Welcome back, one and all to my story. This paticular one has Luna being mostly an observer for the time being. I hope you enjoy it either way.

I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V, only my character and the cards she uses. Any mention of other characters, shows and concepts are simply to help you understand the situation my character is in, nothing more, nothing less.

Chapter 13: Secrets Are Revealed

The Duel between Shay and Sora went the same way as it did in the show. In other words, Sora went psycho and Shay bombed Neo Heartland City. This ended up with Shay winning the Duel and a building collapsing on top of Sora, giving him a one way ticket out of the Championship and to the hospital. Now we were waiting outside his room, most of us worried about him.

"Poor Sora." Zuzu said.

"He's gonna be okay." Comforted Skip. "If you're going to need fixing, this is the place you want to be."

"I know-" Allie responded. "It was so scary. After all, it's not every day someone gets injured in a Duel for real"

"And it's all Shay's fault." Yuya said to himself.

…

"Yoko and I ought to get the younger kids home." Skip said as we stood outside the LID building. "We'll catch up with you later."

Yuya, Zuzu, Gong and I stood outside as the others left.

"So what's your take?" Yuya asked. He didn't say what he meant at first, but I knew what he was talking about. "On Shay taking down the Leo Institute and then Dueling for them?" The Dueltainer elaborated to a confused Zuzu. "It's like he did a total 180 and nobody batted an eye. So weird."

"I know." Zuzu agreed. "I wish I knew what was going on. First, Julia hunts Shay down to take him out, and then, she's cool with him. Those two being teammates doesn't add up at all."

"That's crazy." Gong responded. "And Gong don't like crazy."

"Yeah, and that's not even the half of it." Zuzu told us. "Shay's friend Yuto told me something even crazier." She then repeated what Yuto told her.

"How does attacking a Duel school have anything to do with getting a friend back?" Yuya asked her.

"I don't know," Zuzu responded, "but he was dead serious."

"This is like a giant jigsaw puzzle, but we're missin' pieces!" Gong said, upset. "And Gong don't like missing pieces. When Gong gets stuck, Gong likes to take a step back. So what are the facts."

"For one, this Yuto guy looks like me." Yuya told them. "And whenever I show up, your bracelet glows and he vanishes."

"Say what?" Gong asked, confused.

"It's true-" Zuzu said, looking at her bracelet. "For whatever reason, whenever this thing turns on, he always takes off. And Yuya's right. He and Yuto have a resemblance that's absolutely uncanny!"

"So Yuya's got a twin look-alike that can do magic tricks?" Gong asked, and I'll admit, I had to hold back a snort, because Yuto isn't the type who'd be a magician. That's Yuya's job.

"What else is there?" Yuya asked, trying to rack his brain for information. "What else do we know that can fill in the missing pieces?"

"Well, maybe it's nothing, but Yuto did say something else to me." Zuzu told him.

"Nothing could be something!" Gong told her. "So go on and tell us what he said."

Zuzu then told him what Yuto said to her.

"Yuto said Fusion's the way of their enemy?" Gong asked in disbelief.

"That's right."

"Then that must be why Shay went bonkers in his Duel against Sora." Yuya said to them. "I bet he's thinking Sora's the enemy because he uses Fusion cards."

"You don't think Sora's a bad guy, do ya?" Gong asked his friend.

"Well, in that Duel with Shay, we saw a side of our friend we've never seen before."

"So if Sora is mixed up in all this," Gong said, "then he must have some kind of connection to Shay and Yuto that we don't know about."

Yuya started as he remembered what Sora said in his Duel.

"There's definitely some history between those two." He said. "But Zuzu, if you know anything else, anything, now's the time."

The girl thought to herself for a moment, then told the three the rest of Yuto's conversation with her.

"So let Gong get this straight." He said as Zuzu finished retelling the story. "Shay's sister is one of the friends they're trying to save?"

"That's what Yuto told me."

"Then that means they must think Sora knows where she is." Yuya concluded. "That certainly explains why they targeted him. And if it's true, they won't let up until she's safe."

"Well," I said, "if you'd like, I might know something that might give us a couple more pieces to our puzzle."

"Really?" Yuya asked me. "What is it?"

"It's from my Duel with Shay." I told them. "When we began, he called me a Fusionite."

"He insulted you?!" Gong said in disbelief.

"It wasn't an insult." I told him. "He said it like I was an enemy, like Sora. And when I Xyz Summoned, it seemed to really ticked him off. His words, and I quote, were 'How dare you use the Summoning method my people used after you destroyed my home!'. The way he acted was like I had insulted his people by using Xyz when I can use Fusion. He treated me like an enemy who stole the method his people used, and by using it, I was mocking him."

"That sounds awful." Zuzu said.

"Yeah, it does." I told her. "I would have pitied him, if not for the fact he tried to annihilate me with his Rise Falcon."

Suddenly, we heard voices coming from inside the building. The voices belonged to the guards, and it sounded like they were searching for someone.

