Hello, everyone. Good to see you back again. Sorry about the cliffhanger last chapter, but with the whole explanation thing, it was starting to get a bit long. In this one, though, I will now be getting into the main bit. There will be a Duel, but it will be from my OC's perspective. If you want to see her in a Duel, then you're going to have to wait for a bit longer. Not too long though. I hope. Anyway, onto the declaration.

I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V, only my character and the cards she uses. Any mention of other characters, shows and concepts are simply to help you understand the situation my character is in, nothing more, nothing less. Onto the chapter!

Chapter 2: The Birth Of The Swinging Pendulum

After I had my little panic attack, I decided to have a look around. I noticed that there were a lot of warehouses, all of them lined up in a row. The next thing that jumped out at me was that everything was different, as in everything looked like it was animated. Next I checked myself out, at least, what I could see. To my surprise, I was animated myself, and similarly designed to the warehouses. Then I decided to check my pockets, in case anything on me was left behind. Sadly, I was not wearing my backpack, which had my laptop and other important items inside it, nor did I have my keys or my wallet, which had all my identification in it. But what I did have was the four Decks of Yu-Gi-Oh cards I had in my pockets, including the one I was holding before I came here, which were now located in Deck holders inside my jacket, and what looked like some sort of gift card. Written on the card were the words "Duel Point Gift Card". The words "Duel Point" seemed familiar to me, however, I could not remember what they meant.

After I looked around, I decided to head off to look for anyone that could tell me where I was. Eventually I came to a road bridge that seemed to head towards the main city. While I was walking around, I payed close attention to the other people around me. It was then I confirmed that the animation style was in fact anime, which narrows down the place I was in considerably. As I passed one of the shop windows, I finally noticed my reflection. I was a young girl, about 14 (but it was hard to tell until later), I had maroon hair with red highlights tied into two pigtails that reached my shoulders and clipped up with blue hair clips, with the longer fringe of hair on my left side swept to the left. My eyes were what I call energon blue, almost glowing. I was wearing a black jacket with purple highlights on the edges over a black shirt. I also wore black pants and a pair of combat boots, giving me a darker look compared to the other people around me. As I looked at my new reflection, I was somewhat unnerved by the contrast of my eyes compared to the rest of me. I almost looked possessed.

Shrugging I continued to look around until I reached what I presumed was the centre of the city when I was stopped by the sight of the building in front of me. It was probably the tallest building in the city, with the glass from the windows giving it a blue look, and right at the top were the initials 'LID'. After seeing this particular building, I instantly knew where I was, as well as which reality I was in.

"Curse you Ka." I said to myself. The reason for this is because some multiversal being decided it would be fun to send me into the world of Yu-Gi-Oh, specifically the era of Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V. Now, you would think I would be happy about this, because by some miracle of nature, I have been sent into one of my favourite shows. The reason I'm not happy is because Ka. Ka is a multidimensional force that can influence people in different ways, especially in TV. Ka is also known as the Narrative, and few beings are aware of this force, and fewer are able to use it, and fewer still are able to break the 'Fourth Wall' as it is called and interact with the reader/viewer. However, whether we know it or not, it is there, and for the most part, dictates the lives of both us and the characters we see on both screen and paper. Which means I am now a part of this story, and while I am aware that this is a story, I cannot at the moment read any of the script. So, until I either meet an alternative version of Pinkie Pie or I suddenly have the ability of seeing into the future of this story, I will have to find out when I am in this series and what I have to do myself. This is definitely not going to be easy.

Fortunately, I already know what I have to do. The first step is to buy myself a Duel Disk and then try and ask people questions. That way, not only will I discover when I am, I will also be able to keep a close eye on things. Fun.

Elsewhere

An intercom rang on a desk. The man in the room answered it and his voice spoke. "Speak." He said simply.

Another man's voice came from the intercom. "Sir," he began, "we have detected a spike of energy in the warehouse district. It was some form of teleport."

The man narrowed his purple eyes. "Was it them?" He asked.

