Chapter Fifteen: A Heated Moment For Two

Naruto was confused when Hinata nearly dragged him away until he figured she wanted time alone with him, since they really haven't had much time to do so since the whole Atatsuki attack happened. Smiling, he waited until she stopped then he tugged her into his arms and leaned against a tree. "Sorry you had to hear that.. I never thought I'd yell like that at Kiba.."

Hinata smiled and hugged herself closer. "It's alright, Naruto-kun.. You've just never had a sibling to protect until you took Misaki-chan under your wing. I understand. I would've reacted the same way if Hanabi-imouto was in the same situation." When she looked up, she realized he was just inches away from her, which turned her face extremely red as her heart pounded in her chest. "Naruto-kun..." She whispered.

Naruto was starting to get annoyed at how proper she was with him, when all he wanted was to be her equal and to try and get her to just call him by his name, without the -kun added. Even Sasuke didn't get called 'Sasuke-kun' by Sakura all the time. Even if he figured that's how she says he's special to him, how could he tell when she adds the -kun to even Kiba's name? "Why do you insist on having the -kun added every time you say my name?" He asked, resting his forehead on hers.

"C-Cause.. I've always called you that.." Hinata replied.

Naruto sighed, not liking the answer before grinning. "I will make you stop adding that to my name, Hinata. I swear it." He muttered before lightly cupping her head and kissing her lips that he always wondered if he'd be allowed to kiss in his lifetime. What he wasn't expecting, however, was Hinata clinging to his collar and held him to her. Chuckling slightly, he deepened the kiss, not caring that he was kissing someone that should've been out of his reach due to him being both a prankster and a jinchuriki, plus her being so pure, it almost burned him. Pulling back to breath a little, he panted softly. "Hinata..." He muttered, trying to regain some of his emotions.

"Naruto..." She replied, pulling him back to her mouth, not caring that she forgot to call him 'Naruto-kun'. If her cousin or even her sister saw this, she would've both been mortified and happy that she was kissing her crush in such a way that made her feel all giddy on the inside. She found herself craving him, wondering how exactly she ever survived without him. Then again, she always looked up to him and wanted to protect him.

It took a lot for him to allow them to breathe again, shocked at how sweet she tasted. "I hate feeling like I'm almost on the same scale as Kiba... I won't mind if you call me 'Naruto-kun' around others if you feel more comfortable with that, but I want you to just call me 'Naruto' when it's just us." He stated.

Hinata blinked and smiled, feeling as if her lips were swollen. "Of course.. I'll try... Naruto." She felt weird just calling him Naruto. When his name left her lips, he swooped down against for another kiss. She was the one to have to pull back to breath, her cheeks flushed and lips red. "I love you so much, Naruto."

"You have no idea how much you mean to me, Hinata. You've been so supportive of me when I was busy trying to get Sakura-chan's attention." Naruto replied. "I love you too.. You're what I strive to be, a better person."

Sakura chuckled a little at the Hyuga heiress's look when she had dragged the hyperactive blonde away before noticing Neji's look of murder on his face. "Neji... Don't even. Ever since she admitted to loving him, Hinata's been less shy around him. She never looked like this before. Naruto's giving her self-worth she wanted." She explained, crossing her arms as she listed off the reasons to not kill Naruto.

Neji huffed before grinning. "I think the clan patriarch will hate the fact that Lady Hinata 'has lowered herself below the standards needed for the true Hyuga heir.' Even Lady Hanabi is dating someone." He mentioned, nodding to agree.

Tenten raised her eyebrow. "Hyuga Neji, are you gossiping about Hanabi?" She teased, giggling.

Neji flushed and looked away as the Sakura and Tenten broke out laughing, even seeing Sasuke had a smirk on his face. "Don't even say anything, Uchiha."

"Wasn't going to say anything, Hyuga. You pretty much made it so I don't have to say anything." Sasuke stated.

Ino walked out with Misaki. "Where'd the loud mouth go?" She joked.

Sakura grinned. "Let's say Hinata will be crossing her number one thing off her list."

Ino's eyes widened and smiled. "You mean Naruto ACTUALLY might kiss her? Took him long enough, if you ask me."

Sakura looked smug. "You're one to talk, Ms. I-Had-To-Choose-Between-Two." She taunted.

Ino glared and shot back the same look. "Look at you, Forehead... I admit I had to choose between Sai-kun and Shikamaru, but at least I don't have three to choose from." She held up the number three.

