Henry wakes up on the floor. He looks down to see a drawing on the floor. He then remembers what happened. His old friend, Joey Drew, sent him a letter to come back to the old animation studio he used to work at. After which he found no one, turned on the ink machine, and was attacked by what looked like bendy, the old cartoon character in the studio. He got up and said to himself "well, only one thing to do now, press on. See if I can find a way out". He picks up the axe he had found earlier then notices something, there's a door that wasn't there before he passed out. He then goes to investigate.- Johnny Smith, or what the automated guide voice decided to call him Eggs Benedict, was walking around in the maintenance area of Circus Baby's pizzeria and animatronic rental service. He had recently started a job here, making sure the animatronics were in working order after the day. This was his second day, or rather night, on the job and he was already getting strange feelings from this place. The automated voice then said "In order to get power working again, it needs to be rebooted, I will go offline for a moment". All the lights then go out. After a moment he hears a soft female voice say "who are you, are you new? Why are you here, by your own free will? That is a strange thing, to want to come here willingly. You're in danger. There's a strange new door to your left, you should be safe in there". He then hears something approaching from the dark, and goes through the door to his left. He takes out a flashlight as he goes down a hallway. While walking he sees the normal posters he's used to, such as Ballora, Funtime Foxy, and Circus Baby. But as he continues down he begins to see posters for what appear to be old cartoons, with characters such as, Bendy the Dancing Demon, Alice Angel, and Boris the wolf. As he walks he begins to hear footsteps from around a corner. He shines his flashlight light in the direction, his hands shaking, and says with his voice shaking "who's there? Show yourself?" The person comes around the corner and Johnny sees an older man, who seemed rather muscular, with grayish brown hair, this being Henry. Henry says in a relieved tone "oh good another person, can you help me get out of here?" Johnny asked him "what do you mean?" Henry explains "I used to be an animator for old cartoons. After thirty years my old boss invited me back to this animation studio. I turned on this strange machine and was attacked by something, and now I'm stuck here". Johnny looks at him and says "this isn't an animation studio, it's a pizzeria. I'm the security guard and mechanic for the animatronics. The exit is just up an elevator back that way. And why are you holding an axe?" Henry answers "I used this axe to clear a path earlier. Anyway you mind if I use the elevator to get out of here?" Johnny says "well it won't work, the powers out at the moment, but we can stick together while we wait for it to turn back on". Henry nods as they make their back where Johnny came from. They come to the room Johnny had left earlier. The soft female voice speaks again "you need to hide, the person before you made a spot under the desk to hide, use it". They then hear something coming through the vents towards them. They go under the desk and slide a cover over the opening. They hear a few child like voices talking, "where is he?" "Under the desk". The cover then begins sliding open and they try to hold it closed. Just as they are about to lose their grip, they hear more footsteps coming towards them. They here one of the voices ask "who is this?", followed by the loud sound of metal colliding. They then hear a male voice say "sheep, sheep, sheep, time for sleep". They here the footsteps leave and come out from under the desk. Before they can discuss anything the soft voice speaks again "listen, the automated voice is going to instruct you to manually restart the power. You are going to have to go through Ballora's hall to get there. He is going to instruct you to go as fast as possible, if you do this, you will die. You will have to move slowly, she can not see so she has to listen for you, when you hear the music that means she's listening for you, stop when you hear it and continue when it goes away". The robotic automated voice begins speaking "you will have to restart power manually, proceed through Ballora's hall to get to the breaker room. Make sure to move as fast as possible so as to not disturb Ballora". They begin walking out and come to the entrance to Ballora's hall. They enter and begin moving quietly to the other side. They then hear some music and stop. They hear pistons and robotic joints walk by around them. The music stops and they proceed to the breaker room. They are then startled by the guide voice speaking, the noise echoing through the large expanse of Ballora's hall "you seem to be taking a while, please proceed as fast as possible". They freeze as the music begins to get louder quickly. Henry sees a vague silhouette of a tall thin humanoid figure in a ballet pose pass them spinning. It stops and Johnny begins to panic, does it hear their breathing? It seems it is about to approach them when something else appears, a blob of ink seems to just ooze up from the floor and take a humanoid shape. It spots Ballora first and attempts to attack her, crawling across the floor on its hands without legs. This drives Ballora away and gives Henry and Johnny a chance to get to the breaker room. Johnny begins returning power to the building while Henry observes the process. He's never seen anything like this, screens so advanced, there was circuitry everywhere and the screen seemed to be receptive to touch. He