Here we are, Luna's final Duel before entering the ARC League Championship. I hope you're excited, because I know I am. Now, let's get into it!
I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V, only my character and the cards she uses. Any mention of other characters, shows and concepts are simply to help you understand the situation my character is in, nothing more, nothing less.
Chapter 10: Parallel Fusion Users
The next day we all, except for Yuya, were gathered at the You Show Duel School, listening to what Nico Smiley had to say.
"Today, Yuya's opponent will be Gong." He announced. "And you are allowed to watch, but Yuya is not allowed to know that you are there. You see, you are, from what he would know, are forbidden from attending the Duel, so he would have to Duel his friend alone. This will hopefully lead him to realise that, even though you are not there, he would still have your support."
"If we are forbidden to cheer Yuya on," I said, getting up from where I was sitting, "then I would like to have my final Duel today. That way, I would have an excuse not to be there to support him. Is that fine by you Mr. Smiley?"
"Of course!" The black and yellow suited man said. "Though it will be scheduled for later today, due to the fact your opponent is still recovering from minor injuries from yesterday. I hope you don't mind."
"Not at all. This way I would have plenty of time to get myself ready for the Duel."
I then headed for the Action Field.
"If anyone needs me, I'll be meditating on the Action Field."
As the hours passed, I did as I said, meditating on the Action Field I selected, being Sogen. I sat there, mulling over the events that have passed and the questions that I have yet to answer, until an alarm went off on my Duel Disk. I then deactivated the Field and started heading to the Leo Institute of Dueling. When I arrived, I went to the reception desk and notified the clerk on duty that I was here to face my sixth opponent. I then headed to the center court and saw that Julia was already on the field, waiting for me.
"What took you so long?" She asked.
"Time is relative," I responded, "I have arrived exactly where I am needed to be at the moment I needed to be here. Now, let us begin our Duel."
"Ha," Julia said, "like you have the skills to beat me. I'll take you down as easily as I took down your friend."
"We'll just see about that." I smiled. "I choose the Action Field Crystal Corridor."
The field suddenly lit up as the familiar hallway made of shining crystal formed around us. We both activated our Duel Disks as the Action Cards dispersed across the field.
"LET'S DUEL!"
Luna – 4000
Julia – 4000
…
"Mr. President." Said Claud. "Luna has just arrived and is about to Duel Julia as we speak."
"Good." Said Declan. "Prepare the scanners to record the Duel, I would like to witness Luna's power myself."
…
"I shall start the Duel." I announced. "I set one Monster Face-Down and one card Face-Down. I end my turn."
At that I started running for an Action Card.
"Is that all you can do?" Said Julia. "Well let me show you how a real Duelist Duels! I Draw! I shall start off by activating the Spell Card, Absorb Fusion! This card allows me to add one Gem-Knight from my Deck to my hand, then I can Fusion Summon by banishing Monsters from my hand or field! I add to my hand Gem-Knight Lazuli! Now I fuse together my Gem-Knights Sapphire and two Gem-Knight Iolites!
The three Monsters appeared on the field and became three streams of energy as they swirled together.
"I Fusion Summon Gem-Knight Master Diamond!"
The great Knight with every gem imbedded into his sword appeared on Julia's field, ready for battle.
Gem-Knight Master Diamond