Sakura flushed. "I don't have to choose between three!" She defended.

Tenten laughed and smirked. "Yes you do! There's Lee, then there's.." She sent a pointed look at Sasuke. "Well, the next one is actually Kaito..."

Misaki blinked before smiling, knowing of Kaito, after going on a mission with Sakura and Tenten before. They rested up in a village where a guy, well, kid more like it, tried his hardest to get Sakura to notice him. "That doesn't count, Tenten-chan... It's one sided there... Then again..." She paused in thought, realizing she was in the same boat as Sakura. Her feelings for Kiba were probably one-sided as well, like Sakura's feelings for Sasuke and Lee's feelings for Sakura. "Nevermind. Besides, Kaito is a child.. Literally." She smiled slightly when she saw Sasuke almost sag in relief.

Sakura grinned. "See? And Lee-san is nice and all, but he suffocated me during the three years." Sakura admitted.

Ino blinked and smiled. "That's true... Then... That means..." Before Ino could put Sasuke and Sakura's 'relationship' on the spot, Sakura clamped a hand over her mouth and dragged her aside, out of hearing range with Misaki and Tenten following, leaving the boys very confused.

"Ino-pig.. I'm not even sure Sasuke loves me like I do him. I mean, sure we're close now that he's back, but that just means he might see me as a teammate, nothing more, nothing less." Sakura pointed out, smiling sadly.

"That's like me and Neji-kun." Tenten admitted, glancing quickly at said Hyuga. "I know we have chemistry when we're teamed up. But, Neji's hard to read."

"Same with Sasuke-kun..." Sakura visibly deflated at that.

Misaki patted Sakura lightly. "It's alright, Sakura-chan... I think that all Kiba-kun sees me as is not only a comrade, but Naruto-niisan's sister. So I'm in the same boat."

Ino gulped. "Sorry, never figured you three had the problem of unrequited love. I had to deal with not only Sai-kun and Shikamaru, but even Choji started to develop feelings for me. I felt really bad, but Sai and Choji understood. Shika can always help me when I use my Mind Transfer Jutsu while using his own now."

Sasuke raised an eyebrow at Shikamaru, who shrugged. "Well, we've pretty much grown up together. But, she's been a real pain since. Always make sure to make the girl promise not to embarrass you by telling sappy stories... Which Ino's been doing a lot lately." He sighed as if he were bored.

Neji and Sasuke both chuckled before Neji spoke up. "Anything to you that doesn't involve shogi or watching clouds is boring."

"Hn. For once we see eye-to-eye on something, Hyuga." Sasuke sneered slightly.

"At least I don't grunt every sentence, Uchiha." Neji shot back, which got the results he wanted: Sasuke twitching in annoyance.

Sakura and the girls saw the exchange and broke out laughing. Before they could point it out, Misaki and Hinata both felt a chakra unknown to them and glanced around, trying to locate where it was coming from. Sakura searched as well before pointing to the sky. "Up there!" She said, pointing out a man.

"This world... Shall know pain." The man stated loud enough before holding his hands out. "Almighty Push!" After he said that, a huge explosion started out in the center of the Cloud that quickly grew bigger with each foot it grew.

Sasuke and Neji took over guarding with Susanoo and 64 Palms Rotation, respectively, Neji guarding Tenten, Kiba and Misaki and Sasuke guarding Ino, Shikamaru and Sakura. The others had found a hiding place until it calmed down. "Damn that was close." Sasuke grunted and removed the Susanoo cloak. Even with the Susanoo, the jutsu still managed to damage them. He glanced and saw the Eight-Tails had protected the rest. "Where's the damn dobe when we need him?"

"Man, he must love showing up late." Shikamaru groaned before seeing six other men. "What a drag." He stood up along with the others. "We'll have to rush him at the most..."

Neji activated his Byakugan. "Without knowing much, we have no idea what they can do."

Sasuke rolled his eyes. "That's why we find out by fighting them." With that, Sasuke took off towards them, leading Misaki and everyone else.

"It's useless." The man stated, sending the others to counter them as Sasuke and Misaki were left to fight him. "Why do you fight? Wouldn't it be much easier to surrender? To die peacefully?"

Misaki glared. "Death? You can't be serious! What are you trying to do?"

"To bring about peace. There is too much pain and loss. Everyone will know pain." The man replied, holding his hands out as the two charged towards him. "Again... Almighty Push!" The jutsu sent everyone nearest him into the ground.
