Hey ya'll! I adopted this fic from a good pal, RamenLoverNaruto. They told me they killed the fic, and I stepped in. Vola~ My new fic. I skip the events of the War because it is currently unknown who wins, thus rather than drag this story out until then, I decided to: first, write about it on my deviantArt account, and secondly, skip it entirely.

Chapter Twenty One: The Wedding!

Hinata remembered what Naruto had said to ask her to marry him, she flushed a little, which made Misaki grin. "You're blushing again, Hinata!" She stated and saw the boys walking outside the restaurant they were at, lingering on Kiba before she giggled softly and got Ino's attention.

"Oh? I take it Kiba finally came out of that blasted shell?" Ino asked, smirking.

"Mhm.. To be honest, I expected it, since I understand why he was the way he was." Misaki explained as they paid for their food and joined up with the boys. "Lady Mei told me I needed to get out of the village, anyhow... She's closer to naming me her heir.." She frowned a little. "I'm still a long way from becoming close enough to being the Mizukage."

Sakura huffed. "Misa... Relax. You'll be a great Mizukage! I mean, look at Naruto! He still has a long way to go before he's Hokage."

"Hey! Thanks a lot, Sakura-chan." Naruto pouted and threw his hands behind his head, making Misaki laugh.

"I'm in the same boat, Sakura..." She said, looking around. "It's been so long since I was here... It's different, yet.. Not." She took a deep breath before seeing their teachers ahead. "Kakashi-sensei!" She called.

"Oh, good afternoon, Misaki. I heard it's getting closer for Mei to be naming her heir. You're probably excited, yet not." He said.

"You still know me too well, sensei."

"Hn. Anyone knows that about ya." Came Sasuke's voice as he appeared besides Kakashi. "Thought I heard commotion about Misaki. Guess that's true."

"Sasuke-san!" Misaki blinked and grinned. "Glad to see you haven't changed a bit. Here for a quick visit?" She knew, from Sakura's letters, that Sasuke was travelling to redeem his family name and had to find out information on Kaguya.

"Yeah. I figured I'd come back for this, otherwise the dobe would probably hunt me down again." He commented, resting his right hand on his hip.

Misaki puffed her cheeks out as she noticed that, unlike her brother, Sasuke was still missing his left arm. "Alright, Uchiha... I will force you to getting that damn arm. Even if I have to use one of my techniques Lady Mei taught me."

"Keh. I don't need it." He said before seeing Misaki's aura change to one of anger; something she gained from knowing Sakura for so long.

"Sasuke Uchiha. I swear to god, I WILL give you an arm." She sighed and stormed over to the missing limb side and held her hands out. "Stay still or I'll break your other arm." She threatened as she summoned her chakra into a glowing green ball and made it grow to where it rested on his entire left side. "Lady Mei taught me a better way to use medical ninjutsu... Almost done.." She informed right as she finished up. "There. Now you can actually fight again." Sasuke grumbled and hid his arms again under the poncho he wore, making her smile. She knew that he meant 'thank you' by that grumble.

"Great! Now I can fight against teme on even grounds!" Naruto said, grinning.

"I don't think so..." Kakashi sighed. "That's the last thing we need: you two fighting and destroying the village again.." He stated.

That got the group to grin at the look on Naruto's face. Misaki felt content at the fact that, after the wedding, she'd have a bigger family here in Konoha than in Kirigakure. She would always love the village that gave her a home and family, both adopted and blood. The day Naruto becomes Hokage, though, she would be even more sentimental. Despite what people thought of him, Naruto was a great brother-figure for her. If it weren't for him, she'd never know Sage mode to help with her kekkai genkai.

"Looks like twat's thinking again." Sai said with a smile before Misaki punched him hard in the gut to send him flying through the streets, colliding with a tree finally.

"The next time he calls me that... I'm using my Jibakugan..." She said, fuming before smiling.

Even Sakura looked a little scared. "You trained harder, didn't you?" She asked.

"Well, yeah. Lady Mei had to be sure I was in good shape in case she handed the title down. According to her, it may be soon. OH! She said to give you her congratulations and her blessing. Well... That was before she got really depressed." She giggled.

"Well, it is known that she still hasn't married." Lee commented. "She might be the only Kage to not have a love interest. I believe the Mizukage title might be cursed to whomever takes it. Every Mizukage has been single as far as history recalls." He saw Misaki deflated. "Maybe you shall break that curse, Misaki!"

Misaki frowned slightly. "Or be another victim. Either way, that's very far from my mind." She said before smirking. "I wanna know what else is going on here, besides the obvious!"