"No sir." The other said. "This teleport was different, and as far as we can tell, only one person came through."

"Have you found the person who came here?"

"No sir. We sent men to check the area, but no one was there."

"Did you record the energy produce the teleportation?"

"Yes sir. It appeared to be a mixture of different summoning energies. Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and two others that we do not know."

"Thank you. Keep an eye out for anyone who seems out of place. Make sure that we find them first."

"Yes sir." The man on the other side of the line said before hanging up, leaving the other one alone with his thoughts.

"Someone new has arrived in Paradise City." He mused. "Someone who is extremely powerful if they were able to create that kind of signal upon their arrival. Must find out who they are and recruit them to my side before they find out about them. They could be the key to saving the world."

"Achoo!"

I rubbed my nose as I arrived at an electronics store, surprised at the sneeze that happened.

"Someone must have been talking quite seriously about me." I said to myself. "I must be careful not to attract too much attention while I am here. Who knows what would happen if they find me?"

As I walked into the store, I did a quick check around, eventually spotting some shelves with Duel Disks placed on them.

"Perfect." I said. I then walked up to a store employee and caught his attention. "Excuse me," I asked, "I would like to buy a Duel Disk."

The man looked interested when I asked that question. "Going to attend one of the schools so you can learn how to Duel?" He asked while smiling.

"I already know how to Duel with my cards." I said politely. "I just need a Duel Disk in order to play against other opponents."

He looked slightly surprised when I said that, as he usually had parents buying the Duel Disks for their children to learn how to duel at one of the Duel Schools, so having this young girl asking to buy one, and already knew how to Duel, surprised him. However, he collected himself and led me to one of the shelves displaying the Duel Disks in different colours.

"Which one do you want?" He asked.

I looked at each of the Disks displayed, deciding which one I should buy. Then one of them caught my eye. It was a dark violet Duel Disk with, according to the sign underneath it, a neon purple angular blade. As I saw it, I knew immediately that that was what I wanted.

"I would like that one sir." I decided, pointing to it.

The man smiled and lead me back to the counter. The then took out a box which had a picture of it while active on it. The then placed it on the counter and looked at me. "Would you like it set up now or would you like to do it yourself at home?" He asked me.

"I would like to set it up now please, sir." I politely said.

The man smiled as I said that. "Good. Cash, credit or Duel Points?" He asked.

I took out my gift card and gave it to him. "Will this do?" I asked.

He took the card and used it and was promptly surprised that it not only had the credit to buy the Duel Disk, but it also had enough left over to transfer. He smiled and returned it to me. "Congratulations. You are now the proud owner of this Duel Disk. Let me unbox it and help you set it up." He said.

A few minutes later, I could be seen leaving the store with a new Duel Disk on my arm and a pleased smile on my face. The reason was because not only do I have something to use in the event of a Duel, but a have also pinpointed the fact that today was the first episode, meaning that I would be able to watch Yuya Sakaki Duel the Sledgehammer and Pendulum Summon for the first time. Not only that, I would also have a good excuse to find and sign up to attend the You Show Duel School, which meant I could keep an eye on Yuya and Zuzu more easily, without anyone suspecting me of not belonging in this universe. Still, I would have to be careful, because since Sora is from the Fusion Dimension, he would immediately be suspicious when I start using Fusion summoning, as that is what most of my Decks are based upon. I will also have to be careful about Declan, as his company would most certainly have detected my arrival. Next, I would have to watch out for Yuto and Shay, as they would be suspicious of me and, in the latter's case, would challenge me to a Duel the moment they see me Fusion Summon. Finally, I will have to be careful about what I say around everyone, as I might let it slip that I am not from this world, and that I know how the events progress, and that might change the timeline, if it hasn't changed already. Because if that happens, things much worse than Ka would be unleashed upon both me and this small multiverse.

