William's Vision

"Hey William". A woman snaps William back to focus on his surroundings.

"Huh? Oh sorry". The latter has realised he and his family are heading out. They were at the point of the exist, where William was the first to leave. Followed by his father, step mother, and his younger sister. Too unreal for him, but a substantial level of joy to take. It amazes him that his father wasn't preoccupied in the mornings with Queen Consolidated. Last he remembered, regarding Star City, he was mostly involved with vigilante career and Queen Consolidated.

Looking at the outside world, in terms of the city he's in, William doesn't recognise the towers. It's way different compared to Star City and Central. First nod he foresaw judged when he perceived the structure of his family's apartment. William resumes to scrub in view around the whole city, from a lower perspective point. In which it concerned his parents.

"William?", his father called.

William turned around to meet his father's eyes.

"You've gone a little wobbly, are you sure you're not catching anything-?"

"I'm fine Dad. Really, I'm fine", William assured to both his father and mother, making them both smile. "But I do have one question?".

The father glanced to his wife, before revolving back to William. "Resume".

"Are we in Star City?", William asked, after receiving permission to question from his dad. His parents started chuckling, amused over William's question though it was serious.

"We left Star City months ago Will", his mother retorted. "Star City is in safe hands, thanks to the vigilantes of it working with the SCPD. Apprehended Diaz. Star City doesn't need the Green Arrow to operate over it. Plus we're not in Earth-1. We're in my world; Earth-38".

William was told from his dad of the basic knowledge of multiverse, though it wasn't in exact details, it was enough for William to acknowledge the truth there are multiple worlds, multiple iterations of a specified person, possibly holding different characteristics. Even a world of preponderance of aliens living in diverse regions in the world.

"What about your company, your father's-?"

"My company is still operational, still ruled by my dad", the man cuts William off.

"But how are we living in a nice, beautiful apartment?", William questioned. "I thought-".

"We've got our lives bricked thanks to an old friend of ours. Me withheld as the Mayor of National City", his dad addressed, briefly gazing at his wife, smiling.

"You sure you're not feeling bad?", William's step mom questioned. "You seem to be suffering a little bit of amnesia".

"No. No. I'm fine. I just haven't really slept well last night", said William, briefly scratching his head. "Just exams-".

"Told you not to stress with your exams. You have all the time you have. Just try not to push yourself", the father advised, in which William responded with a weak smile.

Their small-pint conversation came to a close as a black limousine arrived to collect the family.

William's dad gestured his family to come on abroad inside the long car. For William, things have gone ten times the craziness. His father, a mayor in another world, where no one saw him as a public figure, with no ties to any of Earth-38 residents.

Dark Supergirl's Space Station

Kara carries William under her arms, by her Kryptonian powers. She's taking her adopted son to the medical bay, hoping to fix him. He hasn't woken up since Kara was told by Kalex of William's current status, which was when William was with his crew, the resistance.

Kalex observes on William's body, using hands powered by bio scans. Passed time in fifteen minutes. Kalex has completed his observation on William's body, reappearing before Kara, whom standed for the said number of minutes.

"How is he?", Kara inquires.

Kalex concludes his obverses on William by explaining in basic biology terms, in which Kara can understand at ease. Viewed on William in a state of prolonged unconsciousness, which shocks Dark Supergirl. Though she lost her morals following Oliver's death, she vowed she would watch over their children. Causes Kara to hammer on a close wall, with midway-sheer force that it made a huge dent on the targeted wall.

"What caused him to drift into his own dead rest?"

"One of the Parademons were infected with an unknown virus. My guess is one of them may have accidentally landed on William", said the AI.

Kara swears to himself with such foul words she cursed herself. "How long will he be like this for?", Kara required to know, indirectly gazing at the AI as her face is lowed down.

"It's difficult to predict. Schematics for this case is undependable. The charts are immeasurable. I don't think, not in my current episode, can I have the rightful capabilities to restore your step son's consciousness from his deep end. It's unlike anything I've ever encountered in all the years passed since the day your created me", Kalex announces.

