Chapter 28: Enjoying the Bahamas
With the whole gang getting settled into the beach house, Ray begins to release her three melodious monsters from their cards;letting them loose. Aria looked at the temporary home she'll wander around. "Oh wow!" Aria is awed by the looks inside, "You really know how to book things." Zarc is flattered from the compliment that the melodious diva made. "Indeed..." He agreed, "I am perfect like that." As soon as Zarc put his luggage down for a minute, he released his own monsters, letting them loose for the first time since the... security incident. The dragons are so relieved that they're out of their cards so they can stretch and yawn. "Oh yes!" Clear wing spoke in ecstasy. Even Dark Rebellion is happy that he's out, "That feels so good!" Ray released her last three monsters then noticed one is missing. "Wait where's Schuberta?" Of course back at the apartment, we find Schuberta watching Golden girls, laughing. With Ray at another area, she can't get Schuberta. Zarc begins to answer Ray's question in a very low voice. "Schuberta was bad," he answered, "So she got let behind." Zarc then begins to grin and said, "No playtime for bad monsters." (a/n dude! you forced the poor monster to keep quiet.) Confused at first, Ray tilts head. Soon she shrugs it off, accepting the answer. The couple went to their bedroom so they can put their luggage ready for a two week honeymoon (a/n and by ready I mean unloading the luggage.) The Monsters looked around to find what to do while they're on their own. "So now what?" Aria asked as she is wanting an idea. Scrap eyes then looked at one part of the beach and that is a jungle. It hit him! they can do something for the monsters to do. Scrap Eyes looked at his uncle. "Hey Uncle Odd Eyes." The smaller dragon spoke, "Let's see what's in the jungle." The other monsters like the idea since they can find something to learn. One Melodious monster, Sonata the Melodious diva however, not fond of going to areas where it can be scary. Odd Eyes goes to the bedroom to tell Zarc where he and the rest are heading. Zarc looked up with taking his white tank out. "Don't go too far," Zarc suggested, "Ray and I will be checking out the house." The pendulum dragon understood those words, then he and the rest of the monsters went off to check what's in the jungle. Meanwhile, Zarc and Ray had just finished unloading their luggage and begins to look around the beach house. They looked through the bathroom, living room, outside, then soon they came to the kitchen. Ray is admired from the looks of the kitchen. "Oh it's so elegant." As her eyes are sparkly in awe. Zarc got closer to Ray then held her waist gently. "Only the best for my beloved." said the demon as he caresses Ray's cheek, "Want to head to the beach?" Ray looked at her husband, liking the idea. "Sure." Says the wife, "I love beaches."
Soon they're in their bedroom and we find Ray pulling out her swimsuit as Zarc changes to his. "Check it out!" Zarc ordered as he finished changing into his new speedo. (a/n I hope it won't expose your balls Zarc.) Ray saw what Zarc is wearing the lustfully smiled. "Well look at this." Ray then shows her two piece swim suit in a pattern of tribal fox. (a/n now that's sexy!) With one look, Zarc's eyes turns into hearts as he loves those. "Put it on!" he ordered in anticipation. Ray begins to change into the swim suit she shown and now wearing it. Ray then done different positions, making Zarc turned on. "Like what you see?" She asked as she then she seductively blow kissed him. (a/n Yup he's gonna get it.) Zarc smiled warmly as he is getting turned on by her body. "Of course!" He answered, "Doesn't matter how often I see it, I still get excited by your body." Ray puts on her beach skirt (a/n You know those transparent but colorful wraps that you can tie around your waist with, making it look like a skirt or dress?) and is ready to go. Smiling warmly, she felt her hand held by zarc and they then left to the beach. Zarc and Ray walked down to the beach, feeling sea air in the faces. "It's so pretty." Ray complimented since she is enjoying the scenery. With that said, Zarc closed his eyes remembering the time at the beach with his mom Saria before her death.
It was when Zarc was five, and he is at the beach with his mother, searching for sea shells. Saria is sitting next to her son who is digging for shells. "A beach is an ecosystem my son." The mother explained, "Lot of fish and marine animals lives her, even when it's hidden." Saria then looked at Zarc as she held a pretty scallop shell that is hiding in the sand. "And in it's sand lives shells, each of them tells a story of the sea." Zarc was digging in the sand with a shovel. "Where Mommy?" He asked, "Where can I find them?" Saria then found a spot where pretty conch shells are at and she gently escorts Zarc to there. "Right here my son." Zarc then found a conch shell and picks it up to keep. Something isn't right though, Zarc look sad. Saria saw that her only son is down. "Sweetie, what's the matter?" She asked in concern, "The conch is beautiful." Zarc remembered on how things used to be real and now it took over bit by bit every year, slowly. "It's not real..." The demonling pointed the obvious, "It was once, but not anymore..." Saria got an idea. "Look." With her power, Saria then placed her hand on the conch making it into the real thing, prettier and shinier right before Zarc's eyes. "Anything fake I made into reality." Zarc was awed from her work with a gasped. "Woah!" Zarc exclaimed with wonder, "Can I do that too Mommy?" Saria smiled warmly to her son then picks him up. "If you believe hard enough," Says the she-demon, "It can happen." Zarc is maybe too young to understand but Saria explained that she and her son are the kind of demons who make wishes come true. Yes they were almost the last of the kind. According to Saria, If people believe in us and gives us kindness we give them something in return that involve what makes it come true. "So you see Zarc," As Saria explain, "As long you have someone we love the most, we give never ending happiness for the future." Coming back to the present, Zarc opened his eyes as he looked up to the sky, thinking to himself, 'You were right mother.' He thought, 'I understand my power now.' But to Zarc however, the world is not deserving of his love. To him it's fake, poisoned. Nothing on this earth to him is worth saving. Nothing except for his wife Ray. With her love, he will make things real again. It will, No! He will make things perfect again. Just for him and his wife. And only him and his wife.