Sakura grinned. "Well, Lady Tsunade is trying to get the Fire Damyo to see that me, Naruto and Sasuke are on par with their Sannin-level knowledge."

"Wow... So that would make the Leaf famous for six Sannins instead of three. That's going to be very interesting to start claiming... After he agrees."

"That old guy hasn't seen these three fight, so, of course he'll be stubborn about it." Kiba said, smirking a little.

Hinata nodded. "Eventually he'll come around."

Misaki rolled her eyes. "The Water Daimyƍ is reluctant to let Lady Mei put me as the Mizukage due to my 'unique' kekkai genkai." She rubbed her forehead. "She's trying to get him to realize I've fully mastered it and am no more a threat that Chojiro-kun."

Sakura smirked. "Oh? Chojiro-kun? Last thing I remember, you only called him Chojiro... You are explaining when we bathe!"

"W-Wait... What?!" Misaki stuttered as she was pushed by Sakura to the bathhouse, to the confused looks of the boys. She was soon face-to-face with curious faces as she soaked in the spring.

"So, it's 'kun' with Chojiro?" Ino teased.

"Accident. I swear. He's a great guy, but... To be honest, he's no Kiba."

Hinata giggled lightly. "Kiba left that impression, didn't he?"

"Yeah..." She flushed and smiled. "I'm happy now that Kiba opened up to me now~"

"We can tell." Tenten commented. "Neji's even noticed with Kiba. He's more... mellow?"

"Relaxed was my thought." Sakura sighed. "I wonder if Sasuke-kun will be staying for the wedding..."

Misaki shrugged. "Probably not... He is looking into Kaguya, remember? That'll be awhile." She remembered that the Uchiha, along with that, was also traveling to learn what it means to be a ninja. He had told her to keep it a secret from Sakura and Naruto and she gave her word, knowing he was still hating himself for going so deep into his 'revenge' that he could have killed not only Sakura, but his best friend without remorse. She and Sasuke were closer now that he had opened up to her and he admitted to her he did return Sakura's feelings, but he wants to be able to feel like he is clear of darkness before he confesses.

"That's true. Hey, at least he dropped by to see Misaki." Ino chuckled.

"Even if it was to get yelled at. You and Sasuke have gotten closer." Tenten stated.

"He's still the same old Sasuke... Annoying, cocky and too proud. Stupid Uchiha..." Misaki chuckled before smirking. "Then again, that's why Sakura-chan looooooves him so much~"

This time it was the pinkette's turn to blush. "N-Not just that! He has faults, too!" Sakura defended, to giggles as they got out and dressed. "Besides, let's focus on Hinata. It's her big day soon."

Ino smirked. "Let me fix that hair of yours so he will be speechless for the first time in his life."

Tenten laughed. "Naruto? Speechless? I'd pay to see that."

Misaki nodded as she waved goodbye to them for the day, heading to spend the night with her brother, since he 'offered' to let her stay. "Hmm. Let's see if he's kept it tidy..." She mumbled to herself as she opened the door to reveal a rather clean-looking house and Naruto running around. "Well, this is a surprise. You're cleaning."

"Well, I kinda had to, ya know. I knew you'd get mad if it were messy." He said. "Glad to know ya like it, Misaki!"

"Relax now. Any cleaner and you might have a bigger house." She pointed out with a grin as she sat down, him plopping right beside her. "So, ready to get married already?"

"Well... Yeah. I mean... I just wanted Hinata-hime to stay a permanent thing in my life after I finally saw how much faith she had in me from the beginning, even while I ignored her half the time to go after Sakura-chan..." He chuckled. "Kinda blind for a moment, but I realized, I always felt the same for her."

Misaki smiled. "That's why you kissed her when you nearly destroyed the moon?" She teased.

"Y-You saw that!?" He turned bright red.

"Everyone did and they all said 'Finally'." She replied.

"Maaaan." He pouted before smiling. "I'm just glad I got ya to be here for it, sis! I might ask Iruka-sensei to kinda stand in for my dad, since he's always been there for me."

"Really? I'm sure he'll accept. With him, you have a family still. Also..." She leaned against him. "I know that your real parents and Pervy Sage will be watching from above."

Naruto grinned. "Thanks! I have a feeling they will be too." He then let her have his room and chose to sleep on the couch, since she was the visitor.