"I gave you the Multiverse's best set of technologies and features infused within you to serve me with utmost considerable capacity", Kara deemed. She raised her head, sharply eyeing at the droid that levitates over her, in which the AI slowly moves back as Dark Supergirl firmly ambles towards the machine. "Braniac assets. Sinestro Corps. Kryptonian and Daxamite tech. Lord Technologies. L-Corp. Wayne Enterprises. Warlord Techs. Even the assets withheld from Apokolips", she listed. She is now at the dawn of releasing her heat vision. "Now you're telling me you can't figure a way to save his life".

"I am truly sorry Lord Kara Zor-El-Queen. William was heavily dozed under circumstances that are ultimately unknown. No one in the Multiverse is aware of it", Kalex apologises.

"Your sorrows aren't mandatory. You are a machine, programmed to obey every will command I mark. Which issues now. Can you propound what the disease was initially targeted at", Kara said.

"Conferred from the readings of what's affected on William, it looks to be a source compacted on Apokolips", Kalex presumed.

"New Genesis", Kara presumed based on the information gathered. Infliction and the frame of it made sense. New Genesis and Apokolips are designated as oppositions for centuries, prior to a peace treaty. "They might've secretively polluted universes William and the Insurgency went through. Could be a contingency which ultimately backed away".

"New Genesis no longer exists due to you overwhelming them, and destroying in the process", Kalex reminds.

"I know. That's why I'm going to the past", Kara addressed.

"A reconnaissance on New Genesis?", Kalex questioned.

"No. I'm going to make sure I exist as a whole. And Kalex it's time I embark on invasion. Courtesy of my future self", said Kara.

William's Vision

Baseball match. One of William's favourite times to witness. It fascinates him to perceive the team he supports on the winning side. Their opponents are lowered in lesser figures. One William was eager to see the outcome. It'd be him filled with thousands of astonishment. Many balls lashed, exerted, thrown, caught by a few people that sit in the sidelines, structured around the whole field.

William is sided with his mom, whom carries her baby. And his dad sitting beside him. William's father has great affection for baseball. He regularly overlooks matches via TV. To William, he's astounded his father actually has the time to attend a match to see. A definite part of his fantasy, one William couldn't believe is true.

In slit second time, one final player made it home to his base, safe from being taken out. Marks a resulting win, in which it cheers William. Never occurred to William to, in trident goods, he'd be this happy. Latter is presented with a full of smiles from his parents, as they show how happy they are for William. It's what they want.

"Aren't you looking way shady in your gloomy smile. So good-looking. So-". The step mom was cut off by her husband.

"Let's not patronise our son like that", the father reserved.

The family arrived in an area by the front of the stadium, where the limousine is parked in awaiting their arrival. They've just finished their partake in seeing the match, which later went to an end, at the same time concluding the win of a team William supports. Now they're delivered inside their private car.

Questions slowly fade away. Questions precised on how all his improbably concepts of imagining a particular event suddenly come straight to real life. It's infallibly luck. But an infinite number of lucks is clearly the impossible. In William's mind, it's filled with layers of enjoyment and contentment.

"Dad?", William called, alerting his father, and subsequently to his foster mom.

"Yes?", Oliver responded.

William briefly motioned his skinned nut, avoiding his decomposed state in a form of awkwardness.

"Thank you for retiring from being the Green Arrow. It means a lot. Every time in my life, I always wondered what would happen to you while you continued to rein the Green Arrow suit. I mean you always risk yourself for the lives of the people in Star City. Like her, in National City, as Supergirl. Like the Flash, in Central City, from Earth-1", said William.

"It was because something drawed me back to you, convinced me to think about you more than everyone. During Diaz's overhauling in Star City. During his incursion, using assets, equipment of every insider, inherited within Star City's sequence of lawful operations, to bring the city to its knees, even my family, I began to realise how much danger I'm damaging to my family every time I put on the suit. Made me learn that my frustration was when I put the hood on and resume to neutralise Star City's toxic inflammation. I understood that I should worry for my family. Although your mom doesn't need saving. She is dubbed as the Girl of Steel", William's dad says.

"I'm sorry for making you-", William tried apologising but was cut off by his father's gesture.