The couple kept walking and soon as they walk, they find a slushy stand. Zarc looked at his wife. "You want one?" He asked. Ray looked at the slushy stand. Yes she did had something to drink back at the plane but she all this walking is making her thirsty. Ray looked at her husband. "Of course," She answered, "I am getting thirsty." The couple goes to the slushy stand and Zarc buys two: one red and one blue. They're adorned with tropical fruits. Zarc gives the man some extra cash, and he puts something else in. "Which one you want?" as Zarc is holding the slushies. "Red please." Ray chose the red one and Zarc then gave her the red slushy. Zarc slurps up the blue slushy then saw Ray sniffing her's a bit. "Try it!" he ordered, showing he gave her a little surprise in it. Ray tried the red slushy, tasting the red fruit flavor. "It's delicious." She complimented. Of course Surprise! Something else is in there! Ray can kind of taste it. Ray looked inside on why that other taste is in the slushy. "What is it?" Zarc grinned cheekily. "Tequila." To Ray's surprise, he added that to turn things up a bit. Ray begins to smile in a seductive way. "Ooh my." She said, "Getting little naughty in slushy huh?" With that said, she sways her hips a bit in showing seduction. Zarc Snorted to her question. "When have I ever needed alcohol for that?" Zarc begins to danced with her and as they dance, Ray smiled warmly. " This is the best day in my life so far." Ray admittedly. Zarc then hugs his waifu warmly. "Believe me," says the husband, "The best day ever is right around the corner!"
Later that night the couple hadn't came back yet but the monsters had. The dragons opened the door of course Zarc and Ray hadn't returned yet. "We're back master." Odd Eyes called, "We brought back dinner." Odd eyes held up a squid and other fish that he and the monsters brought back. Of course the squid did made Sonata cower under the couch, since she's afraid of the squid "We're having sushi tonight." Aria looked around and no one is here. "They're not back yet." Clear Wing got a horrible feeling all over himself. "Did zarc fell asleep at a bar again?!" Catherine looked and saw no one is here. "Why not we get dinner ready?" She suggested, "Maybe it will get Mistress and Zarc come here." The monsters liked the idea and they begins to make sushi. Winter looked at the window. "I hope they're okay and not thinking I'm an idiot" Winter hoped as we find Star sitting at the table. "Please." Star reassured, "They know where they're going, besides they're family." Star spoke, "They KNOW you're an idiot." (a/n What? can't Windwitch Winter Bell be the Rose Nylund of the monster world?) Soon, the couple came back to their vacation home, except for one thing. Zarc is all drunk and Ray is carrying him inside (a/n guess Zarc drank nine blue slushies in one day.) "Guys!" Ray called, "We're back!" Zarc cuddles with Ray while she tries to help him up as he is hiccuping and giggling like an idiot. "Mmmm!" Zarc moaned in drunkenness, "You smell yum... yummy Ray!" with that said, Ray blushed in a flattering manner. "thank you but you're drunk." In the kitchen, the dragons are preparing for a big meal, since they brought back some seafood. Clear Wing was the first one to notice Zarc's reaction. "Is he drunk again?" He asked. Ray sadly shook her head yes as she knows Zarc got himself drunk again. Zarc's monsters tries to stand their master up as Zarc yells "I do not have a problem" as he giggles uncontrollably. "Well dinner's almost ready." Starve Venom spoke the news as he helps Zarc gets to the table, "So let's get him to the table." There sat at the table: Zarc, who is giggling like an idiot. "Hey, where are those blue, slushy thingies?" Zarc drunkenly asked, "I want another one!" Ray looked at the synchro dragon as she is setting up the table for the food. "He put in tequila into the slushy." To Clear wing's reaction, he facepalmed to what happened. In a few moments, Sushi is delivered to the couple by Sonata and Aria as Zarc is trying to hold himself up. Ray took a bite of the sushi that is from squid. "This is delicious." Ray complimented, "Thank you guys." Zarc tries to eat something, but flops over and passes out, hitting the ground with a thud. Ray sighed to the sight, unamused. "Guess that means no baby making tonight." Ray got a hold on Zarc then took him to bed. After that, she tucks him in then left back to the table."The poor man though." Ray said. After she left, Zarc begins to dream about becoming a dragon burning the world to the ground, Blowing up the lab of Leo's, and roaring in success.