Attack – 2900 – Defence – 2500
Summoning Type – Fusion
"This is really, really bad!" I thought to myself.
"Now I activate the Spell Card, Polymerization. I now fuse together my Gem-Knight Lapis with my Gem-Knight Lazuli! I Fusion Summon! Gem-Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli!"
A serene looking woman wearing a full body dress-like armour appeared on Julia's field.
Gem-Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli
Level – 5 – Attribute – Earth
Type – Rock
ATK – 2400 – DEF – 1000
Summoning Type – Fusion
"I activate Lady Lapis Lazuli's special ability!" Julia announced. "I send Gem-Knight Topaz to the Graveyard, then you take 500 points of damage for every Special Summoned Monster on the field!"
I winced as I lost a quarter of my Life Points
Luna – 4000 3000
"Now I activate Gem-Knight Master Diamond's ability! By banishing a Gem-Knight from my Graveyard, Master Diamond gains that Monster's abilities! I banish Gem-Knight Topaz! next I activate Gem-Knight Lazuli's ability from the Graveyard, returning Gem-Knight Lapis to my hand. I now summon Gem-Knight Lapis!"
A young Gem-Knight now appeared on the field.
Gem-Knight Lapis
Level – 3 – Attribute – Earth
Type – Rock
ATK – 1200 – DEF – 100
"Gem-Knight Master Diamond, attack Luna's Monster!"
I watched as my Monster was destroyed, but this time with a slight smile.
"I activate my Reeshaddoll Wendi's special ability!" I announced, surprising her. "When she is flipped Face-Up, I can Special Summon a Shaddoll Monster from my Extra Deck in Face-Up or Face-Down Defence Position! The Monster I choose is another Wendi!"
"When Master Diamond destroys a Monster in battle, you take it's Attack Points as damage!"
Luna – 3000 1500
"I activate the Trap, Resh Shaddoll Incarnation!" I said, activating my Face-Down. "I can now re-summon a Shaddoll Monster in my Graveyard! I bring back my Reeshaddoll Wendi!"
"It doesn't matter!" Said Julia. "The moment Master Diamond destroys your Monster, you will lose!"
I searched around me and spotted an Action Card. I picked it up and smiled.
"Master Diamond, destroy her Monster!"
The great Knight leapt at my Monster and swung his sword. A massive cloud of smoke filled the air as everyone waited to see what happened.
"It seems your shine is just as dull as Zuzu's." Mocked Julia.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you."
I snapped my fingers and the smoke dissipated, revealing both of my Monsters were still on the field as I stood on a platform above them.
Luna – 1500
"What happened!? How are your Life Points still the same?" Asked Julia, shocked.
"It's simple really." I said with my smile still on my face. "Before your attack hit, I activated the Action Spell Big Escape. This allowed me to evade your attack by ending the Battle Phase."
"I end my turn." Said Julia, frustrated that I survived.
"All right!" I said happily. "My turn, I draw!"
I then dashed for the nearest Action Card and picked it up.
"I activate the Action Card, Split Diamond. This allows me to draw two more cards!"
"Perfect." I thought as I saw the cards. "Ladies and Gentlemen!" I announced, putting on a performance for the people watching, which I believe included my friends from You Show. "I am now going to show you a magic trick you definitely won't forget! First I will flip my two Reeshaddoll Wendi's Face-Up! Now both of their abilities activate, bringing out my Shaddoll Beast and my Shaddoll Squamata!"

"Next I activate the power of a Spell that will fill you with wonder and amazement! I activate the Spell, Shaddoll Fusion!"
"Fusion!?" Said Julia, shocked that I could have such a card.
"And here's the best bit." I said. "When you have an Extra Deck Monster on your field, I can use the Monsters in my Deck as the Fusion Materials! I fuse my Shaddoll Beast and my Qadshaddoll Keios together!"
The two Monsters briefly appeared on the field and burst into sparks and swirled together in a galaxy-like pattern on the ground in front of me as I chanted.
"Bestial construct of darkness, become one with the demonic construct of light to create a new blinding light! I Fusion Summon! Awaken, the supreme construct of all, El Shaddoll Construct!"
Shaddoll Construct

Type – Fairy
ATK – 2800 – DEF – 2500
Summoning Type – Fusion
The god-like mechanical puppet appeared on my field, towering over Julia's Monsters. The girl herself was quite shocked, and I believe quite scared.
"And if you think you're the only one who can Fusion Summon twice on their turn, you are wrong." I announced, shocking her even more. "I send one card in my hand to the Graveyard in order to activate the Spell, Super Polymerization!"
"Super Polymerization?!" asked Julia, shocked and confused that I have a card that she didn't know about.
"When this card is activated, I can Fusion Summon using Monsters on both of our fields as the Fusion Materials!"
"On both our fields? How can a fusion card be that powerful!"
"I fuse my Shaddoll Wendi with your Gem-Knight Master Diamond! Joyful construct of air, become one with the gem of strength and unleash a new terror! I Fusion Summon! Awaken, El Shaddoll Shekhinaga!"
A new Monster appeared on my field; this time resembling Construct fused with Apoqliphort Towers.