"You don't need to apologise or beg. I understand you. More than anyone. And I would love to have your life involved with mine", he reassured to his son. "I made a promise to you many times William; I won't leave you ever again, I won't let you live alone, lived as an orphan. You will have a great adventure ahead of you, I'd propose it with no defiance. Even if I were to pass, Kara and Mia will always be there for you. That I warranty".

Real World

Dark Supergirl's Space Station

A large steeled door slides in affair, division, sepearting to two opposite directions. As it reveals Kara entering a vault shaded mostly of navy blue. Walls crusted with the darker version of blue. A large glassed container made use as a prison cell that houses a metahuman, Supergirl is very well aware of. A cell that negates his metahuman abilities, preventing him from at any time to try to escape.

The inmate registers Dark Supergirl's presence, standing up to confront the Girl of Steel by the eyes, standing by the fully glasses frame. His jump scare kicks in as Kara lasers a jolt of heat vision by a point beside the glass container, making the inmate jump two paces back. He immediately stood back up though slowly after grunting when he unintentionally hit the ground.

Posterior to Kara releasing her heat vision to scare the inmate off, she displays a pleasurable smile, indicating his enjoyment of sneering with her prisoner.

"You sure have coolness to acknowledge you're hurting your own friends", the inmate remarked.

Dark Supergirl reached his point in stand, completely gazing her eyes at her prisoner.

"I don't need your speed to keep my base in constant touch. Therefore, I didn't need to shove your windy legs on a treadmill anymore", said Kara.

"Then why are you manipulating and tormenting me? Torture? Vendetta? Revenge? We were allies, good friends. A family. Yet you choose to hurt the people who care for you", said the prisoner.

"I see it as a bias. I thought I could live a life of peace in my civilian life, whilst engaging crime to preserve it, to ensure security is at most extreme, accentuate secured degree. All it brought was pain to grow. I thought friends and family can minimise the pain and darkness. Instead they're just residue, expendables", Dark Supergirl accounted.

"That's not the Kara I know. The Kara I know would accomplish anything; pursuing foes and enemies, and considering the stakes on people's hands. Like your cousin", said the inmate.

When Kara heard the inmate's tone in words of suggested to bring the name of her cousin, her instincts jabbered in shooting heat vision, swiftly at her right.

"You should know that I've killed my cousin. No remorse", Kara mentions, shocking the prisoner out of his insides' yellow.

"How could you kill your only living blood Kara? He's your cousin", the inmate says, while feeling the carry by current of air blowing him back. "Family is what you should treasure the most, and not at any time just waste it by killing them".

"Is that a fact?", Kara spits at. "What about your family?! Don't you always feel so pissed you want to throw it all on your friends and family?!". It got the prisoner to put his full attention to Kara. "24 years ago, Hunter Zolomon impelled his hand on your father's torso. You thirsted a desire to make him suffer for what he did to you, broke you down into a mad dog, cleavages to break him. But gets immobilised by your pathetic team. Your pathetic wife, your pathetic foster father. Your useless friends. They subdued you in rebellion".

Discerning to listening to the words expressed on his family, their reckless actions, made the prisoner grit his teeth, while squeezing his hands into a bigger grip.

"If it was me in your shoes, I'd impel their hearts with instant force. Just like what I did to Darkseid, Braniac and Superman", Kara clarifies. "We have a common history, loaded similarly in Oliver. Thus far, you choose to hold back from becoming a monster. And intend to go against me. That makes you an adversary that I will enslave. Once I take over the past like I did to this whole pitted multiverse. Not even Barry Allen, AKA the Flash, can apprehend me, or beat me. Let alone kill me if your ever had to legitimately opt to take lives". Kara condemns a smile before speeding off, leaving Barry's prison.

"Take over the past?", Barry captured a line to memorise in his head, understanding it. "She wouldn't mean...?". Barry understood what Kara's next phase is. It's something that could extinguish disruptions of timelines falling over one another. Like corpsed time streams. "She really is", he surmised. He saw what Kara had done to the whole multiverse. She is virtually the strenuous, outreached threat to the multiverse. More powerful than the likes of multiverse's underwent existed doomsday, from the past.