Eventually I decided that since I did not know where I needed to be, I would head to the arena where Yuya and the Sledgehammer would be Duelling. I was lucky that I was able to get help while setting up my Duel Disk, because if I did not, then I wouldn't know how to use the GPS that was installed. As I ran over the bridge that ran parallel to the arena, time seemed to slow down as I passed a green and red-haired boy with goggles placed over his eyes, staring at the arena while holding a pendulum with a blue crystal set into it. Then time sped up again as I continued running. Eventually I got to the arena and made sure to stay hidden in one of the halls leading to the stands, although I was just outside enough so the cameras could see me. However, I knew that Declan and his staff would be too distracted with the spectacle that was about to happen.

A watched as Nico Smile introduced himself and then explained what Action Fields and Action Cards were. Then he introduced the Sledgehammer and Yuya, the latter not appearing as he was called. I heard some of the crowd's assumptions about Yuya not arriving, none of them good. Fortunately, I already knew what was about to happen, and was not surprised to see Yuya dressed in a clown costume acting silly behind the Sledgehammer. I watched as the crowd started calling out to the Sledgehammer, trying to tell him to look behind him. Then he did, and amazingly, I could hear his shock from here.

"Wha!" He cried out when he saw Yuya. "When did the circus come to town?!"

"It didn't." Yuya replied with a smile. "I'm your opponent."

I watched, amused, as the events started to unfold.

Somewhere in LID

"Sir, we have found the person that we think was responsible for the energy surge earlier today!"

The person who spoke said this to a man on a raised platform inside a dark room full of screens and people typing away at computers. The man on the platform narrowed his eyes in interest.

"Show me." He said simply.

The screen in front of him immediately displayed a video of a young girl leaving an electronics store as the person answered. "We caught video footage of her leaving this shop after purchasing a new Duel Disk. However, it is only now we have any record of her."

"Display her information." The man ordered.

The footage on the screen was immediately replaced with a file displaying a picture of the girl and her Duel information.

Name: Luna Midnight

Age: 14

Gender: Female

ARC League: Unknown

0 Duels

Win: 0

Lose: 0

"Interesting." Thought the man. "Keep an eye on her, that way we can determine whether she is friend or foe." He said.

"Yes Sir!"

I watched as the Duel continued, carefully checking that there were no changes in the timeline due to my arrival. As I watched, I saw the Sledgehammer back Yuya into a corner, successfully sending Odd-Eyes Dragon back to his hand. I saw Yuya fall to his knees, saddened by the prospect that he might lose this Duel. Then he started standing up, and I somehow was able to hear what he said. "Okay, pendulum, you've swung his way! Now it's time to swing my way!" And that's when I saw it. When Yuya drew his card, his pendulum started glowing as he said the words that changed Duelling as everyone knew it.

"I'm using Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician to set the Pendulum Scale. I'm taking control of this Duel starting now!" He declared. "I'm allowed to Summon Monsters from Levels 2 through 7 all at the same time."

Two Monsters appeared in pillars of blue light, with a stylised 1 and 8 appearing beneath them. Between them, a massive version of Yuya's pendulum appeared, swinging from one side to the other.

"What is that kid doing!?" Exclaimed the Sledgehammer.

"Swing far pendulum, carve the arc of victory. My monsters are ready, to Swing into Action!"

The portal opened above Yuya, and three streams of light shot out depositing three Monsters onto the field. On the right of Yuya was Performapal Whip Snake. To his left was Performapal Swordfish. And in between them appeared Yuya's newly evolved Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. The red dragon let out a roar as it appeared on the field, ready for battle.

I felt the shock of the crowd as Yuya performed the impossible and invented an entirely new summoning method. I also knew that Declan would be surprised at the new developments.

The Sledgehammer asks how Yuya was able to Summon three monsters at once, including a Level 7 monster like his Odd-Eyes without Tributing. Nico appears on his Duel Disk's communication screen and he explains that the Duel Disk accepted the Summon. The Sledgehammer then realized that the Summon must have been legal.

