Somewhere outside of the Speed Force
Based on eyesight. The blackened spaces soon fade out, existing in the sunshined domain. The white brightness pencils in its shades. Her eyes gaze her surroundings. She realises she's in an alley, far from the public streets. In which she finds it shocking to literally hear the voices of the people. People taken action to act like normal human beings.
She jots down to know that Linda is still in her grasp. And William is by her side. There are two people missing.
"Bruce? Nora?", she calls.
She holds up to recompose herself. She soon hears the prowl of William, whom moved his hand on his side forehead. He groans to let the small pain dribble down to silence. William then opens his eyes to register his surroundings, realising they're in a narrowed passage.
"Mia? Where are we? Where is this place?", William questions. He soon records to list that Nora and Bruce aren't with them. "Where're our friends?".
Mia glances down on William, prior to collaring him by her hands, leaping up onto the rooftop of the building that stands beside them.
Landing on the rooftop, William and Mia registers anything significant down the streets they perceive as they walked to the other side of the ledge.
They see the road preoccupied with thousands of active cars in opposite directions in two lanes.
"I think our question lays on what year we're in", Mia raises.
Linda slowly recovers, whilst being supported by Mia behind her.
"These cars. They're from the late 2010s. They use fossil fuels to give vitality to their vehicles to move", William expresses his quick observation.
Out of no direction, a scrapped newspaper hits on William's face, from below. Mia, noticing it's a newspaper, quickly takes it out of his face. Latter explores on the paper, travelling through any important facts herself and William need to be aware of.
"What's on the paper?", William asks. He was soon shutting down, perceiving his eyes into the newspaper.
"Now we know what year we're in", Mia proclaims.
The two revolve their gazes to the whole wide town.
"We're in the year 2019", William completes. He goes back to looking down on that paper he perceived. He sees some other consequential reports. Ones that really impact them. "Former Mayor Queen disappears from Star City. Vigilantes siding with the SCPD. The Flash apprehends Devoe months ago. We're certainly aware of that".
"Cicada?", Mia sees the front headline that she wasn't concentrated, accidentally.
"Oh. The Jack the Ripper sort", said William.
"I know who he is. A serial killer that left a trail of bodies. More consistent than Zoom. Even the Red Death, whom appeared briefly in Central City. Which speaking of we're in". They both knew it straight away as they quickened the eye on the top side of the paper. They are in Central City.
They were seconds not alone, as they sensed a forced windy feeling they can recognise.
"You guys don't have to do this", a man, whom sped to their point, stood in front of them. His pitch was blended with tons of voices merged together. He assumed they were about to commit suicide, which he intended to prevent from happening.
"Flash? Mr. Barry?", William correctly exclaims, shocking the man before him as he never expected an assumed bundle of humans to guess they're names.
The Flash unblurs himself, next in bidding his cowl off. "How do you know who I am?", the revealed Barry demands, in a mixture of soft and hard tones.
"Because we're-", William was about to say before being elbowed by Mia. "What?".
"Can't tell him who we are. If we reveal ourselves to them, it will affect the timeline", Mia mutters to William, with an aggressive tone.
"Come on Mia. We can trust him. He's parents' closest friend. A colleague. A member of their formed Trinity", said William.
"I'm sorry. Who's parents?", Barry asked.
William gazes to Mia, whom lowed his toned face down. "Okay. Go ahead".
Barry is confused at what the assumed brother and sister are talking about. "Do you mind filling me in? Please?".
"You were like great father figures to us Flash. Specially Sara. Because you. Sara. You all supported our parents. Oliver. Kara. And us.", said William.
Barry experiences a sage of shock. "Oliver and Kara's kids?!", Barry exclaims.
"Well. I'm William. Not Kara's son. Step son. Mia and that young girl Linda are both Kara and Oliver's impeccable genetics", William introduced.
"Barry what's your status?", a female voice requests to Barry, by comms.
"Oliver and Kara's kids?", Barry addressed. "Iris I think we're meeting inhabitants from the future".
William and Mia are aware of Barry's origins. His colleagues. And his ego. They know opponents, they know the Flash will face in the future. Though it was never anticipated for them to meet the Flash. Neither appearing alive after being chased by the Girl of Steel. In the present, it's all engrossed into a high degree of astonishment.
A/N: This chapter marks the final approach of this whole story. I thought I could produce more chapters that'd rival with my other long completed chapters. Seems I was wrong. I thought I could make this story out of certain aspects focused an iteration of the Arrow Season 7's flashforward scenes. I now know I couldn't. Because this story illustrates on the concept of someone who took the lives of millions, therefore no living being left in any demolished town. In the Arrow Season 7's scenes, it was entirely different. It focused on the future of Star City. 2040. A big difference but I thought I could explore the dynamics between Linda, William, and Mia. And add Connor Hawkes, who was a character seen in the flashforward scenes.
Another reason why I completed the story so abrutly was to move on the Crises on Earth-X story. A mega crossover that happened in the end of 2017. The crazy stuff. A great length to put everything into one whole side. Too bad they couldn't do it in multiple episodes. Because of budgets. A vast difference between animation and live action.
The status of Dark Supergirl; she's not really dead. That's a fact I will give out. She plays a heavy part for the entire storyline.
Also, they're going to be further complications regarding the events folded. Just caused after the collision between Dark Supergirl and the Speed Force. Change some things.
That's the facts I will give. Stay tuned for the next story. I assure you it won't exactly be the same as the canon mega crossover, from CW's DC TV show.