"Wonder what's going on?" Gong asked.

"He must have made his way outside, sir!" One of the guards said.

"Let's split up and check the grounds." Another suggested. "I'll contact headquarters and request back-up."

…

"My dad said he'd be here soon." Zuzu said, hanging up her Duel Disk.

"Sora's still hurt." Gong said. "We gotta find him quick. Probably best for us to split up. Gong will head to the docks."

"I'll check the east side of town!" Yuya told us.

"I'll check out the west!" Zuzu said.

"And I'll check the park." I told them. "Sora wouldn't leave his bed unless he was taken or he was chasing someone. This park is isolated and there won't be many people in there, it would be a good place for him to confront someone without being discovered. With luck, Declan will have his security cameras sweeping the city looking for Sora. Either way, we will find him. It's only a matter of time."

We split up, with me heading to the park, arriving to see Sora and Yuto beginning their Duel. I hid and watched, waiting for anything that would have to get me involved. Eventually, Yuya arrived and Yuto summoned his Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon. He then used it's ability and destroyed Frightfur Bear, knocking Sora to the ground. Yuya tried to convince him to stop, but Sora wouldn't listen to him. Yuto offered a way out of the Duel for Sora, who refused, and warned Yuya not to interfere. Yuya then chose to ignore the warning and joined the Duel.

Yuya drew his card, then set the Pendulum Scale with Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician, then Pendulum Summoned Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. When the Monster appeared on Yuya's field, a sharp spike of pain went through my chest as the two Dragons called out to each other. I took slow, calm breaths and the pain grew less. I watched as Yuya ordered Odd-Eyes to attack Dark Rebellion, and they fought each other viciously, neither one backing down. Yuto activated his Trap, Phantom Fog Blade, stopping Odd-Eyes' attack. In response, Yuya activated Timegazer's Pendulum Ability, reversing time so Fog Blade never activated. Yuto then activated Booby Trap E, and used it to mimic Fog Blade's effect, so it was like it was never negated in the first place.

I watched as Sora admitted to being from Duel Academy, before trying to summon one of his powerful Monsters, only to activate the auto-return function on his Duel Disk, teleporting him away. The remaining two Duelists then surrendered and Yuto started explaining what happened in his Dimension. I only listened, even to what Yuya said about how Dueling was for fun, and was the ultimate form of entertainment. Suddenly, a bright green flash appeared, with a man on a motorcycle appearing when the glow faded. I looked at the bike and recognised it as a Duel Runner, and the boy on it took off his helmet, revealing himself as Yugo.

Upon seeing each other, Yuto and Yugo immediately began Dueling each other, With Yugo striking first by Synchro Summoning Hi-Speedroid Kendama. Yuto then struck back by Xyz Summoning his Phantom Knights of Break Sword. Yugo then used Speed Recovery to bring back his Kendama, then directed it to attack Break Sword. To counter it, Yuto used his Trap, Phantom Sword, to give Break Sword 800 Attack Points. In response, Yugo activated a Trap of his own, Speed turn, which switched Break Sword to Defence Mode and it lost 500 Defence Points. Phantom Sword protected it's user, but Yuto still took damage, launching him across the field.

Yuya ran to help Yuto, who ordered him to stay where he was, then switched Break Sword to Attack Mode. Yuto then summoned The Phantom Knights of Ancient Cloak and activated it's ability, switching it to Defence Mode and giving Break Sword 800 Attack Points. Yuto then attacked Kendama, and Luna noticed that Yugo reached for the screen of his Duel Runner, then hesitated. Break Sword then destroyed Kendama and Yuto ended his turn.

Yugo then started his turn by summoning his Speedroid Double Yoyo, then revived his Tuner Monster, Speedroid Tri-Eyed Dice. Yugo then Tuned his Dice with his Yoyo and brought out his ace Monster, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. He then ordered his Dragon to attack Break Sword, destroying it. Yuto then activated his Break Sword's ability, reviving the two Overlay Units and making them Level 4. Yugo then used the Spell Shock Surprise, banishing Double Yoyo from his Graveyard and destroying Yuto's Ancient Cloak. Yugo then ended his turn, allowing Yuto to Xyz Summon his Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon to the field.

Like the Duel between Yuto and Yuya, I felt a sharp pain strike by body, but this time, I could just barely hear a voice whispering at the very edge of my hearing. I looked at the two Duelists, just in time to see them open their eyes, with Yuto and Yugo's eyes glowing blue and green respectively.

"You wanted to settle things." Yuto said, his voice not only echoing around the field, but my head as well. "My Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon will do just that. First, it'll destroy you. Then, it'll destroy everything! I activate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's Special Ability! By using one Overlay Unit, the Attack Points of your Dragon are cut in half! And then, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon gains those Attack Points."

Dark Rebellion's wings opened up and shot purple lightning at Clear Wing, ensnaring it.

