Chapter 27: Heading to the Bahamas
Back at the plane, we find Zarc sitting next to Ray as she looks through the window. Zarc looked at his wife then said, "As I was saying, I want us to move out." Ray looked at her husband in being sure, "Really? She asked, "I suppose we can find a new home but where?" Ray remembered that a suburban home is lot bigger than the apartment and the manor is lot larger than the suburban and the apartment combined. Zarc thinks a bit then resumes. "Hmmm... what I had in mind was a little bit BIGGER." Ray begins to think about a manor. Her train of thought got lost when Scrap eyes popped out of nowhere to speak with Zarc. "I don't get why you not fond of akaba or the security Zarc what is it you bellyaching about?" Scrap Eyes blurted out, since he witnessed what happened there. In a response, Zarc grabbed the dragling by the neck, slowly choking him, out of anger. "You... talk... too... much." Zarc growled, Scrap Eyes swallowed then apologized. With that done, Scrap Eyes had been released and he then scampered into Ray's purse. Ray looked back to Zarc after her train of thought came back. "Really?" Ray asked, "Can you show me?" Zarc placed his hand on her's. "I will honey, when we get closer to it." Zarc promised, "For now, just relax and enjoy our trip." Something is off about how Zarc is sounding. He sounds far too mellow for someone who was attacked at security. Ray noticed such tone and thinks to herself, 'I understand he's a demon but something's a bit off.' Ray then pulls out a novel so she can read on the plane. 'Oh well whatever it is, it's nothing.'
Later, it is now night time and we find Ray looking at her phone as we find pictures of her with her Dad before she met Zarc (a/n guess Zarc transferred her stuff into the new phone before the old one got eaten.) Zarc saw her with a sad look as he just came back from the restroom. "Ray something matter?" Zarc asked as he sat back down. Ray looked at her husband with her tear filled eyes. "Oh hey Zarc." She said, "I just don't understand why is all." Ray closed her phone so she can focus on Zarc. "My Dad's not that strict on me before." Zarc remembered how he got Ray away from Leo and with him out of Ray's life, Zarc can keep Ray with him for something he planned. Anything happens to break them apart, Zarc will tear it down. "Well it's over now babe." Zarc reassured as he then placed his arm around her, "When we get to the Bahamas, we get to have a whole lot of fun to forget the misery." Ray yawned as she is getting tired. After all, it is. 15 hour flight. Zarc got their airline seats into bed mode since they are traveling first class and he then pulls the covers over the married couple. "I just hope things will get better Zarc." Mentioned the wife as Zarc kissed her on the head. "It will dear." As he watches her drifted off to sleep then spoke in a very dark voice. "And I know how to do it."
The next morning, The plane arrives and we find Zarc, very mellowly escorts Ray to get her bags and to the car. Scrap eyes is in Ray's purse since he is small enough to fit in there. "Are we there yet?" He asked. Ray looked at the dragling. "Not yet Scraps." Ray answered, "We need to get the rental car first. The gang got out of the airport and went to the rental car. The dragons and the nature fairies went in first and Odd Eyes got stuck. "Oh dear." Ray noticed. Zarc goes to the dragon then tries to shove him in, getting him in stuck. Succeeded, Zarc helped Ray in next. "Thanks." She said and Zarc went to the driver's side and then turns on the car. Ray looked at Zarc who is setting the car in drive. "The car's rental right?" She asked. Zarc is still sounding too mellow but managed to answer yes. Zarc then drives to their place they're going to stay in. After minutes of Scrap Eyes asking are we there yet and the two female monsters going through hormones, they arrived to a private rented house. Oh well at least it's lot better than staying at a hotel full of crying kids and too many people. But from the looks of it, it is quite stunning and beautiful. It is like a beach house but a little more fancier. "Oh it looks so beautiful." As we see awe in Ray's eyes. Zarc pulled in then turned the car off. "You're the one who's beautiful Ray." Zarc complimented as he gently took her by the chin lovingly, "So full of light and warmth..." With that said, Ray giggles as she's been flattered.