Misaki looked around the room he and her had shared before she moved to Kiragakure. The things were slightly organized, but the three things that stood out were the pictures of old Team Kakashi, a few months before she had arrived, with a younger Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto with Kakashi. She picked it up and smiled before moving to the next one, the one of Yamato's team, where it was her, Sakura and Naruto, all grinning like idiots while Yamato and Sai looked overwhelmed. The last one made her pause a little before grinning. It was her and Naruto before she moved away. They had just finished eating and she had managed to beat him, but he was still proud of her. "Big brother..." She said wistfully as she climbed into bed and fell asleep.

Misaki was bouncing between where Naruto was getting ready and where Hinata was getting ready. Her mind was spinning with everything as she had to keep both assured that the other wasn't getting cold feet. She laughed a little as she was able to finally focus more so on Naruto, seeing the black kimono all messy as she went over to fix it. "Relax, big brother." She patted him down before beaming a smile. "You look amazing! Hinata'll be so stunned!"

"I-I guess. Man I hope I don't mess anything up, ya know? I don't wanna make her regret this." He freaked out.

She shook her head and bopped him softly on the head, like he did a few times to calm her down. "She won't. This is Hinata we're talking about... She won't regret anything. It's not in her, remember?"

"You're right." He sighed and relaxed. "Guess we better get goin, huh?"

"You do got to get married. Oh, Sasuke-san said 'way to go, dobe.' with a grin before he left." She said.

"That teme! Oh, well. Guess he's really looking into something, huh?"

"According to him, it's big." Misaki commented before smiling at how flustered Sasuke had been when he left. She had stopped him and he just opened up to her about how much pressure was on him not to show how much he actually cared for Sakura and asked that she keep their conversation between them until he told her to.

"What's with the grin? Did Sasuke say anything to ya? Huh?" He asked.

"Oh, it's nothing. Just focus on Hinata or I'll start thinking you secretly love Sasuke-san." She teased as they arrived and she left his side so he and Hinata could walk together as she went to be beside Shino, Akamaru and Kiba, with Kurenai-sensei and Mirai, her daughter.

"Misamaru!" She said, smiling.

Misaki giggled softly and gave the little girl a hug. Ever since she could speak, Mirai always mixed up the names of Team Eight, calling Kiba 'Kibamaru', Akamaru 'Akakiba', her either 'Misamaru' or 'Misakiba'. Even Shino had -maru added to his name with the occasional Uncle Buggy, to his 'amusement'. "Hi, Mirai. You ready for a wedding?"

"Hinamaru marry Narumaru!" She said, smiling.

"Yes, let's go with that." Misaki chuckled lightly as she smiled at Kiba and petted Akamaru. "He was sooo nervous."

"Man, I'd pay to see that." Kiba said before grinning. "Here, Kurenai-sensei... Just what you wanted." He handed her a box, to her confusion.

"Kiba, did you..."

"Me and Shino got an extra for ya when we got one for Hinata and Naruto!" He said before they watched their teammates get married, all smiling the entire time as it hit them this love had been waiting since before the academy to be finally realized and was now shown to all.

Naruto couldn't look away from Hinata, nor she him, as they said their vows, stating that they would be together for as long as time kept moving. The love she always held for him shone in her eyes and the love he had just acknowledged lit his eyes up for her. His new ninja way was to keep Hinata happy for the rest of their lives and never go back to ignoring her, making up for what he did as a genin. To him, the kiss that sealed their words was ten times as magical as the one he gave her when they saved the world.

Misaki was proud to have a new sister via Naruto as she was the first to congratulate them, smiling. "Welcome to the family, big sister." She said, hugging her sister-in-law. "Or should I say, Hinata-nii-chan?"

That got her to flush and smile. "Either works." She said as Naruto ruffled Misaki's hair.

"Glad you were here for it, Misaki."

"Me too." She nodded as she let the others she called friends congratulate them, her heart light and happy for him as she knew this was where, no.. His loneliness ended the moment he met Hinata and she knew that now, seeing the two together and she couldn't help by have happy tears in her eyes, which had Naruto and Ino come over.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Naruto asked, putting a hand on her shoulder, Ino mirroring him on the other one.

"You know you can always talk to us two, right?"

"I'm just so happy. Years ago, I gave up on finding my place, but now, I found it here." Misaki giggled waterly as she hugged her brother and cousin, to them blinking before returning the hug. She watched as Naruto returned to his new wife's side, to keep accepting gifts, thanks and congratulations from everyone.

Don't you worry your heads~ The lemon is coming! I won't leave you guys without one. But, after the lemon, I will wrap it up the same way I did with A New Start. I really wanted to focus on Misaki soooo much, but had to reign it in.