"That's only if I let that happen!" Yugo responded, his voice sounding similar to Yuto's. "My Synchro Dragon also has a Special Ability! It puts the brakes on you plan and it destroys your Dragon as well! Reverse Revenge!"

Clear Wing broke free from his bindings and unleashed his power.

"I activate the Trap Phantom Wing!" Yuto quickly responded. "It saves my Dragon and gives it an extra 500 Attack Points!"

The blast which would have hit Dark Rebellion was immediately stopped in its tracks, then the Xyz Dragon gained 500 Points.

"I'll finish you," Yuto vowed, "then destroy everything!"

"I will spare nothing!" Yugo continued. "All will rot and crumble!"

"Destruction!" They both said at once. "Mass destruction!"

"Battle time!" Yuto declared. "Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, annihilate Clear Wing Synchro Dragon-"

"Stop it!" Yuya shouted, getting in front of the Xyzian. "It's like you forgot what Dueling is all about! You're not supposed to hurt each other! It's not supposed to be a war! Don't you get it? A Duel makes people smile. It's supposed to make them happy. Know how? Because it entertains them and that's why they feel good! You told me your people Duel for the simple joy of it all! That fighting isn't in your nature. Don't you remember that?"

The pain Luna fell lessened as she felt Yuto snap out of his thirst for destruction.

"I don't know what I've been thinking." He said, realising what he was doing. "This isn't me! I don't want to hurt people! I end my turn."

"And I'll end this Duel and you!" Yugo declared, still very much possessed. "I summon Speedroid Razorang to finish you once and for all!"

"What're you doing?!" Yuya protested. "This has to stop!"

"No, it doesn't!" Yugo told him. "I activate Razorang's Special Ability. By switching it to Defence Mode, one Monster on the field loses 300 Attack Points."

"C'mon, you gotta stop fighting!" Yuya pleaded. "Hurting Yuto's Dragon isn't going to change anything!"

"Fine, then." Yugo said. "I use it to lower Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's Attack Points!"

"Really?" Yuya asked, surprised that Yugo did that.

"Yes. And that triggers Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's Special Ability, destroying my Razorang. Reverse Revenge!"

Clear Wing blasted Razorang, destroying it.

"So, then, you'll stop fighting?" Yuya asked hopefully.

"Not a chance!" Yugo told him. "You see, my Dragon gains Points- my Razorang's Attack Points."

"No, please stop!"

"Clear Wing! Attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Spin Storm Sky Strike!"

The two Dragons charged, meeting each other head-on, then Clear Wing destroyed Dark Rebellion and continued charging, aiming at Yuya. Yuto then shoved his counterpart out of the way just as the attack hit, destroying his Life Points and losing the Duel. He was flung back, landing painfully on the ground.

"Yuto!" Yuya cried, running to him. "Hey, Yuto, are you okay?"

There was a bright light as I saw Dark Rebellion start glowing resonating with Odd-Eyes. The glow faded from Yugo's eyes and he looked up, confused. A bright dome of light surrounded Yuya and Yuto and I heard the voice become louder, if only slightly.

"W. ..s. b…..e o.."

My bracelet then let out a bright red glow and then faded, along with the pain and the voice.

"Yuya? Yuto?" I heard a voice yell. I looked around and saw Zuzu, who had just arrived, and Yuya, kneeling on the ground, alone, staring up at the heavens. "Yuya!" Zuzu cried, seeing him. The Dueltainer's eyes then closed as he lost consciousness and fell to the ground. Zuzu ran to him and I came out of hiding and walked to them.

"He's out cold." I told her as she tried to wake him up. "You need to get him home."

"But what about Yuto." The pink-haired girl asked. "My bracelet glowed, that means he was here. What happened to him."

"I don't know." I told her. "But the sooner we get Yuya out of here, the better."

I then spotted Yuto's Duel Disk. I leaned down and looked at it, then removed the cards from inside of it.

"Let's go." I told Zuzu, helping her pick the boy up. We then left, but I couldn't help wondering what that voice was, or what it was trying to say.

Duel Academy: The Fusion Dimension.

A man was sorting through images and audio files that belonged to one of his students, Sora Perse, who activated the auto-return function on his Duel Disk. As he sorted through them, he came across the image of a pink-haired girl.

"The final piece." He thought to himself. "At last, my task is almost-"

He froze, his eyes resting on the image of a 14-year-old girl with maroon-red hair and blue eyes, wearing dark clothing.

"Impossible. It couldn't be! It can't be her. No, it isn't. Her eyes are the wrong colour. Who is this girl? And where did she come from?"

Originally, I wanted Luna to joing the Duel between Yuto, Yuya and Sora as Yuto's tag partner and summon Midnight Hope. But I decided against it. Instead, Luna has now gained possession of Yuto's Phantom Knights Deck. What she will do with it. I guess we'll find out. At the moment, I am working on chapter 14, so you might have to wait a while.
