zones, the Deck Zone, the Graveyard Zone, the Field Spell Zone and the Extra Deck Zone. With the introduction of Pendulum cards, the two Pendulum Zones were created. They were originally two separate zones, the left zone located between the Field Spell and Extra Deck zones, and the right zone located between the Graveyard and Deck Zones. With the recent introduction of Link Monsters, the Pendulum Zones were moved to the leftmost and rightmost Spell/Trap Card Zones, with the zones becoming Extra Monster Zones and moved to above the middle left and middle right Monster Zones, and the Monster Zones were renamed as Main Monster Zones.

Now I have explained that, I can tell you more about how I got into this predicament. You see, the Yu-Gi-Oh card game also has a long-lasting TV series, with the other ones being both continuations and spinoffs of the original series. My favourite of these is Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V. While I was walking, I noticed a strange glow coming from the pockets where I keep each of my decks in. I took out one of them and noticed that the cards were glowing. Suddenly they started glowing brighter and the next thing I knew; I was lying down on the ground of a dock which I did not recognise. I got up off the ground and looked around, then I said the next logical thing that came to mind.

"WHERE IN THE WORLD AM I!"

There we are, first chapter done. For the rest of the story, just wait patiently. It will be there soon.