I watched Yuya rise up on the head of Odd-Eyes as he activated the effect of Whip Snake, which switched the ATK and DEF of Battleguard King and the Monster fell to its knees, as it's Attack Points fell to 1100. Yuya then activated the effect of his Sword Fish, and the Monster materialized six more copies of itself and blasted them at Battleguard King. The six Sword Fish struck the ground around Battleguard King and I listened as Yuya explained that the effect reduces the Attack Points of Battleguard King by 600 for the rest of the turn, reducing it to 500 Attack Points. Nico gasped and declared that Yuya had reduced Battleguard king's 5000 Attack Points to 500 in an instant. I watched as Yuya commanded his Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon to attack his opponent's Battleguard King. Odd-Eyes' eyes began to glow and the orbs around its body lit up.

"Your attack is about to be extinguished." The Sledgehammer said. "I activate my Trap, Battleguard Howling."

The man then activated the trap and it glowed as he spoke. "Now your Odd-Eyes must retreat to your hand, but before it disappears, you'll take all its attack points as damage!"

"Timegazer Magician," Yuya chanted, "you've mastered the deepest secrets of space and time, use your powers to save me from the past! Check this everybody, Timegazer's Pendulum Ability can rewrite history! So sledgehammer, your Trap has been trumped! Infinity Gear Reverse!"

Timegazer extends a curved disc with gear-like teeth as a clock appears and winds backwards, re-Setting the Sledgehammer's Trap Card.

The Sledgehammer ran into the jungle and leaps grabs the Action Card "Evasion" from a tree to negate the attack.

"I'm activating an Action Spell Card!" he said, playing Evasion.

"We've reached the grand finale Stargazer Magician, let's end this duel with a trick fans here will never forget. Watch in wonder as Stargazer magician activates his Pendulum Ability! When there is a Pendulum Monster battling, Stargazer can stop Spell Cards from activating. Halting Horoscope!"

Stargazer then traces an outline through the air that forms a constellation, negating the Action Spell and Setting it on the Sledgehammer's field. The Sledgehammer is shocked as he exclaimed. "That move leaves me wide open!" Then he ran off as quickly as possible to find another.

Yuya rode on Odd-Eyes as he spoke. "Everything is set Odd-Eyes, let's give the Sledgehammer a blazing send-off!" Odd-Eyes then rushed forwards and it leaped into the air as Yuya cried out "Spiral Flame Strike!" Odd-Eyes then unleashed a dark red beam from its mouth, and Battleguard King then intercepted the attack with its club.

"Nice try, but that attack couldn't even toast a marshmallow!" Declared the Sledgehammer.

"Then I guess I will have to turn up the heat!" cried Yuya. "Since Battleguard King is a Level 5 or above monster, Odd-Eyes' special ability deals double the damage!" The orbs on Odd-Eyes glow, and the Dragon unleashed an orange plume of flame surrounding the first stream aimed at its opponent.

"That's a wrap!" Yuya cried as the attack destroyed Battleguard King and blasted the Sledgehammer backwards. He lands on his front as the doubled damage reduces his Life Points to 0. A portrait of Yuya pops up displaying the word "WIN" to the entire crowd, who are shocked into silence.

I then decided that now would be the perfect time to leave. I then plugged in the coordinates for the You Show Duel School into my Duel Disk and left the stadium.

There we go, another chapter done! As you have seen, I have just shown you the first ever recorded Pendulum Summon! Also I have shown you what my OC character looks like, as well as her Duel Disk. In the other stories I have read on this sight, most OCs from our world would come to ARC-V with a Duel Disk already with them. So I decided that my character would arrive in this world without one, because I find it more logical that way, and she would have to explore the city anyway, as well as find out what the functions on it were.

As for the Duel Point gift card, I needed a way for her to buy the Duel Disk, so i decided to include Duel Points as an alternative currancy in this world.

Finally, a little game. I am hoping that you noticed little details I put into the story, so I ask you to guess who the unnamed person is and who my OC resembles before you see chapters 3 & 7. You will find the answer to the former person in 7. I will be posting clues to his true identity whenever he's seen until then. Good luck!
