Chapter 23: Time with my wife and side story from the dragons
Meanwhile outside of the penthouse, at the front yard, We find the dragons and Ray's monsters enjoying their time together as the girls who inquired the dragons about what they did for a living, Schuberta inquires with the dragons about Zarc's behavior. Star or known as Lyrilusc Recite Starling, noticed the behavior Schuberta has in her eyes. Sure Schuberta is the serious and the smart one but this time, she's not trusting Zarc at all. "Bertie." Star called her friend by the nickname, "Are you ok?" Schuberta looked at the wisecracking but supportive friend of her's. "Something is wrong here." Answered the melodious woman then looks at her friends and her musical family. "How has Zarc been treating you since yesterday?" The girls told Schuberta that Zarc treated them with kindness and so charming of manners. Of course each one has a way on how Zarc treated them with kindness. Winter Bell or Bella, who is not the brightest nor the maturest (like Sonata, who is another one of Schuberta's nieces) but who is the kindest of the group, told her leader that Zarc gave her a shine on her amor and now glitters in the sunlight as it shines like no other. Lunalight Cat Dancer or Cathrine, Who is a bit of southern belle due to her origin of a Mardi Gras cat and can be lusty at times as well as being self-conscious, said that Zarc, made her a new outfit that will help the Belle for her date later on, along with with a nice hair styling as well. Sonata, Aria, and Bloom Diva (or Bloom for short) told their aunt that Zarc gave them great manicures and said they will be a great inspiration for one doll he is making for his shop. "But why would he do that?" Schuberta questioned the obvious, "I do not understand." Soon she looked at lastly to the dragons, since they know him very long. "So tell me." Schuberta began, "How does he treated you?" Clear Wing, one of the smartest but slightly the most confused due to overload of memories since he seems let machine, answered her question with the word "family." Dark Rebellion, who is the toughest, explained how Zarc's life began, how he was, and how did it happen. The girls are so shocked and gasped from what they're hearing. "Why did he kill them?!" Sonata asked in shock. Dark Rebellion explained that Zarc was scared and angry. According to Zarc's mother, Saria before death. She is born a demon, somehow that power went to him and in his heart. Only love can keep it contained the Xyz dragon said. As long he is given happiness from Ray, Zarc won't fuse the dragons with him to become the ultimate monster. (A/n yea I don't think that will last in a year honey.) Much to Schuberta's shock, she protested, "You can't ask us to keep her with him, he's dangerous!" The melodious Maestra exclaimed, "What if he harms the mistress?!" Then soon a small but not to serious argument broke out between her and Dark Rebellion. In a little bit we Zarc and Ray, leaving the penthouse. "Fancy that." Cat Dancer spoke, "See you guys soon ya'll!"
Soon they got to a phone store to pick a new phone out for Ray. The couple got out of the car and went inside to do the works. Once inside, Ray looked around and found a pretty Iphone 6* and picked it out. Zarc bought the phone and got it setted up for her. During the setup, Zarc has them install a special chip. Ray waits for her phone to be done so she can give it a cute phone case later. Ray looks at her husband, trying to pass the time by making a conversation. "So Zarc ever wished for kids your own someday?" Zarc chuckles at the idea."Kids?" he asked as he held Ray's hand, "I hadn't thought about it." Zarc thinks about it a bit then looked at his wife. "I'm sure I'd be a good father, but I'm not sure if now is the right time." Since it is too early for the couple to do something. "I just want to spend time with my wife right now." Ray understood his answer then said, "If you want to think about, I can wait." Zarc strokes Ray's hair, looking into her eyes in calmness and curiosity. "What do you think?" Zarc asked. Ray answered the question in wanting a girl. "Oh yeah?" Zarc asked, "Why a little girl?" Ray clasped her hands together in beginning to explain, "Just think about it." Ray began, "We can dress her up in cute clothes, potty training will be easy, and plus, you can name her after your mom: Saria." Ray makes a really good point. They CAN name a little girl after someone Zarc lost years ago. Zarc chuckled from the thought then held Ray close gently. "Hehe, keep thinking it honey." Suggested the husband as he obtains the new phone, "Maybe I'll come around. Zarc then gives Ray her new phone, the two went out of the doors for a walk.
The couple walked around the park, looking at the trees that isn't solid vision (much to Zarc's relief) and a few flowers that is the same thing who blossomed to show their beauty. Ray's hand is held by Zarv as they walk pass the trees that are blooming flowers. "This is the loveliest walk that I can remember." Ray declared as she then looked at Zarc, "Isn't it Zarc?" Zarc looked back at Ray in agreement, "Every walk I have with you is lovely." Ray smiled warmly at such answer then held his hand more, giving all the love and happiness to keep the demon's heart tamed. "I love you Zarc." Ray confessed. Zarc smiled warmly and kissed her head. "I love you too, Ray." as they walk, Meanwhile with Schuberta, she still isn't completely convinced as she see in Zarc that something isn't right. As for Leo Akaba, who is back at his lab, in his home, had filed a police report for Zarc. But since the two were a couple and Ray left voluntarily, not much can be done.
After their walk, the married couple is at the bench watching the birds who isn't solid vision but the last few surviving hop around for seeds. "Thank you for the new phone by the way Zarc." Thanked the wife as she looks at her love, "I hope the last one didn't hurt the poor monster." Zarc looked at her kinda surprised on what she said. "Odd eyes?" He asked, "Nah, he's fine." Zarc then mentions that Odd Eye's been having weird cravings lately and then remembers to ask Ray something. "My duel is starting in a couple hours, want to come?" Ray is excited to get to watch Zarc duel again then spoke, "Of course." She answered, "I will root you along the..." Then suddenly she begins to remember about what happened the the stadium between her, Zarc, and Leo. She looked at Zarc with a sad look on her face. " On second thought." Ray answered, "If my dad is there and see us together again, he'll try to take me away from you again." Ray is saddened from such memory then felt a gentle hug, all the sudden, from Zarc. "I'll have the car drive you home then." Said the husband with the solution, "I'll have you with me in my heart." And indeed he will. With that said, Zarc waves his car over and opens the door for her (a/n Now THAT'S a smart car!). "Smart car." Ray complimented in impressiveness and got into the vehicle. Zarc kissed her goodbye, before heading to the stadium. As he heads to the stadium, his romantic and kind nature change as he walks on the field. "Alright, assholes." The demon speaks, cracking his knuckles, "Who's ready for pain?" With those word, the duel began.