"Impossible." Said Julia as she stared at my new Monster.
"El Shaddoll Construct attacks your Gem-Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli!" I announced. "When Construct battles a Special Summoned Monster, it automatically destroys it!"
The Knight burst into sparks as Julia started running.
"Reeshaddoll Wendi, attack Gem-Knight Lapis!"
Lapis burst into sparks as Julia took damage.
Julia – 4000 3700
"Shekhinaga, attack Julia directly!"
Julia was flung forward as the attack hit her
Julia – 3700 1100
"I end my turn with a Face-Down. Your move Julia."
"I draw!" Said Julia, retrieving her card. "I activate the Spell, Fusion Recovery! This adds Polymerisation and a card that I used as a Fusion Material back to my hand. I choose Gem-Knight Lapis! Now I summon her back to my field!"
The Monster reappeared on her field.
"I attack your Shaddoll Squamata and end my turn."
I made no move to retrieve an Action Card to stop her since I didn't need to.
"My turn." I announced. "I draw! I activate the Spell Nephe Shaddoll Fusion! Now I can equip it to one of my Shaddoll Monsters and it gains a different attribute. I choose Reeshaddoll Wendi, and make her a Fire Attribute Monster"

"Now I fuse Wendi and Shaddoll Beast! Bestial construct of darkness, become one with the joyful construct of fire and unleash a new terror! I Fusion Summon! Awaken, El Shaddoll Grysta!"
A Gem-Knight appeared on my field, but it was unlike any version that Julia summoned. It wore fiery armour with gems set into it as a fire blazed out from the inside. Behind it, multiple fiery strings appeared, indicating that it was in fact a Shaddoll Monster
El Shaddoll Grysta
Level – 7 – Attribute – Fire
Type – Rock
ATK – 2450 – DEF – 1950
Summoning Type – Fusion
"A Gem-Knight!?" Julia said in disbelief.
"Battle. Construct, destroy Gem-Knight Lapis"
"I activate Evasion to stop your attack!" Announced Julia.
"Shekhinaga, take down that Lapis!"
"I activate Encore to use the effect of Evasion again!"
"We've reached the grand finale," I announced to the crowd, "El Shaddoll Grysta, let's give Gem-Knight Lapis a blazing send-off with Infernal String Slash!"
Unable to find another Action Card, Julia was forced to watch as Grysta destroyed Lapis, decreasing her Life Points to zero.
Julia – 1100 0
"That's game!" I announced as the field dissipated. Julia got up and walked towards me.
"Congratulations." She said. "You won the Duel, so I admit you are strong. But the next time we face each other, I'll win for sure."
"Any place, any time." I said, smiling.
As I left the arena, Yuya, Zuzu, Sora, Gong and the kids gathered around me.
"Wow Luna," said Yuya, "I didn't know you could Fusion Summon."
"Of course I can," I said, "how else was I able to beat Sora in our Duel, or the previous five opponents I beat."
"Why didn't you tell us?" Asked Zuzu.
"Well," I began, "I didn't want to tip my hand too far, did I? After all, we'll be facing each other in the Championship, and I don't want you to know all my moves yet."
"Well, now your congratulations are all over," said Sora, "let's celebrate the fact we've all made it into the Arc League! Come on, I ordered a cake!"
I smiled as we walked out of the building. "Really? What flavour?"
"I'm not telling you; you'll have to find out for yourself."
…
"Sir," said Claud, "we have measured the energy output for Luna's Fusion Summons. They match with the other data we've detected from her Duel School."
"Good." Responded Declan. "We need as much information as possible if we are to fully trust Luna."
Finally, Luna is in the Championship! I liked making this because I had the Duel between Luna and Julia planned from the start. Originally, I was planning to have her verse an OC Duelist, but I realised how long it would take to construct an entirely new Deck from scratch, only to use it once, and not even in a tornament match. So I chose for Luna to go against Julia instead, because, well, it's kind of fitting. Julia beat Zuzu, tormented her during their Duel, so I found it kind of fitting that someone with Zuzu's face would defeat Julia in a non offical match. Also, with the Fusion summons, I originally planned to use the Legendary Dragons of Atlantis Deck, but I found that there would have been too many ways for Luna to just nuke the Gem-Knight Duelist. So I decided to use the Shaddolls instead because of their connection to the Gem-Knights. I hope to see you again soon! BackfireDuelist4 signing off!