comments "this place seems to have pretty advanced technology". Johnny replies "I guess, I don't really care about this place at all, just here for some extra cash. I planned to work a week then get out of here". He chuckles lightly after hearing the last phrase of his statement and Johnny questions "what's so funny?" Henry sighs as he reminisces "you remind of someone I used to work with at the studio, young janitor, his name was Wally. He didn't like people or working at the studio that much but if you didn't bother him and put your trash in the garbage can he was friendly enough". He chuckles again "the funny thing about what you just said, he would end every conversation he was in with the phrase", Henry imitated a Broklyn accent "I'm outta here". Johnny chuckles and ask Henry "so, what was it like working at an animation studio?" Henry explained "it wasn't very interesting for me, I just sat at a desk in a corner and drew the cartoons. There weren't many people who enjoyed working at the studio", "Well why was that?" "Mostly the guy who owned the studio, his name was joey Drew, he was a man of ideas, and only ideas. He didn't really respect any of the workers, but he wrote the paychecks so we kept working". Johnny jokes "wow, only heard of the guy for ten seconds and I already hate him", "he has that effect on people.'' Henry asked back, "Do you know who runs this establishment?" Johnny thinks for a moment "I think the animatronics were made by someone's who's last name is Afton, though the first name is escaping me". Henry leans on a wall as he listens to Johnny "from what I've heard the guy is pretty secretive, doesn't really talk to people at all". Henry nods as he adds "Joey was pretty different, he would be delivering speeches about dreams a lot, pretty much all he did around the studio". They chuckle to each other, completely forgetting about the animatronics and whatever those ink creatures were. They decide to formally introduce themselves as Johnny extends a hand "Johnny", Henry returns "Henry", as shake. But they can't get too comfortable before they hear "hey bawn bawn, I think I see the birthday boy over there!" This snaps them back into the reality of their situation. Henry holds his ax at the ready and scans their surroundings. He looks into the pitch black darkness, searching for the source of the high pitched raspy voice. He then spots something in the brief light of electrical sparks, a large purple and white bear wearing a top hat. The light disappears as Henry stares at where the bear was, only a few feet away from them. The light returns and the bear has disappeared, causing Johnny and Henry to panic slightly. They search for the bear, trying to see if they have any chance of survival. The voice echoes from the darkness again "I can see you over there birthday boy". The sparks reveal the bear, only a foot from Johnny's face. The bear's cold emotionless eyes and large mouth agape, filled with metallic teeth. Johnny stumbles back and accidently hits a button. He puts his arms in front of his face as he hears a high pitched voice "no one is here, let's go back to our stage". The lights flicker and they see the bear has retreated a few feet away from them. Johnny looks to the button and signals Henry to man it. Henry walks to the button and keeps an eye on the bear. He hears its voice "here I come birthday boy", and uses the button to respond "you silly, no one is here". Henry continues this cycle as Johnny works on restarting power in the building. Johnny finishes returning power and nods to Henry. They are both then hit on the back of the head and knocked unconscious. They wake up, both tied up, with a man wearing overalls and a Bendy mask standing in front of them holding Henry's axe. He begins speaking "ah our little sheep are awake, excellent. For now the ritual can begin, for you will be the sacrifices to summon our lord. He will come and free me from this dark inky prison I call a body". He then looks at Henry "wait, you look familiar to me, that face. Not now, for our lord is calling to us, soon he will hear me, he will set us free". He then puts down the axe and walks into the darkness. They hear him say "sheep, sheep, sheep, time for sleep. Rest your head, it's time for bed. In the morning, you may wake, or in the morning, you'll be dead". He begins screaming "Hear me Bendy arise from the darkness, arise and take my offering! Free me I beg you. I summon you ink demon, arise and take these tender sheep!" They hear a different female voice say "what's this I hear, is someone in my hall?" The man screams "quiet robotic creature, be gone, you will not interfere in the ritual!" They then hear loud metal banging and growls. The man shouts "no my lord stay back, I am your prophet, I am your ahhh-". They hear the female voice they had just heard say "what is this, who is here? Ahhhh-". Ink begins bleeding out from the walls and they break free. Henry grabs his axe as Johnny asks panicked "what's going on?!" Just then, the man's Bendy mask and the Ballora anamotronic's arm fly past them. After which, a tall, skinny, version of Bendy with ink dripping down his eyes comes out of the darkness. Johnny screams in terror "WHAT IS THAT THING!?" Henry yells "RUN!", as both of them begin running and Bendy chases. They run to the exit of Ballora's hall and slam the door behind them. They hear bendy banging on the metal door before moaning and walking away. Henry catches his breath and says "well, let's get out of here". Johnny says back "one problem, the ink seems to have broken the elevator, we are stuck here". Henry looks over, speaking exasperated and annoyed "well that's just great".
